Congrats on being a RN! That's amazing news. Good for you, now you really have something to celebrate in Disney world! Your 4th of July sounds fun.I went camping for the weekend, which was nice and relaxing. Your trip is coming soon..sometimes I feel like the last month/days are the hardest!!
My top 5 attractions at AK:
1. Killimanjaro
2. Killimanjaro
3. Killimanjaro
4. Animals
5. EE
I love love love animals, and dinosaur scares the crap out of me and i'm not a huge fan of it's tough to be a bug. But AK is my favorite park..because of the animals!!!
DHS/MGM
Top 5 Attractions:
1. RnR
2. ToT
3. Great Movie Ride
4. The villian store (not an attraction but I love that place)
5. Backlot tour
:rotfl: Haha, I love your choices for AK!!!! It is my second favorite park!! (I have to say MK is my favorite!! But AK is a very close second!) Ok I do NOT like It's tough to be a bug but for some reason I still go on it every year. I think I'm a glutton for punishment! It's kinda like Honey I Shrunk the Audience. I HATE HATE HATE that show! But again for some reason I always went on it until last year I finally stood up for myself and did not go on it. I waited for the rest of my family outside (and actually fixed my camera which had sorta broken) I love the villian store and I know dbf will LOVE it too! It's the first place I thought of to get him a gift when I went last summer! I def. have to make a stop in it every time I go!
i have been away from the boards a few days but!! CONGRATS ON PASSING YOUR TEST!!! thats is awesome:) I am very happy for you!!!:)
Thank you!!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Tree of Life
In Disney's story of the Tree of Life the animals are not carved into the surface of the tree, they've grown out from it.
There are 325 animals carved into the Tree of Life.
The final look of the Tree of Life was based on a particular bonsai tree the design team found at the International Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot on one of their trips to Florida.
Early plans called for Guests to be able to ascend to the top of the Tree for an overlook of Discovery Island and the rest of the Park.
Another early concept-The Roots Restaurant, which was to be located under the base of the Tree-was to have been the Park's finest eatery.
Ok since we did our favorite attractions at HS, how about your least favorite?
4.Sounds Dangerous
3.Magic of Disney Animation (I used to really like it but since it's not a real working studio anymore, it's just kinda boring and they need to update the video at the beginning. I do love the drawing you can do at the end, that's a lot of fun!! So it's not that I hate it, it just needs an update!)
2.Journey into Narnia (just really stupid)
1.Lights, Motors, Action
Ok even I only have 4, while doing this I realized I don't hate a lot of things at Disney!!! :lmao:

Disney Trivia of the Day
Discovery Island Shops
The shops located within Discovery Islnad are each designed around a specified poetic grouping of animals.
Creature Comforts features animals and insects with spots or stripes, such as zebras, tigers, and bumblebees. This even carries outside the store to the ladybug lamp fixture and the cheetahs on the ridgelines of the roof of the cupola.
Island Mercantile offers a collection of animals that migrate, such as geese, or work, such as beavers and camels.
When we enter Beastly Bazaar, we are greeted by animals that live in or spend significant time in water-fish, otters, bears, and more. Outside, there's a carved wooden sea horse faming the walkway in front of the shop.
Disney Outfitters is decorated with animals that travel in herds, as indicated by the elephants and rhinoceroses that anchor the large compass lighting fixture.
(Ok I never noticed this before and I think it was one of my favorite trivia I learned from my books!! I think it's so neat!!)
Ok so since there's not a whole lot of restaurants in HS lets just do your favorite table service and favorite counter service restaurant.
Table Service: Brown Derby (I love their food there and they had the lobster bisque when i went, my favorite soup!!)
Counter Service: Pizza Planet (I have no idea why I love this one so much!)

Ok has anyone noticed my coundown ticker??
One month to go!!!!
Tomorrow I'm going to start my "one month from today" countdown!! I can't believe it's only one month to go!! I'm so excited!!
I also made a small countdown for dbf and me to do. Unfortunately we can't start it tomorrow because I only see him on weekends so every weekend we'll have to catch up. Here's some pics of it. It's only small and not the one I usually make. Usually I use a huge pice of poster board and I have pictures of disney world on it and cover them with the mickey heads. On the back of the mickey heads I have disney trivia on them. Well here's the one I did for this trip!!

Oh I also bought a new pair of sunglasses the other day. Here's what they look like! Please excuse my hand!!

We've been watching disney movies and last weekend we bought Kingdom Hearts video game. He's really into video games and it has all of the disney characters in it so hey it's disney right. Well he wanted me to play it and lets just say I am really really not good at video games! Oh well it's fun and I get to see disney characters!! I got the sunglasses at Kohls (my favorite store in the world!), did you try looking there?

I love me some Kingdom Hearts. I haven't finished the 2nd one, and since DH disconnected the PS2, I might never. Maybe I'll have him hook it back up over Christmas and play the two back to back. I had to have a manual for it, cuz it's pretty involved!

Thank you!! Yeah it really does suck but I'm kinda used to it now. We've been dating about 3 1/2 years now and it's pretty much been like this the whole time. We talk every night though so that's nice. I'll be finished with school soon so I'll probably end up moving in with him. That's still up for grabs though, we'll see how things go! Kingdom Hearts is a video game, not sure what systems it plays on I know at least a playstation 2 cause that's what dbf has! You have to save different worlds from these creatures and all the different worlds are disney movies!! It's a lot of fun and I'm actually getting better at it. We got used ones really cheap, like $11 for the first one and $13 for the second one. Unfortunately the second one doesn't work so we're going to have to bring it back and hopefully find a new one! Oh well I'm still trying to get through the first!!

Haha, it is really fun. I'm just not so good at it, actually I'm not very good at video games in general! I am getting better though! My specialty in it is falling. I always tell dbf, if you need to fall in this game, I'll do it, I'm really good at falling!! :rotfl: Oh no you have to finish it!! I haven't finished the first one yet so we'll see how that goes and then we have to find the second one again cause it didn't work when dbf tried to play it. Ugh!! Oh we def. look up the walkthrough online in case we get stuck (which happens a lot for me!!) I think it's fun seeing all of the disney characters, it's fun and it combines my love (disney) and dbf's (video games!!) so it's a win win for both of us!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Pizzafari/Flame Tree Barbecue
Each room in Pizzafari is graced by the presence of different collection of animals that share some cateforical theme that ties them together:
The food service area is adorned with the images of ornamental animals-peacocks, parrots, butterflies, and fancy fish.
The dinning room(behind you when you enter) features animals that hang upsidown such as opossums, bats, and snakes.
When you enter the hallway to the rearr of the building you are treated to a collection of Oaxacon wood carvings of fantastically patterend animals in numerous combinations.
The room to the left is populated with animals that carry their houses-turtles, snails, kangaroos.
To the right is the room ofr nocturnal animals-owls, wolves, and raccoons.
Straight ahead, if you can spot them, you'll see animals that camouflage themselves in their habitants, leopards, tigers, deer, and polar bears.
(This one is really cool too because I always knew there was a pattern to all of them but just couldn't figure out what it was. I got some of them (like the nocturnal room) though!!)
Initially the Flame Tree Barbecue was to house an open-air amphitheater.
Notice that each of the pairs of animas on a given structure (ants and anteaters, snakes and mice, spiders and bugs) represents a predator-and-prey relationship. This even extends to the decoration of the tables and chairs.
The tables are adorned with prey animals and the chairs with predators, so that as you sit to eat your postition in the food chain is made clear.
(Oh the little details, I love them!!)

