Hi everybody!
If it's possible, I am now even more excited about this trip! Part of my job is to go on fams (familiarization trips) to certain locations: Disney, Grand Canyon, Universal... I applied to go on a Universal fam for 9/13-9/16. Well...
I got approved! Awesome! I was looking over the itinerary and we get to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel. I'm super excited about that because it looks amazing and I've never stayed there, only Royal Pacific. We get tours of each resort and a VIP tour of the parks. And we get to see the Blue Man Group! I've always wanted to see them!!
So I get to go to Universal from 9/13-9/16, work the 17th and 18th, and then leave to make the trip down to Disney on the 19th! I basically have half the month off! :rotfl:

WOO!!! So happy to hear you're staying at WL. :woohoo: It's such a gorgeous place...well, the pictures are at least. Can't wait to see it in person next month!!
Congrats on getting the Universal trip approved. That sounds like fun! I've always wanted to stay at HRH. I need a job like that!! What do you do for a living (if you don't mind me being nosy)?

The pictures I've seen of it are stunning. I can't wait to see it in person either!
Thanks! I'm a travel agent. Companies set up trips for TAs to 'get to know' their products. It's an awesome perk!

I've been there twice but I don't mind "having" to go again! :rotfl:

HRH looks AMAZING. I've stayed at Royal Pacific and have only seen the outside of HRH. From what I've seen of the decor (pictures), I'm sure I'll love it. :)

I just looked up that TA deal again because I was thinking of Stormalong Bay. I hear it's awesome. Beach and Yacht Club, I can get either for about $100 less than I'm paying at WL, waterview room. I'm leaning more toward the Beach Club. I haven't changed anything yet though.
Feedback?
You guys are probably really sick of me changing resorts. :rotfl2: I know I should just pick a resort and stick to it already! :rotfl:

but werént you reallly looking forward to the WL? i know you were originally lookinat at WL after the cruise, then went for the AKL, then were over the moon when you got WL. i´d say stick to what your heart says, go for WL!
last year i started with a poly reservation, changed to the CR for the view, then changed to the AKL and dont regret it at all, i love the AKL. if you really love the WL, i´d say go for the WL. then again, could you do a split stay?

Thanks Karen. I do love the way WL looks but when I was talking to Joe (we were discussing what his top 3 resort wishes were) WL wasn't in it! :scared1: AKV is. I'm thinking of keeping the reservation the way it is because he has one that he really wants and one that I really want.
As for BC, the pool and the location were the big selling points on that.

I vote Beach Club! That is where we are staying too! Stormalong Bay was one of our main reasons for choosing that resort to being with and the location to Epcot

I really like the theming at WL. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw the pictures. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the room decor.
Having said that, Beach Club is a great location, I love the theming and decor, and the pool is supposed to be amazing. Plus, my DBf has never stayed there and told me Wed that BC or YC is one of his top 3 places he would like to stay.
Hmmmm....

YES! Is it considered a DIS meet if it's in Universal? :rotfl: I can't wait to see the new HP land. I'm going to be BUGGING them constantly about it when we go on the VIP tour.

That's right! I forgot you guys were staying there. I'm thinking about it. I've switched so many times already lol.

Jen, I just responded over on the Cruise thread. I would def. do Beach Club. All of the things you wrote are true, and the rooms are a little bigger at BC as well. The pools are awesome! You can always go have a meal at WL and spend a while walking around there. BC is more convenient because of the walking to DHS & Epcot...I really just love the BC!! LOL, one of my faves!! :goodvibes

Lol, I just responded to your response on the cruise thread. I'm really thinking about switching (AGAIN) because I can get a villa there for less money than WL. I like the idea of having a kitchen because we were planning on brining breakfast food and a washer/dryer comes in handy. I can always throw a load in while I'm at the parks. And you really can NOT beat the location. Everytime I've walked around the Boardwalk area I've started longingly over in the BC and YC direction. :rotfl:

FALSE ALARM GUYS! Lol. I wasn't factoring dining into the price. It would cost more. Way more. I knew something seemed too good to be true!
I know the decision has already been made but.. I just wanted to add my two cents..
You would LOVE WL!! Plus, you'll have just spent time on the cruise (beachy) and the BC is beachy.. honestly, that's just a lot of beach, IMO (but hey, I'm from FL :rotfl2:). I think a change of scenery and pace would be more fun. Get more Disney bang for your buck by soaking up two different vibes- Beach (thanks Cruise!) and WL.
Glad you're sticking with WL!! :thumbsup2

Good point, Rora. LOL. I will have PLENTY of the beach on my cruise! There are just so many great resorts to choose from, I can't make up my mind. No more, I'm sticking with WL. It's where I really wanted to stay in the first place.

That's AWESOME!!! :thumbsup2 I have a non-Disney question for you. How long did it take you to get your "travel degree"? I LOVE to travel and would like to get this on top of my Master's in Education -- where do you get it from? Is it hard to get? TIA!!! :goodvibes
PS - You're vacation is turing out to be amazing, have lots of fun. We'll be at Disney just after you (9/25-10/2) to celebrate our DD's 1st Birthday!!!

Hi! I actually didn't have to go to travel school get a travel degree. I applied and got hired and went through the training via my company. :) They have seperate training you can do with Disney, Universal, different hotel chains, etc. When you graduate the Disney College of Knowledge you get a Mickey Ear Grad hat!
Thanks! I hope you have a GREAT vacation as well! Where are you staying??

We can do a DIS meet for HP land! :thumbsup2
I can see where people could say it's not as baby-friendly. There is a kid's area in each park: Dr. Seuss and Woody Woodpecker's Kid Zone. But overall...not so much. The gripe I have about Universal is that they have people who walk around and try to get you to participate in market research for random things. It's really annoying!

Quick question ladies:
Does anyone have a Vera Bradley bag? I was looking at the mini-hipster because I can get it for a great price. What will fit in there exactly? I really only need my camera, cash, KTTW card, and maybe some sunblock and my wallet & passport for when I have to check-in on the cruise. I was looking at the regular hipster and I think that may just be too big to lug around day after day.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

Hey Jenny! I bought a mini-hipster back in the spring. I LOVE it!! :goodvibes I've carried it around quite a bit, and I can fit my camera, pen/paper, IDs, cash, chapstick, and gum. You may or may not be able to carry your wallet depending on how big it is. Your passport will for sure fit though. I'm going to buy a regular hipster too and just pick which one to take based on where we're going and what I'll need that day. I love my Mini Hipster though! Here's a pic of mine:

I have too many Vera Bags. I have the old Hipster (it's bigger than both the mini and the hipster that's out now) and I can fit my life into it- plane tickets, KTTW, camera, wallet, passport, iPod, etc.
From what I've heard and what I know about Vera, you'll be able to fit everything you need in the mini, but if you're worried, go to a place that sells them, bring all your stuff and see how it fits!
Good luck! They are having an exclusive online sale- check it out!

