My PTR can be found here if you want to know a little more about us :-)

We just returned home around 11:30 last night and we are pretty exhausted. It was a great trip, though a complete whirlwind of activity.

I've got my first folder of pics uploading to photobucket as we speak (well, as I write) so I'll be ready to get started here shortly.

Our first day started at a reasonable hour thankfully. The night before Cory and I (from here on to be referred to as "Cor" because that's what I always call him) had been packing last minute things and getting the house to a relatively clean state. We'd gotten to bed around 12:30 and set the alarm for 8:15.

We rolled out of bed with the alarm and began getting showered and dressed. Once I was dress and Cor was in the shower I got Molly up and dressed. She had been very excited the day before but being woken up earlier than she wanted was not her cup of tea. She wasn't too grouchy though when I reminded her what we were doing and where we were going.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/009.jpg

By this time Cor was dressed and we started hauling stuff downstairs. We had one large suitcase to be checked, on smaller suitcase that barely fit as a carry on, two backpacks and one stroller. It was a lot for two people to manage, especially with a toddler in tow. Cor's mom, who was taking our car home from the airport called and said she thought she'd be there right around 9:15 so we were right on schedule.

She got there and we started loading up. We left the house about 9:45 to catch our 11:25 flight to Houston where we would connect and fly to Orlando. The 20 minute drive to the airport was uneventful and our bag weighted in at 49lbs, whew, just under the 50lb mark! We got that taken care of and headed back to the security check. Going through a security check with so much stuff and a two year old is an ordeal. We got all the shoes off and in baskets, then all the bags on the belt and then the stroller. Then of course we each walked through and the guy doing the scanning was really grumpy and got made because I didn't take my laptop out of my backpack. We don't vacation often and this is the first time I'd traveled with my laptop so I didn't know it had to go through separately. We got that taken care of and all our stuff collected and we were off to our terminal.

We only had about 45 minutes to wait before our flight. We stopped at the Sonic in the airport and got a drink and then sat at the terminal. Molly sat and colored in her Little Mermaid color with water book and then I took her to the window to show her our airplane since she's never flown before.

Molly and her coloring book

They called us to start boarding and we gate checked the stroller and had to gate check the big carry-on suitcase as well. The stewardess who checked us in was so sweet and gave Molly some wings since it was her first flight. This flight was only about an hour and we were in one of the flying coffin airplanes. The kind that only has one seat per row on one side and two seats on the other side. It was so small. Cor had to duck just to walk on the plane. I sat in the row behind Cor and Molly and she seemed just fine throughout the entire flight. Mostly she looked out the window and colored more in her Ariel book (this will become a theme throughout our down time).

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/012.jpg

We landed about 12:45 and had to book it across the Houston airport to get to our other terminal. They were boarding when we got there so we never got a chance to eat lunch. I'd packed a few things like pretzel mix and cereal bars so we were okay for the most part. We all got to sit on the same row this time. Molly was getting tired and quite fidgety from the lack of physical activity all day. We were grateful when they announced that electronic devices could be used and we whipped out the Kid Tough DVD player we'd gotten on clearance a couple of months ago. BEST.INVENTION.EVER.

Molly watched The Little Mermaid for the majority of the two hour flight, only stopping every now and then to tell us something about the movie or ask for a drink.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/014.jpg

We arrived in Orlando hungry and tired but excited to finally be there! We immediately found a Burger King in the Airport to have something to eat and then set off to find the Magical Express! After much confusion (they really should have the dang place marked more!) we finally found it and were greeted by no line, yay! We were check in and shown to our line and then as soon as we got in our line the shuffled the 15 or so of us to our bus.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/015.jpg

We got to ride a Disney Cruise Lines bus, but you can see the ME bus right next to ours. I'm sure it was exactly the same as the ME bus except for the outside paint. After no time at all they were whisking us away to WDW. About half way through the trip the kid couldn't take it anymore and she fell asleep.

More to come when we arrive in our room and we spend the evening in DTD with an exhausted toddler!

I'm here from your PTR. Can't wait to hear how it all went.

Our first trip was 2 years ago and we had a hard time finding ME, so I guess there hasn't been any improvement on the signage. Glad you found it!

