Dining Plan for Afternoon Tea?

I was wondering if you could use the Dining Plan for Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian Garden View Lounge? If so, what would it be designated? Snack? Table Service? Counter service? I will be traveling in September with the Deluxe dining plan.

Nope, sorry. Not on the plan.

That said, I've heard nothing but good things, so it may be a nice option for an OOP meal (or heavy snack).

I'm pretty sure my son and dil used deluxe dining plan there in January. We paid for their vacation and they never said they had to pay for that OOP.

I've never heard of "afternoon tea"..... Is this something you need reservations for?

The Grand Floridian tea does not accept either the regular or deluxe dining plan.

Reservations are not required but are a good idea.

On my last trip my sister treated me to this for my birthday. It was a delightful experience. Relaxing, beautiful surroundings and great service. The many varieties of tea were interesting and we shared so we all got to try different ones. Many choices of platters too. I wanna go again. Hope I have a birthday this year too! :rotfl:

Garden View Tea, aka Afternoon Tea. I call it Afternoon Tea also. The official name just doesn't roll of the tongue as well.
ADRs are highly suggested. The hours are 2 - 6 pm. unless that has changed recently.
They do accept the TiW discount card. But that is the only discount I am aware of them accepting.