Thanks for the feedback! Basically what you described is what I'll need to carry around the park. As for the port, I'm thinking I'm only going to need my passport and I'm going to be carrying around a tote anyway for my FE gifts so...I don't think I need to go big. I think I'm going to get the Riviera Blue pattern. It's on sale for $16!

I think I'm going to go with the mini. If I have expendable cash before the trip, I'll get the hipster too. Why not? ;) As of right now though, the mini is just what I need.

Be careful, Vera Bradley is incredibly addictive!! I started out with the "Little Besty" and then it spiraled out of control. :rotfl: I now have three bags. My idea was to just go online and get one for our trip. :rolleyes1

Ok, we got four for the DIS HP trip! :) When I go out to Universal for work, I'm going to snap as many pictures as they allow (if any!) of the HP area. And ask a million questions. Promise.
I never noticed Vera Bradley bags before I joined the DIS. Now I see them EVERYWHERE! I have one of the mini-zip wallets and now I'm branching out to the bag. :rotfl:

I knew you'd be in, Lynn! lol
I think I'm going to make my first VB bag purchase next week! :rotfl:
Ok, we got four for the DIS HP trip! :) When I go out to Universal for work, I'm going to snap as many pictures as they allow (if any!) of the HP area. And ask a million questions. Promise.
You need to get a hidden camera and put it somewhere on you so even if they won't let you take pictures, you'll be sneaky and still get them!! ::yes::

I'll try! I was there in November and saw a little of what was done but it didn't look like much. I'm hoping things look a little more like Hogwarts by now!

Hey girl, its the crazy travel girl!! :lmao: Sorry:rolleyes:
I love your PTR and omg its almost 1 month until you get to go.. I can't believe how close my bf's and I trip is!! October!!!:yay:
Sorry I am so late jumping into your thread, I have read it all up until now but never posted: *The Wildnerness Lodge* I can't sell that place enough, theres not enough words to decribe how wonderful and great the resort is.
That by far is my favorite resort, in fact:idea: last July 2008, my boyfriend and I stayed there... OMG SO romantic!!! It was for his 21st bday.. we couldn't afford the "courtyard view" of the pool and everything, so I called them for the next best thing.. believe it or not you can actually get a view from your hotel/porch to see the contemporary and the castle .. its kinda through the trees but still an AWESOME and cool kept secret.. we were on the 6th floor (the highest floor) and had a wonderful view of Wishes fireworks and saw the monorail coming out of the Contemp. pretty neat.. but it was so nice because I called up explaning it was his bday and they gave us that view.. room was also immediately available upon arrival too!!! :cool1: sooo awesome!
But anyways--I fell in love w/ this resort going here as a kid growing up and then eventually when my parents got the DVC we stayed at the villas.. another amazing part of WL!
I love that place so much.. that the first night I arrived in Orlando.. for the Disney College Program.. I had my car.. so after unpacking in my apartment I drove over to WL and had dinner LOL!! by myself.. haha..
Theres not enough to say about that place.. and its def. my boyfriends and I's favorite resort next to the Animal Kingdom Lodge..(its very similiar too in some ways.. thats why I think we love it because of the connection the 2 have)..
But all in all.. WL awesome.. mainly because its def. romantic and great for couples! It was so hard going there when I did the college program because couldnt stand how romantic it was and how bad I wanted to find *MY* prince charming.. well all my dreams came true.. after I finished the college program from May 2006-August 2006,I returned home and met my wonderful boyfriend and future husband. and it will be our 3 years anniver. October 22, 2009!:)

Hey girl! Welcome to my PTR! :)
I absolutely fell in love with WL as soon as I saw the pictures of it. From what everyone has said about it, I'm SO glad I picked it. I love the decor of the lobby and the pool area looks beautiful. I've heard nothing but good things about WCC (we have a breakfast ADR there the morning of the cruise! :yay:). I love that it's right on the lake so we can take the water taxi over to MK. I prefer that over the buses even though it may take a little longer. And we have a sea raycer voucher that I definitely want to use at that resort! We've never rented one of those before so it should be interesting. Hope I don't go overboard. :rotfl:
I have to call up and request inner courtyard view. I've heard that some of them are views of the villas. I wouldn't mind that but I just like the pool area a lot and would like to have a room overlooking that.
Didn't the same guy who designed WL design AKL? I guess I picked the two resorts that are everyone's favorites! LOL.
I can't wait!

Are you and your boyfriend going to Disney for your 3 year anniversary? :)
Hey!! Yes thats one of the "What will you be celebrating" lol :rotfl: celebrations that are going on for our stay *October 29-November 5, 2009*
Our 3 year anniversary is October 22, 2009, so thats close enough haha about7 days--so we will be celebrating it down there!:yay:
Also-October 31(Halloween) is my 24th birthday!! :woohoo: LOL
This is our 3rd Disney trip together--our first trip was Sept. 2007-All Star's..our 2nd trip was July 2008 Wildnerness Lodge and now our 3rd trip(so far Port Orleans French Quarter-but most likely we'll have to downgrade because of $$ to All Stars-no biggie I love it there too!)
hmm and ohhh yesss...:lovestruc..I hope this is when hes popping the question hehe.. I know its coming I just dont know when.. it might not happen for $$ reasons(this October) etc. We already talked about our date.. 12/22/12(Saturday too!)... because 22 is for our anniver. we thought it would be so romantic to have a XMAS time wedding, we would get married on Sat. 12/22 and we would remain home for XMAS and New Years and do our DisneyMoon in January 2013, right after New Years! we thought that was a great idea...
I am also a certified wedding planner and so let me tell you I have all my plans already.. for example we will do a XMAS tree for where people will bring their gifts and place them under.. on that xmas tree it will be mainly Disney themed along with firefighting theme as well! I'm still trying to think of something for our "card" box.. so yeah thats just PART of all my plans hehe well our plans... :upsidedow
But OMG i am sooooo excited.. and really its closer than we think.. when we started planning LAST July LOL right after our trip we thought "OMG its gonna take forever to get to next October 2009.." now its like 2 months away.. and I almost want a TAD more time because I need more $$ haha!

