Thanks Picabo, Luvamouse & Tina!
LM takes good pictures, I think. He's so happy that you like them.
He enjoyed the Coconut chicken, sorry we didn't take many food pictures. :rolleyes1 One of us might have mentioned it was embarassing to take food pictures. :rotfl2:Ok, ok, it was me. At Flame Tree we were all alone but at Kona it was packed. :rotfl:

Ok is that chicken from Flame Tree just a half a chicken slapped on the plate or does it just look that way? The fact that it really just looks like 1/2 a bird laying there is a bit creepy to me. But aside from the way it LOOKS, was it tastee??? I really want to try the chicken there when we go!

Can you tell that we don't photograph our food often? :rotfl:I rarely eat meat so yes to me it looked a bit creepy too :lmao: but honestly it was good - I'm no bbq expert but it's a very good tasting 'dry' bbq. not red or sloppy or gloppy.
the fruit plate was good also. make sure that you walk down the path by the waterfront to eat, there are nice dining areas there. :goodvibes

Hi Kristel!!! :goodvibes
Loved WDW in spring, we'd never been then! And the crowds weren't too crazy. We used Tour Guide Mike and RideMax, first time for both and found them both extremely helpful. Can't imagine just winging it when you NEED to get things done, and we really wanted DNiece to have a wonderful first trip. :wizard:
It's SNOWING here!!! All things considered, I'd rather be getting a coffee at Kona Island and hopping over to the MK!! :rotfl2:

I've got an ADR at Boma for breakfast. I'm looking forward to it. I'll have to take some pictures for you. Once we upgraded to AKL I knew I had to change our ADR's so that we could eat there. Glad to hear that breakfast is good.
I didn't think I was going to do another trip report but I'm feeling sort of empty since I ended the other one so maybe I'll change my mind. Either way I'll make sure to check in and let you know how we enjoyed Boma.

Joining in. I love trip reports and pics. They are what get me through to the next trip to WDW! We always go to WDW during Flower & Garden Festival but had to change our plans to August (in 2008 and in 2009). My husband and I commented on how "dull" Epcot looked without all the F&GF flowers and topiaries.

That was me (crimsontide), I did not notice that I was on my wife's account. We love BWV- it is our DVC home resort. We have always stayed in the 1BR villas. Typically we request a boardwalk view, 3rd floor or higher. That ensures that we can still sit out on our balcony and watch the action on the boardwalk, as well as the fireworks, without too much of the noise. Goof luck on your trip- have fun!

Our last day w/ DNiece and we had two parks left to go! Could we fit them in and still be laZy?? Hmmmm.......
DNiece and I walked from our beloved Polynesian to the TTC to catch the monorail to Epcot
We were lucky enough to see a track switch/train change, pretty cool
Then we got to ride in front & DNiece got her "license"

We did breakfast at Crystal Palace pooh: with DNiece before she left WDW, and the characters were wonderful!DNiece and I :lovestruc ~ L-O-V-E- ~ Pooh and friends! :eeyore:
And the food as always was excellent, a solid 8
(OMG THE PUFFED FRENCH TOAST is a 10!!) and a 10 for atmosphere! :tigger:
Sadly then it was back to finish packing for DNiece & head to the airport :guilty:
Unfortunately with delays at the airport, this ended up taking the entire day, for us all, pretty much - but DNiece got home safely with lots of treasures in tow and memories to last til next time!
By the time we got back to WDW, we were SO ready for dinner
We headed to the CR to try ~The Wave~ and there was no wait at the bar, in fact there was almost no one in the bar! Lots of people waiting for tables so the bar was perfect and so was our bartender, Brucie. She gave excellent service and we enjoyed drinks and dinner very much :goodvibes
LM and I both rated it as 9 for both food & atmosphere and will def. go back.
After ~The Wave~ LM insisted we go to the MK to watch Wishes - so far we had only watched them from the beach at the Poly. One of the many reasons why I love him so much. :lovestruc
Tomorrow would be OUR last day :sad2: why does time seem to speed up so here? We wait & wait for it, then it's over so quickly.

