We are hoping to go in Oct or Dec this year, and since we really don't need tickets, I was hoping Disney would release a room-only discount code. The problem is I'm pretty hooked on the dining plan. popcorn::

So if a room only code comes out, can I add the dining package by just buying one day passes for everyone and still keep the room discount?

Thanks~! :)

Room only codes and package discounted codes are different.

There may be similar (or hopefully better) package deals by then that might give you the same room price, so in effect you would get your discounted room rate. To make a package your room only res is cancelled and rebooked in the Disney system with at least a one day ticket.

But the strict answer is no. DDP must be booked as a package, with package payment and cancellation rules. Just adding a ticket to a room only res does not make it a package, it must be booked as such. You would give up any room only promotion codes, but may be entitled to any new codes that apply to package bookings.

If you have a room only code, 95 times out of 100 you can convert it into a package with tickets and dining and still keep the room discount.