Awesome! My birthday is October 5th. Our trip is right before it. I wanted to go on my birthday but since we wanted to do DCL, it didn't really work out that way. Oh well. I'll celebrate a couple weeks early. ;)
I love the idea you have for your wedding! The christmas tree/wedding gift idea is great! I'm going to have to hire you when (and if lol) I get married. :) Did you ever try to get a job doing that?
I know what you mean about the trip just creeping up on you. I booked in Sept of 08 and can't believe it is now less than 2 months away!
I think I'm going to purchase the mini-hipster today! The one I saw is in Riveria Blue. It's discounted because I guess it's a "retired" color. I'll post it later!
I read your PM. I'm waiting to answer til I get home because my resume is on that computer. I'm on my work computer at the moment!

Hey!! Ha were both at work right now.. :rolleyes1 except I'd rather be where YOU are haha  I would so LOVE to help you with your wedding when you get married, just let me know! :) OMG girl i've tried everything to do with weddings in my area, its soo hard.. when I took the Wedding Planner Certification course it was EXCELLENT! They advised if we wanted to start on our OWN work for ourselves, it would literally cost $6,000 to start a business-thats only a start-up amount! :scared1: That would be do-able if I didn't have school loans, car loans etc! But I would LOVE to do Weddings for a living.. my goal is IF me and my boyfriend can ever afford to move to Orlando/Disney.. I would love to work for the Wedding Pavillion at the Grand Flo', having my wedding certificatino would be GREAT for me to get in ALSO because I am a past cast member and I am elidgible for rehire. So thats an option!
I REALLY appreciate you sending me that later, I'll check my messages tonight.. like I said if its easier to send it to my email you can : WeddingGirLKatie@yahoo.com
Thanks! Have a great rest of the day at work.. ill be floating on here til I get out at 4pm.. lalala :tiptoe:

That'd be AWESOME if you got a job at the Wedding Pavillion. You'd be in your glory. :) I eventually want to move to Florida too someday but I don't have the funds right now. Plus the job market down there is terrible.
I get my Vera Bradley bags right off the site. They are having a sale right now. I can get the mini hipster for under $25!
I will definitely send you the resume later on tonight!

I work in a travel agency and got a TA discount for WL. It basically slashed the price of the ticket and the room rate in half. I happened to see it on Disney's TA website and jumped on it. I just had to pay the difference of the package I orginally had (staying at POR) and the new package. It wasn't much! I wish it were something for the general public but unfortunately, it's not. :guilty:

Aw, sorry! I'll pack some soup up and send it your way. I don't know how good it will be once you get it but it's the thought that counts right? :rotfl: My family wants me to box up the pierogies from the Poland station! :rotfl2: We'll see about that one!
What a lovely idea!! I would love to get some soup in the mail!! I wonder why there aren't TONS of mail order soup companies?! I'm sure they'd make TONS of money!!

We are at the 52 day mark! I figured I'll start posting my daily plans since August is right around the corner! :yay: Tomorrow I can say 'I'm going to Disney next month!'
We'll be driving into Florida from NJ (:scared1:). No big deal, we've done the drive before. We're going to be starting out on Sept 19th in the morning, I'm thinking around 8 or 9. We'll be driving down to the outskirts of Savannah, GA which is about a 11-12 hour ride. We have a reservation at a Fairfield Inn near the Savannah Airport. I'm hoping to get there by 10pm, 11 the absolute latest. We'll get some much needed zzzzzz's and then....OFF TO DISNEY!
DISNEY DAY 1
Savannah is about a 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive from Disney. I'm hoping to leave the hotel in the 8 am - 9 am range and make it to Disney World by 1.
We'll check into the Wilderness Lodge  and if the room is ready, go and check it out, maybe do a little unpacking. I want to walk around the hotel a bit, find Humphrey and rub his nose for pixie dust, maybe grab a quick lunch and take pictures. Then it will be off to...
DHS!
I'm hoping to get there by 3 so we can catch the Pixar parade but we have two days planned here so if we miss it that day, we'll see it the other. We have dinner reservations at Sci-Fi at 5:40 and later we'll be going to see Fantasmic. I haven't seen it in a couple years so I'm looking forward to it!
If we're not too exhausted, MK has EMH that night til midnight and we'll be swinging by there. If not, we're going to try to get back to WL to see the Water Pageant Parade. I've never seen it!
Then it's off to bed to rest up for the early wake up call the next morning! Stay tuned...:)

Exactly! You have to keep busy if you want to see (almost) everything!
Jenny, I am so excited about this trip (I feel like I'm going too!)!!!!
Your plan looks great but you're going to be pooped. Sleep in the car! :)
Wow, the trip is so soon--let me know if you still want to get together while you're in my home state!! I'll be about 1 1/2 hours away.

We're always tired when we do Disney but we jam-pack our days there. We're used to it!
If you want to meet up, me and my tablemates are going to Ohana's for dinner around 8:30 the night of the 21st. We made two reservations. So far there are 8 of us going. We're also planning on going to Jellyroll's on the 23rd. Let me know if you want to come along! That'd be fun!

Hey Girl!!! Everything sounds great so far.. Ohhhh dont worry me and my boyfriend are driving as well!! we did this back in September 2007 as well-not a big deal either!! I love I-95 (minus traffic in DC and stupid construction) that was the thing to do back in the day .. drive down.. hit the rest stops and welcome centers and "South Of the Border".. haha. We flew last July 2008.. let me tell you I'm not the flying not.. never ever... and 9-11 made it worse!:sad1: But yeah I didnt care for our flight DOWN or BACK outta Philly last year.. first off our 8:20am flight ended up being a 10:20am flight cuz get this.. they needed a "MISSING/BROKEN PART" for the door of the plane.. yeaaah ok that makes me feel sooo good:lmao: so they delayed our 1st day at Disney.. and on our flight home.. we are sitting on the runway at MCO and they said we are "sitting on the runway for a brief time due to lightening in the area" and let me tell you there was a NASTY NASTY storm.. well 5 mins later we go to take off.. I started freaking out and squeezing my DBF's hand because that storm didnt move an inch and still yet there was lightening all around.. well we had an awful flight home.. anyways thats my story haha sorry!!!!!
Back to your details so far.. everything sounds good!!!
I keep forgetting your only a state away neighbor!!! in NJ! i'm in PA! :goodvibes haha.... i look forward to reading more!!!!
So far I didn't get a call back from the store manager, Carol, of AAA Phillipsburgh, like I said I left her a voicemail saying I filled the online application along w/ my resume attached.. and if theres anything else I can do I said, please give me a call.. I said I would love to come out to the store and meet her and personally drop off a "paper" resume.. so hmm we'll see.. im worried..

