You might be asking What is an Ip-Dip? Here is the definition I stole from Mrsksomeday. :lmao:

Ip-Dip

Or Ip-Dip II to be precise. For those who don’t know what the term“Ip-Dip” is I will explain it.

Ip-Dip (definition by Buzz): a person who does something stupid or annoying while at Disney.

The dates for this adventure will be 10/9 - 10/12. Columbus Day weekend. :scared1:

So more info will be coming. I have to space this for it is over 5 months away.

Well the cast is really just me.


Scott - 40 year old guy who loves Disney. I have a partner who on here is known as Biff. He has been to Disney twice now. He likes it. He thought he would not but anytime anyone asks he always recommends it.

I am going solo for this trip. Kind of. Here is a pic of me.

This was a fun thing to decide. First I was going to stay at POP. Now I stayed at POP last October and I really wasn't feeling it all too much. I found it to be loud with all the kids running around and the food court was not that great either, although I did enjoy the cheesesteak wrap and the frozen cokes.

Now on "Enchanted" we have a thread going about the upcoming trip and I said I would like to stay at POR. I love Riverside. Here is why...

So I am heading back to my favorite resort and am so excited. The next 6 months will go so slow but 4 weeks before this trip I have a trip to London, Paris and Disneyland Paris planned.

September and October cannot get here soon enough.

That is ok, school is very important. I do my apartment updates over there but the 23rd we are moving.
We are both fine, just waiting to move and get it over with.
That is easy, so far just listing where we are going. I am so excited to got here.

The Europe trip is being done "Enchanted". Not here. It is not really Disney related except for one day at DLP. Come by and read. The more the merrier.

Trying to catch up on reports after a whirlwind week!

I am looking forward to all you have to say and show on this report. I'll probably check in on the Europe trip, too, although I have limited myself not to get involved in any other forums anywhere else. After real life stuff, I come to the DIS to enjoy Disney fun, but I already spend more time than I need to. I allow myself only so many reports to get involved in, and until one is finished, I don't start on another. Otherwise, I would spend countless hours on the computer, because there is so much to read. So, I hope you aren't upset that I haven't checked on Enchanted, but everyone just has to set some limits and follow what works for them.

I can't believe there are people who go around taking pictures of light fixtures and trash cans and other such common, uninteresting things.

The Europe trip is only what we are doing right now. I am listing all the attractions we are going to see.

I have 87 reports I am reading now.

No problem, Enchanted is actually taking off with 372 members. I am hoping it grows. But if you do want to read the Europe trip it is over there will not be here at all. Not very Disney related except the one day at DLP.

There are two very good reasons for this, the first being it is Disney. I do love it.

The second and probably the most important reason is the people I will see. Last year I went and had an absolute blast. I had 4 days there and 3 of those days I just toured the resorts. It was definitely a different trip and at first I was a little lonely and sad I was there alone but then the 2nd day came and I woke up and I was so excited to be there.

Then the 3rd day came and the first Ip-Dip happened and what a blast it was. The people I met were so nice and so much fun that it just felt right to be there.

So it only felt right that I go back this year if there was one. So the thread was made to see who would be interested.

Buzz and Linnie were going to be there so they were in. I was in. A few others showed interest (they have all backed out due to work or money). I then heard some of the Fockers might be meeting that weekend and I hope they do I would love to meet some of them.

Now Mrsk and Bill were not going to go. They had plans for later in the month and the beginning of November. I used my jedi ways and they switched there trip to go. I knew they wouldn't be able to resist the great people that will be there.

So that is why I am going, the people. This trip will be different as I will be doing parks but you have to stay tuned for my details.

i totally understand you going! i would find any excuse possible to go back. if it weren't for ray and i trying to start a family this year (and no, i'm not pregnant - we're not going to start trying until i get back from NYC because i want to get my drink on while i'm there - haha!), i would be trying to think of something myself! :rotfl: but thus, i have to wait until december 2010. i'm okay with that right now but i'm sure this time next year i will be having some serious disney withdrawals. hopefully i'll be very pregnant and distracted.

I think the move in 2 weeks and the September trip to Europe should be distraction enough, but my mind keeps wondering.
I had a blast seeing resorts mostly. I did go to Epcot for 1 day last year but the rest was exploring parks. This time though it will be parks every day.

I am thinking I am going to drive down. Leave Thursday the 8th and see if Rob and Kymmie (Happy Birthday Kymmie) want me to pick them up and then get to Disney in the morning.

Now, if I drive by myself I will most likely stop in Georgia at a hotel and then get up early and be at Disney early. I am in no rush to get there early, that is the night of the Halloween party so I do not plan on any parks that day but I would not mind going to DTD and doing the balloon.

