Hope this is in the right place, and that someone can help me with this. We are a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 kids on the DDP. We are having dinner with another couple at 'Ohana next month. They are not on the DDP. I remember when I made the ressie that the CM said that the tip would be automatically added b/c we are a party of 6. Since we'll have separate checks, will they divide the auto tip between the checks? We usually tip at least 20% there so the amount is not the issue; just trying to figure out how it will work. Thanks.

Yes, each party's tip will be appropriate to that party's check.

Say the total for six people is $100 - the tip would be $18; total for the table is $118.00

So, based on my 'pretend' number: adult meals are $20 each, child meals are $10 each.

The four-person family check comes to $60, so the tip added to their check will be $10.80.

The two-adult family check comes to $40, so the tip added to their check will be $7.20.

Family A pays a total of $70.80; family B pays a total of $47.20.

Total checks for the table = $118.00!

eta: I did that all in my head (excuse if the calculations are wrong, bragging if they're correct :teeth: )

Nice math! :thumbsup2 (especially since it was done in your head- impressive!)

Thanks, thats what I figured they would do. We probably wouldn't have bothered with separate checks if we weren't on the DDP, so it is good to know that it can be done that way. Thanks!
