A guaranteed room

It looks like there are only guaranteed rooms left for category 6 on the Easter cruise. Has anyone ever had a guaranteed room and ended up with a cheaper category (7, in this case)? Would you get reimbursed part of the price? When and how exactly do you find out what room/category you finally get? Would anyone advice against a guaranteed room? Please let me know what you think!

By the way, wasn't there a website (Disney's maybe) that you could look up your room number before you got your travel docs? I thought I remembered someone mentioning this before. Anyone?

If you go to www.disneycruise.com go to Reservations, then on the right side of the Reservations screen, click on Check Your Reservation. You will need the Confirmation Number and the Phone Number of the person who made the reservations.