Now I just looked at flights

Jetblue = $384.20

Round-Trip:
2166 Miles
77.36 Gallons Used
$164.64 Fuel Cost

$220.00 less than flying. That is a lot of Lapu's and Grey Goose Slushy's I could have.

So this is my dilemma and it will not resolved anytime soon unless airfare goes down drastically.

Stay tuned. I will update once I know for sure but driving down does sound the better way to go.

You know the old saying "Time is money". Don't forget to calculate the time into the equation. Flying may be more expensive but it saves you time. Plus your time is worth money. You could be working, or running errands, or better yet spending an extra day on your vacation being on vacation and not in transport.

Not that I don't like driving. I do. It's just that I live farther away than you and generally travel with three kids. It cuts down on the enjoyment factor exponentially.

I am thinking I am going to drive down. Leave Thursday the 8th and see if Rob and Kymmie (Happy Birthday Kymmie) want me to pick them up and then get to Disney in the morning.

Now, if I drive by myself I will most likely stop in Georgia at a hotel and then get up early and be at Disney early. I am in no rush to get there early, that is the night of the Halloween party so I do not plan on any parks that day but I would not mind going to DTD and doing the balloon.

Now I just looked at flights

Glad you came by. I am going to try to ge tover there but I am doing MK for the party so I might not on this trip. But I will try.

My first day there will be Friday and that night is MNSSHP so of course I have to go.

Saturday will be Epcot. (The reason for this is there is a marathon on Sunday and it ends at the F&W Festival so I will skip that park that day).

Sunday will Animal Kingdom.

Monday will be DHS. This park there is only a few things I like so I will go quickly through it all.

we have one already and a pull out couch in the den once it arrives.

It went very well. They came early and by 4pm everything was in the new place.
We had ordered 2 desks and 2 bookcases from Staples, well at 3pm the driver called to inform us he was out on Eastern Long Island. I ran down and the super said 5pm the door closes and no deliveries. The driver was very upset that Staples did not put down 11am drop off like they told us and he races here. We did not think he would make it, at one point he called and said he was stuck in traffic. He was there by 4:20, We were shocked, so was the doorman as he called upstairs to tell me he was there. Now one of the pieces looks like it has been chewed by a rat but Biff got a new one today.

Friday night we went to his sisters place for dinner. I might have drank almost a bottle of wine. :rolleyes1 and she made the best soup.

Saturday was spent all day unpacking and sleeping.

Sunday we went to his nephews in NJ to help paint. It was nice to see them.

Monday he called in sick and we unpacked some more and then we went to have drinks with his sister and her friend. It was very nice.

Now we are still trying to unpack one more room and then organize everything. The amount of space is amazing. I love it.

So a few days ago (if you read this on Enchanted sorry for the second posting of it) I booked a qs package at CBR in a pirate room.

I figure counter service will be good then I can be in the parks longer. 'Ohana for dinner I will do OOP.

Also that Saturday I will be doing the F&W festival so I will stuff myself there. :thumbsup2

So those are the plans.

Transportation is still up in the air but it looks like I might fly if gas prices keep going up.

Scott - 40 year old guy who loves Disney. I have a partner who on here is known as Biff. He has been to Disney twice now. He likes it. He thought he would not but anytime anyone asks he always recommends it.

This was a fun thing to decide. First I was going to stay at POP. Now I stayed at POP last October and I really wasn't feeling it all too much. I found it to be loud with all the kids running around and the food court was not that great either, although I did enjoy the cheesesteak wrap and the frozen cokes.

Now on "Enchanted" we have a thread going about the upcoming trip and I said I would like to stay at POR. I love Riverside. Here is why...

So I am heading back to my favorite resort and am so excited. The next 6 months will go so slow but 4 weeks before this trip I have a trip to London, Paris and Disneyland Paris planned.

September and October cannot get here soon enough.

Eeyore has been sitting on my desk at school, but he has now come home with me for the summer. I am changing classrooms, and I was afraid if maintenance started moving my stuff sometime and I wasn't there, he'd get lost or broken. He's sitting quite happily looking at a picture of Jill and Brooklynn at the Polynesian right now.

Your hopefuls for DHS look great -- all the big rides. We found that when we booked it to TSM at rope drop, there was absolutely no stand-by line -- everyone was lining up to do Fast Passes.

Hi all,
I am asking OhMari to close this. I just do not have the time to post here with this, on Enchanted with the other pre tr and then over there too for the Europe trip. I am too busy trying to add info to the site over there and that has to come first.

I didn't have many here anyway following along. If you wish to follow along your mor ethan welcome to come over.

The tr will be there too but you don;t need to be registered to read that when it happens, the tr's are open to all. You just cannot post.

I will also be updating a little live from Europe when I go.

The dates have changed once again for October.

There are now 2 more people in my room with me.
