Well here is an update.... a few months ago I received a 40% code in the mail, the problem was that it was addressed to a friend who once travelled to disney with me on my ressie. My friend never lived here( we built our home), and passed away in 2003. i called Disney because we wanted to book a trip and several times I was treated like a criminal for even asking if i could use it.The Cms I dealt with were flat out mean and nasty. The supervisor pretty much yes'd me to death and hung up on me.I finally snapped and wrote guest communications to complain about how I was treated,I also complained that Disney needs to update its database of info.I never asked for anything just follow up.Well, after almost 3 months, I got a phone call last night. They were very nice and asked me to call back today to speak with the supervisor because they want to extend me an offer. The Cm I spoke to said they realize that their info is incorrect sometimes, that they have a "certain method" for selecting guests to discount , etc. I really honestly could care less about any offer, but all the same it was nice to get a response. I will keep you all posted as to what my offer is.

Disney's data base is a joke. They've had so much wrong information on me that I've corrected so many times, I just laugh when they read my info back to me.

Yes, they have a method for "selecting" who gets the code. And Disney's method is soooo sophisticated, it sometimes "selects" dead people.

Of course, the codes are designed to get the infrequent visitor to come back, so . . . perhaps there is some kind of wierd logic going on here -- or Disney knows something about mortality that we don't!!

Glad it worked out for you. Enjoy!

Disney's database is ridiculous. They sent my AP welcome letter (I guess that's what it is since I haven't seen it yet :confused3) to my mother. Despite numerous attempts to correct them, they continue to get me and my mother confused. She gets my stuff and I get hers. Wonder what would happen if one of us gets a code?? :goodvibes

They offered me the 40% for my dates in Dec. They also kept apologizing, but kept saying that offers are selected by secret process and computer generated.I ended up not being able to use the discount they gave anyway, since they would not allow it for BCv and Dh refuses to stay anywhere else, plus we already got it thru my AAA agent. But they tried, and quite honestly at least they know how ridiculous their " random super secret process" can be.After all this, they still have my friend listed at my address and can't get her off it.I asked them to mark her deceased and it kept marking me deceased instead...:confused3

I know right? I would stay anywhere just to go, but DH loves the BCv and will not go anywhere else. His only other choice was BWv and I couldn't get it there either. Oh well.I will still have great fun! See you there!

How nice they acknowledged your communication re: the mix-up and offered to honor the 40% off code! How unfortunate you couldn't use it for the BCV though!

Since taking a girls trip to Disney a couple years ago, Disney has substituted my friend's name for my husband's in their data base! They send her emails to his email address, they send her 40% off pin codes to his email address, and they've also sent her annual pass renewal notices to his email address. She doesn't even have an annual pass! It's actually his annual pass that is renewing on the dates indicated in the email. We have both written and emailed Disney and have never gotten a response. They have also refused to allow us to use the pin codes that come to my husband's email account. It is very frustrating and quite unbelieveable that a business as big as Disney has such a flawed system.

^^^ I'm sorry but for some reason this had me rolling with laughter. :rotfl2: I know this isn't what you wanted to hear it is just this scenario is almost like something out of a dark comedic play. Too Shakespearian for me! :rotfl: But seriously I hope it all works out for you and your family. :thumbsup2

Every single time I call CRO for something, they say do you have an e-mail. Now they are always sending stuff through e-mail and it gets here. But for some reason it never shows up on their computer when I am talking to them, or they have an old e-mail address listed. They say okay now we have it fixed. Yeah, right, until the next time, and then we have the same conversation. It's no wnoder I never get any codes via e-mail.

Many years ago our son at age 16 was killed in a car accident. (1991), About 6 months after that we got a mailing form a store that said " we were so glad you visited our store last month." I just about lost it. I wrote to the company and said I would appreciate it if they did not send ads to my son, who had passed away 6 months ago. I know I was not being rational at the time, but it really ticked me off. They did send an apology, but when someone passes away why does it take forever to get them listed as deceased. Computers are great tools when they work right!!!
