I see you only have 68 more days!!!! WOOHOO! Are you ready for your trip?

Yes, Yes I am (to quote Phineas from Phineas & Ferb).

We will be meeting my brother's family and my best friend & her family there. Now that our kids are in school, this has become a yearly summer tradition. We all own DVC and at the same resort, so this is how we spend our summer vacations. I am not able to make it back to MA this summer, but at least I can see some of the family & friends.

I got up and called Disney 1st thing this morning to find out park hours for my trip and they only have water park hours available. I asked the CM if she had any idea when they would post and of course, she had no idea. 11 more days and I have no schedule!!!!!!!!!!!! I really want to plan ADR's around EMH and need those hours.....starting to get a little anxious here......hope you guys understand!!!;)

No - I don't understand - What are "ADR's" and "EMH" ...? :rotfl2:

... and they're still not there yet ... :headache:

Hi Everyone!
Still waiting on those EMH's...they are killing me!!:rolleyes1

On other notes, just thought I would share with you guys, Lucas finished preschool last week for the year and will do another year 3 days a week come September, Ethan will be done on 6/18 and is heading towards 1st grade, so we're gearing up for Summer here. My "Baby" Cole, will be 2 later this month. I can't believe it and do not know where time goes. We're planning just a family party on his actual birthday (6/27) and the weekend before we're taking him (and his brothers, of course!) to "Day out with Thomas" locally at Edaville Railroad. I'm really looking forward to it and think Cole will have SO much fun. We watch Thomas daily (yes, even though it's not Disney...lol!!) and he loves to dance to the music, so we'll have a lot of fun there. Hope you don't mind me sharing some of the pics in a couple of weeks!

We are also getting ready for a vacation with Todd's family on the NJ Shore, Sea Isle City, for those familiar with that area. We'll go the niight of Cole's birthday and stay in NY overnight (about 4 hours from home) and then the next morning we'll head to the shore (another 3-4 hours). We'll be staying at a house on the beach/little board walk with my inlaws, my two brother in laws, sister in laws and my 2 nephews who are 5 & 3. We did it last year and it was fun with all the kids.....we have all been having the boys every year so they are now 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6....so we pray it doesn't rain or we'll all go crazy!!!

That's all new on this end really...hope you're all well!!! And hope to have some plans posted someday soon...hint, hint Disney!!;)

It does seem like they've been slower at getting the hours up, which is not so good :sad2:, but it also looks like they've been adding hours and shows as time goes on, so that's good! :thumbsup2

That is a very good thing!!

They're up?!! Why are they wrong?!!! Going to check now....

They took them down. People were freaking out I guess.

I read one person changed her entire itinerary:headache:

Patiently waiting......still :rolleyes1

Oh my! That is awful!!!!!!!

I really want to plan ADR's around EMH and need those hours.....starting to get a little anxious here......hope you guys understand!!!;)

No, no idea what you are talking about. None. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: ;)

Thanks for the ideas Brook....still got my thinking cap on....if I start too early, it may end up torturous for my family....so we'll see. They don't quite understand why I need the hours to plan for us...heehee!!:rotfl: I need to get one of those Disney Trivia day to day calendars....hmm...maybe a trip to the book store may be in order!!

I don't think Joe quite gets the planning thing either, until he told me the other night he secretly priced out a trip and the rooms were just too expensive, so he ditched that plan. I came back with a code from MouseSavers that I found in about 14 seconds, along with other tips, etc. I *think* he's starting to understand...

I like your idea about a book store trip for the calendar! :thumbsup2

We did it last year and it was fun with all the kids.....we have all been having the boys every year so they are now 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6....so we pray it doesn't rain or we'll all go crazy!!!

Oooooh wow. That's going to be BUSY! But so fun!

Henry would love Thomas-he really likes trains in typical little boy fashion. ;) He puts his arm up and says "Ch" when he sees his Thomas toothpaste. What station is it on? That truly sounds like a perfect "party" for a 2 year old!!

I can't believe Henry is 21 months now. Ugh. I know exactly how you feel!!!!

Okay....here we go...trying to work this out....thoughts? ideas? they are always welcome!!!!:thumbsup2

9/14 arrival day (I still think we should go to MK for a bit this day, just because, we're in Disney World!!), we'll have lunch at POP (Everything Pop) because most likely we'll be getting there about noontime, so we'll have lunch, check in, maybe (hopefully!) get settled.....and then we thought we'd go to DTD for a bit, which is usually how I start since we have the boys and we don't want to waste a ticket for just a few hours, but since it's just us adults and we could just meander..I think it would be fun to go to MK, not sure I can convince Mom though. She's convinced we'll be too tired......not so sure about Dinner this night, either? Somewhere on the monorail, I'm thinking the Wave at the Contemporary, so at least we can see MK!! LOL!!

9/15 Epcot 8-9 a.m. EMH, park closes at 9 p.m.
lunch at Tangerine Cafe- 1 CS
dinner --- okay, here is the deal, was thinking Ohana's so we can see the fireworks at MK (MNSSHP is going on) at 9:30, so have a late dinner and watch from Poly, OR stay in the park and have dinner at (I hope!) Le Celliar...thoughts?

9/16 MK closes at 8 p.m.
Lunch (Terrace Noodle) 1 CS
was thinking dinner at Ohana but if we did that the night before, were is good at MK? This is the only real day we'll be here.

9/17 Epcot 9 p.m. close
Lunch at Sunshine Season- 1CS
Dinner at Teppan Edo or Le Celliar..if we don't do Le Celliar our 2nd night (see above)...

9/18 all parks open at 9 a.m. (our last day!):sad2:
We are planning on going to DHS this morning, most likely ME will pick us up at POP at 3 or about then. So we'll have a nice good long time there. Not sure if we should have a sit down lunch/ counter lunch....thoughts?

