Hi all! :flower1: I’m about to start my dining report!
I’ve been slacking and mostly working on my trip report thus far. So from now on I’ll be working on both.
If you are interested in reading my trip report here is the link.
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2120556
We went to Disney World March 8-14 2009.
I will try to update the page number next to the restaurant as much has I can, so those looking for one particular place can find it easier.
The cast
Me ~ Jen
DH~ Skip
DD~ Claire (who is 4)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/3ofusatCRT.jpg
We did a lot of character meals this trip, so those looking for those kinds of reviews are in for a treat. I must say some days I was better at taking pictures than others. Or I would forget till we had already dived in. LOL!
Here is where we ate
Toledo Airport food counter ~ pg 1,
Pop Century food Court ~ pg's 1,3,4,10,11 and 13
Cinderella’s Royal Table~ pg's 1,2 and 4
1900 Park Fare~ pg's 3 & 4
Backlot Express~pg 5
Hoop Dee Doo Review ~pg 's 5 and 6
Cape May~pg 7
Wonderland Tea Party (for Claire) ~ pg 8
Pizzafari~ pg 10
Yorkshire County Fish Shop~pg 11
Akershus~ pgs 11 and 12
Crystal Palace~ pg 14
Earl of Sandwich~ pg 15
Goofys Candy Store~ pg 15
We were on the dining plan. Unfortunately I didn’t catch all the prices to break it down for you, but I do know we made out and the plan was worth it for us. This was our third trip using the plan and we really enjoy it.
On to the report!

Our first “food” adventure was while waiting in Toledo airport for our flight. Nothing special here, but I thought I’d mention it.
Claire and I went up to get something while Skip took a nap. LOL!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/airport.jpg
We had an 11:40 flight out. So we had been up fairly early and were going to miss lunch time. I picked out a cinnamon roll. For some reason, I always love to get these at airports. LOL! :lovestruc Now this was nothing fancy and tasted just OK, but it did the trick for me. Claire picked out a chocolate muffin that looked really good. She then gave it to DH. LOL! :confused3 She never even tried it. DH said it was good too. Claire end up eating a “healthy” (NOT) bag of chips we had packed along. :rolleyes1
Fast Forward to the afternoon……
We arrived at Pop Century hungry. Claire was ready for a swim immediately, so I got her in and DH went up to the food court and got some nuggets and fries. (I didn’t get a picture) :headache:
He said they were good, your average nugget and fries.
I was hungry too, but I decided a hot fudge sundae sounded way better than real food! LOL!!! :woohoo:
I again didn’t get a picture of this. The ice-cream was melting fast, and I was too hungry to go find my camera. I must say it was REALLY good though. :yay:
Claire popped out of the pool to take a bite and went right back in. Just as I was finishing my last scrape the bottom of the bowl bite, she came out again for more. I told her that I could get her on or a cone. She chose a cone.
I got her rainbow sherbert. She loves rainbow. It was melting fast too, and I had to lick it to keep it from dripping, so I know this was tasty as well!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/mmmmsherbert.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/wannaalick.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/icecream.jpg
After the swim we headed to MK. One of the first things DH did was get some popcorn. I told him that the small bucket would be on the plan, but he wanted the big one!
Claire kind of became the “owner” of the popcorn real fast. She did eat it off and on through out the evening.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/popcorn.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/waitingforspectro.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/waitingforparade.jpg
The popcorn was your basic popcorn, but it always one of DH’s favorite things to get.
Next dining adventure…Cinderella’s Royal Table dinner

I was super excited about eating in the castle at CRT. :dance3: As you all know this is a really hard place to get into, and it books up fast, MONTHS ahead of time. We didn’t book our trip till Jan 26th. I had called that day and there was no opening. :sad2:
This day was also not scheduled to be an Extra Magical Hour day. Originally it was scheduled for HS. But with the princess half marathon going on, they switched it up and had the party for the competitors and their families at HS and made MK have the EMH’s…which I was very happy about. :thumbsup2
On a whim, on Feb 21 I called to see since the hours were extended ,if they would have any openings….and they DID! 9:35 PM was the only time, but since I knew we would be at the park late, it was a perfect time for us. Since I had already made all our ADR’s for the dining plan, we paid out of pocket for this one.
Something about eating in the castle was just so exciting for me. I have heard mixed reviews about it, but I wanted to at least have the experience once in my life, and for Claire to as well. pixiedust:
So….we walked over to the Castle after Splash Mountain. :rainbow:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/bluegreencastle.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/bluecastle.jpg
We went to the check in desk and had no problems getting checked in, but the people in front of seemed to be having problems…not sure what that was about? :confused3
We then walked INTO the castle. How exciting! :tinker:
I made Claire stand next to this knight. LOL! :flower1:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/claireandtheknight.jpg
We then got in line to “meet” Cinderella in her Royal Castle. While waiting I started randomly shooting pictures of the area.

We finally make it up to Cinderella. The line wasn’t too long though.
Cinderella took Claire’s hand and walked her to the chair.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/meetingcinderella.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/handinhandwithCindy.jpg
I had my camera set on manual and for some reason shot some REALLY crappy pictures before I realized my settings were bad. I don’t like to use flash that much, but since it was dark in there I ended up doing some with it. Thank goodness the photographer got some great shots…..which are on my photopass CD, and I will post once it comes.
I also realized after seeing the pictures later on, that I never took her jean jacket off. LOL! :rolleyes1
Cinderella signed Claire’s book and they talked. We were last in line, so she kind of took a little time with her.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/Cindysigning.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/newfriends.jpg
After that we sat down and waited to be called upstairs.
Cinderella must’ve been waiting for another family because she didn’t leave and she got up and kind of roamed.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/cinderellawaiting.jpg
Another family came in and she went to talk to the little girl and get pictures taken.
After that she roamed again…and then a wonderful thing happened. She came and sat next to Claire and talked to her for AT LEAST 5 minutes. Claire was in heaven :cloud9: and just talking away with her. It was like they were best friends. It was very special.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/yesCinderella.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/ohmygosh.jpg
Then another family came in and Cinderella had to go greet them. Look at the little smirk on Claire’s face. LOL! :goodvibes

Now for dinner at…..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/crt.jpg
We got seated. Claire checked out her menu, which you could color on as well.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/clairesmenu.jpg
Our waiter came out and introduced himself (I think it was Gustuvo?). He was funny and he opened up his coat to reveal a bunch of toy swords. He gave one to DH and I could see Claire eyeing quickly. Then he acknowledged my birthday and gave me a magic wand. Again Claire was eyeing. LOL! He then gave Claire a magic wand and she was happy.
Here is the menu, a crappy picture again.:sad2:

I ordered the corn and crab chowder for my appetizer, and the Roast Prime Rib of Beef with grilled asparagus, roasted fingerling potatoes and a cabernet sauce.
Claire ordered the chicken noodle soup for her appetizer and the hotdog with green beans.
Skip ordered the BLT salad for his appetizer and Pork Chop with bacon and Mushroom Ragout, and Yukon Gold Smashed Potatoes finished with a sweet Chipolte glaze.
Skip and Claire got chocolate milk to drink (I think) and I got a diet coke (no ice). We also made our dessert selections then and Skip and I both ordered the Chocolate Cream Cheese Buckle - a single layer of chocolate cake stuffed with cream cheese topped with Cremé Chantilly and finished with Cremé Anglaise Sauce. Claire ordered the Royal Sundae.
We also got some rolls that were great. Claire loves bread, so she chowed down on these right away.
If you’ve been following along, Claire’s diet was pretty much CRAP this day. LOL! So I wanted to be sure she got something in her tummy that wasn’t pure crap. Now a hotdog isn’t the best meal, but this was really her first meal of any sorts that might have some nutritional value for the day. LOL!
After ordering our waiter came back with the appetizers. He told us that he told the Fairy Godmother that I was celebrating my birthday and she would acknowledge me. LOL! :goodvibes He also brought back a birthday card signed by Belle, Snow White and Cinderella. (I assume the other 2 princesses are there in the daytime.)
He said that he put in an order for a cake for me too. He said this several times, but he never did bring it. I think he forgot towards the end, but that was OK, because there was no way we would have ever been able to eat it, and to lug it around would’ve been a pain too. (even though it is just a small thing)
Claire’s soup had carrots and celery in it, so I had to pick all that out for her. She won’t eat it if one of those accidentally slip in her mouth.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/chickennoodlesoup.jpg
My chowder was awesome. I wish I knew how to make this. It was really tasty. DH had wrinkled his nose at it, thinking it sounded gross, but it was so good!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/cornandcrabchowder.jpg
Skip’s BLT salad actually didn’t come out with ours. It took longer to get, and then we laughed when he did get it. It was like half a head of lettuce..uncut… with all the BLT ingredients around it. He did say it was really good though, But he grumbled about cutting up his own lettuce. LOL!
It’s a really bad picture…sorry!

