Not sure if this has been posted yet but DW and I were at Character Premiere at the premium outlets last night and got a FW tire cover for $25.99. It looks great on the fifth wheel. And to think I almost paid $50 at the Meadow Trading Post.

Wow, that is a good deal. :thumbsup2

Just remember when you use the FW tire cover, there are some people out there who feel that they shouldn't have to pay anything for a tire cover.

Wow, I want one of those! I was just thinking the other day as I looked at our old cracked tire cover that I wish we had a FW one- didn't even know if they made one! I wonder if they'll still be that cheap there when we go? half price sounds good to me!

Are you saying people STEAL them while at FW?

People steal them from anywhere, Wal-Mart seems to be the biggest problem for us losing things off our truck.

I'd only need to worry about that at FW. We don't take our trailer to Walmart or anywhere else except at camping sites (and all other places nothing has ever been stolen- all sites in Texas) or in our backyard parking spot for it! LOL

Well, THAT's the reason. In Texas the crooks expect the owner to be packing heat and don't stick their neck out for anything not worth getting shot over!

At the Fort, folk simply borrow them to show to others and then can't remember where to return them. :rolleyes1

But outside of the Fort, mean people will STEAL them.:scared1:

Does anyone know if it was the small tire cover (which is used for the wheels of a pop up camper) or the bigger size one like I bought for my 5th wheel? Because the Fort had two sizes availlable when we purchased ours last year. I would like to have another one!

LOL
correction- they don't "expect" the owner to be packing heat, they KNOW they are. ;)

I have the "Walking Stick" Mickey FW tire cover from the TP for $50 so you got a good deal. I put it on my pop-up spare but cover THAT with the dealer-provided Jayco tire cover to keep it out of sight from potential thieves.

I proudly show my FW cover while travelling but once at my destination the Jayco cover goes back on. It's sad we have to do things like that but it's necessary. :confused3

Has anyone seen the tire covers on line for puchase anywhere? I dont want to wait until we go down in October to get one, and I really would rather not pay $50 for one either

I didn't see sizes on them so I was hopingit would fit. Luckily it did! Our fifth wheel spare is a 15 inch tire.

my wife picked up a FW tire cover at the meadows 5 years ago and we immediately put it on the spare tire. It has been outside the whole time, it hasn't faded or cracked and the only person who I caught trying to steal it was my cousin while in PA last year. It's not the walmart parking lots it's your own family you gotta watch!
