Mods please move to trip reports: Just the start of a new family tradition!

First let me introduce everyone.
I am 29 yrs old, will be turing 30 in August. wow that is so hard to believe, I just don't feel my age and never really have. I am sleep tech for sleepmed, the largest sleep company in the U.S. I have been doing sleep for 3 1/2 yrs and love it, though there are times I get very board.
My dh is 40yrs old and is disabled. He was in the navy for 4 yrs and hurt his back. He had back surgury back in 1991. He then went back to work for an a/c plant and reinjured his back in April of 2002. He tried to go back that dec. but was not able to handle the work. He then tried again the end of Jan of 2003 and was still unable to handle the work. He has not work since. That is when I decided to go back to college and now help to support us. My husband is on disablity. We have been threw sooo much since he hurt his back in 2002. At that time we had a 2 yr old and 4 mo old.

Our little characters and oh boy do I mean characters:
DD- 9 and a straight A student which is also in the eagles program for gifted (smart) kids
DS-7 and not the brightest crayon in the box, but we love him anyways, he has cp with a spongy upper body and has been going to speech therapy since he was 2 1/2 yrs old.
DD-4 little ms night owl with an attidute, she will be celebrating her 5th birthday while at the world; we have special ressies at the castle for that night.
DS-7 1/2 mos (10mo at travel time) He is in to everything now

I am so much an ocd planner it is unreal. I get on here at least every other day if not every day. I am soo addicted.

We are going to be arriving at WDW on June 4th and leave the 11th. As of right now I am set to work the 2nd (I work nights) and when I get home, plan to sleep and then get up around 5pm, eat dinner, and then leave for disney. Which would but us in Orlando around 2am, so we plan to check into a hotel off site for the night. We have not told the kids this, as far as they know we are leaving at 4am on thurday morning. I can't wait to see the looks on there faces. We will have them take there baths like any other night, but on there pjs and then when they are all done say "hey lets leave now for disney, who is up for it?"

We will get up and go check at All Star Music Resort that morning and head to then head to the outlets to do a little shopping. My kids have to have a stuffed animal to sleep with and as a surprise I am going to let them pick out an animal there. They are going to pack there animal at home and with out them knowing I am going to unpack it and leave it at home. "Opps mommy must have left it, I guess we will have to get you one."

We then head to daytona beach check into our hotel for the night.
Dinner- eat with my mom which will be on vacation in daytona for the week we are at wdw.

12th- Friday eat a cont. breakfast- I love free food lol
spend some time on the beach then eat lunch with mom and leave kids with her. we will then be heading
home with just 1 (the baby) wow that will be such a quite ride home.

We'll be at the Yacht Club June 6-13, then moving over to CSR til June 20. Although we're eating at some of the same restaurants as you, its not on the same days!
June can't get here quick enough for us!!!!!

I made mickey tie dyed shirts today for all of use to wear. I can't wait to see what they all look like. I even did one for the baby, which was an 18mo size shirt. It was so tiny. I will post pictures of them once the are done. I may even let the kids try them on since the helped me make them some what and take a picture of them with them on. I am working on a few other shirts that the kids dont know about. I am going to be packing there clothes in to ziploc bags for each day and plan to slip the shirts in there while they are at school. :rolleyes1 My son asked me what are all these shirts for. I have about 3 plain white ones each, a lime green each, and a red one each. I'm so slick. :laundy:

I am working on tye dyed mickey shirts and iron on shirts. I have several that I am doing. When I have them done I will try and get some pics taken and post them. I am redoing the tye dyed mickey shirts. The first ones did not come out how I wanted them too. There were very faded and the mickey heads where to big. Hope the next ones come out, but we now have sleep shirts for disney. :rotfl:

It is getting close and I am getting so excited. We only have 47 days left. Our mickey mail should come in sometime around next weekend. I have my shopping list for when we get to disney made out, our packing list is made and I am starting to gather things up. I have started a big shopping bag which is now full and have started another which is headed there with goodies. I have our sunscreen, fans, fun goodies for the kiddos for entertainment and all kinds of other things that the tippers have gave me. This board has been such a huge help. Thanks to all for reading. I hope to post lots of pics and info either while at disney or once we get back.

Thanks to the DISingers on here. I am going to work on th tye dyed shirts tommorrow and then I have 2 more sets of shirts to get done. I am doing one set with everyone wearing a different drawf. I am also doing a lime green shirt for everyone. I am still tring to decide what to put on that shirt. Any inputs are welcome.
The red shirts were done with AMY'S transfers and they are so great. I havent washed them yet, but I plan to post a pic of them before and after washed.

