We are going to be at WDW for 8 days with a 6 day park hopper. Can I buy dining for all 8 days or only for the days we have the park hoppers for?

The dining plan is not tied to the number of days on your tickets (all that is required is that you purchase at least one day's ticket for each person unless you have annual passes or are DVC members). The dining plan is tied to the number of nights you will be staying in the Disney hotel.

In your case, I'm guessing 7 nights?

You will be required to purchase 7 nights of dining for each member of your party/each person in your room.

Thanks. I have another question. So say that we want to use the dining plan on our check out day can we still use it? Or can we only use it for the days that we are registered at the hotel? I am thinking that we will only use a TS for dinner on our first night there and maybe CS and snack before we go to the airport on our last day.

That would be no problem.

Your DDP credits are valid until midnight of the day you check out. We often do the same thing, keep some CS credits to use for lunch on the last day before we head to the airport.

You'll find that your Key to the Kingdom card (room key, room charging, dining credits, park tickets all on one card) will remain active, including room charge, until midnight on check-out day. You can still charge purchases and use dining credits until then. The charges will be billed to the credit card on file and your dining credits will expire at midnight on that last day, usually long after you have left Orlando and arrived back at home. A little extra magic from Mickey ;)