About the same time the appetizers came out, the fairy godmother, Susie and Perla came out to do the show. (I don’t know which mouse is which. LOL) :confused3
Claire was pretty much turned around in her seat watching.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/watchingthemice.jpg
They sang and flew around the room. The 2 mice stopped by for a picture, but they were so fast I could barely get my camera up and they were gone. :)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/mouse2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/mouse1.jpg
Fairy Godmother was moving even faster, so it was really hard to get a picture of her, and she never stopped at the table. She just kept singing and running around. She did acknowledge my birthday and pointed at me. I think Claire was a little jealous of that, because she gave me an evil eye!. :snooty:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/fairygodmother.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/castleshow.jpg
Claire basically picked at her soup. She was too interested in the show. She did eat a little though. When the show got over, she kept asking when they would be out again. I told her I don’t think they will, because I think it was the last one of the night. She said maybe if she ate, they would come out again…AH, sure, if that gets you to eat. :rolleyes1
Then her hot dog came out and she said she wasn’t hungry. I told her if she didn’t eat it, there would be no more rides, so she ate it, but not the green beans.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/hotdogatCRT.jpg
Skip’s Pork chop
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/porkchop.jpg
Skip ate every last bite and said it was good. It’s hard to tell how much he likes stuff because he doesn’t do much commenting unless he really doesn’t like it. He also finished off Claire’s green beans. LOL
My Prime rib
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/primeribatCRT.jpg
The prime rib was good. I’m sure I had better, but it was still very good. The asparagus was good, but crunchy. That seems to be the norm at most restaurants with steamed veggies. They are always a little too crispy for me. I’ll eat it and enjoy them, but I do prefer my steamed veggies steamed a little longer so they are a bit softer. The potatoes were just OK. Kind of dry. Not gross or bad, but not my favorite either.

03-31-2009, 11:39 AM
Finally the best part came. DESSERT! :yay: :worship:
I have to say it was just wonderful. :lovestruc
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/chocolatebuckle.jpg
Claire’s sundae came with a chocolate crown on it. She basically dipped the crown in the ice-cream and then licked it off the crown. When she had enough of the ice-cream, she ate the crown. She was a bit chocolaty after that. Thanks goodness I brought along wipes. I think she did then eat some of the ice-cream with her spoon, but only about half, and Skip finished it off. LOL!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/royalsundae.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/eatingthesundae.jpg[/COLOR]
Skip and I had the Chocolate Buckle. It was heavenly. :cloud9: I remember stating that I could eat this every day for every meal and DH said he could too, so he must’ve liked it! :worship: LOL! I totally recommend this to anyone and everyone.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/heavenlychoclatebuckle.jpg
All in all we were happy with the food, and loved the experience. I would some day like to do lunch or breakfast, but now that I’ve had my chance in the castle, I’ve settled down some. LOL!

During the dinner they brought out our picture of Claire with Cinderella. It was very cute.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/cinderella.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/cinderellascastle.jpg
Sadly, :scared: sometime during that evening I must’ve had something leak in my bag and the bottomed corner of the folder got wet and crinkled up. The pictures were fine, but it made me mad that I somehow did this. :sad2:
I also took various pictures of the inside of the restaurant. None came out all that great. I wish I had brought my SLR to the dinner!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/castleceiling.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/castlewindows.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/castlewalls.jpg
We didn’t have a window seat, but the place was clearing out, so I walked over to the window and took this picture of the view. How pretty is that? :lovestruc
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/viewoutthewindow.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/windowview.jpg
These pictures don’t even come close to doing it justice. It was beautiful! :cloud9:
As we were leaving, I tried to take a shot of Claire and Skip (who were in the lobby) from the spiral steps. Didn’t come out all that great either. LOL!:sad2:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/stairshot.jpg
When we walked outside, I had to take pictures of where we just were. ;) LOL! Those lighted windows are where we just ate! :)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/CRTlightedwindows.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/lightedwindows.jpg
And then I had to take a few of the mosaics in the walkway through the castle. :cutie:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/horsemosaic.jpg

I forgot to add this to the dinner review.
The trip was to be sort of celebrating my 40th birthday (which was in Feb). I was wearing the birthday pin for most of the trip (DH thought it was dumb, because my b-day was in Feb, not March. LOL) and when I made my ADR’s I always stated we were celebraiting my b-day.
So at CRT they gave me a card signed by Cinderella, Snow White and Belle, and also a small card signed by Susie, Perla and the Fairy Godmother.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/cardfromFGandmice.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/CRTbirthdaycard.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/crtbdaycard.jpg
Also when you arrive at CRT they put her dinner ticket/receipt In this cute little folder.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/CRTroyalinvitation.jpg
And I can never find a kids menu for dinner on any of the sites, so I copied ours for those who would like to know what the current offerings are.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/CRTkidsmenu.jpg
Also I didn’t talk prices.
My hot fudge sundae was $4.25..used a snack credit.
Ice cream cone.. $2.87...used a snack credit..
Chicken nuggets.. $7.69 plus tax
Bottled water..I think was $2.50 plus tax.
I don’t think DH got a dessert. He had such a hard time “getting” the plan, even though this is our third year using it. He thinks if he wasn’t hungry for a dessert, then don’t get it, but I told him he could’ve gotten something to snack on later.
Used 1 CS credit
Popcorn bucket..again I have no clue, but was paid out of pocket
We also bought a few drinks at MK… Out of pocket.
And with out the CRT bill in front of me, I believe that was $137 and some change..out of pocket.

I'm in! Love the reviews so far. We've(DDs and I) have been to CRT, but only for breakfast. Your daughter is so adorable! My DD8 likes chicken noodle soup but hates the carrots so I know what that's like. Glad to hear that Cinderella spent a little chat-time with your DD - that is priceless! Everything seemed so rushed when we went. I was drooling over that Chocolate buckle, and your comment about "having it everyday" just made it more inviting!

I guess I'm like your hubby...not sure of the ins & outs of the DP. I didn't know that if I don't want desert, I can use that credit somewhere else? I thought I read somewhere, that anything over $4 couldn't be used as a snack? I was hoping to use my snack, for my oatmeal for breakfast!! How did you find all the secrets to using the plan? I've read and re-read, still, not sure of ALL of it!:confused3 BTW, LOVING your review!! We're just 4 months out...so I'm soaking up ALL the info I can!!

Snacks can be tricky. Basically anything under $4 pre tax is on the plan, but there are exceptions. I usually just asked if I was in doubt. They also have little DP signs up sometimes next to the item on the menu or on the shelf.

Day 2
Monday March9
I usually get up early at WDW, while Skip and Claire need there sleep.
I was still sort of full from the dinner the night before, so I went and filled my refillable mug and did some walking and picture taking.
Around 11 I went to the food court and ordered the Chicken Penne Alfredo, Tie dye cheese cake and a bottle of lemonade (which I tucked away and took to the park) Of course I forgot to take a picture of this!
This is Penne Pasta and a breaded chicken breast with Alfredo sauce, and a breadstick side. MMMMM! :lovestruc
I planned on sharing it with Claire. At 11:30 I woke Claire up and she dove into the food with me. It was yummy. I think this is one of my favorite dishes at Pop. And it’s a lot too. :cutie:
Claire was really ready for the Cheese cake though. I sure wish I took a picture, because it is so pretty. :flower3: Our teeth were blue after eating it though and DH was laughing at us. Especially at Claire, with blue teeth and lips.
The only bad thing about their tie dye cheesecake is that they put it on a “crust” of red velvet cake. Why they do this, I have no clue? :confused3 But that part is gross ,so we always throw that part away. :rolleyes1
The meal was 1 CS credit ($15.83)
Claire and I got ready for her BBB appointment and DH went up and got a bowl of fruit.
It looked good, and was probably your basic bowl of fruit.
I believe this was $2.99 plus tax…1 Snack credit

We had 4:40 ADR’s for 1900 Park Fair. We were at MK that day, so we took the boat over. We had just missed one, so we had to wait. Claire was a little antsy while waiting. :rotfl: It had been a long day, since we did BBB and lots of photos.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/GFfromboatdock.jpg
The boat finally came and she relaxed a bit more and enjoyed the ride over. We then kind of dragged our heels as we made our way towards 1900 Park Fare. We had time, so we were in no hurry.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/GrandFloridian.jpg
We walked in the back and DH decided to go potty, so Claire took a seat and I tried to get a picture of her. Not much luck of getting a nice one. She was fidgety and kept putting her wand in her face. princess:

We checked in about 4:20ish
We had a little while yet, so we went and parked our stroller and saw this really cute topiary. Of course the sun wouldn’t allow me to take a nice picture. :sad1:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/marypoppinstopiary.jpg
We went out front and had a seat for a few minutes.

We saw all these neat old cars/buggies so I took some pictures of them.

And the ashtrays were so cool. LOL! I went to take a picture of one, and Claire saw it and thought it was just sand and smashed her hands it. (ICK) :sad2: So I took one of this one, which wasn’t as perfect or clean as the other.