I just found your TR and went back and read your pre-trip report. Wish I had seen it sooner. I just love the planning part. We take our family as often as we can but it is never more than once a year, usually every two years. Each time it is a delightful mixture of comfortable familiarity and excitement at discovering new or refurbished attractions. Also as the children age, it gives us new perspectives on old attractions.

I thought that your plan was very complete. I am curious to see how it worked out for your family.

I hope that Molly enjoyed the magic and you and your DH made many special memories!

Can't wait for the pictures.:thumbsup2

I can't wait to read about your trip!

I have started to go back read to PTR - you are such a good planner (I hope to be able to copy your skills).

DB and I are heading to WDW and we are practically WDW virgins too (I went when I was 9 - don't remember too much) so I am stoked to hear your impressions! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to the next installment :surfweb:

Hi Debby! Can't wait to hear more :goodvibes

I'm going to try to do something like 3-4 reports a week, to stretch it out but not so long that everyone loses interest. Expect another one possibly tomorrow but by Friday at the latest (hopefully)

Can't wait to read more! I will read your pre-trip while I wait!!!

:thanks: I can't wait to write more :rotfl:

She's usually pretty good about being woken up in the morning, now being woken up from a nap is a whole different story! She LOVED that Ariel book, but on Sunday she lost the pen :headache: so we'll have to head back to the disney store and get a new book for the new pen.

Great report so far, cant wait for more. Molly is very cute, cant wait to hear about her first trip to WDW:)

:thanks: It was quite a trip, both for her and for us!

Great start - love the morning picture!

:thanks: Her hair is finally long enough to be a mess in the morning :cool1:

I can tell you now that she loved it, despite being utterly exhausted, and having meltdowns more often than usual.

The planning worked okay, we didn't get to do everything we wanted, there just weren't enough hours in the day, and the show schedules didn't always mesh with our schedule. Plus that 3-4 hours we lost every afternoon in transit and nap took away a good deal of time too.

But oh well, that just leaves more fun for next time!

I can't wait to read about your trip!

I planned a lot but the trip didn't always go according to my plan, haha. In fact, more often than not, it didn't go according to my plan! But that's alright I'm flexible, or at least I try to be

Cory's picture of our grand entrance! We don't have too many pictures from tonight but that's okay, we'll make up for it later!

So when I stopped before Molly had just fallen asleep on the bus. It was probably 6pm at this point and she was one exhausted girl. We got t0 ASMo around 6:15 and there in the lobby was this family we'd been with ever since Oklahoma City. They were having a family reunion and their whole group was staying at ASMo too. It was so strange but kind of nice to see some slightly familiar faces.

I walked in carrying a 35lb dead weight and immediately looked around for some place to sit down. That nice family we'd traveled with was taking up all the benches but one of the older men immediately jumped up and gave me his seat. All of the older people in that family had oohed and aahed at Molly the entire trip so they already had a soft spot for her. I plopped down and Cor went to get our room keys and all the other stuff. We'd already checked in online so it was a quick process. Cor came over and had our folder O' stuff in hand.

I told him I didn't think I could carry Molly all the way to the room, she was just too heavy, and even heavier when she's passed out asleep. We traded handfuls and I dragged the backpacks, small suitcase and stroller to the room. We were in room 4956, just to the right of the main pool in one of the Dalmatian buildings. It was a fairly short walk. At this point we realized our room was on the third floor and having not been there before we didn't know there was an elevator. Cor carried Molly all the way up the fire hydrant stairs to the third floor and I huffed and puffed and dragged all our belongings up the stairs behind him. When I got up there Molly was awake. Cor said he accidentally banged the door when he got in there and it woke her up.

Molly immediately climbed in bed and got comfy.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/021.jpg

She started looking around the room and she loved the theme. 101 Dalmatians is one of her favorites. As we were walking to our room I turned my cell phone on and saw that I'd missed a call from Marge who was delivering our groceries from WeGoShop.com. I saw that it was 6:35 and we'd talked about her coming around 7. I quickly called her back and she said she'd be there in about 5 minutes. I guess she was already on property.