One Month from Today
Ok one month from today we leave!! Woohoo!! :cool1::banana: So I’m starting my one month from today countdown!! We will be leaving one month today on August 9!! We will be waking up no later than 3:15 in the morning but I have a feeling we’re going to be up much earlier, I just won’t be able to sleep!! We’ll get ready to go, make sure we have everything we need, thanks to my handy dandy packing list which I’ve been compiling since um like December :rotfl: we shouldn’t forget a thing!! We’ll leave Ian’s apartment at about 4:30 to make it to the airport no later than 5:15. We’ll stop at McDonalds on the way to pick up some breakfast. I have no idea why but when I go to Disney I love stopping there!! Probably because I used to eat at a McDonalds in one of the airports when I went to Disney with my family. We used to always get breakfast there and my mom would steal the little packets of jelly for our room!! I know I know we’re horrible people!! So anyway back to our day! We’ll hopefully get there by 5:15, park the car, and get all that stuff done at the airport. Ok to be honest I’ve never flown by myself, I’ve always been with my parents so I have no clue what to do!! I’ve never paid attention because everything was taken care of for me! So right before I go I’m going to have a little teaching session with my parents so they can update me on what to do with the airport and magical express! :teacher: Checking in at the resort, I’m fine with, for some reason I always pay attention to that!! Could it be it’s because we’re in Disney and I’m excited to be there so I’m fine tuned in on anything we do at Disney!! Hehe. Ok anyway (wow I have like ADD or something, I get distracted sooo easily!) After we check in at the airport we go through wonderful security. Yay!! (Ok anybody get the sarcasm there?) Then we wait. It shouldn’t be that long because we only got there an hour before our flight. The airport near us is not very big and our flight leaves so early that we don’t have to get there ridiculously early. Finally we’ll board the plane and take off (hopefully on time!!) We’ll be on the plane for like 2 hours or so delta’s website says but I’m definitely think it’s going to be less time than that. Oh did I mention while all this is going on Ian will be freaking out! It’s his first time flying and he’s is scared to death. So not only do I have to balance everything else and make sure we get there on time, I have to keep him from taking running back home as soon as we get to the airport!! Ok so our connecting flight is in Altanta, we have a little over an hour layover. But you figure by the time you get off the plane and get to the next gate it won’t be that long until we get on our next flight and finally make it to Florida!! Our flight lands at about 11:30 in Orlando. As we are landing I’ll look out the window and see…palm trees!! I love seeing palm trees!! It proves to me that we’re really in Florida!! We get off the plane and as you know I’m going to be jumping up and down with excitement. :dance3: Ian will probably just be glad we’re on solid ground again, he’ll be jumping up and down because of that! Ok so onto Magical Express!! Again I must find it, I have a general idea of where it is but this will also be part of my teaching session with my parents!! We board the bus (and hopefully it’s an actual Magical Express bus and not a regular Martz bus, I’ll even take a Cruise Line bus but definitely want a Magical Express bus!) As we walk to the bus I’ll feel the blast of heat that is Florida weather and revel in it (because right now it hasn’t even gotten to 80 up here in PA) And we’re on our way to Disney World!! I love watching the movie, it really gets you in the Disney spirit! Now I’m going to be extra excited because it’s Ian’s first trip!! Ok and I always pick a seat on the bus that gives us a great view of the tv because I NEED to see that movie! And I think it’s great for Ian as a first time visitor, it’ll get him excited!! (Hopefully!) We’re getting closer and I finally see the sign, you know what sign I mean. THE sign, the Disney World sign. We are now officially in Disney World!!!! Ahhh, my favorite place on earth!! Onto Pop Century we go. Hopefully we’ll be the first stop, historically Pop is the first stop and I hope it’s that way for us!! I’m expecting to get to Pop at about 1:30-2:00, we’ll check in and hope our room is ready. I’m thinking it might be but if it’s not we’ll sign up for the mobile room ready notification thing and head over to the food court at Pop, we probably haven’t eaten anything since breakfast at about 4:30 that morning so we’ll stop and get a late lunch. After that our room should be ready so we’ll had over and drop our carryons off there. I’m hoping Ian’s basket will be there but if not it’ll be there when we get back. Back from where you ask? Back from……………………..MAGIC KINGDOM!!!!! I must visit the MK and see the castle first on every trip to Disney. It’s really not an option, it must be done that way, no arguing allowed. So we’ll hop on the bus to MK!! I will get more and more excited seeing the signs and just being in Disney. Finally we reach MK. I’m hoping we can get there by like 3:30/4. These times aren’t set in stone, just a reference point. So we’ll go into MK!!!! As I pass underneath the train station my anticipation will be growing, I’ll walk around the buildings and there it is!!! Cinderella’s Castle!!!! I can’t believe it, we’re here!! It’s been so long and we’re finally here and I’m with Ian, the excitement will not be contained!! I’ll probably start tearing up, I’m tearing up now just writing this and thinking about it! So first we’ll take our time and walk down Main St for the first time together. At the end we’ll check out the tip board and see what the wait times are. We’ll probably start on some of the smaller rides that don’t usually have a long wait. This is all up for grabs depending on how long the waits are. We’ll do rides until we feel hungry again. I’m thinking probably around 7:30/8. We’ll stop in at Pinnochio Village Hous for a quick dinner. We’ll have the quick service dinning plan so it’ll be counter service all the way. We don’t mind and it’s cheaper! So after that we’ll scoot on over to Frontierland and stake a spot out for SpectroMagic!! I always sit in Frontierland, it doesn’t usually fill up as quickly as Main Street. We’ll watch Spectro and then head on with the rest of the crowds on to Main St to watch Wishes!! I think this is the perfect ending to our first day!! I love the nighttime shows at Disney, they always make me tear up and really feel the Disney Magic!!! Ok there are extra magic hours at MK tonight but I think we’ll be too tired to do any of it. We’ll probably stake a spot out outside Casey’s and watch the people fight each other to get to a bus stop that’s not going anywhere. I never understood fighting to get out, never made sense. So we’ll wait until most of them leave and see how we feel. If we’re feeling good we may do some rides if not we’ll head back to Pop. Hopefully when we get back our luggage will be there along with Ian’s basket!! I hope he likes it!! It’s been killing me to keep it a secret!! So we’ll unpack and then probably head right to sleep, we’ll be so tired!! Up tomorrow…Epcot day!!
Ok I realized just from doing this that my TR is going to be loooong!! This is ridiculously long and it’s not even full of details and pictures!! Oh well it’ll keep the magic going on long when I get home!

LESS than a month away!!! I really enjoyed catching up with your PTR and I hope you and Ian have a fantastic trip...I'm definitely subbing in and cant' wait to hear more!!!
That hour layover in ATL is what you will need to get from your gate to the other! I swear, it always seems like enough time, but just barely is! So that won't be bad at all.
When are you leaving WDW? If our trips overlap, we should meet up!

No we decided to do the photobook, it's just so cute and a great souvenir from our first trip together. My family has ordered one in the past though and it really is worth the money!