Only 16 more days to go!! :banana: We accually only have 15days, but shhhh the kids dont know that. We decided to get a hotel for 1 night near the main gate, so that we can get up the next morning and go straight to disney. :rolleyes1 I can't wait. My dresser is a wreck. I have all of the shirts that I made washed and nicely folded sitting on my dresser. I also have all the little things I have been buying here and there sitting in a few different bags on my dresser and beside my dresser. I am working 4 nights this week then off sat, sun, mon and then work 4 in a row and off sat then work sun, mon, tue and we are leaving wed morning. I am still trying to figure out when I am going to pack. :scared1: I think I am going to try and do what I can this weekend and then I wont have but a few last min things to add in a few days before we are set to leave.
I have my planning books finished, all I have to do is take it to officemax and have it bound. I also did a mini version for the stuff we need to know while in the parks, like our touring plans and adrs and the snack list. I will try and post a pic of both of them tom if possible. I also have the kiddos activity books done and ready to go.

I made them all, with the wonderful help of the creative disigners on here. I printed themn and ironed them on. I can tell you more if you want.

It was one of the DISigners from the boards. I honestly do not remember who it was, but I am thinking it was Natilie. I know a lot of the disigns that I used were ones she created, there were a few others I used as well. I used the avery transfers at walmart for the mickey heads. I also used amys transfers and she is on the boards as well, as well as the avery dark transfers and I have to say next year I plan on just using amys transfers. They are a little more expensive, but sooo much nicer and better quality.
Thanks for reading and I'm glad you like the shirts. I made 8 of them, a different one for each day. I will post pics of us wearing them, hopefully while either on vacation or when I get back.

I just realized we promised the kids that on our first night we would order pizza and swim at the pool. But the kids don't know that our first night will not be at disney. We are coming in a day early on the 3rd and stayiing at a hotel right at the main gate, but the kiddos don't know all this. :rolleyes1 We have decided to tell them the night before, since they are not going to school on that day now. I spoke with my daughters teacher and she said that it was ok, they were not doing anything and all grades would already be turned in. But the students do not know this.
So now the delima is I get to deal with wet bathing suites :scared: between the outside hotel until we check into disney. I am hoping our room willl be ready early. :worship: Or maybe they will dry out over night.

What is the lates you can add someone to your resort ressie? He will be 3 the first of June, do I need to bring anything since he wont be able to take advantage of the birthday deal? He gets in free and eats with us free since he is 2 at the beginning of our vacation. But he is already going around saying I'm 3 and he isnt just yet. :rotfl:

I am on hold now tring to change a few of our adrs. After reading SEVERAL reviews about ohana and a friend of mine telling me that is her family's favorite resturant I just have to book there. I sure there is. I will update and let you all know how it goes. :confused:

We tried to get something on the monorail for our trip June 4-7 and couldn't...of course, we were looking for character meals but we tried ohana too and were unsuccessful

[I started at 7am this morning and it went straight threw. I was on hold for about 5 mins max. I had a very nice and helpful lady on the phone. I am needing to add my nephew to all of my ressies which will take us from a party of 6 to a party of 7. You wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal. :lmao: Yeah right! We had to go threw each and every ressie :scared1: to try and add just the one person, a 2 year old at that. Well after an hr and 30 mins I was only able to change 1 of 6 breakfast, 3 of 4 lunches and 2 of 6 dinners. I guess it really isnt that bad when you really think about it.
I then spoke to my sister around 10 this morning and she informed me she wanted to eat with us at all the meals except the day she is going to her dads in Tampa. Well then I get back on the phone at 12pm and was on the phone for 1 hr and 18 mins. I was able to add no breakfast, 3 lunch tables, and change 2 dinners to a party of 9. Well I then sent her a text and email with the info in it and let her know what cindy's cost and that I am still tring on that one, and she informed me that she did not want to pay those prices.
So I had to call back a 3rd time, yes I said a 3rd time. I had to cx the 3 lunch ressies. She is still wanting to go to crt with us. She is willing to pay the 40 bucks at crt, but not willing to pay 15 to 20 bucks at other resturants. :confused: Did I say I was ready to kill her. :love: Can you feel the love. I guess I am going to just keep calling wdw every day until I get what I need. I really really need crt, chef mickeys, and princess story book.
I just can't wait until I am in the world and enjoying all the food. yum popcorn:: Only 6 more days until we leave for orlando and the kids still dont know. Wow it has been so hard keeping that a secret. I am not good at secrets.