She came just a few minutes later and delivered the goods. We didn't get a ton, just some easy things to get us through the week without having to spend as much in the parks.

Here are our spoils

After I got all the groceries situated I stuck my head out and caught a few pictures of our view. It was a preferred room so I suppose this is a good view?? It was fine we didn't spend too much time staring out the window anyway :lmao:

I don't have any pictures of our evening at DTD but I'll sure tell ya about it :goodvibes

It was the longest bus ride of the entire week I think. The bus was jam packed and a nice man had his son sit on his lap so I'd have a place for Molly to sit in my lap. The ride was rather uneventful, Molly was wiggly but there's nothing new about that :-P

We got to DTD and it was starting to get dark. We hadn't the foggiest idea where to go so we just started walking with everyone else. We walked by Rainforest Cafe and wanted to get a pic of Molly with the animals out front but it was just too busy. We were awfully hungry so we decided that was our number one priority. We walked past the carousel and saw Wolfgang Puck Express and decided it was a winner. The line was out the door so Cor left me with our keys to the world and went to find a table with Molly.

The woman in front of me struck up a conversation. She was probably in her late 50s had been at Disney for 10 days already and was leaving that Friday, a full two weeks in Disney. She was there with just her and her husband, they didn't have any children. I bet they had a fun and very full trip. The line moved quickly and after 10 minutes or so I was at the front ordering. I ordered a Turkey Hero Sandwich and chocolate cake for Cor and I got Rigatoni chicken bolognse and creme brulee. The total was $42, the most we paid all week for CS. We were on the standard DDP so I kept track of how much we spend on each meal so I could see if we saved any money and how much. I'll let you know how much each meal cost as well. I got our number and our drinks and headed to find Cor and Molly. They were sitting out on the patio.

Cor was showing Molly the pics we'd taken so far to keep her entertained. She had only napped for about 35 minutes and it showed. She is nearly three but she still needs a good 2 hour nap each day and even more when we are doing exhausting things. As we were sitting and waiting she was getting more and more wild and while she was happy she kept letting out these blood curdling screams every few minutes and this one particular woman sitting at a table behind us was shooting us nasty glares every time it happened. Well the inevitable happened. Molly was being wild and Cor got on to her for something and her being the drama queen she is, flopped around and knocked over my glass of Sprite. It was still full and it went EVERYWHERE.

Cor picked her up and hauled her out of there for a stern talking to and I tried to avoid the icy stares the woman was sending my way. I had no napkins so I just sat. After just a couple of minutes the server brought out our food and then brought up some extra napkins and together we got the mess sopped up the best we could. The food looked great and I started in. Cor came back with Molly and she was on her best behavior. We really enjoyed the food, it was good. We aren't terribly picky and we were quite hungry so it was even better than it probably was :thumbsup2

Molly was behaving pretty well at this point so after we ate we headed to Once Upon a Toy. Wow it was packed in there. That store just goes on and on. Cor stayed with Molly playing at the My Little Pony table while I went and explored, then we switched. We didn't end up getting anything though. We were so tired we just couldn't make up our minds on anything. About 9 we decided we should head back. We found our way back to the bus stop and a bus was already loading. As it got to us it was standing room only and we just weren't up for that so we let the people behind us go. We waited about ten more minutes and another bus came. We got on and got seats.

We finally got back to our room at around 10. Molly was starting to lose her mind again she was so tired. We got her pajama-ed and her teeth brushed and put her in bed. Of course we still needed to get ready for bed and try to get stuff packed up for the next day. Molly is not the type of kid to just go to sleep in there is anything going on so she sat up for the next half our talking to us and making up reasons to get out of bed. Finally around 10:45 Cory and I climbed into bed and as soon as we got settled Molly said she had to go to the bathroom...of course she does :rotfl: I climb back out of bed and take her back to the bathroom and then we get back in bed. She then spent the next 20 minutes talking and singing until she passed out.

If you are getting a picture of Molly's personality now you are probably pretty accurate. She's sweet and precocious and a complete handful. She doesn't have tantrums often, but she's very independent and wants to do what she wants to do. She talks like a 4 year old but she thinks like a 2 year old. Well, actually when I look at other kids she's not really that much of a handful. She just really wants to do her own thing and can't understand why she can't always. This is about the only thing that cause us big headaches.

