WE ARE LEAVING ON THE WONDER SUNDAY, JUNE 9TH. THE WEATHER MAPS DO NOT LOOK TOO GOOD. WITH THE WEATHER THAT IS BEING SHOWN NOW, SHOULD I BE WORRIED? ANY PREVIOUS CRUISERS OPINIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

The ship's captain and crew do an excellent job of trying to avoid rainy or rough weather. They'll do what they can to make it as smooth a ride as possible, but there's nothing they can do about rain.

I wouldn't worry too much now, next week is still far enough away that the weather forecast is probably not all that accurate at this point. Enjoy your cruise! :)

I was about to ruin my trip over fretting the weather. We went May 26 and for the entire week before, the Weather Channel was showing tropical disturbances, low pressure areas, etc.. in the Carribean just pelting Cuba, Jamaica, and the Bahamas. After so much build up over Castaway Cay, I knew I'd be really upset if it was cancelled. They kept saying there had been only 12 hurricanes in May in the entire history of tracking them, so I blamed it on myself for bad luck. Anyway, I was driving my family crazy obsessing, but the morning we sailed, the forecasters said it didn't look like it would turn into a hurricane and I was just happy we were able to board in sunshine and have the Sailaway party outside. It got pretty rocky in the evening and very windy and then it stormed heavy in Nassau, but we were still able to get some breaks in between the rain and enjoy the pool that day and still had our deck party outside that night. After that, it was beautiful, calm with glassy waters, so hopefully, you'll get some sunshine even if the weather doesn't look to good. That's a big area and as you sail through it, there has to be sunshine on the other side. After all, it's Disney!:p

tchrmom, Only 2 days to go? You must be so excited!

try www.weather.com and you can type in the name of the port for a 5-10 day forecast (I forget which it is).

There's also a site for Disney in particular but don't know it offhand. Try searching through DIS home page.

Have fun and report back!

Thanks Dave!
Seems like the forcast for KW, Grand Cay. and Cozumel are about the same as here in Tampa!
