My family is planning a disney cruise for next Feb 16, we will be going on the 4 night 5 days bahama cruise and we are first time cruisers, me, my husband and almost 7 year old daughter, anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

When we get to the ports can you just sit back and relax on the beach and do alittle shopping? How is the entertainment aboard ship? have any of you ever had second thoughts about leaving your kids at the activities they have aboard ship, I am a little freaked about leaving my daughter with strangers in a strange place, I probably am more worried than she would be!

Any information is appreciated as I stated we are first time cruisers and have no clue what to expect.

Thank you everone.

Glad to hear you are going on DCL! It is fabulous.
My dh and I have cruised three times (1 3nt and 2 4nts) and we really have enjoyed every minute of our time.

The entertainment on the ship is awesome, especially Disney Dreams..so don't miss it! :)

We do not have kids, so I cannot speak for the programming first hand, but I hear it is great! And Disney service is exceptional, so don't worry.

As for the ports, they offer excursions to the beaches, etc or you can do that on your own.

Keep on these boards and you will get great information. And feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Also, check out Barb & Tony's site www.*****************
They have been on over 20 Disney Cruises and they REALLY know everything! LOL!!! :)

Hope this helps!

Our first cruise was the 4 night also. Our son is a very shy person, so we too were worried about his reaction. He had a wonderful time! Iin fact, we are going again next Dec. I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but you are given a beeper, and if your daughter should need you at anytime, she can have one of the care givers beep you; maybe that we give you "peace of mind."
Have a wonderful time, and keep reading all the posts, I found them very helpful.