Next up...our first full day in Disney World at the Magic Kingdom!

We found the Ariel book at the Disney store along with a couple of others. I'm not sure who makes them I'll have to look. We were just at Walmart and I found an identical one except it was with Dora (and it was $1 less than the Disney Store). They are really neat though. The water just evaporates and you can color it again. It kept Molly and the other kids waiting around us entertained for our entire trip!

Molly is just beautiful.

"Sweet, precocious, independent, wants to do what she wants to do & only a few tantrums now and then." Sounds like a Genuine Princess to me!

We took our Princess To WDW when she was Molly's age in 1974 and have been back 14 times over the years.

Enjoy Molly while you can. They grow up way too fast.

We're in right on the border of Moore, really close to lake Draper. It snowed for about 15 minutes early this morning and that was it. No accumulation,
DD4 wasn't too happy about that, but I was! I want the springtime weather back! I've been checking the weather in Orlando everyday and wishing I was there! Can't wait to read some more of your trip report!

The weather was great while we were there, even a little too warm while we were in AK, but I hear its always hotter there than anywhere else. We got about two inches of snow here all together.

I'm really missing WDW right now. I think after every vacation I get a bit depressed that I'm stuck in real life again. Even with the stresses there its so much more fun than just being home. I'm trying to convince DH that we should go again in 2010 around his birthday, January 11th. I hear that's one of the cheapest times of year and he'd get the big birthday deal.

Does anyone know when they start allowing 2010 reservations?

On the website I can't make one for Jan 2010, it says they are only going through December 2009. I have no idea when I should be able to, but I really would like to soon so we have lots of time to pay for it.

I think I will be able to get the next installment up this afternoon :thumbsup2

That promotion might not be going on then. So far the Celebration promotion is only for this year. (as far as I have heard) It may be something different next year, or they may do like they did with the year of a million dreams and go another year.

Have you tried calling Disney? You might be able to book with them, or with AAA.

Its a Kid Tough DVD player by Fisher Price. We got ours at Target and I always see them at Walmart too. I bet you could find them just about anywhere. The only down side is that the screen is pretty tiny, but its durable and that's really important when a preschooler is the user, haha.

We were up bright an early Wednesday morning for our first ever day at the Magic Kingdom. I think it was the perfect way to start our WDW experience.

We got up at 7:15 and made it to the bus stop around 8:10 or so. We hadn't done as much getting ready for the day the night before as we learned to do later. We made it to the MK around 8:40 and it was pretty crowded. We couldn't make it through the turnstiles. We had no idea what we were waiting for.

We finally heard the opening song and we got through the turnstiles and began our first walk down main street. Its just wonderful, I love main street. We didn't take much time to browse the shops though, we were really wanting to get to Fantasyland.

That was a comical moment :rotfl2:

A couple of views of the castle

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/036.jpg

We enjoyed the sights on the short walk to Fantasyland. We rounded the castle and ran smack into Cinderella's wicked step mother and step sisters. Our first character sighting! We hopped right in the five minute line. Molly was just a little hesitant to meet them since she knew they were mean to Cinderella. Of course they weren't mean to her. I was wearing my Happy Anniversary pin and Lady Tremaine asked me how many years we'd been married. I told her 4 and she looked critically at my hand and then told me she didn't see 4 carats. Everyone laughed and I told her that was something to take up with my husband :lmao: Maybe it gave him some good ideas, who knows??

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/039.jpg

We continued on to Fantasyland and walked on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh first. Molly enjoyed it and so did we, very cute. After that we headed over to Cinderella's Carousel. I found Cinderella's horse, but another mother and daughter beat me to it, so we took the horse right behind it, another walk on ride by the way.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/040.jpg

Molly's face looked like that quite a bit that first day. She was just taking it all in. She really enjoyed herself, but during each activity she had that look of intense concentration.