One Month from Today!
Ok so one month from today will be August 10. Today will be Epcot day!! Epcot opens at 9 today, no extra magic hours this morning. We’re not planning on doing any EMH, I really don’t like doing them. I have to wake up really really early and we found that it’s actually better (at least for my family) if we don’t go to them. So we’ll wake up about 6:45/7 to get ready. We’re going to bring down cereal bars and pop tarts for breakfast so we don’t have to buy anything. Neither of us are breakfast people so this works out well for us. We’ll hopefully get to the bus stop at 7:45 or 8. Hopefully the bus will come quickly and we’ll get to the park by 8:30. We’ll rush with everyone else to rope drop and wait!! Ugh I hate waiting!! When the park finally opens we’ll rush our little butts (ok mines not really little!) over to Soarin’ to get a fastpass. Then we’ll go back to the other side and ride Test Track and Mission Space. My goal on this trip is to ride everything we want once. Any more times beyond that is just a bonus!! So after Mission Space we’ll head back to the other side and depending on what time our fastpasses are for we’ll either go on Soarin’ or Living with the Land and then Soarin’. After that we’ll probably try to get on The Living Seas (yes I know that’s not what it’s called now but that’s what it always was to me and that’s the way it’s gonna stay!!) We’ll do the Clam mobiles if the line isn’t too long. This ride is eh for me. I’ll do it if there’s no line but I’m not going to wait a long time for it. Ok so after this we’ll do Turtle Talk with Crush. I love this show, I think it’s sooo cute!! I know he’s not in it but I think they should add Squirt. I think he’s adorable. I’m seriously tempted to get a Squirt plush this year. I’ve wanted one for quite a few years just cause he’s so cute! Ok after The Seas we’ll see what time it is and if we’re hungry or not. If we are then we’ll go to Sunshine Seasons for lunch, if not we’ll go to Journey into Imagination. I don’t like what they did with this ride but at least they brought Figment back. I miss the Dreamfinder though! I wish they would just bring the original one back. Even though this ride isn’t as good as it used to be I still need my Figment fix!! After that we may do Honey I Shrunk the Audience. If you remember from one of my top 5s I don’t like this ride but I still kept going on it year after year after year. Finally last year I put my foot down and said no I am NOT going on it again!! Well now I might cave in again. Ian’s never seen it and even though he says he doesn’t care whether or not he goes on it, I feel bad depriving him of seeing something just because I don’t like it. I want him to at least see it once and then make a decision about it on his own. So we’ll see about that one. Now by this time if we haven’t eaten yet we are going to be quite hungry. So we’ll head over to Sunshine Seasons for a delicious lunch! Ok so we’re almost done with Future World. I’m not sure what we’re going to do now. I know we still have the Universe of Energy left to do here but since there’s never a long line for it (at least I’ve never seen one!) we may wait to do this one. I think we’ll head over to World Showcase now and start doing the countries. I have no idea why but we always start with Mexico, don’t ask me why, we just do. So we’ll go over to Mexico and explore. I love the inside of Mexico, it so neat. I love looking around here! Plus we’ll go on the boat ride. Can’t remember what it’s called now. I know it used to be called El Rio del Tiempo so I’ll probably keep calling it that. Ok done with Mexico onto Norway! Ok so I’ve seen really long lines for Maelstrom and then really short ones so I guess if it’s short we’ll go on and if not hopefully we can get a fast pass to come back later. I’ll look in the shop here and probably get a Troll for my brother. He’s gotten one every time we’ve gone to Disney so I have to keep up the tradition even though he’s not here. Next onto China. I think China and Japan are my favorite countries. They have such a beautiful history and culture. I love the buildings there. So we’ll explore China for a bit. You know I keep reading stuff about the building the movie is in and I haven’t been in the building for years!! I don’t really want to watch the movie (and I don’t think Ian will disagree!) so maybe I’ll just go in and look around for a bit. They have beautiful jade pieces in their store (I think they’re in China) and I’ve always wanted a piece of jewelry so if I find something that’s not too expensive and I like it I may get it. Geez with all of the stuff I want to get I may spend the money I was trying to save on the hotel!! Oh well this trip is special and I’m going to let go and have fun!! (I better make sure my bank account is well stocked before I go!!) Ok done with China and onto Germany! I love looking around in the countries so we’ll hang out here for a bit and look around. After Germany there’s Italy. Now here is someplace I could go crazy in. Ugh there are so many pretty things here that I wish I could buy!! Of course all of them are probably out of my price range! I have always wanted a mask, they’re gorgeous!! So perhaps… Ok have you noticed that I want a lot of things and haven’t gotten any of them yet! What have I been doing all these years!! Oh dear well I may have to remedy that on this trip. Also my dad is Italian and they have these candy that his grandmother used to buy that are Italian, I’m not sure what they are but if I think I’ll be able to transport them without melting them I’ll get a few for him. He loves them and we always get them when we’re there! Oh and the store with the candy also just so happens to be the same one with the masks!! Ok forward, onto the American Adventure!! I love this show! I love the voices of Liberty before the show, they have wonderful voices. So I hope we get there in enough time to listen to them. Oh my dad found their cd the other day so now it’s on my Zune. I love it!! If we don’t hear them that’s ok but I would love to!! Ok so by now it’s probably getting late but since I’m planning on spending the night here we may not go back to Pop. On every one of my past trips we’ve always had an afternoon break but since I’m trying to finish things we may just relax in certain countries along the way and use up our snack credits to relax. This all depends on how we feel. If we do decide we want to go back we’ll head back to the hotel, take a little rest and head back to Epcot. We’ll also be doing Spaceship Earth along the way sometime, either on the way out for our break, on the way back in after our break, or on our way out at the end of the night. Ok despite what we do with our break we’re going to start back up with the countries. Next country is Japan, another of my favorites! We’ll look in here for a bit and see what we can do!! If Miyuki (the candy lady) is out we may watch her for a bit. Ok after this we’re onto Morocco! Morocco to me is a little secret because there is so much more back there than people think!! I love walking through Morocco and just look around! Next onto France!! Same basic plan here! Ok next onto United Kingdom! Again look around and see what we can find!! Perhaps the World Showcase players will be out!! Next we come upon our final country, Canada. Again look around and see what we can find. Ok sometime we’ll have dinner, perhaps late but we’ll play that by ear. We’re planning on eating at Electric Umbrella but hey that can change you never know!! Maybe when we have dinner we’ll do Spaceship Earth, that’s up for grabs!! Ok so after we’re done we’ll figure out what we want to do next. Either see if there’s fastpasses for Soarin’ (not likely!), Test Track, or Mission Space. We will be heading over to Universe of Energy and doing that. We’ll probably look in Mouse Gears and shop a bit but then we’ll head back to Pop!! Ok so I’m thinking of doing nightly swims. I read this on someone’s TR and I thought it was such a good idea so depending on how tired we are and how we’re feeling we may do this. I also want to walk around Pop and look around during the night and during the day because from pictures I’ve seen it’s a different experience!! Finally we’ll hit the sack and get some sleep! Next day…Hollywood Studios!!

Woohoo, less than 2 months!! I hope the time goes by fast too, this last month is a killer, just imagine that last day before you go, it's going to take forever!! I'll have to keep busy so the day goes by quickly!! Oh the 10 days will go by slowly, just take your time and relax a bit, you have 10 days!! I wish we could have gone for long but we both couldn't get more time off from work and it would have been too expensive but hey there's always next time!! :lmao:

Here are some pictures from our August 2000 trip!!
This is my mom's friend who lives in Tampa, she has a history with Hook and loves to fool around with him! Notice the hook she has instead of a hand!!
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/August%202000/scan0012.jpg
Ahh the evil witch!! Ok my mom's friend in the previous picture wants to work at Disney when she retires and she really wants to be the evil witch from Snow White, so of course we had to get our picture taken with her! Every time we see the witch we always yell "Hi Marilynn!!" (That's my mom's friend's name!)

Ok I searched forever to find Mulan!! Mulan is my favorite animated Disney movie and I HAD to find her!! And I did!!

I had to include a pic of Donald, he just wasn't getting enough face time on my PTR, poor Donald!!

