To quote one of the more frivolous lawsuits again Disney...

"Last spring, for example, a man from Puerto Rico sued Disney because he had fainted from embarrassment when a ride attendant in the Magic Kingdom challenged him as he stood in a FastPass "shortcut" line at Space Mountain."

Thanks for posting, very interesting read.

Just goes to show you, you need to be aware of your surroundings, lots of trips and falls resulting in injuries. We sometimes fail to watch our step, or see where we are going as we walk around trying to take in the scenery.

So be careful everyone and stay safe.

Also, don't try to line jump into the FP line, you will be stopped, and run the risk of being embarrased to the point of fainting, thereby causing injury to yourself. lol

Also, if Disney offers you $250,000 for your trip and fall, take it or you may end up oweing them $170,000, when the case goes to court and Disney wins.

I had to laugh at the guy who turned down the offer of $250,000 from Disney (I assume that wasn't enough for him!??!) and when it went to a jury, he lost, and then had to PAY disney almost $130,000 for legal expenses. Guess he should have settled for the $250,000 lol

I see that the woman that got beat up at the Mad Tea Party is suing Disney. I originally felt bad for her til I read this...

That was not that long ago that happened. I don't think if there is/was a lawsuit it would have an outcome yet.
Under CR I saw one listed where "A woman said she tripped on an unleveled walkway, fell and was injured when she got off a Disney World bus." And that was in 2006. Even that one shows as still active in court.

I think the recent one was at CR, by a bus, hitting a vehicle parked in the WDW Bus only area. If I recall correct.

It is amazing how almost all are due to people tripping and falling.

I was at the Contemporary that night when the accident happened because I saw all the police cars, ambluances and helecopters arriving at the same time. I don't know what happened after because that accident never made the news down there, although I don't see how WDW could get sued because the person in that car should not have been parked there and there was a sign which said WDW buses only.

The sad part about some of these suits is that they can even reach court in the first place. Worse still, there are judges and jury members out there who fall for this stuff.

All the jury decisions have been in the parks favor.

Regardless... there were an astounding number of clearly frivolous suits which were dismissed.. Shocking ... so shockin to see such stupidity.
