We went to Disney in January for the first time as a family..(dh, me, and ds,6, dd, 4)..I had been 14+ times as a kid/teen.... When we came back, I just wanted to go back right away, so I started entering every online sweepstakes for Disnney trips I could find!
WELL...we won a trip for four, with myw ph for 4 days , 3 nights, custom mm ears, airfare, and a gift card!!!
We're so excited!
We're going in December, staying at the BWI...
we stayed at POP last time, so it's our first deluxe.
The only thing we have to pay for is food!
Now we only have to decide if we want to do MVMCP...We're not so sure,since it's a short trip, if we should exhaust the kids that much!

That is awesome, I would do the MVMCP it is a great party and if you have the chance to go I would.The snow on MAIN Street the special fireworks and the parade and live shows make for a great evening.:goodvibes:goodvibes Danny

That is awesome! I always entered Disney Vacations contests as well. Maybe I'll be the next lucky Diser :)

Awesome win. You should splurge and add the deluxe dining plan to make it the ultimate trip.

I'd check out MVMCP, I'm sure the kids would LOVE it! Just make sure they have their break early that day then they can fully enjoy the evening's festivities! :banana:

We had asked... but alas, not allowed to buy the dining plan when you win! That's ok- I think we actually LOST money last time we did the eating plan, since my daughter (4) ate almost NOTHING.. and we had to buy my son extra food..lol!princess:

How much did you pay in taxes for the free trip?

Haven't paid the taxes yet! But we'll basically be charged taxes on the value of it, about $3000. Still worth it!:banana:

Congrats! are you "opening the park", too? We're supposed to, and our info says they'll give us the info at checkin, along with v gift card, and we get special mickey ears, too!
I just wonder how and when and what day we're opening the park!!!

Congrats!! Have a great time. I would do Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We are doing it for the first time this year but have been watching youtube vids and it looks great. :banana::banana::banana::banana:

We had our trip July 7th - 14th. It was great! We didn't get to open the park, but we were in the Grand Floridian with a theme park view. We could watch the fireworks perfectly from our balcony :)

I hope you have a great time. We're (my dd and I) going back in a month for MVMCP, we've never been for that before :)

I haven't gotten my tax statement yet, but they valued my trip at $5K. What we actually won was airfare for 4, 4 5-day park hopper tix and 5 nights lodging at a deluxe resort. If we had taken the trip to DL instead, it was one less night hotel.

Never did reply after this! :banana:We got to stay at the Boardwalk, and we opened the park, which was BEYOND magical and amazing- then they surprised us by giving us a VIP tour guide for 8 hours! It was such an awe-inspiring trip! We're going again (on our own dime! in November, and I am scared we've been so spoiled it won't be as magical this time!