So sad to see Dniece go. She looked like she had a great time. I bet she still hasn't stopped talking about it.
You know, I'm glad you said something about eating at the bar. I noticed that nobody does this much. When we were shopping at the Rainforest Cafe, I asked one of the sales people if you could eat at the bar. They said sure. I'm thinking that the next trip DH and I take we'll be doing this. I don't want to do the DDP on that trip and I hate making all the ADRs. :thumbsup2

When it's the two of us, we find it relaxing to eat at the bar. Or at a table in the bar area. LM looked at all of the people waiting & said, let's try it. :thumbsup2 Definitely will check out which other places we can do that at WDW, know there's a :surfweb: thread about that somewhere. :goodvibes

~ Aloha! ~
Our last day came all too soon!
We were not flying out until 8pm at night, so we'd planned for LM to sleep in & I was headed to Epcot for the Segway Around the World tour. I walked the walk over to the TTC, enjoying the Polynesian grounds every step of the way.
http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn139/peartreetravel/P3241574.jpg
http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn139/peartreetravel/P3241575.jpg
The last couple of monorail rides are always bittersweet. Soon, we arrived at Epcot & I headed to check in for the tour.
The tour ended up being one of the best experiences I've ever had at Disney.
It starts w/ a short "class" in Innoventions, our instructor was hilarious & the instruction period flew by. Quickly, we selected helmets & were off to training. This was so fun! Only one person in our group had balance issues, the rest of us were very shortly zipping through the obstacle course. As fun as the course inside was, the next part was just amazing!
Now experienced riders, we zipped out through FW and into WS! This was the best part! As a huge Epcot fan, riding a Segway through WS before it was open was a dream come true. If you've read that you feel like a VIP doing this, it's true. If you've read that it makes you feel like an insider, it's true. I can't come up w/ enough adjectives to describe how much fun this experience truly was!! I'm so grateful to have done it & will ABSOLUTELY do it again! I'd love to hear from Dis'ers who've done the tour at Ft. Wilderness.
So....having had the most fun at Disney yet, I headed to France to get some pastries for LM & I to share back at the Polynesian. We had a 1pm check out so we were able to stay & enjoy every last minute possible that day.
After check out we went to DTD for a bit of shopping before heading to the airport. We went to the airport extra early & found all of the nice polite Canadians waiting patiently in queue w/out any attendants at the counter.
Apparently we were all early. :rotfl: After we did get checked in, we headed to Chili's and relaxed over an early dinner then went to the gate.
Bye til next time dear Disney World!

~ Thanks so much for reading our TR!!~
What did we love the most?
The Polynesian resort, Samoa longhouse, watching Wishes from the pool
SEGWAY tour!!
Kona Island was such a super way to start the day
Kona Cafe (breakfast & dinner both were excellent)
The Wave, must do again & will eat at the bar, so fun
Liked:
Akershus (Character breakfast was MUCH better than dinner)
Crystal Palace (Character breakfast, every meal here is wonderful)
1900 Park Fare (Character dinner was fun, probably just a one timer for us)
Until next time, DIS friends, Aloha!!

Hi!
Again, a wonderful ::yes:: trip to WDW that ended all too soon...was in the World May 26 until this morning ....
TR this time will be short & sweet w/ resort :beach: reviews & a report on the day I did all 4 parks :yay:
First Stop - POP!!
Arrival at MCO was smooth & so was my first ME experience. In line for about 1-2 minutes, onto the bus, waited less than 5 minutes & we were on our way. Very friendly, welcoming driver. The cute Disney DVD started a few minutes into our ride & when it was over, I spied Gaylord Palms. We were close! And POP was the first stop!
Online Check in had seemed almost TOO easy - but there were no hitches upon checking in. Sherena from Jamaica welcomed me & gave me a few room choices. Thx to the DIS, I knew the 60's area was wonderfully close to the action & was offered a choice of pool facing or non, I chose non for a quieter experience.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Everything Pop! That place is cool, hip & happening. Checked it out a bit on the way to my room (60's B, #5456). The room was fine, not too much smaller than a moderate room, clean & whimsically Disney decorated.
LM had checked out the weather in depth & advised that storms would be in the area most afternoons. I had arrived at MCO at 1pm, it was now 2pm, so hot footed it to Everything Pop for my mug & then hit the pool.
The pool area was rocking, and everyone seemed to be having a blast.
I got almost an hour of nice sun before sprinkles, then :scared1: torrential downpour! Not to worry, on w/ the Wetskins jacket & off to the MK!
It was a really nice arrival day & evening.
I would give the POP 4 blue Duncan Yo-Yo's out of 5 for so much Disney FUN at a great value!