So after the ashtray incident :sad2: , Claire and I went in to wash up, and DH lagged behind. It was just after 4:30 now. I had told DH to come right in because they opened at 4:30 and most likely we would be seated early. I went in to check and sure enough they were ready to seat us and DH wasn’t in site. GRRR! :headache: One of the things that irritate me is when he goes off on his own and wanders. :rolleyes1 So I beeped him on the Nextel and told him to get his butt in there because we couldn’t be seated till he got there. And yes, I was in one of those “no reason to be” panicking states. :scared: LOL! I just have way too much adrenaline running through me when I am at Disney.
We got seated and got our drink orders and were told where the characters would be coming out at, and the “flow” they would go in. Skip ordered Pink Lemonade, I got diet Coke, (no ice) and Claire got Chocolate milk (I think).
I also forgot to mention that I had ordered a white chocolate glass slipper. We were supposed to remind them we had it ordered when we checked in, but they were on top of things and mentioned it before I could even say anything. I kind of ordered it as a special b-day treat for me (since this was supposed to be celebrating my 40th) but I had them write Princess Claire on it since it was her BBB day.
We reminded our server about the slipper too when we sat down. Our server was just OK. Not super attentive.
She did bring out a special placemat for me with signatures of several characters on it. Claire was jealous, once she realized it was there, half way or so, through the meal and I then put it over at her spot for her to use. LOL! ;)
Since the characters hadn’t come out yet, I ran up and got some food for Claire and I.
I was dyeing to try the strawberry soup. I had heard of it over the past year, but didn’t even know it existed last year. I also love the tomato and mozzarella salad they have there.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/strawberrysoup.jpg
I thought the soup was good. It tasted like a smoothie. And I loved the tomato/mozzarella salad. I even got seconds of that.
Skip got some sort of salad for starters.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/1900salad.jpg
Claire anxiously watched the door for the characters to come out. Food wasn’t on her mind too much, but she did eat a little bit. Mostly a roll! LOL! And some watermelon and pizza. Claire liked the pizza, but honestly it’s not that good. The watermelon was OK. I grew up on a farm raising watermelons, so I am picky. This definitely wasn’t “in season”.
Here is a half of pizza Claire was working on and her mutilating a roll. LOL!

Prince Charming came out first, and then a little later Cinderella came out. Prince Charming went to greet her. And they swirled a bit and then went back to meeting people.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/cindyandherprince.jpg
Skip swore this was the same Cinderella from the night before at the castle. I wasn’t too sure. They looked similar, but I didn’t think so.
Finally it was Claire’s turn to meet Mr. Handsome. I really didn’t think he was that handsome. The one last year was much better looking. :rolleyes1 LOL! The one last year also was more friendly and interacted with Claire more. But Claire was very happy with this guy. Claire has a thing for Prince Charming. :cloud9:
LOL!

Skip doesn’t care if he sees the characters at all, so he just kept trucking back up to the buffet over and over and over. LOL! He got some kind of rice with seafood in it that he really liked and he liked the cream of asparagus soup. I was having a hard time going up to get food for fear of missing our photo ops, so I kept sending DH to get food for me. LOL! :cool2:
DH said the prime rib cutter must’ve thought he was a pig because he went up a couple of times for me and himself. LOL! I told him to get me mash potatoes, prime rib and broccoli, and he comes back with corn. Corn doesn’t even LOOK like broccoli. LOL! Oh well I did go get some broccoli too, later on.

Cinderella was supposed to come to our table next, but Lady Tramaine stepped out of the flow and came over to our table.
I know she isn’t supposed to be “nice” but I was very unimpressed with this one. She wasn’t friendly at all.

Cinderella came over then. Her and Claire had quite the conversation. I heard her ask Claire how she liked the castle dinner. Wait!..:confused::confused: Is this the same one from last night like Skip said? I asked her and she said yes. But the more I think about it, I think they have to say that to keep the illusion up. And she might’ve known that Claire was at the Castle because Claire had the wand from the castle on the table. Who knows for sure. But when I compare pictures, I really don’t think it is the same one.
Cinderella also forgot to sign Claire’s book, but I didn’t worry too much on that since we had gotten her signature the night before already.

Anastasia was the next one to our table. I was laughing because she kept doing this cheesy smile and it is the same one that Claire does a lot! :rotfl:
I think she was the same one we saw last year. She was pretty funny. Both stepsisters were. They would screech across the restaurant at each other. If any dish fell or rattled they would yell for Cinderella to go and clean it up.

And the last character was Drizella. She was fun. Claire laughed with her and told her that her dad wanted to dance with her. LOL! She was so happy that she had a new Prince. :cloud9:

As we were doing our final shots with Drizella the music started playing and she invited Claire out to dance with her. :dance3: Claire followed and on the way Drizella invited more children. See the lady in the green…Well this lady must have bionic powers. LOL! :rolleyes1 I followed Claire up hoping to get some shots of her, and this lady was all of a sudden in front of me from out of no where. I swear it! :) And then it was next to impossible to get a shot of Claire. And this ladies one DD was very tall (at least I think it was hers), so when I tried to get Claire from another angle the tall girl was in the way! LOL! I just shot a few, but basically all you can see are pieces of Claire.

Now is when I kind of got annoyed with our server. :sad2: So far she had brought drink refills when needed, but she didn’t check on us much and she didn’t do the bussing, it was some other guy that did that. We also needed more silverware, because Claire kept dropping it, and she seemed to disappear when we needed it. :rolleyes1
While Claire was out dancing is when she brought the chocolate slipper, and she set it in my spot. I wanted to this to be special and here we come back to the table with it just sitting there. So no “presentation” for Claire. There was also a happy birthday crown next to it. But this crown was even small for Claire’s head. LOL!
So like I said I was ticked off a bit because our surprise got muted, and Claire didn’t even realize it was at the table till I showed it to her.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/chocolateslipper.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/chocolateslipper1.jpg
This thing was awesome. I am a big white chocolate fan and it was ooh so good! :cutie: I snatched one raspberry off it, which I love as well and told Claire to try one. She ate the others in seconds. LOL! ;) I guess she likes red raspberries too.
DH and I made pigs of ourselves breaking apart that pretty shoe and eating every last bite. Yes we even scraped off the raspberry sauce. LOL!
The side thing was chocolate with chocolate mousse in it. Very good. And the slipper has some kind of white crème in it, but it wasn’t whip cream. Also very good. We were breaking that beautiful shoe apart and even holding up to our mouths and biting it. LOL! Claire didn’t really want any of it, which was good, because I was fighting DH for it.
So now I decided I can’t miss out on the desserts at the bar either. They had mini cheesecakes and mousse, AND rice crispie treats. So I went back up and got a plateful. LOL! Claire snatched my rice crispie right away and I had to go get another. LOL!

In the mean time our waitress was still MIA. So I went up to the buffet and snatched a few shots while we waited for our bill.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/1900buffet4.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/1900buffet5.jpg
FINALLY the waitress brought the bill after we were completely done, and just sitting there with an empty table. I handed her our KTTW card and Skip and Claire decided to go outside to wait for me, while I waited for the return of the card.
The bill total, including the slipper was $100.08. The Slipper was $14 plus tax that we paid out of pocket for, which made our amount the plan covered to $85.17.
For those wondering, the plan costs us just under $90 a day. I don’t know the exact amount, but it’s less than $40 a person and $10 a day for Claire. So this meal alone about covers the payment for the day. Not all our meals cost THAT much, but most were close to it. So the plan is a benefit to us. :)
Later that evening, around 9:30ish, I decided I wanted something more to eat! Claire and I headed up to the food court at Pop. :dance3:
I ended up getting a kids turkey sandwich, with apple juice, and two sides of apple sauce, figuring Claire could eat one at another point and time. Claire picked out a bowl of grapes for a snack.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/popturkeysandwich.jpg
The sandwich was pretty good. :yay: The grapes always seem excellent at WDW. :cool2:
I already started losing track of how many kids CS’s I had used, if any. They don’t separate them on the receipts like they do for TS, so we just kind of went and got what we wanted, since I had no clue. LOL! :confused3
I have it written down as $5.32 for the sandwich meal and $3.62 for the grapes.
We used one CS credit and one snack credit.
And that was the end of day 2 for us!

Thanks so much for the great reviews! :thumbsup2
The pictures were great too! It really gives me a sense of what goes on.
I am going with my family in late June and my DD is 6. She has been once before when she was 2 so she does not remember much. She is now into princesses and so this year I have scheduled three meals with the princesses.
I first just had 1900 Park Fare for dinner and the one in Norway for lunch one day. We are not really breakfast people, so I thought it would be better to have lunch and dinner.
Just this morning, I called and was able to add CRT (both lunch and dinner times were available for my week). :worship:I couldn't believe it. So, I booked both and now have to decide between the two.:surfweb:
My dinner is set for 5:30 and lunch is 11:30 so now I have to decide which date and time is better. I just can't make up my mind. I have not scheduled BBB so if I can get a time either date that might make up my mind.
I wasn't worried about the characters not coming around to the tables at CRT dinner since we will have the other two events earlier in the week. What do you think? :confused3 From your review, your DD seemed a bit disappointed that Cindy did not come to the table at dinner.