One Month from Today!!
Ok one month from today will be August 11 and today we are going to…Hollywood Studios!! The park opens at 9am and believe me we will be there!! First we’ll do our normal wake up at 6:30 am and get ready. I know yesterday I said we’ll eat and then go to the bus stop but we’ll probably eat on our way. Hopefully the HS bus comes quickly and our goal is to again get to the turnstiles no later than 8:30. Ok time for rope drop. I love the little opening shows they have at each park, it’s such a neat way to start the day! Finally the rope drops and we fight the masses to get to Toy Story Mania!! We’ll grab a fast pass and probably get in line for a quick ride. I love this ride and I think Ian will too so this is definitely a 2 ride ride. Next we’ll go to Tower of Terror. I’m not sure if Ian will go on this one. I’m trying to get him too but that’s up for grabs, but don’t worry I will keep working on it. If he doesn’t go on he’ll at least wait in line with me and then take the chicken exit and yes I will tell him it's the chicken exit! This is one of my favorite line cues and I really want him to see it so he said at the very least he’d wait in line with me. Isn’t he an amazing boyfriend! But hopefully he’ll join me on the ride! After that we’ll head over to Rock n’ Roller Coaster. Now Ian will NOT go on this ride, he’s not a rollercoaster kinda guy so single rider line here I come!! I may ride this one twice, it’s one of my favorite rides and I love the single rider line. By the way I AM a rollercoaster kinda gal so you know I’m going on them quite a few times!! And hey I’ll have someone to hold my bags!! Oh dear poor Ian! By this time our fast pass for TSM should be up and we’ll do that again!! I know Ian’s going to do wonderful on this ride, he’s too good at video games, but maybe just maybe I’ll beat him! (Not likely but hey a girl can hope can’t she?) The next two things depend on times. I’m thinking perhaps doing the America Idol Experience now but again it all depends on the times. I’m also debating whether or not to do Indiana Jones Stunt Show. Ian’s not thrilled about this one, he’s not a big fan of Indiana Jones, in fact he’s never actually seen the movies!! So this one may be up for grabs as well. I don’t really care if I don’t see it as I’ve seen quite a few times before so this one may be a no do. I’m thinking probably by this time we’ll be hungry so we’ll probably head over to Backlot Express for some lunch since we’ll be right there if we do Indiana Jones and hey if we don’t do it then we can walk, it’s not like it’s that far! After lunch we’ll do Star Tours, hopefully the line won’t be long. If it is then we’ll grab a fast pass and come back later!! Next I’m thinking we’ll do Muppet Vision 3D. I love this show!! I think it’s so cute!! I remember watching the Muppet Show on tv with my family when I was younger! Ok this is really bothering me, I have yet to find the key under the mat!! I know where it is and I still forget!! So that is one of my goals for this trip, FIND THAT KEY!!!!!!! And I will do it gosh darnit!! I love showing up early for this show, it’s one of the rides that I don’t mind waiting for the show to begin because I love the preshow, it’s sooo cute!! Ok next I’m debating on doing the Backlot Tour, the more I think about it the more I think we’re going to do it but I will definitely be stilling on the ride hand side of the tram!! I don’t like getting wet and walking around in wet clothes. My family makes fun of me for it all the time but I just tell them to stop it cause if they don’t I’ll retaliate by complaining about how wet I am for the next 3 hours until I’m dry!! (It usually works and they stop making fun of me, oh the power of being annoying! :rotfl:) So after Backlot Express we’ll head over to One Man’s Dream!! I love this attraction, course I love learning anything about the history or Walt Disney and Walt Disney World!! I really want Ian to see this because I think it’s so interesting and really shows the true genius of this man!! By this time it’ll probably be getting later and once again it depends on how we feel if we go back to Pop or not. We may hit the road and take a little break and perhaps a swim at Pop. Again I may try to take some pictures of Pop during the day but hey that’s all debatable! We’re going to head back to Hollywood Studios again tonight because I MUST see Fantasmic!! I love this show, it has such a sweet theme and of course DISNEY MUSIC!!! My second obsession after Disney trivia is Disney music, I think that’s what’s lacking in a lot of current Disney music, no good music!! But before we go see Fantasmic we’ll stop for dinner at Pizza Planet!! Then we have to hit up The Great Movie Ride and The Little Mermaid!! I’m thinking by this time it will probably be time to get in line for Fantasmic since you have to get in line ridiculously early!! Oh well we’ll be able to make it. I’m not used to standing in line for a long time for Fantasmic cause usually my dad and my brother go wait in line and my mom and I go shopping or something until about 45 minutes before the show starts and then we go stand in line. I know we’re bad people and have my dad and brother hold seats for us but hey it’s not like we have 50 more people coming, it’s just the two of us!! My dad and brother have strict instructions though: You must get in the Mickey section and DO NOT be too close cause if I get wet there’s going to be some problems!! (Again my dislike of being wet!!) Ahh so finally it’s time for Fantasmic!!!! I just sit and watch, I’m mesmerized by this show, I love it!! Ok so after the show, it’s time to walk with the herds out of the amphitheater. We probably again will find somewhere to sit for a bit while the masses exit. We may try to look in some of the shops but usually there’s a lot of people in there but don’t worry we’ll do enough shopping during this trip, I always seem to fit it in there somewhere!! We must stop in the villians’ shop, Ian will love it! Finally we’ll take the bus home aka back to Pop. On my trips I always say we’re heading home when we leave the parks meaning the hotel, WDW just feels like home to me!! Ok again depending on how tired we are we may do a night swim and perhaps take some more night pictures of Pop! Finally onto bed to get rested for our next fun packed day at…Typhoon Lagoon!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Kilimanjaro Safaris
I have been so slacking with my trivia!! Ahhh!!
Kilimanjaro Safaris at roughly 110 acres, is almost the same size as the entire Magic Kingdom Park.
The landscaping for the savannah was one of the earliest projects completed during construction of the Park, in order to give the plant material time to take root before being subjected to all of the animal traffic upon their release into the habitat. The plants were in place for a year to eighteen months prior to animal acclimation.
The apparently random ruts in the vehicle pathway are actually very carefully designed to keep the “show” water in the road from intermingling with the “life support” water in the animal habitats.
Many of the flat-topped trees dotting the savannah are not really the African acacias they have been trimmed to resemble, but rather live oak trees with their tops flattened to resemble acacias. Real acacia trees would have had a very difficult time standing up to the constant feeding of all of the giraffes, who don’t seem to mind the switch.

One Month from Today!
One month from today will be August 12 and our Typhoon Lagoon day. When I was first planning this trip I was debating whether or not to go to one of the water parks. I didn’t know if I wanted to take a day away from the four parks. Then I thought about how much fun Ian and I had at one of the local waterparks, he liked it better than the regular park!! So that was it, we were going to a water park! And it became Typhoon Lagoon because it’s my favorite of the two and they have an awesome wave pool and we had the most fun in the wave pool at the local water park!! Ok so now really onto our plans for the day. Again we should be waking up at about 6:30am and getting ready for our day. I guess today we’d be able to sleep in a little bit cause there’s not as much getting ready to do but we’ll keep it at 6:30 for now unless we feel differently while we’re there! After getting ready time to grab our breakfast and get out that door. Typhoon Lagoon opens at 9am today so again we’ll try to be there, in line, no later than 8:30. The gates open and the mad rush begins. Hopefully this year we won’t get lost trying to find the wave pool!! Last year my family and I seriously walked around for what seemed like forever because we were lost. We eventually found the wave pool and got a good spot but geez when you get in there it really is like you’re walking around in a jungle, it’s so disorienting, at least for us it was!! So hopefully we get our seats pretty quickly and we keep them for the rest of the day!! Last year we had some problems with people but it wasn’t bad and we’ll only have 2 chairs!! I try not to take up more than we need!! Ok side not in this I’m debating whether or not I should buy a bag to use when we go to Typhoon Lagoon or just see what I have at my house. I’m very tempted to do some shopping!! Ok side note over! First thing we’re going to hit up is Crush n’ Gusher cause I believe that is going to get crowded very very quickly. I love this ride!! It scares me a little bit because I feel like I’m going to fall off but I hold on for dear life and smile my heart out!! (oh yeah I don’t scream on rides I smile like a crazy person!! Hey at least I don’t hurt people’s ears!!) Then we’re just going to make our way around and do everything we want. I do not like water slides where there are no tubes, I hate that feeling on my bottom of going down the slides so we probably won’t go on those. If Ian wants to he can and I’ll wait for him, after all he’s going to wait for me while I do my roller coasters so it’s the least I can do. I’m debating on doing Humunga Kowabunga. Now I know I just said that I don’t like waterslides without tubes but this one is a lot of fun so this may be my one exception! After doing all of our slides, whether we do them once or multiple times, we’ll head back to get some lunch!! Not sure where we’ll eat, there’s a few places we can with the quick service dinning plan, it’ll depend on where our stuff is. I’m hoping we can get our food and head back to our chairs to eat. After eating we’ll reapply sunscreen time!! Ian is quite fair and I burn pretty easily too (thanks dad for my lovely wonderful pale English skin!! I had to get that even though I’m like .2% English!!) Ok after lunch we may hit up the wave pool. I love this wave pool, it’s my absolute favorite!! The waves are so much fun! After that we’ll do Castaway Creek aka the lazy river as I like to call it!! After that it all depends on what time it is and how we feel. We may try to do some more water slides or we’ll head back to the hotel to get a shower and get ready for the rest of our night. After a quick rest at Pop we’re heading over to Magic Kingdom!! I’m hoping to do some more rides, stuff like the Jungle Cruise and the Hall of Presidents. I’m thinking of doing some of the not so popular rides because I think all of the other stuff will be too crowded by now but hey you never know we may get on some of the more popular stuff!! I’m hoping to eventually see the fairies!! As you can probably tell from my name I love fairies!! I’m sure the line will be too long now but we may head over and just take a peek! We’ll get some dinner at some point during the night. I’m planning on eating at El Pirata y el Perico but it depends on their menu because last time we went I didn’t really like what was there so this again is up for grabs. We may hit a restaurant we’ve already done, depending on how we feel. We’ve already seen Spectro and Wishes so tonight will be a ride night only! Magic Kingdom’s open until 10 tonight so we’ll have some time to do rides. After Wishes I think we’ll stay late and try to catch the Goodnight Kiss. I think it’s so cute and the first time I heard/saw it I got so excited!! So tonight will be our Goodnight Kiss night. After that we’ll head to the bus stop and back to Pop. I don’t think we’ll do our night swim tonight because we spent most of the day at Typhoon Lagoon and we’ll probably be water logged!! Today is over and tomorrow will be…Animal Kingdom (my second favorite park!!)