This is pretty rough, so would love any input....yay, I can plan!!!:dance3:

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!! :goodvibes

Hi Kristen!! Yay your hours finally got posted, that is awesome! Your plans look great so far. I like the idea of doing Ohana 9/15 and Le Cellier on 9/17. I heard if you try to book Le Cellier later in your stay your chances of getting it are higher. That worked for our trip! A sit down lunch at DHS on your last day could be a nice way to end the trip...we ate at Mama Melrose last trip and loved it, could work for you girls since this is a kid-free trip! Just some ideas, have fun planning!

I'm off to Disney tomorrow, woo hoo! Talk to you when we're back :goodvibes

I think Wave is a great idea or what about Kona?

Another thing you can try, is to time a boat ride right over to the MK or the ticket and transportation so you can see the fireworks from the water. :thumbsup2
/16 MK closes at 8 p.m.
Lunch (Terrace Noodle) 1 CS
was thinking dinner at Ohana but if we did that the night before, were is good at MK? This is the only real day we'll be here. You could do the Plaza or Tony's. Marc & I really liked Tony's.

The hours for AK aren't posted yet - :confused3 - but I'll bet there's evening EMH there ... so maybe head over to AK with a dinner break at the AKL at Boma!! ?? (and don't you love how this green font clashes with your pink ... ? :rotfl2:)

Make ADRs for both and then see what you feel like doing that night ...

9/16 MK closes at 8 p.m.
Lunch (Terrace Noodle) 1 CS
was thinking dinner at Ohana but if we did that the night before, were is good at MK? This is the only real day we'll be here.

Again - make double ressies and play it by ear ... or have lunch at one of the Monorail resorts and then dinner at a CS in the MK ...

9/17 Epcot 9 p.m. close
Lunch at Sunshine Season- 1CS
Dinner at Teppan Edo or Le Celliar..if we don't do Le Celliar our 2nd night (see above)...

Tappan Edo ... popcorn::

CS lunch places at DHS are just "OK" ... again, make a ressie and play it by ear ...

Now - normally - I wouldn't recommend making double-ADRs ... but since there's only 2 of you and it'll be during the wekk ... go for it ... :upsidedow (but also play nice and cancel the one you're not going to use once you decide you're not going to use it ... :thumbsup2 )

Hi Kristen...I am absolutely spent from a very long week but, I was just lurking on your PTR and while there were many things I wanted to comment...just too tired, until.......I got to the Ohana part, during MK fireworks...oh yes, yes, yes...you should definately try for that. We lucked out in 07 with a late dinner there and were very pleasantly surprized when the Wishes music started playing during dinner...and we could see Wishes right outside the window. It was one of the best memories of our whole trip.
LeCellier was good too but, hard to get. Looking forward to posting more soon...time for bed.

Since your mom is iffy about going to a park, Downtown Disney sounds like a good way to ease into the Disney magic. Eat somewhere close to Magic Kingdom - The Wave, 'Ohana, or Kona maybe? - and then watch Wishes on the beautiful Polynesian beach. Your mom might choose to go on back to Pop if she's really tired.

That frees up your second night for staying longer in Epcot without using time moving from place to place.

That also frees your third night from transportation time, and you could eat in Magic Kingdom and see Spectro and Wishes. Were you looking for table service or counter service for that night? We love Crystal Palace.

If you went ahead and did Le Cellier on night two, then you get to do Teppan Edo on this night, right?

For your last day - as early as you can manage for Hollywood Studios if you plan to ride Toy Story Midway Mania. Since your time is limited there, I'd say go for counter service, although they don't have the greatest counter service options. You'd still be able to eat something somewhere and get in all the rides and shows you can before you get back to Pop. Table service will take a chunk of your shortened day.

Okay, that's all my random thoughts. You may like them, love them, or hate them, but it's always good to get other people's ideas and see what works best for your own situation. Since you only have three full days and two parts of days, I'd just try to maximize time by limiting travel, and it looks like you can get in everything you want to do quite easily.

Hope that makes sense and/or helps!

I don't have time to write everyone individually tonight but wanted to thank everyone for their input, there are A LOT of great ideas you guys posted, I really appreciate it!!!:goodvibes I need to make a spreadsheet of everyone's ideas and fill it and go from there....at least I have the week to do so and go from there....I think MeMom is on to something, less travel and the more we're in one place we can take advantage of more. Makes sense.....it's such a SHORT trip that we need to plan accordingly. There are some discrepancies of what the CM told me and what is on Disney's website as far as hours go and there still isn't any hours for DHS posted online. Weird....maybe I"ll give a call tomorrow just in case and go from there. Thanks again!!

I hope everyone is well and that everyone had a great weekend. We had a VERY FUN and FILLED one....yard work, Ethan's baseball game, graduation party last night late, birthday party today, took Ethan's training wheels off and he learned how to finally ride his bike without them...it was packed!! But a great weekend!!!!:thumbsup2 I hope everyone has a great week and I'll post soon with some plans once I get things figured out!!!

Sounds like you had a busy weekend! Congrats to Ethan for learning to ride his bike without his trainers!! Does he like baseball? Both my boys play on competitive teams, so once March hits we are pretty much at a ballpark every weekend through July. It's exhausting sometimes, but can be so much fun too!

Figuring out The Plan is always the most difficult thing to do, isn't it?

I think MeMom is good onto something-and she's got just a few trips under her belt to be an ultimate planner. ;) I think your Mom would LOVE watching Wishes from the Poly beach. It's beautiful and relaxing, and you can SIT. That is a huge bonus if ya'll are feeling a bit tired.

I hope you are able to get all the ADRs you want! LeCellier is so yummy-it's such a nice treat!

In one way I think a TS would be great for the last day-relaxing before the plane ride; and on the other hand, I think CS at DHS so you can get more in that day. We did highly enjoy the Studio Catering Company (overlooks the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground) CS. They have a baked chicken meal that is VERY tasty. I would go there again!