Hi! This will be the 3rd time we're driving down to Disney. The first time, we drove straight through. Never again. Second time we stopped on the way down but not on the way back. This time we're stopping both ways! We've learned! :rotfl: I really don't mind the drive. It's an extra day but it's must more cost efficient!
I'm not a fan of flying either. I have to have a pre-flight drink if I do. Not really a great idea if I have to fly out at 8 am or some other ridiculously early time. :rotfl2: I would have been REALLY freaked out if I was in that lightning storm!! :scared1: And a MISSING PART? Oh, hell to the no! I would have been looking for a car at that point!
Maybe just stop in the Phillipsburg office when you have time? Couldn't hurt, right?

Yeah thats so true about cost efficient with the economy the way it is.. so that is exactly why we are driving-that the cost of roundtrip tickets haha.. and of course because WE correction *I* hate flying.. my boyfriend LOVES it !! :rotfl:
Yeah I'll probably end up stopping in for a "follow-Up" nah.. cant hurt at all.. I'll prob wait a 'week' so i'll prob go in around Weds/Thurs time?

The cost of flying is ridiculous. Last year I paid $130 for roundtrip airfare and didn't have to worry about baggage fees. This year it's over $200 each round trip, plus baggage fees, plus transportation from the hotel to the port. No thanks!
Let me know how it goes!!! Good luck!

Since we're now in August and I can say 'I'm going to Disney next month!' :yay: I decided to post my Day 2 plans to celebrate. :) 49 days to go!
Disney Day 2
This will be an early wake up day. We have a breakfast ADR at 8:10 for...the Tusker House! I'm looking forward to this a lot. I've never done a character breakfast before and since Donald is one of my favorites...I chose this one! It's one of the few opportunities to see Daisy as well.
After breakfast, we'll be spending the day at Animal Kingdom of course. We'll probably do Kilamanjaro first and then head over to Everest, then walk around and do the other rides/attractions and probably see Lion King and Nemo if we have time. Lunch will be counter service but I'm not sure where yet. I'm not familiar with the CS places in AK. I think Yak & Yeti has a CS place next to the main restaurant, so maybe there. Or the new picnic in the park option they have. Any suggestions?
We'll probably be leaving AK around 3 or 4 and head back over to WL. I want to swim for awhile and hang out & relax. We have a dinner ADR at Ohana's for 8:20 with my tablemates on the cruise. It's our pre-pre-cruise meet. ;) I'm sure we'll be exhausted after this day so it's off to bed to prepare for another jam-packed Disney day! :)

Day 2 sounds great--you'll love the Tusker House! As for the Counter Services in the AK, I would suggest from my BF's and I's experience:
->Pizzafari
->Restaurantosaurus
->Flame Tree BBQ
All those are counter services, and I have eaten at each of them 100 times haha! between when I worked there in 2006 and when my BF and I went on vaca.
Out of all of those I would suggest Pizzafari--the least crowded, Restaurantorsaurus gets INSANE at lunch time haha.. esp. since they sell McDonald's feature items such as the chicken nuggets and fries... so alot of families come in there.. Flame Tree BBQ def. good as well! So thats a tough choice :confused3

great first 2 days! we're trying tusker house too on our AK day... :) can't wait!
Love Day 2!!!
It looks like it will be a bit more relaxing and you have some nice ADRs in there! Please please please get a picture with of Donald and Daisy. This is the only place where they can be found together in a resturant! Plus, I'd love to see them in their safari clothes! Cute!
As far as counter service goes, I would try picnic in the park! It looks fun and more relaxed. But you can do no wrong with the counter service at AK!

I was thinking of picnic in the park, if they dropped it down to 2 people. I believe when they first rolled it out it was 3 CS credits. I'll have to check on that.

LOVED them all!!!
PS-how yah doing Jenny--omg so far one of my references that I put down for the job I had that interview for the other day.. Strayer.. she said she got a call!! I'm just wondering if hes waiting on the results of that-which are beyond clean and clear! haha.. but this reference person was called yesterday morning--this guy is KILLING ME with waiting in suspence! LOL I keep staring at my phone at work-obviously not answering it HERE :lmao: LOL but hoping to see that magic # and listen to the voicemail.. my suspense is unreal!!!!!
Since tomorrow will be 1 week from the interview.. is it a "good" idea to call and follow-up or email? or should I let it ago at least til the end of this week...

My whole hiring process took about 2 weeks. I went for 2 interviews in the span of a week and then was called and said I had the job, pending my background check and references were good. If he's already checking these things then I would give it til the end of the week for a phone call. If he doesn't get back to you by then, call for a follow-up. It shows your interested and it puts him on the spot. :rotfl: I hope you get it! It seems like it's headed that way!

Disney Day 3
After a good night's rest at WL, we'll be waking early again to get to rope drop at DHS. Gotta do TSM! Half the day will be spent here, doing things we didn't get to do on day 1. Since DBf is a huge Toy Story fan, we're going to have lunch at Pizza Planet. :) If we didn't see the Pixar parade on Day 1, we'll see it this day and then head over to...
MAGIC KINGDOM!
My favorite park of all. :) Last trip, we went to this park once a day! I will never get sick of it.
Anyway, tonight is the night for MNSSHP! I am so excited about this. I've never been before and I'm looking forward to the parade, Hallowishes, candy, and photo ops with the characters in costume!
We'll probably eat at Pecos Bill's or Cosmic Ray's that night. Pecos Bill's is tradition and I've never been to Cosmic Ray's! I've heard good things though. One thing we have to do, what we always do, ride Splash Mountain and BTMRR during the day and then again late at night. Two totally different experiences!
I think I'm most excited about this day. :)
After the party, I'm sure we'll be EXHAUSTED so it's back to WL and off to dreamland!
45 days to go!!!