Typhoon Lagoon and the Kiss Goodnight!! YAY!!!!! Sounds like a real blast!!!
Thank you!! I hope we have so much fun!! I think we will, hey if nothing else we'll be together for an entire week and that doesn't happen because of our schedules!!
I count in weekends too :)
This weekend is open, the following weekend my parents are visiting and the weekend after that I'm in DISNEY! :yay:
Yay!! This weekend I don't have much planned, just watching some more Disney movies and playing some more Kingdom Hearts (we finished the first one and we just started the second one this past Sunday!!) Same plans for the following weekend, unless something else comes up. I think that weekend we may go see Harry Potter. I want to see it before we go and we hate going too soon after the movie opens so I think this weekend might be it!! The following weekend my family and I are going to visit my Aunt and Uncle in New York and the weekend after that we're going to Disney!! You have one less weekend than I do :sad1:

One Month from Today!
One month from today will be August 13 and today is Animal Kingdom day!! I’m so excited for this day, Animal Kingdom is my second favorite park right after Magic Kingdom!! I love animals and this park is just so fun and different from the other three!! Again we should be waking up around 6:30am and the park opens at 9am. Again we’ll get ready, have our breakfast on the go and head out to the buses! Hoping to get at the turn stalls no later than 8:30 but today and I think the other days as well, I have a feeling we’ll get there a bit earlier than that! After they let us in and we watch the very cute opening show we’ll fight with everyone else into the park! Usually when I go with my family we usually head right to Expedition Everest, grab a fast pass, and then head on for a ride but because Ian refuses to go on this ride as well it’ll just be me so I can use the single rider line whenever I want. I do love the line queue but to save on time and maximize our day I’ll just do a single rider line. I’ve seen the line queue before and Ian doesn’t want to go on it so we’ll forgo it this trip. Anyway back to our actual schedule, first we’re going to head over to Kilimanjaro Safaris, not sure if we’ll grab a fast pass and then head in or just head right into line. I’m thinking the line isn’t going to be that long because everyone rushes over to Expedition Everest so maybe we’ll be able to go on twice in a row. I really like this ride because I love seeing all of the animals!! Afterwards since we’re right here we’ll probably do Pangani Forest Exploration Trail. Ian’s excited to see the Gorillas. Don’t ask. I have no idea why he love monkeys, he just does!! So after Pangani we’ll probably head over to Asia and I’ll hit up Expedition Everest. Then head over to Maharajah Jungle Trek and check out the Tigers!! I love cats, I always have since I was a tiny child so seeing these beautiful creatures up close is the highlight of my day!! I’ve gotten some really great close up pictures of these guys so I’m excited to see them again!! Ian’s also excited to see the bats too!! Ok I have the shows planned throughout the day but these plans may change depending on the times for the shows. So for now I’m planning on doing It’s Tough to be a Bug, hopefully the line won’t be too long!! Next hope is to see my all time favorite daytime show at Disney, Festival of the Lion King!! I love this show…the music and the performers are amazing!! By this time we’ll probably be quite hungry so we’ll head over to Pizzafari for lunch!! After lunch it’s time to head to Dinoland, USA!! We’ll see how the line is for Dinosaur and if it’s not too long we’ll hop right in, if not then we’ll get a fast pass and come back in a little bit. After that it’s time for Primeval Whirl!! I love this ride too, it’s just so fun!! I believe that Ian will go on this one as it’s kinda like the Mouse and he can deal with that one so he’s probably going to make this one!! After Primeval Whirl we’ll head over to Finding Nemo to try and get a show in. I wasn’t going to do this one but I thought about it and it really is a cute show. I love Crush’s song, it’s so fun, but if you remember from Epcot, I do like Crush and his little son Squirt!! This next plan is a definite maybe depending on the time, Kali River Rapids. I was thinking of getting a fast pass for this and then coming back later but it all depends on the time and how we feel. You all know my aversion to being wet so if we have time to go back and change before our night time plans than we’ll probably do it, if not then it’s ok with me. Ian’s not a huge advocate for this ride either so if we skip it, it won’t be a big deal to either of us. I’ll probably try to make another trip onto EE, because I just love it so!! Ok so unfortunately AK is over, so sad. :sad1: Our next plans are up for debate because I don’t know what time it will be. If we have enough time we’ll go back to the hotel and rest and get changed, if not we’ll head right on over to Downtown Disney and DisneyQuest!! We’re doing DisneyQuest because Ian is a very big video game fan and I think he’ll have a lot of fun there, at least I hope so!! I’ve only done DisneyQuest once, quite a few years ago and I don’t remember a whole lot of it but I do remember a few rides that I really liked and must do again!! I’m hoping to get to DisneyQuest by about 4pm and stay until about 8 or 9. I think 4 or 5 hours will be enough for us, we have very specific things we want to do there so hopefully it won’t take too long. We’ll probably narrow it down even further when we get there and actually see the rides and see what we like or don’t like. Some of the things we definitely want to do are: Pirates of the Caribbean (I definitely remember this one from my last time here, it was the most fun we had here!!), Aladdin’s Magic Carpet (One of Ian’s favorite movies!!), and Buzz Lightyear’s Astroblaster (this one just looks like so much fun!!). Other than that we have a few that are a maybe if they look cool but these three are a definite must!! We'll eat at DisneyQuest too. Luckily the counter service place here is on the dinning plan, so that makes it pretty easy!! After DisneyQuest we’ll head over to the Marketplace for some shopping!! Of course we must go into the World of Disney Store. If I find things in the parks that I like and I think they’ll be here I’m going to wait and buy it all here because I have a 10% off thing with AAA, so very cool. I’m definitely going to hit up that Tren-D store, it looks very awesome!! And of course the Christmas store!! Ian really wants to see the Lego sculptures so we’ll head over to that store as well!! And if anything else hits our fancy than we’ll go into those as well!! So that’s the end of our plans for tonight. DTD is open until 11 tonight so I’m thinking 3 or 4 hours should be enough to shop, I can be determined if I want to!! After that we’ll head back to Pop and into bed, tonight is probably going to be our latest night but that’s ok!! So onto bed and the welcome relief of sleep after our busy day!! Tomorrow…Magic Kingdom!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Harambe
In Africa there is a bench with an engraving of “Uhuru 1961” on it. Uhuru means freedom in Swahili and this bench illustrates the element of the history that has been created for Harambe. The dating on this bench refers to an important political change that took place that year, and ties into all of the decisions subsequently made during its development since. The unspecified freedom gained during the fictional events of 1961 put the decision-making in the hands of the people of Harambe, allowing for the rethinking of the town’s economic development and interaction with its natural surroundings.
If you look at the paving at the entry to Harambe near the corner ice-cream stand, you’ll see the remnants of the old city walls. According to our history, Harambe was once surrounded by a fortress perimeter, but the only remaining signs are the footprints of the old walls in the dirt. This layering of history, while subtle, informs our perception of the age of a place.
It’s very important that it be clear that the Harambe the Imagineer chose to present is fully part of the modern world. The new power lines strewn about over the top of the old buildings, the “Computer Training” graphic on the wall, and the satellite dishes on the rooftops tell this part of the story.
Oh Ian and I also started buying some of our stuff to take with us on our trip!! Here's what we bought so far!
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1174.jpg
That envelope in the front is our customized maps. I was debating on getting them but they're just so cute! Oh and I have an amazing story about how Ian is getting more excited about Disney!! We ordered the maps and they have my last name on them so Ian mentioned that we could order more with his last name on them and then get them framed so we would have them!! OMG, he wants to do something with Disney!! He thinks it'll be a nice reminder of our first trip together and that it'll be nice to have hanging up when we have kids, so they can look at them!! I love it!! I got so excited about that!!

Thanks!! Tren-D just opened this year, I've never been but it sounds really cute! Yeah we figured if we start getting stuff now it won't seem like we're spending as much money!! :rotfl: I know i have all of these really cute clothes and I refuse to wear them. Oh well. I'll wear them at Disney and they I'll wear them next summer so I can buy all new cute things to wear on vacation!! You can order the maps from Disney's website. They're free and a cute little momento!! Unfortunatly they print them on both sides, for instance MK will be on one side and Epcot will be on the other. So this is another reason we want to order the other set!!

