We got a pop up to tow behind my 1500 Z71 pick up, for a few reasons.

We were just upgrading from a tent, we like to go to smaller state parks, keep it behind the fence and not in storage, and it was something that my truck would pull with no problems.

While at the Fort this past week with my inlaws ( First time campers) we were talking to them about the differant type of trailers and Motor Homes.

For a nice Toy hauler and new truck (2500 or 3500) would cost about the same as a Class A.

What type of millage do you get with your Class As?

What type of millage do you get with yout 5th?

We have a 42' Diesel Motorhome and get about 7-8 mpg but we tow a full size Dodge Ram 1500 with it.

We have a 35' gas class A and get around 7.5 mpg, a bit less if pulling the toad.

my gmc gets about 12mpg (a chevy 455 engine) but it is kept 6 miles form disney so we go through about 2 tanks of gas a year depending on how many state parks we go to

We get anywhere from 10-12mpg towing a 32ft 5th wheel with a F250 Power Stroke. Depends on how fast I decide to drive and how many hills we go over.

My Class A MH has a 300hp diesel & it gets about 8-9 mpg.

I get gas whenever I eat broccoli. Never measured miles per toot!

I have a "vintage" 28' gas moho and get 7.5mpg (towing nothing, light on on-board fluids). That 455 is a HOG, but it sure accelerates and climbs nicely!