YAY girl only 45 days to go!!!!!:yay:That is soo exciting.. my boyfriend and I have been finalizing our dining plans!!! Everything is pretty set! Other than that.. nice update on the MK day!
Hows work going?? Have alot of Disney clients? :earsboy:
Sorry I keep talking about this consistently .. only because I have been working my BUTTTTT off to get myself a job( i know i know, tons of people have been telling me to be HAPPY i have a job!) but no.. unfortuantely i'm not one of those people who can adapt to just having a "job" I need something I enjoy doing and thats "ME" i dont have to LOVE my job lol but still... its hard to explain..
BUT update:
so far no call back from that interview I had on Weds. 7/29.. he said he would def. contact me next week.. which now today is Friday 8/7:sad1: ... SO the only good thing from this week was hearing from one of my references who emailed me saying the guy called on Monday 8/3... so I kindly called and left a very nice and short message and asked for a return call.. so far no call back.. i'll be worried by the end of today that I dont have it:(
But see I have mixed up and down roller coaster feelings about this: maybe hes now waiting JUST on my background check.. AND maybe since he hasn't called me to tell me the position is filled, i should have a chance.. but then again he hasnt even called when he SAID he would on top of not returning my voicemail...:guilty:
soo.. on top of that I made a 2nd call to AAA and the office manager of Phillipsburgh( i know i know I keep saying I go personally and I probably will--unfortunately i had to get 4 brand new tires on my car and just i'm insanely busy).. it kinda stinks because I hope that wouldn't make a big difference.. I have left 2 voicemails on the managers vmail.. and i applied via online with my resume and the job is still listed.. so who knows:confused3
I apologize for ranting on about this Jenny and to the others reading.. this job change is a HUGE thing for me right now and very important to me that I get another job.. so its kinda hard to understand why i'm whining so much haha.. sorry
but yay! cant wait to read more... i'm so excited for you ... having only 40 some days!!!:woohoo:

Work is ok. It's been quiet this week. We'll probably pick up more closer to Labor Day. We were insanely busy in the weeks surrounding the 4th of July. I hope it picks up, I need to make my quotas!
I have lots of Disney clients who I am corresponding via email with. I have 5 families traveling this month and a new client who wants to book a vacation for next summer. She wanted a quote on the Villas but I can't get to that information yet cause it's DVC only right now. I don't think the client understands the difference between resort and villas, that they are two separate things. :confused3
That is so frustrating that no one is giving you an answer!! It sounded promising that he called a reference but did he fall off the face of the earth after that?? Maybe he's been busy in meetings or out of the office. I really hope you hear back soon, from either of the places. It's hard work finding a new job, especially with everything going on right now. I know it wil pay off for you though.
You can vent all you want! Don't apologize! It's ok to hijack my thread ;), I do it to other people's. I highjacked Lynn's with the whole NSYNC/BSB war. :rotfl:

AWW thanks girl!:goodvibes I appreciate again the kind words and thoughts and definitley POSITIVE thinking haha... because I am loosing that quite fast :sad2: You couldn't have put it better about falling off the face of the earth! Thats pretty much what happened--Mon. 8/3 was good YAY getting an email from the one person I had as a reference.. she even said " I know you will do well and don't let me down!" but yeah .. ever since then..downhill.. nada, nothing.. so i'm trying to relax LOL hopefully hes out of the office-though when I left him a voicemail around 3pm yesterday he said he was in the office, but not able to get to his phone. Like I said maybe its the background check holding it up... :confused3
OMG! Your so right about people not understanding the difference between the RESORT and VILLAS. Like the Wilderness Lodge--they have villas etc. But yeah you'll pick up.. esp. now with the new offers out for Disney to use between now and XMAS time..
hey girl I would TOTALLY use you to help plan and guide us through the AAA process:upsidedow.. to bad we don't live closer or in Jersey..
Hmm other than that.. yesss I totally remembered the BSB/NSYNC discussion that was awesome! LOL I posted that pic of me my boyfriend and Brian Littrell .. and the recent BSB interaction I had was a concert in October 2008that was INSANELY awesome.. although no more Kevin:sad1:

Don't know what's going on in your case, but I've learned that companies definitely don't have the same "schedule" during an interview process as you will.
Back in 2006, I had phone interviews with Disney Corporate and between phone calls, it felt like an eternity elapsed. The process from first reply to my resume submission and the actual job offer ended up being almost exactly 2 months.
So...hang in there!!

Days 2 and 3 look GREAT!!! :thumbsup2
As far as CS restaurants in AK go, we're going to either Pizzafari (I hear the sandwiches and breadsticks are great and the pizza is pretty good) or the new picnic option (now that they have it for 2 people). I ate at Flame Tree BBQ in 06, and it was really good, but something about BBQ and heat didn't settle right with me....
You will LOVE MNSSHP!!! :goodvibes It is so much fun! I can't wait to hear how much you both love it.
We're getting SO close! Great plans!!

Keep your chin up! :goodvibes Sending positive vibes your way! The process can seem like it takes forever sometimes. I thought for sure I wasn't going to get the job now because I didn't hear back right away but I did. Think happy thoughts. :)

6 weeks to go! Hopefully, at this time I will be checking into WL or very close to getting there, since we're driving. 5 weeks until I'm at Universal for "work." ;) I'll be lounging at the HRH, waiting until everyone else for the fam gets in. I put together my FEs for the cruise. I'm not going to say what I put in them because some people from my cruise thread read this. But it's lots of little fun things I picked up and I hope everyone likes them! I think they're cute. :) Anyway...
DISNEY DAY 4!
So this day is....Epcot Day! We have the waterpark option on our ticket and I really want to do the waterparks and haven't decided if we'll go to Blizzard Beach this morning. I'm leaning more toward no since we have a 2 pm ADR for Le Cellier! I'm so excited about this because I've heard GREAT things about that restaurant. Originally, I could not get a reservation at all but last week I checked (thanks again Karen!) and was able to get a reservation. I would have preferred dinner but hey, beggars can't be choosers right? I'm happy to be going at all.
This will be day 1 of Epcot since we're planning on a day post-cruise to check out the F&WF. This day we'll start out in Future World, do our favorites: TestTrack, Soarin, Nemo, Spaceship Earth, and whatever else we have time for before lunch. After lunch we'll do the rest and hang out around World Showcase and take pictures and sample margaritas. ;) I'm thinking about doing dinner at Sunshine Seasons and then getting some ice cream at Beaches n Cream.
After that, we'll be meeting up with our cruise tablemates again for some fun and drinks at Jellyrolls! I've never been here so I'm really looking forward to it. I love dueling piano places! I think I must have gone to Pat O'Brien's in Universal last year every night! So I'm sure this will be tons of fun. :) After that, we'll head back over to Epcot and hang out for EMH. Then it will be back to WL for our last night there :guilty: but the next day we're CRUISIN! :cool2:

I've heard you can request songs and try to stump the pianists. I'm a big NKOTB fan so I'll probably be requesting those songs! Or maybe U2! I've been waiting for them to tour again for 4 years and when they're in my area...I'll be in Florida! :sad2: Can't be too upset though, I'll be cruising to the Bahamas that night!
I'm good today! I have a cold so this weekend, I've just been hanging out. I'm re-reading the Harry Potter series. I got halfway through the first book yesterday. :rotfl:

I always liked the Harry Potter movies but I only REALLY got into it last year. I bought the whole set of books and read them over the summer. After that, I was obsessed. I've read Twilight too. They're ok. They don't compared to Harry! I think I'm one of the few girls who cannot stand Edward Cullen! Rob Pattinson is cute but the character himself...UGH.
I watched some of Nemo yesterday too! I saw it was on ABC. :) That's my favorite Pixar movie.
I hope you hear from a job prospect tomorrow!!!!!! Good vibes :goodvibes

sorry to help answer the question Lynn.. but Beaches and Cream is SOOO YUMMY!! its such a CUTE little place.. its very small inside. but a great atmosphere. its so fun.. reminds you a little of the 50's prime time cafe... we would always eat there growing up.... last year my bf and I tried going but got stuck in Epcot because of lightning. haha.. we thought it be a nice walk to the back of Epcot out and over to Y&B.. but yeh def. give it a try either to eat and ice cream. or even just ice cream... you can do 2 things.. you can sit down.. its table service.. or sit at the cute "soda fountain bar" area.. OR they have a line JUST for takeout.. its so romantic to go order some ice cream at the take out at night.. take it somewhere along the water on the benches.. or anywhere around the pool area its soo beautiful and peaceful at night!:lovestruc

Lynn-it would probably be so nice for you and your husband because you can look over to the spot where you got married from the shore at Y&B Club.. over to SBP.. and the Boardwalk.. I think they still have that rocking bench/chair on the beach front and definitley hammocks..

That's part of the reason I want to go there, the 50's theme. I love anything 50's inspired (loooove Johnny Rockets and Grease is one of my favorite movies EVER :rotfl:). I looked up the menu and everything looks YUMMY! I want to do exactly that: get ice cream and walk around the area. I've walked around the boardwalk side before but have never seen Y&B up close.
:rotfl:
Bahaha maybe we could have everyone who hijacked Lynn's thread go and have a dueling boy band piano bar!! :lmao:
And I need to re-read the books. I read the first five and a half (never finished the 6th). I just finished watching all the movies though. Finally saw the 6th! It was quite interesting because I remembered some stuff but then towards the end, it was all new!! lol
I'm not obsessed with either, but I enjoy both and will see all the movies. I've read all of Twilight and already explained which HP I've read ;)

I know!!! We're going to be there in 6 weeks! Can you believe it??
I will take extra pictures of the cruise because I've never been on DCL! I was looking through old pics last night and found a picture I took on a cruise a few years back. I was on the Norwegian Dawn and we were next to the Disney Wonder in port and I snapped a couple pics of it! :rotfl2: I remember saying 'I want to be on that ship one day!'

DISNEY DAY 5
This is cruise day! :cool2:
We have an 8:45 ADR at WCC this morning. Prior to that we'll be packing up the car and after breakfast we'll check out of WL, get in the car, and head over to the port. I'm hoping to get there around 11:30. I want to at least beat the resort buses there.
Since I've never sailed with DCL before, I plan on spending the waiting time taking pictures of everything in the port. I know the characters come out for photo ops too so hopefully I can get a picture with them. Then it will be time to board the Disney Wonder!
I really don't know what to expect from this day lol. It's all new to me! I know we're going to have lunch of the ship, probably at the buffet so we can be outside. We're meeting up with DISers from our cruise thread meet at 2:30 by the Goofy Pool. We'll hang out, have a Goombay Smash ;), and then get to hear that wonderful horn and off we go!!
I think this is the day I'm most excited about because it's going to be a brand new experience! :yay:

just one??!! lol
sounds like you'll be doing exactly what i did last year, i took stupid amounts of photos of the terminal. just dont do what i did, fill the camera up with terminal and ship photos, then run out of memory at the start of the sailaway party :(
if you get there at 11.30 ish, chances are you wont have much of a wait in the port, they start boarding about 11.45, so by the time you check in you'll be ready to board!!
we're going to head to parrot cay again i think for lunch, i've heard that everyone heads up to deck 9, and BBB gets very crowded and its hard to find a seat. plus we enjoyed having a nice sit down lunch.

Well, more than one...but no one on this thread knows that we're lushes! ;)
I'm sure I'll take pictures but I don't think I'll go overboard (no pun intended). I'm buying two memory cards so I think I'll have more than enough to last the trip. I don't take nearly as many pictures as most of the other DISers!
We'll check out BBB. If it's too crowded, we'll go down to Parrot Cay.
I can't wait!

:yay: They kick you off the ship EARLY and I didn't want to start the drive home that way so I tacked on two extra days after the cruise. :) That way we can get in more of Disney and when the ship docks, it won't be so...final.
The only thing I'm wondering is that I purchased a 7 day ticket with my WL nights...so do I keep using that card after the cruise when I'm staying at AKV? Will it work? I've never done that before lol.

i've posted the same thing below over on the meet thread but not sure which one you will read first so i'll put it in both :)
yes they should be fine for the AKL part. they'll expire 14 days from first use unless you've bought the non expiry option, but as long as you use them within the 14 days you'll be fine. however you will need to use your WL keycards to get access to the parks still, so you'll have to carry round the WL ones for the tickets and the AKL ones to get into your room.
SO EXCITED FOR CRUISE DAY!!
Jenny: this trip is going to be amazing. As a Castaway Cay member (DCL has all of my money and my soul,) I recommend simply NOT having plans on the cruise and just relax. Make sure you do the fun classes, soak up every minute of the Animator's Palate, and spend your time lying by the adult pool.
I'm sure you know this being Ms. Travel Agent and all but you can board the ship before the actual boarding time. :)

I plan on relaxing! I don't have anything super planned. On Nassau Day we're going to go to Atlantis and Castaway Cay, we have the snorkel rentals. I'm looking forward to just hanging by the pool. I don't know about the adult pool though. I like to be in the middle of everything. :)
Nope, I didn't know that! How?

Disney Day 6
So on this day we'll be docking at Nassau, Bahamas. I've been there before and to be honest, I don't really care for it. Too many people trying to sell you things (including drugs). :scared: I was debating on staying on the ship this day but the waterpark at Atlantis was in the back of my mind. I refused to pay the price Disney was asking ($160 per person! :scared1:) but then I found out my cruisemate Mary booked a room at Comfort Suites, across the way from Atlantis. Comfort Suites lets you check in, get a wristband for Atlantis, and then check out all in the same transaction! Doing this was way less expensive than Disney's option so it's off to Atlantis we go! I can't wait to see what it's like, I've only seen it from afar. I hear the waterpark is amazing and I love aquariums so I can't wait to check that out as well. Should be fun! :cool2:
Universal has emailed me the "official" itinerary for my fam. Pretty neat because we get to see Blue Man Group, there is a "social gathering" at Rising Star (the karaoke bar!), we get to eat at Pastamore which I wanted to try last time but it was closed. Everyday starts at 8 am and ends at 9 pm so they're keeping us busy, busy, busy! I'm really looking forward to that as well. :)
But not as much as Disney. :rolleyes1

Universal sounds like it will be a lot of fun!! Good for you!

