Last week at Vero I was surprised that one day the conference room across from the check-in desk was set up as an estate jewelry sale with signs advertising "as seen on TV". Somehow I don't think you would find this at BW or WV.
What's next, a starving artist sale? Kind of cheapens the DVC experience.

Vero is a little bit of a "different fish". It is so much smaller than BW that you "see" the conference rooms that BW is able to seperate into the Convention Center. Especially in the off-season, you are more likely to encounter groups holding conferences, etc. at the resort. We once had a Mary Kay convention checking in on the day we were leaving.

A conference is one thing, but this was some guy selling used jewelry spread out on a table. I would have been happier to see Mary Kay as this was tacky!

Whenever you see something that's not to your liking, it doesn't hurt to drop a note to DVC and let them know. If enough people mention that they don't want that kind of activity, they may stop booking them.
There was a display similar to that at the Grove Park Inn when we used our points for the CC in 1998...