Of course Cor saw the Sword in the Stone and had to give it a try. The little boy off to the side had run up just after Cor got up there and his mom of course told him to wait his turn. Cor gave the sword a good yank and it didn't come up so we got our picture and moved on. As we were walking away Cor said "Yeah...I'm ten years old." He thought it was pretty funny that he went ahead and took his turn at the sword instead of letting the little boy go ahead and try.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/048.jpg

While we were on the carousel there was a CM who was sticking with one little boy, like for the entire ride. When they got off the little boy met his dad and a couple of little girls and the CM went walking off with them. I saw them a little later and the CM was still with them. Was this some sort of famous person to have a CM taking them around personally? I didn't recognize the guy, but that doesn't mean anything.

Next we hopped over and walked on Snow White's Scary Adventure. I was a little nervous because I'd heard it was actually a bit scary, but its Molly's favorite Disney movie so we couldn't miss it.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/047.jpg

Molly said it was a little scary, but she liked it and wanted to do it again. We said we'd wait and try again later, we had other things to try!

We had to make a quick pit stop for Molly and Cory to pose like wild animals.

I just took pictures of random things throughout the ride.

After IASW we looked at the line for Peter Pan and decided Fast Passes were the way to go. After having walked on to 4 rides, a 45 minute wait didn't seem like a lot of fun. Our fast passes were for 12:25-1:25 and it was only about 10:15.

We started making our way toward Story Time with Belle and saw The Fairy Godmother behind the castle.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/061.jpg

Molly had just gotten a ton of stickers from the DVC guy and she proceeded to plaster then all over herself. I said, "Molly, you are all sticker-fied!" she laughed and said "haha, Mama, I'm all sticker-fied-ed!" Cory and I cracked up.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/063.jpg

continued from previous post

We walked over to Story Time with Belle and saw that the next show was at 10:50. Molly said she had to go potty so Cor took her and I took a minute to write down what we'd done so far. When they came out we sat on a bench right outside Cosmic Ray's and had some oranges and some cherrios and then snagged a seat in the little story time area. At that point the step mother and sisters were inside and doing more meeting and greeting.

I watched the meet and greet while Molly picks up every leaf around us and puts it in this tiny puddle next to our bench.

Eventually it was time for Story Time. Belle was great, though it was hard to get good pictures of her face because that wig's bangs were like a visor, lol.

It is really cute when she sees Cinderellas castle. I get all sparkley each time I see it too.
Looks like you guys had a great start to the day. My DD likes to sleep in, so we never make any openings. Someday I hope to. :hippie:

Yeah the poop was some kind of magic to start off our very first day, haha. It was something anyway. My DD likes to sleep in as do we, but since it was our first time we got up early all but one day. In the future I doubt it will always be like that.

So, I'm sitting here watching the video of you standing in line at the turnstiles and tearing up. Then going down Main Street, the tears are starting to come. Then the Poop. That wasn't so magical, but what a funny memory.:rotfl:

Your pics are great and love the angle you got of the castle (the one posted right before Molly being stickerfied!).

All these trips and we have never been on the Carousel.:sad2:

If you are getting a picture of Molly's personality now you are probably pretty accurate. She's sweet and precocious and a complete handful. She doesn't have tantrums often, but she's very independent and wants to do what she wants to do. She talks like a 4 year old but she thinks like a 2 year old. Well, actually when I look at other kids she's not really that much of a handful. She just really wants to do her own thing and can't understand why she can't always. This is about the only thing that cause us big headaches.

She sounds a lot like my Cayley especially the "she talks like a 4 year old but thinks like a 2 year old" And wants to do her own thing. I love how passionate Cayley is about life but sometimes it is really tiring. And why is it that when they get tired they also get manic?

Arg!! I don't know! Molly is doing it RIGHT NOW. She only took a 30 minute nap today and earlier she was running back and forth between rooms as fast as she could yelling "watch me!! watch me!!" She wouldn't stop running like a maniac for anything. Oh my gosh :confused3

Maybe my next child will be one of those that actually stops when they are tired. My MIL said my DH would go and go and then just pass out asleep wherever he was when he couldn't go anymore. Molly has not done that once in her entire life. She just goes faster and faster.

So we'd just finished watching Story time with Belle and though it was only 11:15 or so we were ready for lunch. We were right across from Cosmic Rays and we knew we needed to use our counter service credits so off we went.