I sent Mom and Jodi an email to figure out our plan of attack...here it is....

Monday 9/14
arrival day-- 7 am flight arrive MCO 10:23 a.m, arrive at POP approx. noontime?
Lunch at "Everything POP" (CS)
check in, getting unpack, set up, and go off exploring.....I have two thoughts here...

1) DTD-- lots of shops to preview our souveniers and have dinner there OR
2) MK for a bit....I know we will be tired, but excited too, just to get in the mood (it's open unitl 9 p.m) and have dinner at The Wave at the Contemporary on the earlier side so we can get home and relax a bit

Mom wrote back and said she thinks going to MK for a bit was a good idea! I figure even if we don't get there until 2 or so, hang out for 2-3 hours, then head over to The Contemporary to have an earlier dinner at The Wave, it would be nice. I know Jodi will do whatever, so looks like we may be going to MK our 1st night afterall! YAY!!!:woohoo:

9/15
Epcot (EMH 8-9 a.m, park open until 9 p.m)
Tangerine Cafe - lunch (CS)
two thoughts here:
1) take monorail from Epcot to a late dinner at O'hana's (at Poly resort) and stay for the firework show at MK (9:30pm) watch from Poly beach--heard GREAT things about this firework show!! (TS)
2) Le Celliar in Epcot (TS)

Mom thinks going to the Poly for a late dinner would be nice and to see the fireworks,so the question here is..what time do I plan dinne- 8ish? To be done and get to the beach on time?:confused3

9/16
MK (9- 8 p.m) - I would love to see Opening ceremonies at MK this a.m.-- should be there by 8:30....no issue if you guys want to meet me there, just never saw it and would love to :)

lunch at Terrace Noodles (CS)
dinner at Crystal Palace or Tony's Town Square (TS)

Mom isn't a big fan of going to either of these...anyone have any other suggestions? She really like "different" kinds of food...where could we go? Anyone have any ideas??:confused3 ANd I was thinking a sit down 1/2 way through the day may be a good idea, too, so maybe some place on the monorail? Since it's going to be SUPER hot, maybe that's an option and then go back to MK??

9/17
Epcot (9-9 p.m)
Sunshine Season (CS)
Teppan Edo (TS)

9/18
DHS (9 a.m opening)
check out of POP, have them hold our luggage
get to DHS on the early side so we can see/do what we want (and get FP for Toy Story Mania ride!)

Still trying to decide on a sit down or counter service this day, maybe I'll make a ressie for a sit down and cancel if we need to/want to...thoughts or place to sit down??

Magical express bus pick up for Mom & I approx. 3-4 p.m from POP to airport.....

Mom & my flight 7:20 p.m.

So, this is preliminary plan of attack for the trip....one more week and I can make ressies!!!!!!!

What about lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe on your MK day? It wouldn't take too much time to get over there by boat or by monorail. Also, I don't know if you would want to do the Grand Floridian Tea. I have heard good things about both of those!

What about Kona or the Spirit of Aloha show on your MK day. They are both at the Poly so you could ride the monorail or boat. We did SOA in December and thought it was really nice.

Good Morning Lurkers,
I"ve noticed I have 4000+ views but only a few hundred posts, would love any lurkers to come out and join us!!!! Thanks for reading!!!:goodvibes

I'm still here LOL!!!

What about lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe on your MK day? It wouldn't take too much time to get over there by boat or by monorail. Also, I don't know if you would want to do the Grand Floridian Tea. I have heard good things about both of those!

I was going to suggest the GF Cafe as well, or you could take the boat over to the Wilderness Lodge and eat at Whispering Canyon.

Great plans! Grand Floridian Cafe is a great idea. It's nice and relaxing. Food is good too ..we love it there! :wizard:

too funny... grand floridian cafe was the 1st place i thought of too...or the tea would be a great girlie thing to do:lmao:

love all your plans...sounds like this trip is really coming together now!

9/16 MK day- get there 8-8:30 for opening ceremonies...(need tips, what time should I get there? where should we stand? never been so love some tips)
lunch at Terrace Noodle 12:30-1 p.m.
break late afternoon?
Dinner at 7 p.m hopefully KONA, if not, Grand Floridian Cafe (thanks for the ideas guys!!)
MK closes at 9 p.m so that will be it for this day, unless we feel like heading to DTD after dinner for a bit?

9/17 Epcot

WS in afternoon after lunch
dinner 7 p.m. Teppan Edo (if not, Le Celliar)

I think it looks great!!! :yay::woohoo::yay: Perfection! I can't wait to hear all about it.

I think you have a full but not too full agenda, you built in some time to rest, and have quite a few restaurants I've been dying to try. Can't wait to hear if you get them and, if so, what you think.

Are the online ADRs available yet or we still have to call? I need to check out the dining thread. I am two weeks from my ADR day and totally unprepared! :scared1:

Sounds like you had a busy weekend! Congrats to Ethan for learning to ride his bike without his trainers!! Does he like baseball? Both my boys play on competitive teams, so once March hits we are pretty much at a ballpark every weekend through July. It's exhausting sometimes, but can be so much fun too!

Thanks for the congrats for Ethan, being he's my 1st, it was a BIG deal for us, he took right to it and is a bike riding fool now!! He LOVES baseball...we have many years of it ahead of us I think with him and if the other boys follow....which I'm sure they will, Lucas took an indoor league this winter and really liked it too....I don't know how parents do it when they have more than one playing!! It must be tough for you!!!!

Thanks for your input, Brook. I hope you get a chance to check out my most recent plan of attack.....just a few more days and I'll know for sure where I get in! yay!!:yay:

-- You may want to make your ADR at The Wave a little later - that way you can have a more "relaxed" time at MK to catch the parade and do a few things, or just walk around ...

