I read this price on another board and I wondered if such prices could really be had for the 7 night western cruise in September. I've never seen anything even remotely close. One poster worked it out to something like $39 per day per person or $250 or so for the cruise, plus taxes and fees. In addition to the $499 price there was a $75 credit. (I think that poster said it was a category 11) I thought my price was pretty good, but are all of you finding deals like this? If so, I need to keep digging.

The only thing I have seen the (starting at) $499 rate published by Disney for is 4 night cruises in September, I will keep my fingers crossed that this person who posted the great rate really did fall upon a valid GREAT rate!

Yep, that's the one. Interesting to see how the price varies according to seasons and categories.

Yes, I read that on CC brd too and works it out to $39pp a day!
A 7 day cruise for $499 minus port and $75 rebate. How lucky could two N.H. people get? We booked 2 yrs advance and can't come close to that price! Must be a once in lifetime email deal!! She seems sincere, says it's a BD gift for her Mom.
Who knows...hopefully it's not a fool born every minute deal ;)

That almost sounds like the Florida Resident rate. As FL Res we got a cat 9 cabin for 2 ad and 1 child for 1700 and I seem to remember a cat 11 being 15something... Either way, this person got an excellent deal...

Sometimes those do jump up quickly and without notice. Post 9/11, I booked a January cruise on the Magic for 4 for $2200. I kept checking DCL website and one day the price dropped to $1800. I called my TA immediately, and she checked and gave us the discount. Apparently, it was an unadvertized discount for about 2 weeks! Imagine my surprise when I found out that we qualified for the $99 three day cruise coupon! Talk about doing the Happy Dance:bounce: ! This has been an incredibly financially taxing year for us, so we are enjoying these extravagant pamperings!
