DD was a CM at the Haunted Mansion and tells me she would LOVE to go back for Halloween but it is other DD's Birthday that day and she detests all things Disney soooo depends on what her plans are?? Can't really not be here on her day and she won't come so...remains to be seen!:confused3

Count us in.
We arrive on Oct.25, staying until Nov.2
Split stay between BCV, and OKW:goodvibes
We also are ? if we should do MNSSHP earlier in the week, and do 31st at DD,or boardwalk, as I don't know how scary busy the 31 will be at MK.
Anyone out there done the 31st at DD:confused3
who's ur daddy?

We went last Oct 31 and the party was a blast. We are going in mid-October this year, so won't hit the real Halloween, but hopefully the MNSSHP will be just as fun on those other nights.

We did go to the MNSSHP the Tuesday before Halloween last year, and it was pretty busy, but still got everything we wanted to do done. Prices might be slightly cheaper to go on the Tuesday. I sure wish they would come out with prices for the tickets!

We're debating on whether to switch our dates to the week of Halloween. So funny, UG says it will be quiet that week and everyone else (DIS'ers) say busy.
Go figure!

Halloween will be 1 of our travel days home - so we'll only be there in the morning. We are driving so in order to be home for work on Monday, we won't be able to spend Halloween in WDW.
It's going to be weird - no shelling out, no costumes, no nothing on actual Halloween night this year. :stir:

I did see the pictures... I am a little curious about the Savannah views, Ive never been to AKL before. I am hoping that someone will post good areas to request for Kidani... also excited to eat at the new restaurant, we will be on the DxDP for those two nights, so plan on chowing down at the resort

We, too are arriving in Disney on Oct. 25 but we will be returning home on Nov. 4th. We planned on doing MNSSHP while we are there. Just wondering if DD does anything special for Halloween. If there are other places other than MK that does stuff on the 31st, we'll avoid that party night and go earlier in the week

I just noticed that there is a new date for MNSSHP, Nov 1....Im considering this date now. I think even though its a Sunday, it might be the least popular date during my trip October 26-Nov 1. What do you guys think?

We (my mom and I) are heading down that week too! We fly in on Monday, Oct 26, staying at CBR, doing MNSSHP on Tuesday, Oct 27 (my birthday!!) and fly home on Saturday, Oct 31. No shelling out and no kids for me this year! Mom and I are planning a grown-up trip, so F&W for sure! It will be weird not having the kids, but I am soooo in need of this vacation!!!

Maybe we should have a Canadian Halloween Party prior to the trick or treating in DTD on Halloween Day
Canadian Candy (aka Smarties) for the kids
Drinks for the adults

I might be behind in news, but I just read that Disney cancelled a few of the dates for MNSSHP, so now the only time the event is on during Halloween week is 27th and 31st, which is kind of a bummer. I think Im going to have to get our tickets soon, I am afraid that the 27th is going to sell out just as fast at the 31st.

I think this would be a really fun idea, but how would you go about organizing it?

I just checked the website and it looks like they cancelled the 29 & 30th.:confused3 We had picked the 27th in hopes that it wouldn't be too busy! Considered November 1st when they added that date but it looks like they cancelled that one as well!

I was actually considering going on Nov 1st, because i was really starting to think that it was going to be the least busy day of the week...Im really afraid that the 27th is going to be even more busy than halloween day, which sucks, because I was looking forward to low crowds... not sure if we are going to go now :confused3

We booked this trip specifically so we would be in MK on the 31st! Thought it would be really exciting for the kids. We are arriving in WDW on the 29th, and leave on Nov. 1st for a Disney Cruise!
For those who have already purchased tickets, how much are they this year? And are they still discounted for advance purchases? (even for the 31st?)

Just ordered our tickets tonight for 31.
4 adult tickets with tax, $286.64(US):scared1:
No advance purchase discount for this night. When I when AAAAHHHH, the CM informed me that the 27th was not a Premium night, and therefore cheaper, perhaps I was interested in that night.
I had thought about that night, but now that they have cancelled some other dates that week, I think it will be just as busy, and I will just suck-up the extra $48(US) to be there on the actually Halloween.
The real tick-off is it will be $14(US) to ship 4 small tickets in an envelope.:confused3:scared1::eek:
I asked if I could just pick the tickets up at will call, I was told they don't do that so far ahead, as the tickets are often misplaced, and they have other problems sometimes:confused3
I was told because they are shipping to Canada(read 3rd world country), they only ship express.
2 years ago, we did MVMCP, and I know we picked up the tickets at guest relations before we went in.
Sounds like a scam to get yet more of my money to me, but like a good Canadian, I sucked it up, and gave my credit card.:headache:

I'm rethinking the MNSSHP on the 27th now too, since they cancelled the other parties that week except for 31st. I was kinda counting on it not being that busy, but looks like now there will be a good chance it will sell out. I'm going to hold off buying and see what happens. Maybe they will add those parties back in if ticket sales are good. Plus if I order later, they may do the 'will call' pick up, because that shipping is outrageous!!

Im also going to hold off on getting the tickets to see if they might add another date on, if not I might just do a Family Pirate Cruise for my son the day before Halloween. If I do plan on going Im going to see if I can just ship it to my Ex-husband in Virginia and get him to mail them up or bring them with him when he comes to visit his son.
Have you all bought your tickets for the 27th already?

I was just on the Disney website and it looks like they added October 29 & 30, November 1 parties back on the schedule!
It's a little less :scared1: for those of us who are planning on going on the 27th!
