Doorway to Dreams Long Island Opening still TBD

I wanted to let everyone know i havent seen an opening date yet for this other than sometime in August. DVC said today they did not have a date yet.

I jsut heard from the Roosevelt field mall and they said there is no specific date, its just late August at this point

I was told they were looking to open in July. An exact date is TBD at this point.

im also secretly hoping to see bay lake models there and maybe theyll have great add on opportunities too!

I have no clue where Talbot's used to be, but I know where DTD will be...upstairs next to Nordstrom's! (is that where Talbot's used to be? ;))

Yes that is where it is. Right near the mall entrance to Nordstoms on the second floor. I was at the mall today and when we were walking by that space I said that I thought it looked like it might be a big enough spot for the DTD storefront.

Do I remember an August 1 date floating around back when the Roosevelt Field location was announced? And so that date is being pushed back? I hope so--I live 5 min away but on Aug 1 we'll be 10 hours away and I'd love to be there for the opening.

August 1st is the originally planned date. However, they are shooting for July sometime.

Yeah, that's not it. It's the old K-B Toy Store. The Doorway To Dreams Sales Center will be on the 2nd floor, next to Nordstrom.

If it were bigger, it would have made perfect sense! On the main level, next to The Disney Store....too bad. I think it will do well, next to Nordstrom and near all of the upscale stores on the 2nd floor. Time will tell.....

Doorway to Dreams in Woodfield (suburban Chicago) is next to Nordstrom. It is doing quite well there. :thumbsup2

Doorway To Dreams is a 6800 (or 6900) square foot Sales Center located in Illinois, right outside of Chicago. It is a sales center for DVC. It has been open for almost 2 years and has proven quite successful!

Disney is opening up their SECOND Doorway To Dreams Sales Center in Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, New York. It is scheduled to open August 1st. I am sure they are planning a Grand Opening bash! I can't wait to get more details! :thumbsup2

Sounds great! Me and DH have been on the fence about purchasing DVC - it's all about the Benjamins :goodvibes I think we'll take a trip over there for the grand opening, see what it's all abou!
