Free refillable mug on dining plan???

I just read that on the dining plan you receive a free refillable mug. They said one free mug per person. We were on the dining plan last year but nothing was ever mentioned about a free mug. Does anyone know if this is true?

I believe that this just is for the quick-service and deluxe dining plan....not sure why its not on the normal DDP....perhaps because of free-dining??? :confused3

If you are on the basic dining plan you do not get a refillable mug (this plan is called "plus dining" on the Disney website - gives you 1 snack, 1 counter service & 1 table service) Only the Deluxe dining plan came with the refillable mug last year (3 meals & 2 snacks per day + refillable mug)

This year the QSDP (quick, or counter, service dining plan) and the Deluxe plan both come with the refillable mug.

The basic dining plan has not changed, still 1 snack, 1 CS & 1 TS. No mug. You can buy the refillable mug for $12.99 at any resort counter service. It's only good for refills at your own resort while you're staying there (not in the parks)

Thanks for the help! We are on the basic dining plan. Last year we did not buy the mug but I think it will be worth it because dd is 2 and not included on the dining plan. I could use the mug for her drinks.

Actually, your mug can be used at any resort, (at least that is what the CM told us last March) but it is not refillable in the parks.

Just an FYI - you cannot get milk or juice in the refillable mugs - just coffee, tea and sodas.

Actually the last time we were at Pop (Jan 09) they had apple juice on the beverage refill counter. I'm not sure about other food courts, but Pop does. No milk.

cool, glad to know they have some juice (just wish it was orange juice!)

- they didn't have any in September...heard someone complaining very loudly to the CMs about it, too.

I guess we will have to wait and see what juice they have at the station. Since my dd (2) does not drink coffee or tea it might not be worth it!!

It's worth the money for sure...I bought one last year and I'll buy another one this year:)