9/15 Epcot day- arrive about 9 a.m
12:30-1 p.m lunch at Tangerine Cafe
tour some more
head back to POP about 3 p.m to relax by the pool, have a drink and freshen up for dinner @ 7:30-8 p.m O'hanas.
9:30 fireworks from Poly beach from MNSSHP:worship::worship:

9/16 MK day- get there 8-8:30 for opening ceremonies...(need tips, what time should I get there? where should we stand? never been so love some tips)
lunch at Terrace Noodle 12:30-1 p.m.

-- Get there by 8:15 ... there's a planter/seating area that's dead center on the train station that is a nice spot ... and don't forget to hit the Main Street Bakery for a morning "snack" as you walk up Main Street! :thumbsup2
Terrace Noodle Station may not be open - so have a back up (upstairs at the Columbia Harbor House almost feels like a TS restaurant ...) Take a break in the afternoon and then an early dinner ... then back to the MK for Wishes and some "nightlife" ...

9/17 Epcot
opens at 9 a.m. will shoot for that time, get Soarin' FP 1st
lunch at Sunshine Season
WS in afternoon after lunch
dinner 7 p.m. Teppan Edo (if not, Le Celliar)

-- Get there by 8:30 ... you may need an afternoon break here (especially if you didn't take one the day before ...) - or just sit/sleep through a few screenings of "Impresions de France" ... :rotfl:

9/18 departure day, check out of room, have them hold luggage :guilty:
DHS (opens at 9 a.m.) try to get there close to opening to get FP for Toy Story Mania:woohoo:

WOW....I'm getting down there...89 more days today!!:thumbsup2

Time to start thinking about some fun things....I'd like to make matching tshirts for us girls but there is no way that Mom & Jodi will wear them....they laughed at the ones I made for our trip in December, so....that being said, that's out, but was thinking maybe make pillow cases for us .....have something designed and use them for our room? Is this DUMB? I know no one else would see it, but I was thinking Jodi & Mom would freak when I brought them out, thinking they were tshirts and then they'd be pillowcases, to make things more festive? IDK....trying to be creative here.

We need to decide on whether or not we'll do Photopass. I think it's so worth it and if we split it 3 ways, it's only $30 or so each. I think this trip needs to be documented in a big way, since it's once in a lifetime, and my Mom's big birthday, so we'll see about that.

Mom was up yesterday visiting the boys & I, we were talking about the overnight stay the night before. We were going to take the train from here, stay overnight in Boston, have a nice dinner and take a cab/train to Logan in the a.m. BUT I realized that on the flip side, our flight won't land until almost 10:30 at night at the end of our trip and that public transportation wouldn't be running, so we may now be driving up to Boston, leaving a car and that way we'll have it when we get home, I think this will be the way to go.

When making ADR's yesterday, the CM asked if I wanted to have a cake at anyone of our meals for Mom, for add'l charge, of course. Mom isn't a big dessert eater, since our ressie is marked for her 60th, I'm assuming they'll wish her a happy birthday when we go to eat, right? I'll get her a birthday pin to wear, of course, so that will help. Just trying to think what else to do special....maybe ask the CM when we get there if I can get a pic from Mickey and Minnie wishing her a Happy 60th? Ideas?

Okay, that's it for now..time to get the party started here. Today is Ethan's kindergarten celebration at school, he's singning his own part, bring out the tissues!!!:guilty: Yes, I"m one of those Mom's that always cries!! My baby is going to 1st grade in the Fall, how did that happen? Tomorrow is Lucas' gymnastics show, he'll do a show for us and get a trophy, very exciting!!! And 10 more days, my baby Cole will be 2!!!!!:sad2: Saturday morning we're going to see "Day out with Thomas", we're excited and he's going to love it, I'm sure of it!! Should be a nice day! Hope you won't mind, but I"ll probably post some pictures of that.

Hope everyone has a great day and thanks again for reading and for all your great ideas to make this trip even more special for us girls!!!!:goodvibes

PS- has anyone had to use a wheelchair in WDW? Mom has a bad back (she had emergency back surgery about 10 years ago for a couple of slipped discs) and has been having some issues with her ankle. She's starting to worry about all the walking in Disney and I told her not to worry about it, I"ll push her. I keep meaning to ask the CM's when I call and keep forgetting to see if I need to reserve one or if you can just get one, if you need it. Thanks!!:goodvibes

We never order a cake for birthdays at disney restaurants either. Especially since you get dessert with the dining plan. Most restaurants will put a candle in her desert and even sing her happy birthday if you ask.

You can just rent the wheelchair once you get into the parks. :thumbsup2 I think they have plenty to use so they won't run out. I think it's pretty cheap too for the push wheelchair.

I think the pillowcases would be a great idea! I almost did this for Jen & I but ran out of time. I saw on another TR how they decorate their own pillowcases with fabric markers, they were really cute!

That's what I was thinking too....we ordered one for our sons birthday when we were there in December (the small one) and we had so much left over, so I know we won't eat it, chances are Mom won't even eat the dssert she'll be given....thanks for the candle idea.

Thanks LL about the wheelchair info. So something we can do as needed, I guess, we wouldn't need a dr. note or anything? Have any idea? She's so worried about dragging us down and not being able to do it, she's in good shape but sometimes things act up and especially in the heat of September and all the walking, so I just want to have my bases covered.

You thought about the pillow cases, too! Maybe that's where I got the idea? Hmm, we'll see. I have to see what I can come up with, trying to be creative but not sure if they will care either way, too! LOL!!:lmao:

We need to decide on whether or not we'll do Photopass. I think I saw on all-ears that they just raised the price - but there still may be some "specials" available. We did the CD and book last trip and will probably do it again this trip ...

maybe ask the CM when we get there if I can get a pic from Mickey and Minnie wishing her a Happy 60th? Ideas? I'll think about it ...

