Opinions on Bahamas, Cancun, and Caribbean??

I also posted this on the CB but figured I would ask here too.......because.......I know some DVC'ers have traded and gone to other places with their timeshare.

so........my question is......how did you enjoy whereever you went?? I am trying to get general opinions on the destinations in my title to see if people liked them.

I do remember reading about a DVC'er going to St Martin or somewhere recently but when I searched I could not find the thread.

All have great options. Cancun would be my first choice. The Royal resorts are every bit the equal of DVC and better in some ways. Great choices for Aruba and St. Marteen/Martin as well as PR. Air can be a problem.

We are finding air to be a problem and
are limiting our choices to Cancun and Hawaii I think.

Dean......do you like the general atmosphere of Cancun? Do you feel safe there? is the place you stayed in the hotel zone?

thanks !!!!!!!!1:smooth: WE stayed at VCI which is the oldest of the Royals. It's fairly near the mainland, much closer so than the rest of the hotel district. We always felt safe including in the hotel district later in the evening. Took the bus except when going for our anniversary. The food was great as well. We truly enjoyed Cancun, hope to go again in the next few years. Will be in Nuevo Vallarta next year in a 3 BR, 1800 sq ft ocean front unit at Paradise Village, you might want to consider there as well. I hear it had a whirlpool on the balcony for the 3 BR units.