One Month from Today!
One month from today will be August 14 and our last full day at Disney. :sad1: Today we will start our day off with Magic Kingdom. I wasn’t really planning on keeping Magic Kingdom until the end, it just kinda worked out that way and I was a little worried about it but we are going to Magic Kingdom two nights previously so I think it’ll all work out. Again Magic Kingdom opens at 9am so we’ll be getting up at around 6:30 to get ready and grab our breakfast to go. We’ll probably get to the park earlier but our goal is the usual, 8:30 at the turn stalls. I’m actually a little lost planning what we’re going to do first because Space Mt is closed. I’m debating on whether or not to go to Fantasyland first and do that stuff or hit up Buzz Lightyear. I think we may do Buzz first and if Ian really likes it we’ll get a fast pass for later. Then hit up Fantasyland. I don’t have a real plan for which ride to do first just kinda walk down the road and do the rides along the way!! I’m excited to do Mickey’s Philharmagic, I love this show because of all the Disney music!! I love me some Disney music!! Ian has also agreed to go on It’s a Small World on the condition that I never sing the song again!! Of course I’m sure he’ll forget that and I’ll be singing away once again!! Since Haunted Mansion is next on the way we’ll stop there. This is also one of my favorite rides. I love the updates they did, I think they actually make the story apparent now!! (Jen are you ready to explore that attic!!) Next we’ll head on through Frontierland and grab a fast pass for Splash Mountain. I’m assuming at this point it will be too crowded to just wait in line for the ride so fast pass it is and we’ll head back later to ride it. I’m hoping to jump on Big Thunder Mt. as well without a fast pass. We’ve rarely ever had to use a fast pass for this before but we also haven’t been to Disney in August in quite a few years so we’ll see how things go. We may have to wait until after our Splash fast pass and get one for BTMR. Ian has actually agreed to maybe give this one a shot as well!! Woohoo I’ll get him on ANOTHER roller coaster!! Haha, we may have to watch it go past a few times before he makes up his mind but I think he can handle this one! After BTMR it’s on to Adventureland!! And of course the first ride there is…Pirates of the Caribbean!! Again I like the updates they did, they didn’t really change the ride too much and it’s still a classic. I can’t wait for Ian to see this one, he like the movies so I think he’ll really enjoy it!! Maybe while we’re here we’ll see Captain Jack’s Pirate Tutorial!! I want to see this while we’re here so if we haven’t seen it by now on one of our previous trips to MK then we’ll do it sometime today. By now it’s going to be time to eat. I’m planning on eating at Pecos Bill for lunch and lucky us we’ll be right there in Adventureland!! After dinner we’ll walk over to the Railroad and take a ride. Not sure if we’ll do the whole trip first, we may have already done it on previous nights but anyway eventually we’ll end up at Mickey’s Toontown Fair! We’re of course going to tour it and visit Minnie and Mickey’s houses and visit Mickey!! I may see how the line is for the Fairies too but from what I read the line gets really really long, so we’ll see. We may hit the Railroad again and go back to Frontierland to do Jungle Cruise (maybe) and the Enchanted Tiki Room (maybe, I’m not so into this one so if we’re not feeling it, it’s not going to happen). Right after this I start jumping all over the place when I did my planning, I’m not sure why I think I was trying to get the rides that fill up out of the way and then go back to the other ones, not too sure, I can’t remember from when I started planning!! So anyway, as I have it written down next we’ll do the Hall of Presidents. Then back to Tomorrowland and hit of the Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor and the Carousel of Progress. I love the Carousel of Progress, my family doesn’t really like it and ends up falling asleep but I can ride this ride over and over!! There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow shinning at the end of every day!! Sometime during our trip I want to ride the Monorail too, I’m not sure if they allow people to ride up in the front anymore since the accident but if they do then I’m going to try to do that, if not it’ll just be nice to take a ride. Not sure where I’m going to fit this in during our trip but I think we’ll figure something out!! Today we need to get back to the room to at least change our clothes and freshen up a little bit because tonight is our night at LeCellier!! And we don’t want to show up all smelly, do we! So that’s our plans for tonight. I managed to get an ADR for 6:15, so it works out perfectly!! We figure even if we take two hours to eat (very unlikely but hey you never know we may just have fun relaxing and enjoying ourselves at dinner!) After that we’re going to walk over to our regular spot (well my family’s regular spot!) for Illuminations. We usually go to that area inbetween Canada and Mexico. I figure 45 minutes should be plenty of time to get a spot! Then Illuminations!! I love this show too!! (Gee I really like Disney shows, huh!) I left this show for the last night because whenever I see it I think it would be so amazing to watch with a significant other. I don’t know why, just a feeling I get. I think the dinner and Illuminations is the perfect way to end our vacation, very nice and relaxing. So after Illuminations we’ll take a slow walk out of Epcot and enjoy our last night there. When we get back to Pop we’ll see how we feel and maybe take our nightly swim. We do have to pack tonight because we’ll be dropping our luggage at the airline check in tomorrow morning! :sad1: So after packing we’ll settle down and have our last sleep at Disney. :sad2: Tomorrow is our departure day!

Ok so here's two pictures from our December 1999 trip!! Now my dad always said from like our first trip to Disney that he would be in Disney for on New Years Eve for the milenium. My mom always just laughed and was like no way is that going to happen! Well fastforward to December 31st 1999 and guess where we were? Disney World!! My dad got his wish and we all got to spend the beginning of the milenium at Disney!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Maharajah Jungle Trek
The Maharajah Jungle Trek is in the ruins of a former sultan’s palace. It has lived a dual life over the years, at one point it was a hunting retreat where painted murals detailed the mastery of Man over the beasts he conquered, currently it is a protected animal sanctuary that show s the effects of the mastery of nature over the works of Man. The walls have been broken down by centuries and exposure to water. There are towers and smaller structures that have been practically disassembled by the force of the trees growing from inside. The aviary was formerly an interior space, a grand ballroom, as indicated by the decorative tiles on the floor and the formal columns in the middle of the room.
In the mural that flank the entrance and exit of the tiger-viewing rotunda are four former kings of Anandapur are depicted, each evoking through his stance and his dress different periods in the life of the palace. The first is a hunter, who moves out into the country to build the palace and hunt for game. The next king represents the sensual pleasures, with an urban view toward material wealth. Next is the conqueror who restores the temple after the damage of time and wars. Lastly, the hermit king flees to the forest, hiding from the people and suffering at the whim of nature.

One Month from Today!
One month from today will be August 15 and our departure day. I’ll probably be quite depressed this morning. I don’t want to leave Disney!! So we are going to be waking up a little bit earlier today because we need to finish packing and check in at the airport check in thing. Thank goodness our airline is a participating one!! I’m thinking of maybe going to Magic Kingdom again but I’m not sure. I guess we’ll go to whatever park we want to finish stuff up in. I really want to have the last park we leave be Magic Kingdom so I can see my Castle one last time!! I don’t want to leave my Disney World!! So as you can tell this day is quite up in the air. I do have our last lunch planned at Cosmic Rays so I think if we do go to a different park it will only be for a little bit in the morning and then we’ll head over to Magic Kingdom for lunch and perhaps a few rides. Our flight leaves at 5:30pm today so we have to leave the Magic Kingdom by like 1/1:30. So anyway after we have lunch and do a few rides I’ll say my last goodbye to the Castle and Magic Kingdom. Then we’ll head back to Pop and pick up our carryons that we’ll leave at the front desk at Pop. After that we’ll just wait for the Magical Express bus to come. I believe they pick you up around 3 hours before your flight so they should be picking us up around 2:30. Sadly we’ll say goodbye to Pop and then to Disney World. I’m going to be really upset on this day. Our vacation is over and we have to leave Disney World. We’ll go to the airport and board the plane. Hopefully this flight will be better for Ian because he’s already been on a plane and hey he might even like flying!! Not likely. We have a layover again in Atlanta and then it’s time to head on home. I’ll end up staying at Ian’s that night and the next day is Sunday so we can spend the Disney blues together. I hate unpacking so I’ll definitely put that off as long as possible!! It will be fun to give my family the gifts I bought them. I love giving people things. I’m going to make it seem before I go that I don’t have the money to buy they things so they’ll be really surprised when I get home. I love surprising people and giving them gifts!! Plus when I get home it’s time to start my trip report!! I’m so happy that I got to go to Disney with Ian and hopefully start the obsession in him!! Well I am not done with my one month from today posts so I guess you’ll just have to wait until I get home to see if any of these plans actually stuck and see if I answer any of those questions and possibilities that I posted earlier!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Kali River Rapids
The River you ride down in Kali River Rapids is called the Chakranadi River which is Sanskrit for “river that flows in a circle”.
The souvenirs of Imagineers from the Asia team can be found on one of the paddles on the wall of the booking office in the queue.
The big drop was mocked up on the grounds of WDI’s campus in Glendale for testing of the angle, the distance, and the splash.
Look for the image of a tiger’s face embedded in the rock wall at the top of the lift. It hints at the spirit of the mountain

Hi guys one more update for today. I went shopping with my mom today. Yay more clothes! Well the goal of this trip was to get some cheap shorts and a tye dye kit from AC Moore. Tomorrow we're tye dying with the kids at the daycare I work at and had to run out to get supplies. Well I did get my tye dye kit but I got some extra stuff along the way. Here are my most recent (and last, at least with clothes) purchases!!
One pair of shorts!!
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1176.jpg
These next pair of shorts I wasn't too sure about but my mom told me to keep an open mind and at least try them on. Well I did and as I was looking at them they started looking cuter and cuter. So I ended up getting them, they are so unlike anything I would ever pick out for myself but I like them!
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1175.jpg
Here's the top to go with those shorts. I think it's part of the reason I liked the shorts so much, the outfit together just looks so cute!
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1180.jpg
Ok so I was just going to wear a nice pair of shorts to our dinner at LeCellier but then I thought, hey I don't wear skirts that much, I really don't have a reason to so why not, I'll look for a skirt to wear so it'll be just a little bit more special! And this is the skirt I chose!! You can't really tell from this pic but it floats out a bit when I put it on and makes me look really skinny!! Extra bonus!! :cool1::banana:
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1178.jpg
This last pic is of the shirt I'll wear with with the skirt. It looks kinda plain but it looks really cute with the colorful pattern on the skirt!!
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1179.jpg
So that's it, hope you all like them!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Dinoland, U.S.A.
The Dino Institute was founded when the mother lode of dinosaur fossils reared its flattened and petrified head. It is a place of higher learning and deeply devoted to the science of dinosaurs.
The story of Dinoland is that there are grad students who are enrolled in classes at the Dino Institute. They leave their mark all over town through pranks and jokes. Some of the pranks they play are:
The addition of “osaurus” to any word, which evidently constitutes an improvement to any word.
Note the lawn chairs on the roof of Restaurantosaurus, and the plunger arrows stuck on the side of the adjacent water tower.

