My hubby hurt his back at work AFTER we booked our trip to Disneyland. We leave tomorrow night, and he still wants to go but there is not way he can walk around for 3 days. We want to rent the ECV and than park it at the rides (Like with the strollers) and he can stand in the lines (The walking AND lines are what's gonna kill him). I considered renting one from an outside source but we will be taking a taxi to DL each day so that would not work. Also does anyone know how much the deposit is? We are on limited funds and don't have any credit cards so we need to plan this out. Thanks everyone!!

I am not sure what the answer to your question is.
I looked in the Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities for Disneyland and the price is not listed.

If you don't get a better answer, I would suggest going by the information for WDW as a rough estimate. This is what is listed for WDW:
ECVs: $45/day and $20 key deposit that you will get back when the key is returned (so you pay $65 and get $20 of that back with the key return)

I think it is slightly less at DL than at WDW.

My advice is to use the ECV in line whenever possible (which will be easy in DCA - everything is mainstreamed!). I used to say I would walk the lines, then tried it and got exhausted. i got stuck standing in hte TT line when the ride broke down, and was stuck. it was terrible!

Use the ECV whenever possible. Pain is not worth the bit of benefit from walking that little bit.

I am pretty sure I answered this person over at Disneyland board and offered to do a guided ECV tour if they needed a free one. The prices are right on the nose, Sue. They never PMed me for the free help in the park.