Oh my I am busting with excitment! :dance3: I am soo full of energy and I worked all night and I have been up siince 1pm yesterday. My coworker says I have lost it. I have been bit by the disney bug and I havent been since 1998 imagine how I will be when I get there. I will be like a kid in a candy store. I am backed and ready to go. My daughter and I did go to walmart and get the last few little things we needed so we could pack them like another memory card for my digital camera and bottle liners for the baby.
I am going to take my unofficial guide to disney and my new book I got yesterday at walmart "Twilight" to the pool and just sun bath and swim all day. popcorn::

Wow only 3 more days till we leave for the mouse's house!! :banana: This time next week we will be at the star wars event. My husband and son are watching star wars now. I am finishing up my jewelry that I am making to wear. I wanted some to match all of my new shirts that I made. Here are a few pics of all the luggage and things we are brining, minus the stroller. Which is a double jogging stoller. We had to have a stoller we new would fit my son. This one holds up to 75lbs in each seat. He onlly weights 58lbs right now and so I am hoping he will still be able to fit it next year.

The picture frame you see in the 2nd picture is for our family pictures we had taken back at thanksgiving with mama and all the family. I have one that is simular, but bigger for our disney pictures. I bought it 2 years ago when we were planning trip and it had to be changed to the next year do to my mama coming into town and then changed again to this year to do me being pregnant with our little man.

Wow hard to believe we will be leaving TODAY!:banana: I am soo excited. I am working tonight, Tuesday, well it is now Wednesday morning. We leave in no later than 7 1/2 hrs. As soon as I get off work I am going home and we will pack the van and head out. My husband told the kids when he picked them up that they were not going to school on Wednesday, the next day and all my daughter had to say was, thanks mom I didnt get a chance to say good bye. :eek: So sweet uh.
We should be in Orlando by 4pm. We plan to go to the disney outlet and get the kids mickey and minnie hats. I am also going to try and find my neice and nephews something. We will then go and check into our hotel off site for the one night. I promised my daughter we would eat pizza and swim for a while and off to bed for the big day at disney.
We are meeting another disser at 745 am to pick up a fridge. :scared1: I am so not a morning person. I guess I'll have to be while at disney with my kids, which are. Hope to post live updates while at disney. :dance3:

We were talking about our next trip on the way home also. More on that later. I am going to attempt to start my trip report tonight.

This was not our official start to our disney vacation. We decided a few months before our vacation to add a day and stay off site for one night so that we could wake up and be right there at disney. This was a suprise to the kids. They started to catch on a little as there noticed there countdown calendar was not adding up right. I was slick about this too.
My husband picked them up from school on Tuesday and told them they would not be going to school the next day and they need to make sure they had everything. All my oldest daughter could say was thanks mom I didnt get to say bye to my friends. :confused3 But it didnt take them long to get excited.
I got off work and we loaded the van as soon as I got there. We were on the road by 8:30am headed to orlando. The kids were so excited they didn't even want to stop for bathroom breaks. Which is very odd since we usually stop at least 2 or 3 times :scared1: just on the way to ga, which is only a 4 hr trip. We arrived in orlando at around 3:30p.m. We only had to stop for gas 1x and the bathroom 1x, wow that was amazing.
We checked into our hotel and went to do some shopping. We went over to the character store at the buena vista outlet. We were not very impressed with this store. We then headed to dtd.

I of course went in and got our food. I then on the way out dropped 1 of our drinks and had to send my husband back into refill it. What a great start to a vacation.
We then decided to head over and get some mickey ears. I thought it would be great to make some personal ones. Here are a few pictures of the hats.

This is Seth. This is not the hat he got, but threw out the trip loved tring on hats when ever we went into a store. He only wore his hat that very first night. Note the shirt he is wearing: can you tell what it says?

As you can tell from this picture my hubby even wore his mickey ears. He was one of the ones wanting to get them. I personally could have cared less, but I played along and go some. Stay tuned to see just how long I wore those mickey ears and what my big addiction I have now is. :rolleyes1

I just realized my son is not wearing his mickey ears in this last picture which was the first night. Wow they didnt last as long as I thought they would.
