How do I make my own name designs??

I wanted to see how I can make my own name designs that others create here. Is there a special program I need the can break down the pictures into letters? Thanks!!!

I'm not at home to find the stream that teaches you how to do this but there is a tutorial that someone created and put on the DISboards that is GREAT! If someone has a link to it please post.

You will need Photoshop elements to make a name using the tutorial that I have seen, but it is very simple once you know how!

Here is the link where I learned using Photoshop. Photoshop Elements is basically the same. It's not complete, after you have completed theses steps - save your image as a psd. Then flatten the image, save as a jpg image. The psd image you can make changes to in the future.