I don't beleive Cinderrella comes to tables at all at CRT. And no, DD wasn't disappointed, because she had alot of time with her in the lobby. But she was a liitle mad about FG not coming over, b ut I knew she wouldn't, or it was rare if she did. But she loved it. If I could go back to CRT, I would try for lunch or breakfast so we could mingle with the princesses, but dinner is fun too. It was my last choice of the 3, but I am very happy to have gone, and we enjoyed it alot.
If I were you, I would go for the lunch, and try for a dinner on another trip. Or do both! LOL!

also, your comment below at Park Fare
"...so Claire took a seat and I tried to get a picture of her. Not much luck of getting a nice one. She was fidgety and kept putting her wand in her face"
I have to disagree! The one where she is looking off to the side with the wand on her face is so precious, it is a real nice candid one. :)
I am so happy to see pics and a review of the 1900 Park Fare, we are going down 8/23, and I plan on booking dinner there one night. We went there in 2005 when they had Cindy, FGM, Prince and Susie and Perla and the girls had a great time. We enjoyed the food as well, but I was a little nervous about having the 'mean sisters and stepmom', however I have read that they are actually funny, so we will do this one.
CRT was good for dinner, but we enjoyed breakfast more, all the princesses were there, even Snow White who you hardly see! :thumbsup2

I used 2 cameras. One is a Rebel XTi which I just recently broke so I have decide if I want to upgrade or pay $250 to get it fixed! Makes me sick to think about it.

Sorry to hear about your brother. My DH's real name actually isn't Skip. But he started walking at 8 months and it looked like Skipping, so thats what they started calling him and it stuck. Not too many people call him by his real name. It was weird when we got maried because I actually married Dean and not Skip. LOL! He said it sounded funny with me saying that name. It felt weird too. :confused3

Thank you...and everyone else...
I love the photopass. I am never in many pictures, so it's a good way for me to hop in a few. Plus they have some neat shots that I can't do. I did a share this year. I was the leader. It came to just over $20 a person, so it became much more affordable that way. I love pictures, so I have a hard time saying no to any with my family in them. LOL!
I'll try to write some tomorrow. But we have a birthday party in the afternoon, and I have to get a gift in the AM for it, so it might not be till late till I get anything up.
Plus I need to work on my trip report too.:rolleyes1

Yes I pre bought it. I also did a share. I usually order my prints online, and have never had a probelm with it. Some people have said some reatilers will question it, but you do get a release form. Yes I can print them myself as well, but my printer eats up so much ink when I do and it's not high quality either.

Day 3
Tuesday, March 10
Tuesday morning I decided to get some breakfast before we headed out anywhere and share it with Claire. She was still sleeping when I went to get it, but woke up shortly after I came back…much too early!
I got the pancakes and sausage. This really comes with bacon, but Claire isn’t a super big bacon fan, and I’ll only eat it if it is really, really crispy, which this was not. So I asked for sausage instead and they gave me two patties to replace it. Good deal! :thumbsup2
I also got an apple juice box to take along to the parks and a V8 juice.
The meal was $9.88. I used 1 CS credit.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/pancakebreakfast.jpg
After Skip got up, he went and got a Western Omelet. I never saw it, so no pictures.
I asked him what he got for drinks, and he said he just filled his mug with coffee! UGH! :sad2: I told him he was allowed 2 drinks with breakfast, and he said, why? He didn’t need them with his mug. LOL! I told him he could’ve just got them and then we would have extra to bring along to the parks.
This is our third trip using the plan and he still doesn’t “get it”. IDIOT! LOL!
He said the girl at the cash register kept telling him he could get a drink, and he told her no.
According to Allears the omelet was $6.69 plus tax. One (wasted, LOL) CS credit.
We went to Hollywood Stuidos on this day.
DH and I split up for a bit so he could ride Rock N Rollercoaster and Claire and I went to see characters.
He said after RNRC he got a Mickey bar.
Those are $2.75 plus tax. Used one snack credit.
After we met back up, I handed off Claire to him and I went to RNRC. I too got a Mickey bar after I was done, and while waiting for them.
$2.75 plus tax. 1 snack credit.

OOOHHHH! This is an awesome review.:worship: And so helpful for me becasue I am planning a lot of character meals. hope my DD9 and my DS11 aren't to old to enjoy them; but it is their first trip and I wanted them to get a good experience. Your daughter looks like she is so comfortable talking to all the characters. How fun for her. This is our first time on the DDP - I so don't want to be like your husband :confused3- How do I learn all the in's and outs? Is there a remedial course somewhere? I can't wait for the rest of your review!:cheer2:

After the block party, Claire HAD to have a hotdog. So we asked where we could find one and were directed to the Backlot Express.
Skip and Claire sat down at a table and I went and ordered. It seemed to take forever and there was hardly anyone there.
I ordered a hotdog, fries, a cheesecake and a sprite for her.
The hotdog was huge (all beef) and she ate most of it. I think DH ended up finishing it up. :rolleyes1
She really liked the fries and we kept stealing them and would get yelled at. LOL! :headache:
She ate about half of the cheesecake and I, of course, helped finish it up. It was good.
The meal came to $13.39. We used 1 CS credit.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/hotdoglunch.jpg
Dinner was at Hoop Dee Doo Review at 7:15. :charac2:
We make our way up to the front of HS after we hit a few more things and we lost Skip. I thought he stopped for a smoke, but I was wrong. Claire and I stopped in a shop to buy her something, and I assumed Skip was just going to meet by it.
I was oh so wrong. LOL! :confused3
Now for some background before I go on….
While we were at Disney we were getting torrential rains at home. Our farm can flood somewhat and our basement floods easily too if it’s not watched. So Skip was in constant contact with his brother about the rains. His brother panics about everything. It’s super annoying. It’s like he wants Skip to drop everything and come back home every time we go away.
So Skip was slightly stressed with all this rain at home and his brother updating him constantly about what is flooding, etc. Also one of the guys who said he would be checking our basement for us, just disappeared, and wouldn’t answer his phone. My dad was checking it also, but if it started flooding, he would still need to get Skip’s brother to hook up the extra pump to pump the water outside.
Another thing was DH’s hip was hurting him bad. He gets this on and off, and they think it’s a pinched nerve. So he was going slow because of that. He was mad at me constantly for walking too fast. But any other day of the year, he is always walking SUPER fast. I even tease him that he must’ve grown up in an Arabic country because I have to walk so many paces behind him. LOL!
So back to the report….
When we found him he was mad as heck at me. He said he wanted to stop and take a break, and I just kept zooming on ahead. I told him that I thought he was smoking, but there was no reasoning with him and that started his moody pouting bit.
We exited the park and found that Fort Wildernesses bus was way down the line at the end. UGH! So I push Claire along and DH hobbles along behind us. At that point I was ticked at him then too, so I just left him in the dust and went to the bus. He arrived several minutes after us.
The bus stopped at Wilderness Lodge first and then to Fort Wilderness. It was kind of a long ride. Once we got to Fort Wilderness we had to wait for another bus to come and take us back into the campground to Pioneer Hall. It took awhile for the bus to come, and then it was quite the long haul back there. I didn’t think it was explained well which stops were which. Only if you were staying on property would you really know for sure where to get off. We did get it figured out and got off at the right stop and went to check in.

We had to make a quick potty stop for Claire first and then went to the long check in line.
We evidently walked passed a small vendor selling stuff and Claire had a mini melt down. :scared: She wanted some stupid light up Mickey sword. I told her not now, but maybe later or another day. She was being a brat. :rolleyes1 Skip walked up to us and asked what was going on, and I told him and he was disgusted that she wasn’t happy with the toys she just bought. He was super grumpy about the money being spent, which I’m not sure why, since most of it was bought with gift cards or Claire’s spending money.
He walked away, and I was happy, because who wants TWO babies next to them. LOL!
We got checked in finally. I asked where we were to be seated and she told me first floor. OK! I didn’t care actually where we sat, but I wanted to know ahead of time.
I found DH, sitting and pouting, and left Claire with him while I took a little walk.
On my walk around Fort Wilderness (right near Pioneer Hall) I found this armadillo digging. I don’t know a lot about armadillo’s so I wasn’t sure how close I could get. But this guy never looked up at me. He just kept going about his business. I didn’t want to use a flash though and scare him and have him attacking me. LOL!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/armidillo.jpg
I went back to show DH the picture, and found them at the playground. He seemed in better spirits and Claire was too.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/attheslide.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/ontoppfslide.jpg
And this was near the playground
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/FWwagon.jpg
While she was playing, Skip disappeared and came back with the sword. That made on little girl very happy with her daddy. Yes she has him wrapped around her finger.
It was then time to go in. :yay: We got seated in the back on the first floor. No seats are really bad here, so that was no big deal. We started in on the salad and cornbread that is on your table when you arrive.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/saladarHDD.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/cornbread.jpg
They took our drink orders…..beer for DH and me…LOL.
Then a manager comes over and tells us we’ve been seated at the wrong table and we were actually supposed to be upstairs. Now this is no big deal, BUT I know he was lying because I asked prior where our table was and was told first floor. :sad2: I then see him go talk to another family and they said they didn’t mind going upstairs, and he said, “no since you added an extra person, that table upstairs only seats 3, so we have to put you down here.” So basically he needs a 4 table and we were 3 at a 4 table. No big deal to move, but I wish he didn’t lie about it. Just tell us they made a mistake, or one family added a person and needed the table.
Claire is confused by all this moving. LOL! But we do fine and move upstairs and a whole new table is set up for the other family and we get to start in on a whole new fresh bucket of salad and cornbread. LOL! :confused3