I've been on a Disney Cruise 3 times and all 3 times we get there at by 11. Typically, they board earlier than they say they will in order to control crazy crowds/lines that would happen if everyone showed up at once.
My future MIL said that the time she tried to board earlier, they wouldn't let her but she was first in line to actually board and was one of the "special families" on board the first day. :thumbsup2
Jenny: Your plan for Day 6 is great!! We rarely get off the boat (nice to enjoy some alone pool time and have the ship to ourselves) but I'd give anything to go to Atlantis!! We weren't willing to pay the Disney price either .

We actually stayed at the Atlantis and wow i couldn't get over the size of it, it's fantastic and had some nice restuarants, when we were there they were actually building more of it so i guess it's even bigger now but I hope you enjoy your day there :)

I switched the post cruise part of my stay AGAIN. :rotfl: I was browsing on the Disney TA website and saw that I could get BCV for the same price I was paying for AKV. Plus, we're planning on going to F&WF so why not stay within walking distance of Epcot? Makes sense right? ;)

Hey girl ! All caught up.. i've been insanely busy...got laid off at my job :yay: I know that isnt a good thing but I HATED it there so much! It honestly did me a favor but in the same time made me unemployed.. the closest thing to getting a travel agent job i've come to is I interviewed for a Cruise Consultant job which also sells Disney Cruise Lines, so I will probably get that job, I had a good interview.. now the person who owns the company wants me to "watch" or "shadow" one day--which is great! So ahh..so much .. !
As for the DCL I believe you are on the Wonder.. my family in fact just was on that until this past Thurs. August 20... its not their fave either. We love the Magic and esp. the Eastern cruise. I couldn't agree with you more not wanting to get off at Nassua .. NOO thank you lol.. its not the best place except for that waterpark as you mentioned, I have no interest in visiting there either!
So hey just wondering do you at AAA as a travel agent book cruises? and are you having to meet goals/quotas and sales? thats what the cruise consultant position is.. so far from what I know I will get hourly PLUS a pull from commission I think... its a little confusing but ill find out more information next week..

Sorry to hear you got laid off but YAY for the cruise consultant job! Yes, we do have quotas and sales goals to make. Basically, we need to do at least 10 bookings a month (which is easy in the busy months...not so much in the slow months) and our commission intake has to equal at least 40% of our base salary. So say base is $30,000; you have to be bringing in at least $12,000 in commission to the company. We get a percentage of that commission. Make sense? If we don't meet these things for 3 months out of a rolling year, we get put on probation. Luckily, that hasn't happened yet! I only had a bad month in January. September will probably be another but I have an excuse as I'll be on vacation for the last two weeks of it!
I'm sure I'll love the Wonder but I'm not all that jazzed about being in Nassau. If it wasn't a Disney cruise, I wouldn't have even bothered!

Well I probably shouldn't be admitting this :rolleyes1 espcially at 25 and considering it was only 4 years ago i went but i owned the film
I lent it to my friend who was also coming just before we went so she could see what it was like at the Atlantis but she still hasn't gave me it back :)
The child in me loves silly cheesy films made for the more younger audiance
I love all that stuff. I actually like a lot of the new Disney shows...Suite Life, Hannah Montana, Wizards...lol! I would never admit it!! I love the older shows too like Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens. I actually love a ton of the kids pop songs on radio disney...they're just so fun! I like the Hannah Montana Ice Cream Freeze song. lol. And old MK&A movies are great. Do you remember Our Lips Are Sealed? Or the waaaaay back one "It Takes Two". Classics! lol
I love cheesy films too! I watch all the made for tv movies on ABC family! :rotfl: I'm watching one of the Bring It On sequels right now. :lmao:
ABC Family has the best stuff. I love that channel!! I have been watching it my whole life. I used to be obsessed with the S Club 7 shows. Did you ever seen the MK&A show, So Little Time? Silly, cheesy shows targeted for younger teens are the best! I wish my life was as crazy random as theirs!

Disney Day 7
I think this could quite possibly be the day I am looking forward to most of all. Why, you ask? Because it's Castaway Cay Day!
I have read so much about how awesome this place is and am looking forward to seeing it all for myself! I plan on being on the island as soon as the ship is cleared. I didn't book any real shore excursions for this day, just the Extreme Getaway package. That includes a stingray feeding, bike rentals, float rental, and snorkeling equipment for the day. I just plan on exploring, taking pictures, laying on the beach, and swimming. I just want to be able to relax and enjoy everything. And maybe get a picture with Jack Sparrow. ;)
26 days to go now! :yay:

Disney Day 8
This is probably going to be one of the more relaxing days. I don't really have anything major planned.
We'll leave the Wonder :guilty: but on our way to BCV! I booked a studio room and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we have a decent view. Something other than a parking lot! We're going to be there on the early side so I'm assuming our room will not be ready. So it's off to Stormalong Bay we go, maybe grab a snack at the pool, and then we'll hit Typhoon Lagoon. Can anyone say Crush n Gusher? Best. Waterslide. Ever.
After the waterpark, we'll come back and relax at BCV for awhile (hopefully our room will be ready!), maybe hang out by the pool again (I hear it's phenomnal!). We have a reservation at Hoop Dee Doo for this night at 7:15. I'm really looking forward to it, I've heard nothing but good things and we have cat 1 seating. :) Plus, Sangria is included!! :rotfl:
After dinner, we'll probably head over to MK for the remainder of EMH. Splash Mountain and BTMRR in the dark are two of my favorite things to do there!
23 days to go! Can you believe it?? :woohoo:
Day 8 is going to be great because you get to RELAX. The BCV pool is truly amazing. Now, you probably will feel a little post-cruise blues but it better only last like one second since you're going back to the World!
I hope you buy a new memory card for your camera. I think I speak for everyone on this PTR when I say we want a TON of pictures!!