Enjoyed a fantastic stay at CSR May 28-June 1!! This was a resort that LM had no interest in, but now he says he will try it!! I am nothing if not persuasive! ;)
Upon arrival at CSR, loved the welcome right from the friendly CM at the gate, to Philomena at check in. Philomena is from Haiti and is bilingual and we had a great chat continuing after I was checked in. You can tell the staff love it here.
I can see why - gorgeous & classy, this resort is breathtaking!
SOOOOO happy to have been granted request of CABANAS! Room #8660 in Cabanas 8B, WOW, loved it!!
Room was spacious, elegant and exceeded expectations, just wonderful
View was of the courtyard, however, the lake could be seen by looking to the right
http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn139/peartreetravel/Photo018.jpg
Location was right by the quiet pool and the laundry, I love being by the laundry! I love having clean clothes! :rotfl:
Dig Site pool complex had everything! Amazing pyramid, Huge pool & hot tub, kids pool, kids playground, sand volleyball court, you name it. And Siestas was so cool! So enjoyable to spend an afternoon at the main pool complex.
Seeing Glen at El Centro was neat, almost felt like seeing a star!
By far, my fave part (as those who share my LoVe of LaZinEss can appreciate) was spending a few hours
(Yes, HOURS) lounging in MY hammock

It sounds like you had a great time! I always forget to take the time to just lounge around and do the lazy thing. But then I have a hard time chillin out even at the cottage. I will have to work on that.
Of course you know my feeling about laundry. How fabulous that you were next to it.
CSR does look great. I can't remember if they take five in a room or not. I know Pop doesn't so I don't think I'll ever get the chance to stay there.
Love the pic of Daisy Duck you took!
Let's here about this day of all four parks you had. Doesn't sound the least bit lazy to me.

:goodvibes DisneyMissy, sometimes we get special email offers but this was right off the WDW website, above.
Look near the bottom right where the adorable picture of Dumbo is, right now they are offering 35% off moderate room rates.
Sometimes we get a package - last fall it was free dining, in March it was the buy 4/get 3 free deal. For this trip, I went with room only & it worked well. :thumbsup2
HTH!!

Loooved the family suite at ASMu. It was just the perfect size for the five of us. As the kids are growing it's getting harder to shove us all into one room.
I still need to get my spring is here, break in those feet for sandals pedicure. Maybe this week.

You have some pretty great resort karma yourself Missy! :wizard:
Must be the way we bat our eyes ;) or it's our sheer party: happiness at being there, that's pretty good at attracting a wonderful :welcome: to each resort. The CM's seem to like it when you're SO so happy to be at their resort! And we always ARE, SO so happy to be there!! At least I am :rotfl2:

Hey there!!!
I know I read this the other day. I thought I left a reply. :confused3
I love the pics of Pop and CSR. I had a choice with the bounceback deal for this fall's trip of either CSR or POFQ. I chose POFQ. I really didn't know much about CSR. Now I've seen several TRs from that resort. I'm thinkin it would have been wonderful. Oh well. I do like the PO resorts.
Oh yeah, gotta love that guard duck.

Hurray for bounce back!! :woohoo:
PO is a great resort too but try CSR sometime. We've stayed at a few deluxe resorts & really CSR is a very deluxe moderate!
Glad you liked the duck picture...LM offered a camera tutorial :teacher: but I was too :yay: and did not want to have to worry about possibly :rolleyes1 losing the camera that he loves! So I took my pix w/ my phone, not too bad.

