I saw some kids riding carts around late Thursday night and they seemed to be doing everything from racing, jumping from cart to cart, going back on the maintenance road, riding on the dirt trails.
Any one know what Disney would do if they were to catch them?
They were on rental carts so I know Disney would at least take the cart away but is there anything else?

Lets just say I know some one that was caught where they were not supposed to be on a privately owned cart and they were told to leave that area. They should have know better. pirate:

I think they are forced into slave labor behind the scenes and replaced with law abiding clones.

The Disney Po-Po would simply tell them that they were someplace they shouldn't be.
If the kids driving the cart looked too young, they might (and I say might) follow them back to their site and talk to the parents. But lose $58/nite (or whatever the rental is now) by taking the cart away? Doubtful.
I don't blame the kids - cause that's the stupid stuff kids do. I blame the ignorant, self-centered, neglectful, idiodic, parents for not knowing or caring what their kids are up to.
I can tell you a lot of stories about GC & kids that would give you goose bumps....including a cart that ended up in the bottom of Meadow pool, and another that ended up in the little lake by the tennis courts.
The Disney Po-Po (I believe) have been told never to be confrontational with a guest. If something serious needs handling, they call OCSO.

I can tell you HYPOTHETICALLY, not from experience:rolleyes1 That if you were to perhaps quickly leave the line of Maelstrom through a door that apparently isn't an "emergency" exit for just anyone to take, especially if it is just because your child is about to water the floor-they will shut down the ride, and send secret disney security out after you. Hypothetically of course. That said door MAY open up to the back side of the world showcase between Norway and China, and while frantically trying to find the way out with your child crying because she has to pee REALLY bad and she is upset because she won't be on the ride-that said secret security MAY think you are trying to kidnap that child and follow you to the bathroom, and wait for you to come out, just to make sure you really are the parent of said child. Of course I don't know this from experience....:sad2:

Jocelin was 7, it was our last trip this past Oct. I was so embarrassed. No, Jim wasn't following me. He was sitting having a beer, isn't that always the way. He does enjoy making fun of me though.
I swear something always happens to us on our trips. Sometime I'll tell you about the time I was beaten by a seagull in Frontierland.:sad2::upsidedow