Yay, Mickey mail!! Ooo, it feels so good to have your trip payed off!! That's exactly what I was thinking of doing with that little case!! I've never booked with AAA, usually we just do things on our own but my parents are much more used to booking it than I am, first time I'm going without them so I figured it would just be easier for this time to have someone else do it for me. I have to say though I love our TA, she's very helpful and always dealt with my many relentless questions. I'm also nutts about my plans and I emailed her A LOT!!!! I did make my ADR by myself though, that I had to do on my own!! :) I actually have no idea where that lounge is, hmm I think I'll have to check that out!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Hollywood Boulevard/Sunset Boulevard
Sid Cahuenga’s One-of-a-Kind pays homage to the residents of Hollywood, nicknamed Cahuengas after the Treaty of Cahuenga, which ended the Mexican-American war in California. The name is derived from the village of Mocahuenga, located near a pass carved between Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, and Cahuengas were the final hold-outs who would not sell their homes when Hollywood was becoming commercialized.
As you make you way down Hollywood Boulevard, you’ll notice Magic Kingdom isn’t the only park with a reason to peek in the windows. Remember to glance at the upper-story windows along Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard to see who is advertising their services.
When you reach the junction of Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard, stand in front of the Tip Board and look down at the half-oval plate in the pavement. It is marked Est. 1928, the year Mickey Mouse was first featured in the cartoon short, Steamboat Willy.
Now turn around and look behind you at the building across the road from the Tip Board. It has the 1928 reference too at the top of its rather bland façade. Most of the shops and facades in Hollywood Studios are based on real buildings and this one takes its inspiration from the Culver City Ivy Substation in Culver City, California, a former train station that found its second life as a live-performance theater.
On Sunset Boulevard there are contractor’s stamps at various points along the boulevard with the logo Mortimer Bros. Construction Co. 1928 (and of course you all know who Mortimer was!!)
Carthay Circle Theater gift shop on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Highland, just before the Theater of the Stars, is a replica of the real Carthay Circle Theater where Walt Disney’s Snow White and the seven Dwarfs, his first full-length animated feature film debuted. (The original Carthay Circle Theater was located in Carthay, California, a residential district of Los Angeles, until it was torn down in 1970. Another famous film, Gone with the Wind, debuted there and it was one of the only two theaters in the United States that featured Fantasound, the sound system pioneered by Walt Disney for the animated film, Fantasia.
The shop to the right of Villains in Vogue was the intricate artwork at the top is s nearly exact replica of the 35er, the only bar in the Old Town area of Pasadena, California.
As you make your way toward the end of the street, look at the red trolley parked in front of Sunset Market Ranch. The trolley has a clever hidden date on the front and the side. Sunset Boulevard opened on June 2, 1994. This opening date is commemorated as the trolley’s umber, 694.
Notice the patches of red brick with trolley track showing through the pavement along Sunset Boulevard, just before you reach Tower of Terror and Rock n’ Roller Coaster, an area provisionally called Tinseltown Street was slated to open along Sunset Boulevard in the early 1990s with a Toontown Trolley ride, Baby Herman’s Runaway Buggy Ride, and Benny the Cab ride. Unfortunately, Tinseltown Street never made it past the concept stages. All that is left of the brilliant idea is trolley tracks, paved over and going nowhere.

Disney Trivia of the Day
Tower of Terror
Immediately after you enter the lobby, look at the wall directly to the right of the concierge desk. The Hollywood Tower Hotel has been awarded the AAA (American Automobile Association) 13-Diamond award, but AAA’s real rating system only goes up to five diamonds.
As you walk through the lobby notice a pair of glasses on the concierge table in the lobby. If you look closely you’ll see their lenses are broken. In the Twilight Zone television show’s episode, “Time enough at last” Henry Bemis finally has time to read the books he loves because he is the lone survivor of a nuclear attack. Just as he gathers his books around him, his glasses fall from the table and the lenses shatter, leaving him nearly blind and unable to pursue his selfish pastime. Sometimes the glasses here mysteriously move to the library so look for them there if you do not find them in the library.
Once inside the library where Rod Serling tells you the story of the tower (some of his own voice was painstakingly pieced together in part from the Twilight Zone Episode “It’s a Good Life”) you may recognize props representing various show episodes. Above the bookcase next to the TV in the library you’ll see the demonic popup device from “The Nick of Time” episode; the metal robot from “The Invaders” sits on the ledge above you; an envelope with the name Mary on the front from the episode “A World of His Own”; and the book from the “To Serve Man” episode (during which the townspeople were horrified to discover the alien’s benevolent-looking book was actually a cookbook!), rests on a table opposite and diagonal to the television monitor. The trumpet sitting on top of a page of sheet music in the library recalls the episode titled “A Passage for Trumpet” in which Joey Crown, convinced he will never amount to anything throws himself in front of a truck after selling his beloved trumpet to a pawn shop. He ends up in limbo and has to make a decision between life and death.
The Mickey plush the child star is holding during the preshow is an original Mickey Mouse plush.
When the pre-show ends, allow other guests to exit the library ahead of you so that you can walk through the rest of the queue at a slower pace. Just after you exit the library notice the fuse boxes on the left hand wall. Take a moment to give the handle a pull, you may get a surprise!!
Just after you enter the ride elevator look for the safety inspection certificate signed by Mr. Caldwallader indicating the elevator is in good working condition. The certificate is dated October 31, 1939, the day the Tower Hotel opened. The certificate commemorates an episode titled “Escape Clause” in which Caldwallader disguise as the devil grants immortality to Walter Bedeker in exchange for his soul if he chooses later not to live. The inspection certificate is number 10259 for October 2, 1959 and is the date the first Twilight Zone episode aired.
If you see a CM with gold epaulets you’ve found an original TOT CM. They have been working at the TOT since it opened!

I know, I'm so excited!! He's good!! I really do think he's getting excited, we're almost done with our Disney movie marathons and we've finished Kingdom Hearts and are about half way through Kingdom Hearts 2, I think it's really getting him in the mood. Haha I know, I want to pack already!! I already have all my outfits picked out and have most of our other stuff bought except for the stuff that we can't buy until right before we go. Of course we still haven't gotten Ian's luggage yet!! He has a duffle bag he was going to use but it'll be hard to carry and clumsy, plus it's way to big for what he needs. My mom found a sale at Boscov's for a rolling duffle bag for like $20 so I think I'm going to pick that up tomorrow and it'll be much easier for him to carry and not so big!!

Rock n' Roller Coaster
Listen for the various names being paged over the intercom as you work your way toward the sound stage; they are the names of the Imagineers instrumental in creating the attraction.
Concert posters line the walls, adding to the atmosphere as you queue, but some aspects of concert culture are not considered appropriate for a family theme park. The placement of the smaller American Flag on the MC5 poster is a bit odd, given that it is not originally part of the poster but instead has been placed there to cover up a marijuana leaf. If you look closely you will see it through the flag.
Check out the license plates as the limos pull up for takeoff. You might see UGOBABE, 1 QKLIMO, H8TRFFC, and 2FAST4U.
That intercom you heard before you reached Studio C is still trying to track people down. If you listen for one name in particular as you approach the boarding area, you may hear someone on the intercom say, “Phone call for Jude on line one. Hey, Jude! Pick up line one!” It is a clever reference to the Beatles song, “Hey Jude.”

