So for a 5 day cruise in July 2010 the cash cost is:
1 person: $3029
2 people: $3763

So my question is if I book this cruise with 1 person on points 1 person on cash will my cash amount be the difference of the 2 versus 1 person ($734) or will it be the $3029?

Disclaimer: I know that the cruise isn't the best bang for your points..just wondering. :)

Thanks so much!

If that's a DCL price, it will be different based on DVC's negotiated price. You need to ask DVC what the price will be.

You may find it to be more expensive to buy half and half. I did. But we had booked on board. With the discount it was cheaper because if you use points they charge you at a different rate for the cash portion and its not discounted. At least it wasn't for us. We had a 7 day booked on board and I called trying to save some money and had the points to spare. Actually it was going to cost us a few hundred more via the points route. BUT that was with onboard discount. Give it a try and let us know what they say.
