Has anyone sold scrap gold?

I was reading the budget board thread on selling gold, sounds promising. Does anyone know of a reputable website, store, company? Looking for ways to get money for Disney! :grouphug:

I would say that you'd be better off to find a design that you like and have a jeweler design a new piece for you that you like. I seriously doubt that you'd get even remotely what the piece is worth, since they are out to make a profit too. I collect all my scrap gold, and when I save up some money turn it into a nice pendant for myself. I've done this many times in the past with very nice results. We have a family jeweler, and have had many custom pieces done with him over the years, with very good results. May be something that might be worth looking into. Have a great day!

My mom found someone locally and got quite a bit of money from selling her gold. I was invited to a gold party by a friend. Seems to be getting quite popular. You might even want to check with a local jeweller.

I also wanted to make some money for Disney so I searched online and found a website, Gold 4 Cash. They are in Toronto. I mailed them some old jewellery and they sent me $75. Not bad for stuff that was sitting in my jewellery box forever!