First off, I didn’t “review” the salad and corn bread. I love this salad. :lovestruc This year it had a little less dressing on it which was disappointing to me because I am one who needs a lot of dressing. But still VERY good! I just made sure to keep mixing it to get it evenly spread out. The corn bread was good too, but I think it seemed a little dryer this year. Last years was perfect! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but it did seem a little dry. :flower3:
These new seats actually might’ve been better than the original. :dance3: Claire was against the railing and had a clear shot out to the stage. We were also right smack in the center. The down side was she had a wobbly chair, and I envisioned her flying over the side. So we got another chair for her and all was fine. She barely ate anything. She used to love salad. In fact last year she ate almost a whole bucket herself. But this year only picked at the cornbread till the show started.
And then she became engrossed! :3dglasses

I loved the chicken. The ribs were good. Neither are award winning, but still tasty. I love the mash potatoes, but I am a huge mashed potato fan and will any kind. I even love instant. LOL!
I can not stand the cowboy beans YUCK! Last year we had them here and at Whispering Canyon Café, and I thought they were gross then. I did take a small bite this year to see if they were any better, and NOPE they are still extremely nasty. :rolleyes1 DH will eat anything, and he even says they are pretty gross, BUT he did eat some. :rotfl2: I can’t believe that many people would like these enough to keep them on the menu, but evidently some do?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/napkindance.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/HDDR4.jpg
They also noticed my birthday pin :cake: and when they were singing about celebrations, I was one of the lucky ones they sang to. LOL! :ssst: And of course asked my age. :( The character “Claire” chatted a few minutes with my Claire too. It was the same one from last year and they made good friends last year because they have the same name. (Claire was wearing her hat with her name on it last year). But this year was so much busier, so she didn’t have much time to chat. Claire was still happy.
Then it was dessert time. They brought a straw berry short cake to our table, actually two, and on had a candle on it for my b-day. :cake: It was good. Claire even ate some of this. Mostly the whip cream. I loved this last year. I’m not a big strawberry shortcake person, but last year I could’ve just kept eating it till I exploded. This years was good, but NOT as good. Again it was a little dry too. But I enjoyed it and made a pig of myself.

During the show, we noticed that every character had stopped at one of the tables upstairs. They would stand and talk to the people and oooh and aaah over the kids. To me it looked like two light skinned black guys or maybe Mexican and both had white wives. DH noticed this too and he said it’s got to be a celebrity. I just couldn’t figure who it could be and if so, why wouldn’t they pay for better seats up front?
Then Skip became convinced it was Tiger Woods. I couldn’t tell you much about him or what he looks like, but I was pretty sure it wasn’t him. First off, didn’t he run off with the nanny or something like that? This lady wasn’t looking like a young hot nanny. LOL! No offense to anyone, but she was a little chunky and not ugly, but nothing I would call gorgeous…which I ‘thought’ I had heard this “nanny” was. Again, I could be confusing it with some other celebrity. :confused3
I figured that either the girls were sister, or the guys were brothers. I didn’t take a picture though, because they were far enough away and it being pretty dark that it wouldn’t turn out. And I didn’t want to look really stupid either. LOL!
Well….at one point near the end of the show they have audience members partake in the show. And usually they pick a child for one part. Well these two little kids, who I assume are cousins and according to Skip are Tiger Wood’s kids or nephew/niece….LOL…..were chosen to be the ones onstage. I DID get a picture of that.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/celebritykids.jpg
As the show ends they bring out washboards and people go crazy making as much noise as possible along with the music.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/washboardmusic.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/heyyou.jpg
So the shows over. We head out the hall, use the bathroom and go to the buses. They have buses to take you back to the resorts, and we are told the one on the end is for Pop. We are one of the first on and sit down. Slowly it fills up. Then a wheelchair needs to come on, so they move a lot of people to standing and put on the wheelchair. Then it is getting really full. And standing room only.. and ANOTHER wheel chair comes, so they make people get off so they can load it on and smash all these people back on. The bus driver keeps telling everyone to move further back because there is more people to get on. I have NEVER seen a bus this full. DH gave his seat up to lady with a child, Claire was on my lap. I mean ALL kids had to be on a lap, it was that full.
We seemed to be sitting there forever.
SOOOO Finally the bus driver gets on, and you know what.. he announces the order of the stops..THERE ARE FIVE OTHER RESORTS ON THIS BUS BESIDES POP What the heck are these people thinking? No wonder it was so crowded.
I think we were the second stop.
And that is the end of our dining adventure for our third day!

Our dinner show was $136.95..We each used 2 TS credits for it.
Last year we were stage side at the 9:30 show and it was about $160 then (give or take, I can’t remember for sure now) so it was a better value of credits last year, but we enjoyed it just as much this year.
To me this is a good place to use 2 credits.

I love your armadillo pic. We have armadillos in our yard and they are constantly digging all around. It's a good thing you didn't scare it too much as they jump when they are frightened.
Several years ago (when we were stupid and stayed offsite) we were playing Mini-Putt at one of the places in Kissimmeee when an armadillo came onto the course with us. We didn't tell our daughter it was there and when she turned around it scared her to death. The armadillo jumped almost as high as she did! :rotfl:

Day 4
March 11, Wed.
We got ready for our breakfast at Cape May. I had to wash and redo Claire’s hair. It was a disaster when she woke up.
We drove over because the Beach Club is about an 8 minute drive. Taking the bus would’ve taken 40 minutes or longer with transfers. I think we got over there around 10:20ish.
Going through the guarded gate they couldn’t find our name on the list. I swear this always happens to us. But finally they found it listed under my first name. I’m not sure why they would list it that way. I’m sure there are a zillion Jennifer’s out there.
We found the restaurant easily enough and got checked in.

About 5 minutes before our scheduled time, we got buzzed. We went in and were seated.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/seatedatcapemay.jpg
We learn soon that our waitress isn’t too great. She got us each juice, and Claire milk. Told us where the characters would be coming from and kind of disappeared after that. :sad2:
At one point I flagged her down and asked if I could get some milk. She never came back to ask if we wanted more juice, and I need a lot to drink with my meal. LOL! She brought me a small karaft (sp?) of milk and DH and I shared it. As we were finishing up, she came over again and asked if anyone wanted juice. She only had enough juice her karaft to fill 1/3 of a glass. Dh declined, he was ready to head out at that point, but I took it.
So back to the meal.
I ran up quickly to the buffet and got Claire and I some food before Minnie came to our table. Sadly this was the only food picture I took. But it was REALLY good. I haven’t done a lot of breakfasts at the world. Claire needs to sleep in, but this one was very tasty and good selection.

Minnie must’ve needed a potty break then,(or cheesecake break as they call it) because she went out of the room for a few minutes.
I was starting to eat when I felt something on the top of my head. I turned around to find Goofy there. He was kissing my head. Claire thought that was so funny. She was shouting “mom, Goofy is kissing you!”

After Donald we really pigged out. Well I did. Skip had been the whole time, and Claire ate like a bird. :rolleyes1
When I finished up I took Claire to find a potty. When we got back, Skip said the waitress had brought the bill and when she came back to take the card, she told him he needed to check which tip he wanted to leave. He told her no, he was paying cash. She seemed mad about that he said, and wondered if he did anything wrong. I told him no, that’s the way we always do it.
Skip decides to walk out to the lobby while we wait for the card, and he leaves me $5 to tip her. He was NOT impressed with her either. The meal was a little over $50, so 5 was not the appropriate amount. But I understood how frustrating it was to have to tip a sucky server.
She brought the card back, but the receipt with the suggested tip amount was gone. :confused3 So I did some figuring in my head and left a total of $8. She was probably mad about that, but she really did suck. And she was making out with me! If it was DH she wouldn’t have gotten as much. LOL!
We seem to attract to waiters who like to disappear. :upsidedow
So Claire and I finish up gathering our stuff and I get a tap on my shoulder. It was Minnie AGAIN. The restaurant was emptying out fast and she had made the rounds again already. So we took a few more quick shots.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/minniepose.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/hugstocapemayminnie.jpg
We then walked out to the lobby to find Skip. I thought this chair was cool and told Claire to sit on it so I could take her picture. This is how she does it. UGH!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/bigchair.jpg
The meal came to $52.16. Used 1 TS each.
It was very good, but when paying for dining, you don’t get a very good value eating breakfasts. We only did this one because it fit in our plans better. Originally we had Whispering Canyon Café planned for the evening, but with the tea party in the afternoon, I found it better to eat big in the morning so we could go to AK then till close and not worry about making it to an ADR. But this food was really good and I am so glad we did it.
We then headed out to the car and drove back to Pop. We walked Skip to the room, Claire and I grabbed the stroller and our bag and then headed to the bus stop. We were now on our way to one of the most anticipated activities. The Wonderland Tea Party! Claire was super excited about this.