Tomorrow is Lucas' gymnastics show, he'll do a show for us and get a trophy, very exciting!!! Our DD "graduates" from Kindergarten tomorrow!! I'm still working on how I'm going to tell her first grade teacher that we're pulling her out of school to go to WDW two weeks into the year ... :rotfl2:

I could also use the line "Never let school get in the way of education" ... but she's probably in the union ... :rotfl:

I also like matching shirts.. or at least the same theme. When we went- we only ended up with 1 matching shirt this time. I kept telling myself I'll get them, I'll figure it out and then waited to late and there was not enough time. Plus, it was hard deciding on what DH would wear. Idk if you remember but I made Wall-e shirts for us.. and I told him that it was peeling off from the wash but that it would work but 1 day and he prob wouldn't wear it again.. and then the other night he came out of the shower and said "look what I have on" and it was his wall-e shirt.. I was like awww. Even if you only wear it to bed it still means a lot to me. hehe

I was also having a hard time deciding on what to do to celebrate. I knew about the cake and was all excited to buy one but realized that with the dining plan we get dessert and I won't need double dessert.. hehe I then tried to have it delivered to my room but couldn't I had to pick it up at the food court. idk if they do cards or what.
BUT I will say- definitely get a birthday pin. She will get told "Happy birthday" a thousand times a day and maybe get special treatment. thats all I'm going to say. hehe

9/14 The Wave 5:50 p.m
9/15 Ohana 7:15 p.m
9/16 Kona 7:30 p.m
9/17 Teppan Edo 6:50 p.m
9/18 Mama Melrose 12:20 p.m.

Your ADRs look really good! We did lunch at The Wave and LOVED it. The food at Ohana is amazing--I WAY overate if you might recall from my TR back in November. We are thinking Teppan Edo for a family dinner in December, so I really look forward to your review!

I love the matching T-Shirts, or even just a similar theme-which is what we did in November. But, if your Mom and sister are completely against that idea, I think the pillowcases would be really fun-but you totally have to trick them into thinking they are t-shirts! :rotfl: The pillowcases would be a neat reminder of the trip for years to come too.

We had a signed picture and balloons in our room for our anniversary back in November. I have seen something similar for people's birthdays....so this might be a given. I don't know if they do it everytime, or if it just depends on the CM that happens to be prepping for your room. :confused3 But, as someone else mentioned, I bet some of her desserts will be birthday themed too.

I really look forward to your Thomas pictures! :thumbsup2

 for the kids growing up. :sad1: I can't believe Henry will be two soon either.

Hurrah for all of your ADRs! :dance3: I've actually never eaten at any of those restaurants so I can't wait to hear what you think!

I would love to hear about and see pictures of the boys' end of year activities! :thumbsup2

You are so sweet to think about ways to make the trip extra special. They really wouldn't wear t-s? Too bad. Pillowcases are a really cute idea. Or you could do little tote bags filled with the stuff we DIS'ers know is required - poncho from the dollar store, mole skin, sunscreen, maybe a cheap-o autograph book?

The Disney Florist has some really cute stuff that can be delivered to the room but it's not cheap...

No matter what you do- even if it is "just" plan the trip & make the ADRs (and we know how much work that is!)- it is going to be a magical trip that you all will remember forever! :goodvibes

Thanks for input, Joelp!! You may be right about the pillow cases, the more I think about, no, don't think it's just a guy thing!! LOL!!:lmao: It's scarey taking the kids out of school, isn't it? You never know what you're going to get!! I was nervous this past December, but Ethan's teacher was sooo excited for us!! Of course when we got his report card on Thursday he got PERFECT attendance all year and got certificates for it except for 2nd quarter..when we took him to Disney!! Oops......;)

Aww, that's so cute that Austy was wearing the Wall-e shirt the other night!!:cutie: It's the little things......

I know, having two desserts seems like a bit much!! LOL!! We dont need it or to put out the extra money to pay for another one either since we're on the dining plan.

I'll definately get a pin for her when we get there. We have the reservation marked for her 60th, so I hope she gets lots of attention while we're there!!:wizard:

Just wanted to share some of my week with you, hopefully I won't bore you too much! We had a lot happen.....first, Ethan graduated from Kindergarten and had a great final report card. :thumbsup2We took the family out to Friendly's to celebrate the big day that night. I have to tell you they sang the cutest songs to all of us parents and one was "Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today....1st grade, 1st grade...." it was so cute, that of course I cried!! LOL!! I'm telling you, I'm wasn't made to be the Mom of three boys, they will be telling Todd to leave me at home at one point because I'm sure to embarass them at some point or another!! LOL!! Here is a picture of Ethan and I in his classroom...

Our third son, Cole, will be 2 one week from today...where does time go??:confused3 We didn't have any great ideas on what to get him for his birthday since he's our third boy...we have clothes, trucks, balls...you get the point ,that we decided to get him a few small things but to do something instead for him. He's going to be 2..what does a 2 year old need really....so we took him (and of course, the other boys) to see Thomas the tank engine today. It was a great day, we had so much fun and Cole was SO EXCITED!!:yay:

Our ride was scheduled for 9:30, we got to Edaville Railroad in Carver, MA about 9. The music from Thomas was pumping through the park and we made our way for our ride. Here are a couple pics of us in one of the cars attached to Thomas (or TT as Cole calls him:cutie:).

After having the pics done with Thomas, we made our way to the amusement rides they have at Edaville, the kids had a blast. Cole has never done any sort of rides, other than at Disney and that was with us, this time he was alone or with just the boys, they were kiddie rides, so it was fine. He had so much fun!!

We're heading down to the Cape to see my Dad and the boys may go out on his boat if it's still nice around here. Mom is making dinner, I'm bringing dessert (oreo balls...yum!) and we'll have a little celebration there. We'll make Todd breakfast in the a.m and give him his gifts here before going to church. You have a beautiful family.

