new here--need help!

Hi all--I've just discovered this board and am busy reading!! Just wanted to say hi and ask how/where to start in looking for a cheap-but clean hotel?? This will be our first trip,next June-7 of us driving down for 5 days-not much time but the best we could do....oh yeah major budget! I've seen lots of cheapie hotels but worry about getting a nasty one-condos are out-we want seperate hotel rooms to break up the families.
Lokking forward to reading all this great advice and getting to know you! :)

We went down in April, and stayed at the Comfort Inn LBV for $35.99/nite. It was clean and comfortable! We don't spend ANY time in our room, except to sleep, so this worked out well for us. Here's their website...www.comfortinnlbv.com

thanx for the welcomes! Anything 50 a nite or under sounds great! I just want it to be fairly decent-nothing fancy! Someone else mentioned magic caslte? has anyone been there? so many hotels to look at!!

Yep, we've done the Magic Castle. The CI-LBV is larger, has 2 pools & restaurants, is in a gated lot, and a much better location!

The MC is very basic. Our friends stayed there in April and changed to the CI-LBV, they said it had gown downhill alot! (not that it was anything special in the beginning! ;) )

You will have ALOT of options for under $50 a night!