Just saw this review today and had to join in! LOVE the pictures and detail of your reviews - great stuff :thumbsup2 I'm looking forward to reading more!
PS: How on earth do you cope with late sleepers? I set up the Mickey/Stitch wake-up call for our room at 6:30am every day and my boys took turns answering the phone  This trip, I already told dh that we'll be hitting rope drop as often as humanly possible (I haven't told the boys yet, but they don't know about the trip yet, so I can't LOL). My hat is off to you for being way more patient that I am! :worship:

If it was DH sleeping in, I would just go, but Claire needs sleep or she will super cranky and or get sick, so I suffer for that reason. LOL! She would need to go to bed really ealry to get up early enough for openings, and that doesn't usually happen. I just have learned to be a bit patient. Last year I actually did go to AK for opening while they slept and then came back once they woke up.

Off to the Wonderland Tea party. It is held at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian. So we bused to MK and then boated over to GF. I was told to get there about 1, :confused3 but when we got there no one was there to check us in. I noticed another lady and little girl walking in the area too. So we just roamed the lobby a bit till someone came. Of course the camera was out and ready! :cutie:

About 1:15 two CM’s came out and we checked in. The girls that had gathered started to become instant friends. :grouphug: I talked to the CM’s a little bit along with a grandmother of another girl. They seemed really nice and fun. They truly seemed to enjoy their job.
At 1:30 they gathered at the door and it was time to go in.

They got to go in and pick a seat. They also were allowed to bring in their autograph books. Good thing I remembered to pack it!

Back to more tea party pictures!
The CM told them to take their napkin and put it on their lap.

And then they told them to put there hand in the air.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/goodbyemom.jpg
Now wave it and tell your parents goodbye! LOL!
So I kept taking pictures on my way out and Claire said “mom, you need to go”

I don’t know if you all know this or not, but parents CAN”T stay for the party. I was so sad I was missing out on what they would be doing and getting pictures of it. But I knew she would have fun.
So I got her settled in and left. I decided to go upstairs to Mickey’s Mercantile and see if they had the tinkerbell figure to exchange. I walked around and spotted them! YAY! But my bag with broken tink was down in my stroller. So I walked back to get it and as I approached I heard some banging.
When I walked near 1900 PF I see it is Alice and the Mad Hatter banging on the doors to the tea party. Then when the CM would open it they would run to another door and bang on that. They kept doing it and then finally they went in. You could hear the kids all laughing.

I wish they did photopass there. That would be great. It seems like they try to keep a secret. Claire talked alot about it. Mostly how the Mad Hatter had such bad manners. That made an impression on her. LOL! She said he would burp and not say excuse me, and the he threw grapes at people. And she was excited because she got hit by one. Crazy kid.

So after the unexpected sighting of Mad Hatter and Alice I picked up the Tink toy and went back upstairs to return it. It was a smooth exchange with no problems. I browsed a bit and kept myself from buying the cool light up Spinning Mickey toy that Brookelizabeth talked about getting her son. It was super cute, but I didn’t want to get one without Claire there. LOL!
I wandered in and out of some shops and took random pictures.

I then decided I was tired of taking pictures with the bag (holding the tink toy) in my hand, so I went down to the stroller to put it in t here.
AGAIN, I lucked out and got a great surprise! :lovestruc

I asked the guy CM if this normally happens. He didn’t say yes or no, but kind of made it sound like it doesn’t all that time. What he said was “well let me tell you the last time we came out the lobby the Mad Hatter jumped in the bird cage.” LOL! He said he was pretty crazy.

After the parade around the lobby they went outside to the little court yard. The handler stopped me as I was following (the grandma had already gone through) and asked me if I was with this party. I told her well yes, that my DD. She says well we really don’t want you taking pictures. UMMMMM TOOOO BAD!
Don’t tell me she wouldn’t be snapping pictures of her own DD if she was in the same position.:confused3
I turned around and just went out another door and snapped away again. LOL! :rotfl:
The grandma was talking to a manager looking guy from GF and was asking if she was enjoying herself. She went on and on how it was so neat to get these pictures and he said he was so glad that we got to see it. I’m going by what he said. LOL!

After they went in the grandma and I sat and started talking. She said that family had come a few minutes after they had shut the doors and just started banging on the doors. They had an ADR for dinner, but they thought it was for lunch at 1:30. They looked it up and it was for 4:30. I guess these people were really nasty and demanded to be let in, but of course were told a private party was going on and they don’t serve lunch here. :sad2:
I guess they left really mad.
We also just talked a lot about all things Disney! :lovestruc It was a nice chat. She got a call then, so I went and walked a bit.
I saw this sign that I had missed the night we ate here for dinner, so I took a picture of that.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/characterdiningsign.jpg
Skip called me then and asked if we were done yet. It was only 2 and the party wasn’t over till 2:30. I reminded him if that. He said he was already at AK. He grumbled how this was his least favorite park and he was there early and by himself. LOL! :confused3
Oh well, the agreement had been that I would call him as soon as we were heading over there. Not my fault he went early.
I told him to go on some bigger stuff that Claire couldn’t ride till we got there.
I went back and chatted some more. We could hear laughing and all sorts of excitement in the room. I tried to peak through the window. It looked like Alice and the Mad Hatter were gone. It also appeared they were playing hide and seek. The kids were having a blast.
Before long the other parents were returning back to pick up the kids.
The guy CM came out to tell us it was time to get the kids, but he had gotten them to sleep, so walk in quietly.
As we walked in the girls were giggling and shaking from holding in their laughter.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/sleepingatthetable.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/gigglegiggle.jpg
Then they all lift their heads and yell surprise! :scared1: And they have flowers for their parents. It was so sweet.
Look at this baby face. I just love this picture of her. She’s still my baby in this picture.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/surprise.jpg
We then gathered up her stuff. She showed me her picture and her autograph book.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/lookatmyphoto.jpg
This party was worth every penny. $42.60. The joy it brought my DD and the joy it brought me to see her enjoying it. Plus I got some pictures that most normally don’t get.
We were then off to AK
jenseib
04-11-2009, 04:14 PM
We headed out to the bus stop to catch the bus to AK. I asked Claire about the tea party. She was just so excited about it. She said the Mad Hatter had such bad manners. He would burp and not say excuse me. He took a drink and gargled it, and threw grapes around the room at them. He even hit her, which was a highlight, I guess. LOL! :rotfl2:
Alice kept scolding him.
I asked her if she ate anything and she said she tried everything. I couldn’t believe that. We had just had breakfast for one, and I was sure she would be to excited to eat, which is one reason I made sure she ate before we went. I told her I bet she was lying. The grandmothers GDD said “No, she did, she ate a bit of everything, but I didn’t eat a thing”. LOL! :rotfl:
She did play with some of the tea party friends too while we waited to go over to AK. I swear the bus took over 30 minutes to come!

Hoop Dee Doo is fun. I really like it alot. Are you guys doing the regular plan or going deluxe this time around? I know you had talked about possibly going deluxe at one point and time. we have decided against the delux dining because we are doing the delux hotel.
We figure that we will pay out of pocket if we do any extras, meaning snacks/treats.
How does the dining plan work?
Lets say we go out to eat, do we need to say before that we have the dining plan or do we wait till our bill comes?
Can we choose not to use our dining at the end of said dinner and just pay the bill that way if we plan to use an extra one for the hoop dee doo?
Thanks Jen.

I told them we had the plan when I booked the ADR. For CRT they asked and I said yes, but we weren't using it for that one. I think sometimes we told them when we sat down, and sometimes not till we paid. But it really doesn;t matter. When they bring the bill you tell them that you are on the plan and any extas like alcohol is then paid for in cash. They will bring a reciept back with the plan stuff taken off and the cash amount left on it.

Thank you. Have him read my trip report too. (link in my signature) I have alot of pictures there and more stuff that we did.
My DH and I agreed that this year was probably the best with Claire. She seemed to live the magic more. She really beleives the characters are who they are. Not some guy in a costume. And she was big enough to ride some different things and do some different things than past years.
All our trips have been wonderful, but this one just seemed the best. And it's amazing how she remembers stuff. She remembered where our room was last year, and when we first got to Pop and were dragging our suitcases to the room, she was looking around and pointing at stuff and saying "hey mom, look at that, do you rmeember that from last year" "theres the potatoe heads, I saw those last year". So it is a wonderful age to take them.
I also took my older DD right before her 5th. birthday many ytears ago. 9She is almost 17 now. And her eyes were just wide and full of excitement the whole time.