Congrats on the ADRs. It's so encouraging to see someone get the times they wanted, where they wanted. I've been so nervous. This 90 day thing is crazy. I get to make mine in another week. Wish me luck.

Hi Everyone!

I hope that you're all well!! :goodvibes I'm sorry I haven't had much of a Disney update recently, there isn't too much going on right now. I'm pretty consumed with our upcoming vacation to Sea Isle City, NJ, we leave on Saturday- Thursday, then we'll go to Tracey's (my BFF from Philly who we did Disney with in December) and enjoy the 4th with her and her family and come home 7/6. I'm so excited to see my nephews and hopefully get some time on the beach with the boys since the weather here in MA hasn't been too great, it's rained SO MUCH this month, it's unreal, it almost doesn't feel like Summer!!:guilty:

I also wanted to just post some pictures of my "baby" Cole will be 2 on Saturday night. My last baby is growing up too fast!!:sad2: But on the same note, we're on to bigger and better things.....he's getting more independant, sleeping in a bed these last few months, starting to sit on the potty and even trying so hard to dress himself, it's all good!!:lovestruc So this update is to wish my son a very HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY!!!

Once we're home for the shore, I'm sure I'll be in FULL DISNEY MODE! :wizard: It's hard to believe that my trip is only 2 /12 months away now!! Time is really starting to fly by!! Please stay tuned for that, in the meantime, enjoy the next week and please have a safe and fun 4th of July weekend!!!:grouphug:

We were going to take the train from here, stay overnight in Boston, have a nice dinner and take a cab/train to Logan in the a.m. BUT I realized that on the flip side, our flight won't land until almost 10:30 at night at the end of our trip and that public transportation wouldn't be running, so we may now be driving up to Boston, leaving a car and that way we'll have it when we get home, I think this will be the way to go.

Sorry, I am a bit behind!!

Have you thought about a airport limo for your ride home from the airport? Do the math. It will probably be cheaper than leaving a car at Logan. That is what we always did.

Parking at Logan > renting an airport limo, a night in Boston AND $$ to spend in WDW.

Hi Everyone!!

I'm baacccckkk!!! I only have a few minutes to say hi, but hope to update in the next day or two! I came home to an inbox of updates from other DIS reports I'm reading and I was trying to get through all of those. WOW...I may be subcribed to too many!! LOL!!

Thanks for all of the nice birthday wishes for my Cole!!:goodvibes He had a great birthday, we celebrated at my parents on the Cape, I made a TT cake for him and he got some great new presents..including a cool new Mickey sprinkler!! Fun! I'll try and post pics later, just need to get them organized and ready to do so first.

From there, we headed to NY and then to the NJ shore. We had a great time, but glad to be home, too! Joelp, I waved, but didn't see you..you must have been in OC already?:confused3 LOL!!:rotfl: We had great weather and fun with my inlaws on the beach for 5 days and then headed to Philly to see Tracey and family. It was fun!:cloud9:

Back to reality here for me....Todd went back to work Tuesday morning and I've been busy catching at home, along with keeping my now spoiled children entertained in our crummy NE weather!

I hope all had a great 4th and that you're all well and I hope to update soon! And hope to get back with individual comments too to all of your nice replies! Thanks for sticking with me!!!:goodvibes

Hi Everyone!

TGIF! It's another sunny day here in MA, so I don't have time to post really today, but I see more rain in our future (UGH!) so there will be time to post some real Disney posts soon!! Stay tuned! I just wanted to wish everyone a nice weekend while I had a minute!!

I'm still working on the night before the trip with my Mom. Thanks for your great ideas, I'm researching those and some other park and ride hotels near Logan to see the price difference. I'm hoping to have those ironed out this weekend, I'm just waiting to get Mom's input there.

I have also sent a list of "necessities" for Jodi to bring. Since she is driving from SC to POP, we can have her haul some things so we don't need to. Most important is my BED!!!:cloud9: I have told them that I will be the one to sleep on the air mattress so we all have our own space after a long day together, but I'm counting on Jodi bringing that up for me. Along with a case of water, some snacks, maybe some quick breakfast foods to take on our way out, that sort. Can you think of anything that I wouldn't think of?

On my agenda shortly is shoes...do I get a new pair of crocs? keens? sneaks? ahhh!!! , park bag...starting to question my VB purchase (LL, you wouldn't have any idea on this, would you? LOL!!)...is it big enough? too big? Ahhh!! After all, it's just me I need to worry about (imagine that?!!:cloud9:) so I don't need that much...I don't think.....camera, chapstick, wallet, gum, poncho, sunscreen.....what else?

I bet you cant wait to September just to see the sun for longer than a day or two:lmao:

For those of you not in the New England area it has rained almost everyday for the past few months. I actually think the last time I really enjoyed the sun was in April down in Disney

I didn't even get to enjoy the sun in Disney in May!

I am so over the rain we have been having. I have been counting down the mniutes today at work so I can get out there in the NICE sunshine!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!

I can't think of anything else you have forgotten for Jodi to bring.

What bag did you end up buying? I am sure it will be just fine for you! :thumbsup2

This Summer has stunk weather wise, I was sooo happy to be on the beach this a.m I hope you got to enjoy some of it today...it was just the most perfect day! Let's hope the weekend is similiar!!!!:thumbsup2

I ended up buying the mini hipster!

Hmmm....thanks! I'm going to take a look at their website, Todd is going to kill me! I guess I'll try and fit things in and go from there, I'm with you, the smaller the better fitting everything....it just seem SO tiny!!!:rolleyes1 I was thinking about getting one of their backpacks.....hmm, my wheels are spinning......

I used the hipster (not mini-hipster) on my last trip in January, and it was great for the plane and great for Disney. Big enough for my BlackBerry, wallet, camera, and a few other random things and could still zip up!

So I made the BIG decision and with Todd's consent, I bought ANOTHER VB bag!:rolleyes1 They are addicting!!!! I'm excited though, I think this will work out just fine for me! I hope so anyways since I told Todd this was it.....