It wasn't very crowded so Cory and Molly sat down at a table and I went back to get our food. I had the roasted chicken and Cory had a cheeseburger. When I had the food Cor wanted to move to the tables closer to the counters because it was too loud down by the anamatronic characters. Not much to say about the food, it was good :goodvibes (we aren't really food critics, haha). Molly wasn't terribly hungry and ate pretty much from the condiments bar. Toddlers are so strange. She ate pickles and tomatoes...whatever kiddo. When we left it was super crowded. We then made a note to ourselves for the rest of the week: early lunches beat the crowds!

one of the only food pics I took all week, my roasted chicken
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/083.jpg

After that we headed over to Peter Pan to use our FPs. On the way we passed by Alice and the white rabbit. Molly has never seen Alice in Wonderland so we didn't stop, but we snapped a few pics as we walked by.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/085.jpg

We waited for 10 minutes or so and we were on our flying boat.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/087.jpg

We all enjoyed this ride, especially Cor, he thought it was really neat and well done. Molly liked it too, but there wasn't much this week that she didn't like ;)

Afterwards we checked next door to see when the next showing of Philharmagic was, lo and behold it was just about to start! We went in and grabbed our 3D glasses.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/088.jpg

We waiting for five minutes or so for the doors to open...I love how the signs above the doors say they open "automagically."

We all three LOVED this show, absolutely great. Easily our favorite thing we'd seen thus far and that's saying something!

We weren't quite ready to head back to our room for a nap, but all of the lines were a mile long and the FP times weren't late enough for us to use them later that evening so we didn't get any.

We decided to check out Pooh's Playful Spot instead. On our way in we saw these guys off to the side.
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/090.jpg

We knew we were having breakfast at the Crystal Palace later in the week so we didn't stop. We really didn't do very many character meet and greets unless the line was short. Molly just wouldn't have put up with long lines. We avoided them at all costs all week.

Molly first headed inside the tree.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a209/debdebdebby13/Disney%20vacation/091.jpg

She was in there for MAYBE a minute and a half before we looked and saw she wasn't there anymore. We started looking around and of course we saw she had found the water.

We let Molly play for 20 minutes or so and then saw that it was about 1:15 so we went ahead and headed to the bus stop.

We got back to ASMo around 1:50 and went and got in our swimsuits. We went down to the pool by the Mighty Ducks buildings in the hopes that there wouldn't be many people there. Sure enough there were a couple of kids and a couple of adults in the pool and that was it. We got no pics unfortunately.

There was a life jacket sitting there so we put it on Molly and she and I played and after I splashed Cor until he was soaked he got in. He's not much of a pool person so I had to use a little force :rotfl:

We got back in our room about 2:45 and we all laid down. Cor dozed for a little while and Molly sang and jabbered for 10 minutes or so until she fell asleep. Cor and I laid there until we heard a noise outside the door. We'd put our do not disturb sign in the door that morning, but when we got back we hadn't put it back in so the mousekeeper was trying to come in to clean. Cor dove out of bed to keep her from making a bunch of noise getting the door open. He cracked it and said we wouldn't be needing mousekeeping that day so she gave him a bag full of towels and things.

He laid back down and we whispered and giggled for another hour or so and then we woke Molly up to head back to MK for the evening.

Next our evening in Tomorrowland!

Great update. Molly is so cute playing in the water. Funny, she would run away after the water squirted, and then run right back. So cute!

Philharmagic is one of my favorites. Just a great show. Looking forward to more!

This isn't an update but a question. What do you do when your husband absolutely refuses to consider another Disney trip until 2011?? He just swears up and down it won't be as much fun since we just went, and we'll get bored. He absolutely refuses to even entertain the idea. UGH

Mine is kind of like that too. So I just keep talking about the trip and casually bringing up his favorite parts and reminding him of how much he liked certain things. I show him food pics on the DIS and we laugh about different funny events that happened and before you know it, he starts to come around ;)