At AK I got a strawberry Daiquiri right before the parade. It was pretty good. I can’t remember the price, but it was a lot. I would say $7-9? Nice drink on a really hot day! I think DH had a beer or 2. Claire had a Capri sun during the parade and then we got her another drink after. I’m thinking lemonade. She really wanted to taste my “slush” as she called it. She even picked it up and had her lips to it once. Luckily I caught her before she drank! :scared1:
After the parade we did some ride and the Lion King show. After the show Claire was starving so we headed over to Pizzafari.
Claire got spaghetti and meatballs, grapes, applesauce and a sprite.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/spaghetti.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/simbaandClaire.jpg
I got the Hot Italian Style Sandwich with or Chips - Turkey, ham, Swiss and Provolone Cheese topped with Caesar salad and pesto marinated tomatoes.
I also got a diet Coke and ordered a chocolate cake. But I never realized till later that night that I never actually received the chocolate cake. Now I’m the IDIOT! I should’ve doubled checked. :headache: UGH! :sad2: I had ordered it thinking I would eat it as a snack later on. :confused3
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/italiansandwich.jpg
I thought the sandwich was really good. Claire enjoyed her spaghetti and ate quite a bit and then DH finished it off. The portion’s were huge. We saved the grapes for later on.
We used 2 CS credits. I didn’t write down the total, but according to Allears the prices were
Sandwich~ $8.79
Spaghetti~ $4.99
Cake~ $3.59
Sprite~$2.19
Diet Coke ~ $2.49
All plus tax.
Later in the evening, Skip was hungry so he went and got some food. Again, no picture. I never even saw it.
He said he got some sort of Asian sandwich, which I think from what he described was the Turkey Ciabatta . And a carrot cake. He also got chips for Claire.
I think he got some juice or lemonade too, but I can’t remember now.
The sandwich was $6.99
The cake was probably $3.59. Not sure on the chips or drink. All prices plus tax.
I think he used 1 CS credit and 1 snack.
And that was the end of Day 4’s Dining Adventure!

Your reviews are wonderful! I am just getting more and more excited about our trip(first ever). When I scheduled my ADR's I ended up with mostly breakfast(they were all that were left)
I had a couple of questions: Do they give all the girls wands and boys swords or was that because of your birthday? I told them when making my ADR's about my sons birthday which is 4 days after we leave the park. My birthday is in June and we are going in July. I never thought that I could celebrate my birthday unless it was closer. I started thinkling after your post that maybe I should have mentioned mine so I could give the stuff to my daughter so she won't feel left out(She is 5 and he is 7).
Is there any rule on how close your birthday is to mention it?
Thanks,
Lori

I beleive everyone gets a sword or wand. Or at least the kids. This was the only time I've been there, but I did see other kids with them too. I think I had read that a long time ago that they each got one.
You can celebrate your b-day anytime of the year you want at Disney! :thumbsup2

Day5
Thursday March12
I got breakfast this morning while waiting for my gang to wake up. I just ate it outside the room at a table.
I got the Adult platter, - scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuit, sausage, and bacon. It was pretty good. Nothing out of this world either.
I also got a milk and a lemonade to take to the parks later.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/adultplatter.jpg
I believe this cost $11.37, used 1 CS credit.
Claire had a granola bar in the room that we brought from home and the grapes from the Pizzafari.
This was our Epcot day.
We did some morning touring and then Claire got hungry. We were in the UK, so we decided on Fish and chips, 2 strips of fish served with chips, at Yorkshire County Fish shop. I really didn’t even know if Claire would like them, but they sounded so good to us. LOL! I ordered 1 order and the only dessert option there is a shortbread cookie thing. I don’t care for them, but Claire did eat one later on.
I didn’t get the price but according to Allears it is
Fish and chips~$7.99
Shortbread~$1.69
Drink~$2.19
All plus tax
1 CS credit
We sat down at a table and immediately Claire had to go potty. I quick snuck a bite in before taking her. It was sooooo good. As we were in the bathroom I realized I didn’t get a picture, and I knew DH would be totally diving into it by the time we got back.
So we stopped off an ordered another one. LOL!
1 more CS credit
We got back to the table and we had a few extra people sitting with us now, so I got totally distracted and didn’t take the picture again!
And it was totally gone by the time I remembered again. This food was really good though. I just wish they had another dessert option other than shortbread. I really don’t like shortbread at all.
Claire only ate a few bites of fish. It wasn’t her thing, but she did pig out on the fries. LOL!
that's nice

After lunch we strolled through World showcase and then went and used our FP’s for Test track. After Test Track it was time to get Claire changed and head over to Norway for our ADR at 4:20.

We got up to the photographer and she was kind of rude. She told me only 2 pictures and did we want a family shot. I said no, but I wish I would’ve said yes, and made her take more. Her pictures weren’t very good either. They came out fuzzy. Oh well, next time I will open my big mouth and have more taken and ask for the fuzzy ones to be retaken.

Since we had the early seating, the Princesses weren’t out yet. Our waiter, who was wonderful, told us they probably wouldn’t be to our table till dessert.

Rolls were brought out right away.

Claire ordered the Hotdog (imagine that. LOL) with corn and also got a lot of the cold cuts from the cold bar. She was very impressed with the cold bar. LOL!
http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/8761/hotdogatakershus.jpg
I tried several things off the cold bar. It was pretty good. DH said you could just make a meal off of that. :rolleyes1
http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/7357/coldbarplate.jpg
http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/7466/salad.jpg
He ordered the Mustard Glazed Grilled Salmon,~ with salad greens, roasted potatoes, and corn tossed in a Zinfandel vinaigrette~ which I asked “Do you like Salmon?” and he said "I don’t know." So our waiter told him if he didn’t like it he could order something else.
When the food came we noticed that our Waiter (I think his name was Axel) was kind of hovering in the area to be sure that Skip liked it, and he did ask a few times too to be sure. :cutie:
http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/4382/salmon.jpg
I got the Traditional Kjottkake ~ Ground beef and pork patty served with garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and Lingonberry sauce~ It was very good. It was like a meatball, but with the taste of kielbasa .
http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5296/traditionaldish.jpg
Claire nibbled at her food, but she really waited to see the princesses. I kept walking around the corner as they came out to see who was there.

They brought out our picture pretty early on. Here it is.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/belle-1.jpg
It was fuzzy and I was a little mad about that, but it wasn’t the horrid.
Dessert came out. It was a threesome of Norway dishes, but I can’t find them on allears, so I’ll tell you what it was to the best of my ability. LOL! :thumbsup2
We had the traditional rice cream with strawberry sauce. The strawberry sauce was good, but the cream had no taste really and the texture just was kid of icky in my mouth. So this wasn’t a hit with any of us. :sad2:
There was some kind of chocolate cake. I think I have read before it is sugarless or there is something different about it. :confused3 It was just OK. The raspberry sauce on it made it better, but the cake was very bland. Not a hit, but better than the rice cream. Claire grabbed the raspberries right away off of it. LOL! :yay:
And then Skool bread (sp?) This was good EXCEPT that it had coconut on top. I hate coconut so I had to scrape the top off. DH didn’t seem impressed with it, so I ate most of it, after I cut the top off. LOL! :flower3:
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/6200/norwaydessert.jpg
Alice was the first one out. So this would be our 3rd meeting with Alice this trip. I don’t think we ever even saw her except for parades the last 2 trips. LOL! princess:
She arrived shortly after dessert was served.
It was the same one from the afternoon too.

That was an awesome report and thanks for all the food picks. I have been worried that there might not be anything that my DS11 would like since he has to order off the adult menu. But I think he is going to fair just fine. I have to agree with you on the desserts though. I didn't see anything there that really excited me. So I plan on filling up on meal and cold bar and skipping dessert here unless this is one of the places I can order the chocolate princess slipper.

I really enjoyed this meal. The food might not be for everyone, but I liked it and loved the experience. I would love to try the breakfast here sometime too now.
Our bill came to $97.95. We used 3 TS credits
After Cinderella, Claire and I grabbed our stuff and walked out to find Skip. I grabbed the stroller and was about to take a drink from the cup I had on the stroller and realized the straw was gone! I don’t know if someone took it or not, but I wasn’t about to drink it now, in case someone messed with it, so I threw the rest away. We also realized later that night that DH’s refillable mug was missing, and we think it was taken while at Akershus too. So be sure to take important things in with you when you leave your stroller. This has never happened to us before, but I guess you never know. And who the heck would want someone’s used straw?
But aside from that, it was a great experience and the little episode could’ve happened anywhere in the park.

yes the rcie cream wasn;t good. It really had no taste and a weird texture in my mouth.
Did you see the post on the budget board? they are no longer allowing any shares that exchange money. So no more photopass shares are allowed as of today, and the current ones will have there threads locked tomoorw. Thats a bummer. I guess I'll have to join another board next year if we go to do one, or look at TGM's or see if they have one on Yahoo.
Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

Just share with friends going at the same time. If you do a PTR you'll find people with counters going at the same time! I don't know why the stroller/fridge is a big deal? I can see why they don't want to advertise the photoshare things because Disney doesn't "allow" that.

LOL!

I went back to show DH the picture, and found them at the playground. He seemed in better spirits and Claire was too.

LOL! :confused3
So DH was mad about spending money, but he is okay with wasting DDP credits HAHA! MEN!

After dinner we wandered Epcot some more and then finally headed back to Pop. After a swim, Claire and I went up to the food court to find a snack. I was thinking Mickey bar, but they were out. They were out of a lot of things really.
So I opted for the hot fudge Sundae again.
We brought it back to the room and Claire and I dove right into it. It was melting fast. I asked for extra cherries ,and Claire gobbled all but one (which I took) up immediately. I then remembered I should take a picture, so here it is. It’s melty and half eaten. LOL! Boy doesn’t that look appetizing. LOL!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/hotfudgeSundae.jpg
Skip was jealous that we didn’t bring him one back, and I told him we would go get him one after we were done. Well I should’ve did it immediately. We went in at 11:05. And it was closed. I guess the sundae counter closes at 11. OOPS!
He was OK though and said he would get one tomorrow.
And that’s the end of our Dining Adventure for Day 5!