I ended up with a Backsack in Rasberry fizz, I thought it was a fun pattern and color for a fun vacaction (not to mention on SALE!!)...here it is!

http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/ww50/princessher4princes/RasberryfizzVB.png

What do you think? I think it will be nice to be hands free, not have something across my chest and neck and it cinches up nicely so I don't have to worry about losing anything. Plus it's got a few pockets too, so that will be nice, too. We had a 'freebie' bag in a similiar style so I had Todd try it on (what a good sport!) and it seemed like it would work just fine.:thumbsup2

One more thing done....2 months 2 days (almost 1 day!!)...woohoo!!!!:dance3:

When I think about leaving them I get so nervous and guilty feeling....and then the thoughts of when I see the castle, Mickey, Buzz and Woody for the first time without the boys will probably kill me. I do! I do! :rotfl:

I haven't done any calculations to see if it's "worth" it ... But once you meet the enrollment criteria and become a "VIP", there's Buy 1 - Get 50/60% of all other type deals, so that will save some $$ (especially on sets) ... and there's "exclusive" DVDs, pins, and other stuff you can only get through the club.

Unless you run out and buy the DVDs the week they are issued and are usually on sale, I don't think you will end up spending more than you would for normal or "normal sale" prices ... And I think you can save on Blu-Ray DVDs (but I don't buy them ...)

Haunted Mansion can be scary - so be careful watching it with the little ones ... it's funny and "serious" (and I don't think the movie really parrallels the "attraction story" all that well ...)

"Disney World bus crash hurts 12 at Fla. theme park
1 hour ago

ORLANDO, Fla. — Officials say two buses have collided at Walt Disney World, leaving a dozen visitors with minor injuries.

A Florida Highway Patrol report says one Disney bus rear-ended another Thursday afternoon. About 50 people were on both buses. The 12 injured passengers were taken to four nearby hospitals for treatment.

The accident comes 11 days after 21-year-old monorail pilot Austin Wuennenberg died when another train accidentally backed into his train at the sprawling Orlando resort.

The park's vast transit system shuttles thousands of visitors around the attraction each day."

A quick Disney update, I got an email from Delta this a.m. with a flight change, I was scared to open it, since our trip is so short to begin with and was happily surprised to see they didn't change it much. Let's hope it stays this way!!!! We were originally taking off from Boston at 7 a.m and now it's 7:10 a.m and we get in earlier!!:cool1: And on the flip side, we're now leaving about 1/2 hour earlier than we were, so that shouldn't effect us, too much, I hope!!:confused3

I just saw it posted on another thread. This is not good for WDW at all. The article I read said that the injuries were minor. Let's hope so.

I love the color of the VB bag. I'm glad you are excited about getting it. You'll have to let us all know how well it works for you at the parks.

I love my new bag, it came yesterday afternoon and it's adorable!! I haven't filled it yet, but it's the perfect size and I think it's going to work out just fine!!:thumbsup2

I have been a DMC member for a long time. :thumbsup2

My kids love the Haunted Mansion movie, however they wouldnt go on the ride itself because they thought things in the movie were going to happen to them.:rotfl:

They now want me to buy the Tower of Terror movie after DD rode that ride.

Too funny about the HM Movie and the kids!:lmao: I don't blame them though!! Never heard of the Tower of Terror movies! Hmm, something to look into...although, I'm not a big ToT fan....that's one ride I can do with out!!!

I just LOVE that video!! My girls and I have watched it sooo many times! I even posted it on my Facebook page! :cool1:

Wasn't it SO cute!!!:cutie:

TGIF everyone!!:wizard:

A quick Disney update, I got an email from Delta this a.m. with a flight change, I was scared to open it, since our trip is so short to begin with and was happily surprised to see they didn't change it much. Let's hope it stays this way!!!! We were originally taking off from Boston at 7 a.m and now it's 7:10 a.m and we get in earlier!!:cool1: And on the flip side, we're now leaving about 1/2 hour earlier than we were, so that shouldn't effect us, too much, I hope!!:confused3

Okay, off to beach since it's another beautiful day here in MA, I hope you're all well and will try and post more of an update this weekend, thanks again for reading!!!!:goodvibes
I don't think I've ever flown Delta without a multitude of time changes. Be sure to check on your seats. My experience was whenever they changed the time I lost my seats. Frustrating.

Yes it was a beauty of a day in MA today! About time!:woohoo:

Woo- close call. Glad the changes were only by a matter of minutes. I got another change email too but thankfully it was the same type of change as opposed to the last one I got! :scared:

Hope you're enjoying the great weather we're finally having this weekend!! :)

Did you, or anyone else, ever hear any follow up on the bus crash story? Was everyone OK?

Don't you just hate those flight change emails! I got one for our NWA flight (now owned by Delta) the other day and it had me worried...thankfully it was not much of a change either.

Just a quick update to say 56 more days! It's really flying by now!! I'm PROMISING an update of some sort this afternoon, the weather here in MA has been incredible this past week, the boys and I have been beaching it since we're ALL happier there. There is something for all of us to do and I even get to relax some...imagine that with three little boys!!!:cloud9: We're packing our bags now to head back to the beach this morning, stay for lunch and get home in time for Cole's nap...until then...have a great day!!!!:goodvibes

I'm glad your flight wasn't changed much. I hate when they do that- don't they understand that we have plans and we picked that time for a reason. hehe I don't know if you remember but I had to cancel my flight and rebook with someone else to get the time I needed. Also, YAY for 56 days!

Hi Brook,
I haven't heard anymore about the bus crash, originally I heard that it was minor injuries...so hopefully that was the case. Kinda scary how many accidents have happened recently there...:sad2:

Hi Kristen!! I have been trying to post on your PTR for ages now but for some reason it wasn't letting me and I was getting so frustrated! Haha yay I can finally get in touch with you! Hope you had fun at the beach with the boys!

