We are taking our second cruise on 8/3 (Western. The first time around we wanted to tour the Kennedy Space Center, but didn't have time with flights and transfers.

This time, we have the whole day when the ship returns and defintely don't want to miss the Space Center.

Has anyone done this? Tips? Recommendations? - all are welcomed and appreciated!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

check out Dave's site - www.dcltribute.com as he has a ton of Space Coast info out there. that should help you when planning.

I think it depends on how old your children are. We took our son when he was 5 and he was bored to death. Even my DH did not enjoy it very much. The only thing that excited my DS was that his day care provider had dated Alan Shepard at one time so he had spoken to him on the phone and then saw a banner type thing that showed his name. IMHO it wasn't worth the money but everyone has their own tastes.

We did the space center in 2000 and all of us enjoyed it. This included 15 and 17 year old boys. We had last been there in 1990 and thought the new tours were so much better than the previous ones. We spent nearly the entire day there.

Here's a link to the Visitor page at the Kennedy Space Center:

KSC Visitor Page (http://www-pao.ksc.nasa.gov/visit/visitor.htm)

I always enjoy touring the Space Center and have been 3 times. I plan to go again in the near future.

I really enjoy the bus tours, very interesting.

Hmmmm... We're coming back into port on 7/4. Do you think that the crowds at KSC will be bearable, or should we try the next day instead?