OOPS! Forgot to price out the sundae.
It was one snack credit, and I can't remember the price, but I think it was just over $4 with tax.

Friday March 13
Day 6
I got up early this AM. I couldn’t sleep. It was our last full day. How sad.
I went up to the smoking section and got to talking to some people. I told them how Skip’s mug was stolen the day before. The one guy told me he had lost his twice. Once he left it on a table by the pool at night and it was gone in the morning . He told a CM about it and they replaced it for him. The other time he left it somewhere, but was too embarrassed to ask for another one. LOL!
I then decided I would go into the food court and get something to eat and ask about another mug.
This was going on when I got in there. The pictures are a bit blurry, sorry.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/dothetwist.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/twisiting.jpg
I then asked a random CM about getting a replacement cup and explained the situation. She said she would go ask. A guy came out and went and got me one, no questions asked. Ironically he got the same colored one we had before. LOL! So I was happy and thanked him a million times over.
I then ordered some breakfast.
I got the breakfast wrap. It came with breakfast potatoes and I got a lemonade and a apple juice.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/breakfastwrap.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/breakfastwrap1.jpg
It came to $10.52.
I used 1 CS credit.
It was pretty good. Nothing super special, but not icky either. Kind of dry.
I ended up being to full to eat the whole thing though.
I took my tray out by the pool near our room door and sat. I was journaling while I ate and I had a piece of egg fall out of the wrap onto the side of the plate.
Next thing I know I feel a whoosh and a bird had just flown right by me and snatched that piece of egg off my plate! :scared1: Wow. I guess they have sharp eyes and can even see when a stray piece falls to the side.

After Claire woke up, DH and I went up and got her some breakfast, and he got some as well.
I got Claire the kids pancakes and substituted the bacon for sausage, an Applesauce and chocolate milk.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/clairespancakes.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/pancakes.jpg
I didn’t get the price, but here it is according to Allears.
Pancakes~ $4.39
Chocolate Milk~not listed
Used 1 CS credit.
Skip got the breakfast platter, ~ scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuit, sausage, and bacon~
an apple juice and a chocolate milk.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/skipsadultplatter.jpg
I didn’t get his price, but I got almost the same thing the other day and it came to
$11.37, so I assume his was in this range.
Used 1 CS credit
It was good. Pop pancakes are always good, I think. Claire didn’t eat it all, and Skip helped finish it off and we also gave some to our bird friends. I know, shame on us! :scared1:

We went to Magic Kingdom this day.:wizard:
Skip was thirsty early on and got a water and a banana (kind of a waste of Snack credits, but we had a lot left).
He used 2 Snack credits for this.
In the afternoon about 3, Claire decided she was hungry. We were eating at CP at 4:20 so I didn’t want to get her too much to eat. We decided on a pretzel. This guy was huge. I just had to share it with her, :rolleyes1 and it was really good.
We used 1 snack credit, and I’m not sure what the price was.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/viewfromCP.jpg
We saw that we had JUST missed Eeyore, so I knew it would be awhile till he got around. The good thing was that the place was not full at this point.
Pooh was just about 2 tables away and then the “march” started up. Claire joined in the fun.

So Pooh was at our table soon after the March was over. He was a big hit. I have always had a soft spot for Pooh, which I think I have mentioned before. He was my favorite as a kid and the one character I saw when we came when I was little.

I think Skip had gotten food for Claire right away.

And then Piglet arrived.

We set up spinning Minnie so she could view all the action too.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/spinningminnie.jpg
Skip kept telling me to look at the guy at the table across from us. This guy looked like the banjo player at the Hoop Dee Doo review. Exactly like him. So I finally asked if he was “him” and he wasn’t. LOL! They were from Pennsylvania so I doubt he would travel daily for that gig. LOL!
They were a really nice family though and the banjo player look alike offered to take our picture.

Another March started while waiting and I taped a bit of it, but it’s pretty bad. LOL! Mostly me telling Claire to follow Piglet. But she was snubbing him, she wanted to follow Tigger. Then a tall girl got in my way, so I stopped recording.

You can't use the credit somewhere else if you don't want dessert. You can, however, take the dessert with you for later!

Later that evening we went back to Pop to swim and get back up for our departure the next day.
After the swim I decided to go to DTD and use up our CS and snack credits. I planned on going to Earl of Sandwich and getting some sandwiches to put on ice overnight and then eat them on the plane tomorrow morning. And then to Goofy’s to use up the snack credits. And I also wanted to buy something for my niece, so I figured we would stop in at World of Disney.
Claire wanted to come along with me. I wanted to do a quick trip there and back and then get settled down, maybe take a shower and get rested. NOT!
I swear there is no way to get there quick from Pop using the buses. You can get anywhere pretty fast on the buses, EXCEPT Down Town Disney.
I think we got in line for the bus at 8:30 and it we waited at LEAST a half hour for a dang bus to even come. We id talk to a couple of gals in line with us and they had been in line even longer, and said a bus had just left when they were walking out to the bus stop.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/waitingforthebus.jpg
We finally got there and ordered our sandwiches. Claire ate her chips right away. I got brownies for DH and I.
I didn’t write down what we got, so I’ll try to remember it. I know we got three drinks, but can’t remember exactly what they were. I think fruit punch was one. I got DH and I brownies and Claire got a bag of chips, which Claire promptly opened.
I got Claire the kids turkey sandwich. I think I got the Tuna melt and I think I got Skip the full Montagu.
We at them on the plane the next day…well Claire didn’t eat hers, I ate that later on the next day…LOL… And they were really good. Even after sitting on ice all night.
Here is Skips sandwich.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/EOS.jpg
Skip’s plan was to go get a hot fudge sundae at the Pop food court while we were gone and then he was to beep me and tell me how many snack credits we had left. He beeped me while in EOS and told us we still had 3 left.
Good deal!
He used 1 snack credit for his Sundae.
We made our way towards WOD store. The bag with the food was getting heavy fast. I wish I had brought my canvas bag along…but it was still in the dryer drying.
I never saw the total for the sandwich either. But we used the last 3 remaining CS credits.
We stopped off for a picture.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/pintradingmickey.jpg
Then on to World of Disney!
jenseib
05-15-2009, 09:00 AM
After World of Disney we worked our way over to Goofy’s. DTD was packed. I was so irritated all these people were getting in MY way. LOL!
I swear I must’ve gone into Goofy’s while mostly idiots were working! UGH. I looked at the candy “menu” and decided I want to make 3 sets of 3 pretzel rods to use up the credits. The girl said they only had on paper left to fill out and she would look for more. Well she just disappeared forever, and then came back and looked and left again and said her manager had to go look for the main one to make copies. Now this is DISNEY….shouldn’t they have a bunch of these made? I told her that could I just get 3 sets of the same and right what I want on one paper. She acted like I was crazy for wanting 3 sets and that doing 3 on the same paper was going to mess up the system. But she allowed it. Then a guy came out and he was going to get them started while she did some more wandering around doing nothing.
He was even SLOWER! Also he told me I couldn’t have white chocolate drizzled over my toppings because I already had white chocolate as the base and it wouldn’t make a difference in taste. Well to me it would’ve, but at this point I just wanted them to hurry up and get them done, so I didn’t argue. So we waited while this guy worked in slow motion.
After awhile the girl came to help him, but it didn’t go any faster.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/Goofyscandycompany.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/bigricecrispyonwall.jpg
Finally they got them done. This guy just had no clue. They are supposed to seal the bag with a sticker, but he folds the bag and puts the sticker next to it, so it doesn’t hold it shut in any way shape or form. He tells me to be careful with them, but I just wanted to leave and they did get smashed and stuck to the bag a bit…but what’s a little paper in the digestive system. LOL!
I don’t know the price of the pretzel rods, but we used the 3 remaining snack credits here. They are soooooo good. I am craving them right now!
We took the rods and sandwiches back to the room and sampled a bit of pretzel and then off to sleep.
That was our final day at Disney and the end of our Dining Adventure with Character(s)…Boo Hoo!
The next morning we had an early flight home (ate the sandwiches on the plane) and back home to regular boring food! LOL!

What a fantastic food review!! We are going in a few week and are eating at Donald's Safari breakfast, Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys as far as character meals go. Thank you for taking the time to do your report!!
Claire is adorable! Her costumes were fantastic!! Did you dress up your older children also, when they went?
Thanks again!!:goodvibes

Thanks for reading!
No my older two didn't dress up. I don't know if that was the "big" thing to do then or not. I don't remember seeinbg kids dressed up then. Of course no internet access back then to have that knowledge.
In 2007 when we went I didn't dress Claire up either. She didn't have costumes then, and I really didn't know alot about it as well then. She was small then too. (only 2) In 2008 I brought 2 dresses, and she loved it. I also bought 2 dresses on the trip, and we became obsessed then. LOL! She rarely wore normal clothes that whole trip. She didn't want to.
Now we have so many costumes, she could wear one a day for a week or two. LOL!
But I have noticed a few are getting very short on her now. But she won't part with them yet.