You are getting so close to your trip, you must be SO excited! I hate getting those letters from Delta saying the flight is changed, they are so scary to open. We got 5 altogether for our trip in June. Hopefully your times don't stray too far from what you originally had planned!

Happy Summer :cutie:

Really, summer can be so short, can't it? I am finding it hard to believe Minnesota only has about 2 months left of warm weather. I'm DREADING the fall-and it's my favorite season!! This summer has hardly gotten hot here, so I am ALL ABOUT taking advantage while you can! I hope the beach was great!!!!!!!!!!!

That is what I heard too. I am sure if it was more serious we would have heard more details. It is scary about all the accidents! It was like one week and one awful news story after another. Hopefully that will come to an end and all we'll hear are pixie dust stories now again!

And all three boys can find something to do and have fun for HOURS and I even get to sit some myself and enjoy...imagine that?!!:confused3 LOL!!:rotfl:

Hi Everyone!!

I'm working on our plan of attack as we speak here....this week has been crazy for me....we were on the beach Monday, yesterday is POURED all day long so we did the free movie at the theatre with friends and some school shopping at Old Navy ( boys jeans for $6.99! Had to get them!!) and this a.m I had plans for the beach but my good friend/neighbor called and she was in labor (:goodvibes), so I took her little ones about 6:30 this morning so she could head to the hospital with her hubby...still no word on the baby yet, it's her third too, so it's been very exciting!!

My Mom is still going back and forth with me on the whole getting to Boston and back deal...it's starting to make me nutty....let's just decide something already!! LOL!!:rotfl:

My sister, Jodi, is in a boot (Brook, sound familiar?) and has been the last month or so, she had surgery last Spring on it and it was doing better but now she's having issues again....I hope they clear up before out trip!! Between Moms' back and Jodi's foot, I may need to get a double wheelchair!!:lmao: Oh well,we're still going to WDW!!

I've been slacking some on my running but started again full force....more like wogging though since my shins are still giving me issues when I run!:guilty: It feels good to be back in the swing of things....I'm doing about 2 miles a day and loving it!!!!

My next 'update' will start my day one plans...stay tuned!!:cloud9:

How fun about best friends baby! My BFF is due 8/18 and when she goes into labor, I get the other baby (18mos) while they are at the hospital. I watched Ali (her daughter) be born and it was wonderful. But I'm more than happy to stay home and help keep Ali while they have this one.

That's so great you started running again. Running is definately not for me (horrible shin splints), but my older sis started running this year. I think she's done 3 or 4 5k's this summer! She's doing another one tomorrow. Her in-laws are huge runners (done a few marathons), so they kind of inspired her. I'll just stick to watching from the sidelines!

I did 11 miles last week running/wogging, I impressed myself!!! It's SO good for my head (and my body!!)....it's my downtime from the kids, I do it at 5:30 a.m before anyone gets up and it starts my day off just right!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for being patient with me, it's been a busy Summer and i'm finding it very hard to keep up with DIS!! Much to my dismay...lol!!:lmao: Hope you're all having a great Summer, now that the weather is cooperating and enjoying yourselves!!!

This week the older boys are in VBS in the mornings so Cole and I are enjoying some one on one time together, it's SO nice!! :cloud9: The poor third baby never gets that so it's been fun!:cutie:

I'm on serious countdown now....

48 days
4,147,200 seconds
69,120 minutes
1152 hours
6 weeks

9/14 DAY ONE!
10:23 a.m. land at MCO

12 noon arrive at Pop Century:yay:

lunch at Everthing Pop popcorn::

meet up with Jodi, she's driving down from SC, then we hope to get room, unpack, freshen up some.

2-3 p.m head to MK!!!! No plan here...other than just take it all in!!!:cloud9: We'll most likely do IASW, Mom use to ALWAYS take us there 1st as children, so it's only appropriate that we do the same with her!!!

5:50 p.m dinner at The Wave - can't wait to try this new place!!!:thumbsup2

8ish p.m head back to room after dinner for a good nights sleep!!:cloud9:

So, what do you think?:confused3

I'm still trying to decide on shoes and clothes. I've picked up some cute dresses for dinner on sale at Target and Kohl's, I'll try and take pics tomorrow to show you guys. I think it will be so fun to dress up a bit for dinner, with the kids we usually do out sit downs at lunchtime to take a load off for awhile in the A/C and chill some and do the counter service at dinner when everyone is tired.

No one has committed to Photopass. It's like pulling teeth to get anyone to commit.....I'm so use to being in control and they are killing me!! I'm talking with Jodi tomorrow during Cole's naptime, so I"ll pin her down one way or another!!

Mom still hasn't decided what do on the way up to Boston or home.:sad2: She was away all last week, so hopefully by weeks end I'll have that done too.......

Okay, Cole's making noise, naptime is over here!! Have a great afternoon!!

I think your plans look good! I like the "go with the flow" attitude about MK. We ate a lunch at The Wave (burgers) and really liked it. I hope you like it too!

My boot here is eh. I'm slowly loosing hope that it's doing anything at all, my ankle is still very swollen and I'm in pain most of the time - less pain though, so I guess that is good. One week, 2 days left to go, we'll see what happens!

Don't forget Mickey's Philharmagic ... and that "let's go ogle Jack Sparrow/Johnny Depp " ride ... :rotfl:

Since you'll be at the Contemporary for dinner - if you're still going reasonably strong - you may also want to tour the GF and/or Poly ...

I pulled a calf muscle (again!!) playing softball - so no running for me the last couple weeks ... :headache:

You are SO RIGHT about Mickey's Philharmagic....that is the PERFECT show to see your 1st day in the MK! Thanks for reminding me!! Love that show and I'm not sure that Mom and Jodi have ever seen it!