I was looking forward to my last resort for this stay, Beach Club :goodvibes
This is a fantastic resort area

The plan in my  head  was I would pack up at Coronado Springs the night before, get up early, get to the BC BEFORE my 8am Segway tour at Epcot .... well... let's say..... I DID get packed up & loaded the car that morning but just in time to make it for the tour. So my bags stayed in the car awaiting BC check in for a couple hours.
(If you didn't read my last TR, the Segway :moped: Around the World tour is FABULOUS!! Love it!! Love everything about it! Do it! I mean it ::yes:: )
:cutie: So...rolled into the BC around 11am or so, and went to check in.
This resort is GORGEOUS! Beachy perfection!! I love it here!!
At check in I met Viki from Scotland and she was quite nice. No where near as chatty as Philomena, didn't ask about preferences like Sherena did, but Viki got the job done & was pleasant.
I was a happy LaZy LaDy b/c she informed me that I'd be on the 4th floor! Yay! I was hoping for this! :yay:
Unfortunately upon going UP to the 4th floor, my key did not work. A couple of calls down to the front desk from the phones on the 4th floor later, the really nice bell man (George) came up w/ my bags, & let me in. He offered to fix the key thing but I said I'd go down to the front desk again myself.
The room: Great room!
Had a wonderful room (#4680), and the rooms are SOOO much nicer now than they used to be. Very lovely & quite large. And the view was overlooking the promenade :cloud9:
Brief Sidebar: So....I may be LaZy....but I am very clean. I wipe things down (the taps, remote, door handles, etc.) w/ Lysol wipes. As I was doing the phone, I noticed hair on one of the duvet covers. Ick and nasty. So of course I immediately checked the other duvet cover & there was a stain of some sort. Made a mental note of both, finished the Lysol stuff, went to put my water bottle in the fridge & there was hair in the fridge too! HOW do you get HAIR in the fridge? :scared1: I DON'T want to know!
Put in a call to housekeeping, the CM that answered didn't sound very interested, HOWEVER, there was a knock on the door within 5 minutes. Two CM's w/ new duvet covers & the manager too arrived w/ sincere apologies & the CM's changed the bedding, the manager cleaned out the fridge w/ disinfectant then checked the rest of the room. I was impressed at the speed & efficiency.
Now - back to Vacationing! :flower:
As soon as I was done unpacking, changed for the pool and grabbed my book, headed back down to see Viki & had my card re-keyed.
Then - time for Stormalong Bay! I had been anticipating this as much as any water park. Such an amazing pool area!

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn139/peartreetravel/179.jpg
While getting my wristband, asked the CM which spot was nicest & she said she liked the area right where the slide comes out. And it was a wonderful area, I picked a spot in the shade and made myself comfortable for hours! I had Sookie Stackhouse to read & got an excellent lunch at Hurricane Hanna's, and spent hours at Stormaway Bay....soaked in all the BC :boat: magic that I could.
During my stay, also enjoyed a superb chocolate malt (w/ extra malt :thumbsup2 ) at Beaches & Cream, had both breakfast & dinner at Cape May, though not on the same day ;) also visited the Marketplace for snacks & mug refills
Enjoyed the free WiFi in the lobby & from my little balcony while gazing at the lake and the Boardwalk, what a treat.
Even slept w/ my balcony door open to hear all the wonderful sounds of the resort all night! Fantastic stay!! :wizard: My last night, strolled over to watch Illuminations pixiedust: it was a perfect last night! :cloud9:
Beach Club Resort earns 4.5 gorgeous sandcastles out of 5 :thumbsup2

Thanks Kathy, it was WONDERFUL!Kinda like that vacation after the vacation we all need after WDW :rotfl:
I love to ask the what the CM's recommend as they really love WDW & love to talk Disney as much as we do. I have talked to some really nice CM's that will :teacher: take the time to tell you the truth, and not hesitate to say what is worth your while & what can be skipped, what is nice and what is not- from favorite resorts to attractions to entrees. :thumbsup2 It's fun to talk w/ Disney fans that are as fanatical as we are! :rotfl2:
BTW, I know you "do" TGM as we do - do you read the guidebooks too?
Have you gotten Mouse Junkies yet? It's HYSteriCal, am loving it!! :lmao:

Hi Missy,
I think you would like POR or POFQ very much. CBR & CSR get higher marks from us b/c the rooms are bigger (and in the case of CSR, more deluxe) plus the resorts are beach themed which we prefer.
Please follow your instincts, if a resort theme appeals to you, give it a try!
Even if it turns out not to be your favorite, I bet you'll still have a fantastic time, I can't think of a resort that I'd say "NO" to without at least a try!
