This is all rumor, so take it FWIW.

The new Sanaa at the AKL villas is supposed to open in May, and early word is that it'll have a good bit of Indian influences - tandoori ovens and the like. There are no menus posted anywhere yet, but you can make reservations. Rumor also has it that it's on the dining plan.

Sanaa will have some Indian influences. Here are some pictures of the menu offerings:

Also, there are a few curries at Rose & Crown in the UK pavilion of Epcot World Showcase.

Although the spices are different, I find that the methods of food preparation in African (esp. Ethiopian) food can be very similar to Indian food, and there are a few African restaurants: Jiko (sit-down) and Boma (buffet) at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom.

Of course, there is also Moroccan food in Epcot; again, different spices, but the style of cooking can be very similar.

Tusker House is a buffet in AK that has both Indian and Asian influences. I remember they have Samosas there. We've had homemade ones of these at our friend's house (they are from India) and the ones at Tusker House were pretty darn good. The also had Tandoori (sp?) chicken on the buffet...and maybe a few others as well, but I can't think of them right now.

Actually, if you like Indian/Asian ethnic food, Tusker House's buffet is great. That was our favorite meal on our last trip, and we intend to eat there again next trip. (I here Boma at AKL is very similar, but can't vouch for it personally.)

Whereabouts are the AK Villas???

They are part of the Animal Kingdom Lodge complex. If you're staying at Pop, and don't have your own transportation, then you'll need to take a bus to one of the theme parks during operating hours (AK is closest) and then change buses to the ALK.

We'll be there in a little over a month. I love Indian food, too, but the rest of the fam? Uh, not so much. But they do like Boma. Go figure.

Sanaa's food looks very "Indian-inspired". Elements of Indian food, with interesting twists I haven't seen before. It looks pretty good, but I wouldn't think it's as authentic as a local Indian restaurant. But I don't normally look for authenticity at Disney, it's more about the experience. It's definitely worth trying.
