I bought some annuals last weekend (Memorial Day weekend) and I have a bit of my edging project to finish before I can plant what is left of the plants. How long do you think they will last in those tiny containers? I have been watering them daily.

They become root bound pretty quickly in those tiny pots.... I would take them out of full sun if they are in it so as not to stress them much more.
I'd love to see pictures of your project.

ac...I'll try to get some pics taken this weekend before I get it finished. This past Sunday when I was working on it I thought I should have taken before and after pics like I'm doing on the inside of the house (hanging valances and curtains). We are having a huge bout of rain right now and I looked out this morning and I think I have to adjust some of the bricks - I think I put them too deep in and need to bring them up a bit. Dirt was flowing down toward and over the bricks.

I have had plants in containers well over 2 weeks and they did just fine once in. The main issue is to keep them in semi shade and to water them often - as they are likely to be root bound and to dry out fast.

Hey they will last alonnnnng time. Might I suggest that you fertilize them as well, that will keep them going strong.

The key is to keep them watered. We grow them in those little packs and pots starting around mid-Feb. and they stay until they sell. Right now I have some very healthy plants that have been in the packs for months. Daily watering (sometimes 2-3 times), grooming, and occasional fertilizer will keep them happy and healthy.
