Pin trading books at the resorts?

I have a read a couple of threads recently where people have mentioned pin trading books in the resort gift shops. Do all resort gift shops have these books and what are the rules for trading from them (I am guessing 2 pins a day?)

Most resort gift shops have them. Sometimes they're not books, but large square display boards. They're often kept out of sight behind the sales counter, so ask a CM if you don't see one. The rules for trading remain the same. :)

Excellent, that will make trading a bit easier next trip then. I guess now though I will need to take more pins to trade!!

I like the one at the AKL. Always has a pin I am looking for.

These are the resorts that I *know* have pin boards or books. Sometimes they are in multiple places - like at a Pin Cart AND in the lobby. My list is in no way complete, it just has the ones I have experience with.

Wilderness Lodge - Mercantile Shop & Lobby PinTrading Cart
Port Orleans Riverside - Lobby(5-5:30), Gift Shop
Port Orleans French Quarter - Lobby(5-5:30), Gift Shop
Saratoga Springs - Gift Shop

The Yacht Club brings out their board twice a day in the gift shop on an easel. Something like 9:00 & 5:00 I believe. Also, at one of the counters in the lobby in the YC, they have a book as well. It's the counter to the right if you're facing the doors to leave out the front.

I think Port Orleans Riverside has a pin board in the lobby around 5 pm..

Are the mercantile shop and pin trading cart, two separate areas at WL or is it all one? Thanks. Debby

The "mercantile" is the name for the main gift shop. It is on the right beyond the check-in/lobby concierge desk as you enter the WIlderness Lodge lobby through the main doors.

The Pin Cart is located to the left, behind the big fireplace - on your way to Roaring Forks and Artist Point.

I don't remember if you need to ask them or if it's put out at a specific time, but the Fantasia store at the Contemporary has a huge pin trading board where you can make whatever trades you want.

I know Mouse Gears in Epcot has a board. The CM saw my lanyard and had my husband wheel me across the store like we were racing. It was so much fun!

The Poly gift shop has a board as well. I was there and got a birthday call from Goofy last August. Then the CM told me to choose a pin from the board and that I did not have to leave one because it was my birthday. And this was before What will you Celebrate started. It was very nice.

The Grand Floridian has one in the upstairs gift shop (closest to the monorail exit). Only brought out during certain hours.

Saratoga Springs - I never saw one in the gift shop. But, they have a huge board that is located out pass the pool area, in one of the kiddie activity rooms. Anyone can trade off of it, not just kids. Just ask behind the window and they will bring it out for you ANY time. The lady that is always there is very nice!

Also, there is one at DTD in the World of Disney Store. Only brought out during certain hours.