Kick him in the butt! LOL1
We have gone 3 years in a row. Each trip has been totally different. DH isn;t a big disney fan, but for the most part enjoys the trips and knows our DD loves it. We try to do some similar stuff and some new stuff each trip. There are still many rides/shows we haven't done. And this year DD was tall enough to ride a few bigger rides. Ther eis just so much to do that it's hard to get bored. And like I said, mix it up. Do different restaurants. Different character meals. Try the Hoop Dee Doo. Try the campfire (one thing I am still determined to fit in our plans some day.
If worse come to worse, make it in Jan of 2011. At least thats not as far as DEc. 2011. LOL! :lmao:

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm still working on my TR, but since I still have my internship I have very little free time. My internship ends in 3 weeks (!!!) and then I have finals week so about a month and I'll have lots of free time to work on chapter for the report. So sit tight and soon I'll have the chapters rolling out hopefully two or three times a week!

HELP!!

How can I convince DH to go at the end of September. Like I mentioned before, he's set against it. He thinks we won't have enough to do, though he has started to realize how much we didn't get to do on our trip. He also doesn't want to spend the money, but they are having the free dining deal and a trip for all three of us total would be a little over $1200 for 5 nights, 6 days and the standard dining plan  We could get that paid off by August for sure. Oh my gosh it seems so worth while. He also doesn't think he can use that much vacation time but the way I arranged it we could fly out on Wednesday afternoon so he could go to work that day and then we'd come back on Monday so he'd only use 3 days.

Gosh, there has to be a way to convince him.

Another one addicted.:rotfl: You sound just like the rest of us. Sounds like you have a plan, hopefully he will agree soon. We make a lot of day trips and find something new every time we go. Just remind him that little princess won't always be little.

You just have to keep working on him. Do you have any other vacations scheduled for the summer. If you do, then go over the cost comparison with him. Tell him anything you think he might want to hear. Tell him free dining is a once in a lifetime thing :rotfl2::rotfl2: Tell him you will not be able to vacation during the value season once your daughter is in school. Tell him all the things you want to see and all the places you want to eat on your next trip. Remind me how low the crowds are in September. Just keep workin' it until you wear him down. Remind him that the free dining sells out and you want to get your first/second pick of resorts. Jump up and down and say please....please...please

And most of all.... Good Luck! You can do it!

I have read your PTR and all of your TR and love it! I wanted to see how you got on with your DD as my DD is of a similar age - looks like she had a wonderful time, nothing like Disney to put a smile like that on a childs face:yay:

Hey neighbor!:wave2:(ok, so you're about 2 hours away from me, but in the world of Disney that is close enough to be a neighbor.):rotfl:
I just found your TR this morning (I know I should be working since that is what they're paying me to do. But hey, everyone needs a Dis break every now and then, right?) I love your Tr so far,and your DD is so adorable.:cutie: I wish mine were still that little, 14 not so cute, almost 3...cute. Can't wait to read more, guess I'd better get back to work.:upsidedow

There's nothing like taking a child on their first trip to Disney. My Mum says she cried loads when we first went just because of my behavior XD If I'm ever lucky enough to have children, I can't wait to take them. This TR is just precious!

Just found your TR, I was intrigued by your title and seeing everything from a first timers perspective. Loving it so far ! Molly is just cute cute cute !!

A couple of things I wanted to comment on, the family you saw with the castmember may have been somebody famous or may not, that's a service anyone can pay for, one's things for sure famous or not they were a pretty well off family.
Also on your MK day you commented that the FP times were earlier than the time you'd be back in the park, you can actually use the FP anytime after the start time. We found this out when we had to get out of the FP line at Space Mt to make an ADR, a castmember saw us leaving, gave us FP for the current time and said "just come back and use these after your dinner, you don't have to use them within the printed time" We don't make a habit of it but have done it on occasion.

Good luck with finishing up your internship I know you'll be happy to get that over with.
Good luck also with getting Cor to agree with going back in Sept. I like the 'that little Princess won't be little for long' idea try adding 'she won't always believe in the Magic'. I personally feel that once they start school they start to get wise to that sort of thing.
Waiting patiently for the next chapter
Lynn

Just found this TR and lovin' it! Molly is adorable. Those pictures of her smiling/laughing in the water play area is PRICESLESS and makes the trip worthwhile.