Payday was yesterday so next week I'm going to Best Buy to buy a new memory card. I think they're having a 2 for $20 deal. :)
I'm also planning on buying a new computer either right before or right after the cruise so I can upload all my pictures. My comp at home is garbage and I usually rely on Joe's computer to do picture stuff but I know if I don't get the TR going, I'll be hearing it. ;)

It's September!
Can you believe it??? I used to dread September. Summer was over and you had to go back to school. Not anymore! I was so excited to wake up this morning and flip that calendar page over. I'm going to Disney this month! And since we're in the teens today, I thought I'd continue on with my days...
Disney Day 9
Today is Food and Wine Festival day! I'm really excited about this; I've never been there before! I think to start off the day, we're going to hang out at the FABULOUS Stormalong Bay again. Then we'll head over to Epcot since we have a 2pm lunch ADR at San Angel Inn. Honestly, I'm not even sure we'll need it with all the food for the festival! But our plan is to have lunch there, do some rides, and then hit the carts for dinner. On the way back from Epcot, I think I want to stop at Beaches n Cream. The pictures I've seen of their ice cream....wowza! Looks amazing! Kitchen Sink anyone? :rotfl2:
This will be our last full day at Disney. :guilty:
19 days to go!!! :dance3: And only 10 days of work left! ;)
YAY for the F&WF!!! Honestly, you probably won't need that ADR (you're going to be STUFFED!!) but it's good to just keep it.
The food is sooo good at the carts but you need to save room for Beaches n Cream. Seriously. You aren't allowed to come home until you have their ice cream!!
Day 9 is a little bittersweet since it's the last full day but at least you will be ending on a happy, full(!!) note!

It is too early for Christmas, you are right! I went to hobby lobby a week or so ago and they had their FULL Christmas section up. Not just phasing it in, they had aisle after aisle of rows with Christmas trees and wreaths and everything...in a way, I think it makes Christmas season less special when you start it too early, because then it just drags on and on! I love Christmas, but not yet!!
As for Halloween, I'm so excited for it this year! Halloween is Landon's last first holiday!! He was born a month and day after you...November 6th! I had the funniest Halloween last year, I LOVED it.
I went up to a college town here and was the DD for some of my friends. I got so much attention. Everyone thought it was a costume since I was ALL tummy (and it was 5 days before my due date!). I was wearing a dress with a tiara, just because so some people thought I was a pregnant prom queen. Other people thought I was Sarah Palin's daughter. lol. And of course, lots guessed Juno. All the drunk college kids would make such huge deals when I would tell them I was due in less than week, it was hilarious.
Then one of my friends kept trying to get me to hold her drink and I wouldn't because I didn't want anyone to think I was drinking. A little bit later, we go outside and she asks me to hold it so she can put her jacket on and it was cold and I'm nice, so I held it and what do you know? I hadn't even held it 30 seconds before someone comes over and tells me to not drink too much and that it wasn't good for the baby!
I also got pulled over twice that night...apparently I'm a TERRIBLE designated driver! (Though I blame the drunk kids trying to give me directions, saying "turn here! oh wait, don't its the next one!" hence causing my swerving!) And both cops let me go since I pregnant and not drunk! One of them didn't even ask for my license and insurance once he saw my big ol' belly!!
ANYWHO...can't wait for Halloween this year. I'm so glad I get to celebrate it twice. Though MNSSHP is much more exciting than any Halloween plans I could have in CO!

I agree, it's way too early for Christmas. Wait until November at least! When it starts that early, I'm over it by the time the actual holiday rolls around. It's overkill! I get that stores are trying to increase their revenue by putting all the Christmas merchandise out early but seriously...it's September!
:rotfl: at your DD story! I would have guessed Juno. We used to have to dress up for Halloween at my old job; I was a waitress at Houlihans. The last year there I was a french maid. :rotfl2: One year my friend and I were playboy bunnies. I'm still not sure how management let us get away with that one! I want to be a Jabbawockee this year. I'm a big fan of them and they sell a 'costume' on their website. Now if only I could dance like them...

How funny. Usually at my high school like half the female student body would get sent home to change on Halloween. I've never been a Playboy bunny but I'm pretty sure every girl has to be that at least once in their lifetime! Everyone does dress pretty uh..."risque" we'll say ;) I think my most "risque" (LOL) one was Little Red Riding Hood with some stripper boots! This year I have a Tinkerbell costume. I have it packed but don't know if its acceptable to wear to MNSSHP, even though its Disney. Its just as short as my lil red one (maybe even shorter with how its cut at the bottom) and at least lil red had the hood over my shoulders! Tink's is strapless!
A Jabbawockee would be pretty cool! Just tell everyone you're under contract and can't dance without the rest of them! Then you'll be fine!!

I don't see why the Tink costume would be unacceptable...unless they think it would confuse the kids or something. People would be lining up to get their picture taken with you instead!
:lmao: That is a good idea! I should do that...

I got my passport! That was a lot sooner than I expected it. Exactly 3 weeks from when I put in for it. And I didn't even have to pay for expedited shipping. ;)
I also got the swimsuits I ordered from VS in the mail yesterday too! Usually I get bills in the mail lol but yesterday was a good mail day! :)

So, I was coming back from lunch and my co-worker Tracey had a big smile on her face. She held up a little packet and....they were my cruise documents! She loves Disney as much as I do so she wanted to see the expression on my face when they came in. :yay: It makes the trip seem real! I can't believe 3 weeks from now I'll be aboard that fabulous ship! :woohoo:

I just hope it wouldn't be too short!! Its kinda too tight to really wear shorts ya know? But we'll see how I feel! Its packed. And they won't confuse me...my hair isn't blonde!!

I don't think I can post a picture from here. VS is blocked at work. One is black, the top is a bandeau style with a white ring in the center and the bottom is a low rise fold over. The other is a solid lilac low rise bottom and lilac and white polka dot triangle top.
Jenny- so happy you've gotten all your documents and your VS swimsuits (they have the best swimsuits!)!!!
The trip is so sooon, I don't know how you're staying calm!

I'm not! LOL. I woke up this morning, looked at the calendar, and realized I was only 2 weeks away from being there and started jumping up and down. :rotfl: I have 4 days of work this week and then I'm off to Universal for the fam. When I come back from that (and I'm sure it'll fly!), I have 2 days of work left!!! :yay:

Hi, welcome! :) I've changed my trip around even more since I posted that ticker lol. Instead of AKV, it's now BCV. I'm so excited about this trip! It's going to be the best one yet. :yay:

I think I may just post a few pics of Universal. I don't know how many I'm going to take because I know they make you leave your bags in lockers on certain rides so I may not even bring my camera into the park. Who knows if I'll even be allowed to take any of HP?? It seems like everything with that is top secret. :confused3 Our rep doesn't even know anything about it.

Good to know! :thumbsup2 The WL looks beautiful and I'm so excited about BCV because I just love that whole area. And the pool! That was the reason I picked it. :)
