I am trying to upload it to you tube but it is taking forever tonight for some reason. I will keep trying. The security officer was very interested in us we got a couple of great picks of him as well.:thumbsup2

How did you manage to get so far into Kidani without being stopped by security? Or are they allowing people to approach the building now that construction of the south wing is largely finished?

It would help if you edited your post and put each set of IMG tags on their own line rather than have the images side by side.

My husband is Hazzard101. He drove around to Kidani, and I took the video and pictures. It is amazing! The only obstacle that we had to get around was a sign that said "Construction Entrance." In fact, we did see some workers back there, and you can even see the security guard in some of the pictures. (I didn't notice him standing there until my DH pointed him out in the pictures!)

The first night we went back there, we took the video. Then we went back the next night to take some pictures. We got pictures of the entrance, pool, and tennis courts/BBQ area. Everything looks really nice.

I'm having trouble seeing the pictures here at work, so I don't know which ones he posted. I'll remind him about putting the pictures under each other, instead of side-by-side. It was his first time posting pictures.

I'm thinking this must be the quiet pool?Kidani only has one pool. There is a water play area as well as a pool but there is no quiet pool.

I think that was the play area. I am having problems with the video and now you tube is doing maintenance so hold on to your hats.

I want to put a disclaimer on this thread. I broke the rules getting these pics and video. I went into a construction zone and took a chance of getting into trouble and or hurt. There was security there to greet me and I didn't give them a chance to tell me to leave I was already on my way out.

You risk a lot driving on closed roads and could end up being hit by heavy equipment or getting a flat tire. Enjoy the pics and ( if I ever get it up, the video )

Thanks for posting the video - I must admit, I did laugh at the bit where you obviously 'hid' the video camera from view :rotfl:

The resort is absolutely huge - I did not expect it to be that big. And I am a bit confused about the pool area - I thought there would be a slide, is it just hidden from view or what?

I think this may change as the landscaping grows in.

BTW - you do win the prize for first pool pic as we never defined how much of the pool or that it had to have water included IMHO, :goodvibes Maybe the Tag fairy can help out on this one? She's earned it!

the only thing I don't like is you can see the first floor parking, the hotel looks like a big parking garage!But we already knew that from the original drawings and description so that is not really a surprise. And I agree that they will be able to hide that with landscaping. I would much rather have the parking under the building than to have a huge lot out front. At least the guests in the standard view rooms will be looking at a fairly small parking area in front of the building rather than a sea of blacktop and cars.

Wow how beautiful!!! now I'm regretting staying at Jambo instead of our "home" this summer. Oh well, there's always next year! Thanks for taking that risk for us. I would have been just like you with the "please go" in the end.:rotfl: GREAT WORK!

Ok, I am glad everyone has enjoyed the pics and video. I would like to give special thanks to my DW who with her expert camera skills shot all the footage and pics. All I did was drive the car and force her to take video and pics. Welcome home everyone. we are looking forward to the next pics and video from someone else. We will be back at the end of May and we have a one night stay in a 1 BDRM S view. We can't wait.:woohoo:

Me too Lisa ! Vero Beach resort does this as well...for the main Inn bldg. Nice not to have see a "sea of cars" when you look out the window. Also nice to have car sheltered from hot sun......heavy rain etc. I prefer this set up. I think it will make it easier to get to your car as well.

Watching the video, I noticed you didn't stop at the stop sign!!

Looks like there will be lots of great walking paths. Looks like if you are walking from Jambo to Kidani you'll have to cross that one parking lot entrance.

The bus stop area is HUGE!!

Just watched the video, THANKS!

One question though...looking at the vid of the bus stops, it appears that the path from the building to the stops is uncovered. Did I see that correctly? If so, that's a bit disappointing. I really liked the fact that at Jambo the whole walk to the stps was protected.

Of course, our one stay there so far was during Faye, so maybe it's not such a big deal normally.

I had heard for opening day they're building us an entire building and filling the savanna with animals. :laughing: Do they need to do anything above and beyond this? My thoughts: no - I'll just be happy to be there. (July for us)