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha!!!!! Just share one!! That's just craziness!! Yeah he has a huge cumbersome duffle bag but I think this one will just be easier. I pefere suitcases too but they're just too expensive and we don't use them enough to justify spending like $60 on a suitcase so this will work for him. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow and if for some reason I see an actual suitcase I like that's not too expensive perhaps I'll get that instead but the duffle bag will work fine. I love looking at old Disney pics, it was so muc fun going through them picking out my favorite ones. My favorite one is coming up in my last old picture post but you'll have to wait for that one!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Courtyard at Hollywood Studios
The courtyard area of HS is home to Hollywood’s Brown Derby restaurant which, in its original incarnation, played host to the best and brightest during Tinsel Town’s heyday. HS’s version also pays tribute to the stars whose portraits covered the walls of the landmark restaurant. The portraits in black frames are laser copies of originals; those in gold actually are the authentic portraits. Although the California-based restaurant no longer exits, it has been faithfully recreated here, looking just as it would have looked in 1946, with one exception: this Brown Derby has tables to accommodate a large number of guests while the California version only had booths, allowing for more privacy. Before you enter the main dining area, take a look at the guest book in the entry area. It has signatures of all the stars who have eaten in HS’s Brown Derby.
Mann’s Chinese Theater is a replica of Grauman’s Chinese Theater which opened in 1927. Sig Grauman, original owner of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in California, came up with the idea of casting stars’ footprints in cement, starting with Mary Pickford, Norma Talmadge, and Douglas Fairbanks. He also created the idea of the ultraglamorous Hollywood movie premiere. Look for actor Charlton Heston’s signature. Mr. Heston was interrupted as he was signing his name; when his focus returned to his work, he’d accidentally skipped the letter “l” in his first name. Hence, he is forever immortalized in cement as Charton Heston.

Ok I cannot go shopping by myself!! Ok ya know how I said I was going to Boscov's to get Ian a rolling duffle bag for his suitcase for vacation and the fact that it was only $20 was the main reason we were getting it well once again I cannot shop by myself ever again!! Oh I looked at that duffle bag and the amazing price of $20 but it was also next to the other luggage. ::sigh:: well the amazingly priced duffle bag went back on the shelf and this thing came home with me...
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1187.jpg
So yes I did in fact get Ian a suitcase and it is in fact an actual suitcase not a duffle bag but it did cost $20 more than I was going to pay for it.:headache: ::sigh:: I CANNOT go shopping by myself!! I end up spending more money than I anticipate!! Although I called my mom while I was there and she did not help matters at all!! Oh well he'll be able to use it again and I feel much more comfortable with an actual suitcase, probably isn't any safer but I feel like it is. So Ian now has luggage and now I'm out 20 bucks. Oh and I'm going out shopping with my friend in about 2 minutes and guess what she wants to buy? SHOES!!! Oh god maybe I should just leave my wallet at home!

Thanks!! Yes you did your math right, I mean it's not that much but I was going in there planning on spending only $20 but I must say even though it's more than I want to spend, I'm glad I got it. It seems like it'll last longer and I just like suitcases better! Ugh my weakness is definitely shoes, I seriously can't walk by shoes without at least looking, kinda the same way with purses too. I need a new one. My friend and I are going to a local picnic this friday and they have a stand with, as they call it, "gently used" vera bradley stuff and supposedly they're very cheap so I'm hoping to find something there!!

Yeah I'm definitely glad it's different, it's why I chose that one instead of the other $40 one, that one was just black and not very distinct. Ian likes it too. I sent him a message with the pic in it and he likes it so that's good!! Well I did not get any shoes, in fact it was a very uneventful trip. My friend got some stuff she needed for this wedding she's in but we were looking for shoes she needs. They need to be champagne colored so she was looking for a place that would dye them but seriously we couldn't find anywhere. Payless does it but they don't have wides, which she needs. It's good that I didn't spend any money. Unfortunately we're going out again tomorrow so there's still temptation. We're hoping to find a place that will dye her shoes!! Ugh didn't a lot of places used to do that, what happened to them!? I have not yet gotten the amika, I've been trying to find it in stores but I think I'm out of luck. I'll have to order it online, guess I should do that soon, huh. Haha! Oh I am so obsessed with Disney. My first trip was in 1995 and we've been back every year since!! Haha, my dad is my fellow disney addict. We love talking about disney together! I'm hoping Ian will love disney too!! My pics get really dorky for a while but hey that's me so I will post dorky pics anyway!! Then they get really cute, I'm not conceited or anything but I was one darn cute kid!! :rotfl:

Like the luggage and think you got a great deal for $40. He can use it for years to come, who knows maybe someday for your Honeymoon. ;)
I bet these days you would almost have to go to a bridal shop or somewhere that sales a lot of formal wear to get shoes dyed. I have done that since high school prom, awww the memories. :cloud9:

Haha, you never know!! yeah that's what we figured. She didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on them because she's really only going to wear them once. My mom also thought of like a prom store so we'll try those. Turns out we didn't go out today because she was stuck at work but we'll go out again soon!

Disney Trivia of the Day
The Great Movie Ride
During the gangster version of the ride notice the license plate number on the car in the shootout scene. It’s 021-429, a variation on February 14, 1929, the date of the infamous St. Valentine’s Day Massacre in Chicago.
As soon as you enter the James Cagney scene just after the Mary Poppins setting, look at the posters on the wall to your left. The bottom of one of them has been torn, and you can see Mickey Mouse’s shoes peeking out from behind. You may also notice shadows passing by the window of the Patrick J. Ryan building as you enter the same scene.
Keep looking to your left as you pass through the gangster scene. You may catch a glimpse of Mickey’s silhouette in the right hand corner of the Western Chemical Company building’s upper window.
In the cowboy version of the ride, you may wonder of Wyatt Earp will come strolling out of the scenery, and your expectation wouldn’t be unreasonable. The town you travel through certainly recalls Tombstone, Arizona, “The town too tough to die.” Cochise County Court House (indicative of the county where Tombstone is actually located) is on your right, covered in Wells Fargo posters offering rewards for the Most Wanted outlaws. The Tombstone Epitaph is on your left, a recreation of the real life Tombstone Epitaph, which carried the story of the gunfight at the O.K. Corral in the October 27, 1881, edition. Curiously enough, the University of Arizona’s Department of Journalism still publishes a paper under that name, with the tag-line “No Tombstone Is Complete Without Its Epitaph.”
If you look to the right in the same scene, on the Cochise County Court House building, just past Clint Eastwood you’ll see a sign advertising Ransom Stoddard, Attorney Senator Ransom Stoddard was a character played by Jimmy Stewart in the 1962 John Wayne movie, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
If you are sitting on the extreme left side of the tram, you may be able to read the computer monitors if you peer over the edge of your vehicle as you travel through the Alien scene. The screen titled Crew Status Roster shows a listing of the Imagineers and designers of The Great Movie Ride. Notice each crew member’s current status; some are listed as missing while others have humorous notations next to their names.
You will be able to see Munchkin Land shortly before you enter the first Wizard of Oz scene. Notice how the Yellow brick Road forms itself into the letter O at the beginning, and then trails off toward the second scene. When you reach the scene with Dorothy and her friends, look at the Yellow Brick Road as it ends in front of the Emerald City. Notice how it forms the letter Z, effectively tying both scenes to the word Oz.
Oh by the way, I saw a thread on here that said to check the August hours because they had changed and guess what...they're doing a second Fantasmic!!!!! So we are definitely doing that. I always liked going to the later one, usually less crowded and I hope that holds true for this year as well!! Oh and MK is open an hour later too, so very cool!!

I really like how it's set up, there's individual room for the babies and there's monitors everywhere so you can always keep an eye on their vitals. I really want it!!! It's only part time job, 2 days a week but with this unit they have 12 hour shifts and full time is 3 days so it's not that much less. Plus I can always take on extra shifts if they're available. I'm really hoping!! Can you tell I'm excited!! I've never been this excited over a job before!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Toy Story Mania
The large gateway you pass through is a replica of Pixar’s gateway in Emeryville, California, and the bricks used throughout the area were chosen to exactly match those at the Emeryville animation studio.
Once you pas under the Pixar gateway, walk over to the small building on your right. Andy has taped his crayon drawing of a Command Post setup on the window of the building’s doorway. Now turn around and look at the rooftops of the buildings on your left. He has set up his green army men, Scrabble game pieces, and Tinkertoys according to his hand-drawn diagram.
The blobs of pink and blue you see at the corners of the Lincoln Log creations are meant to be Play-Doh and Silly Putty, used as a quick fix to keep Andy’s constructions upright.
Some of Andy’s handiwork can be found on the wall just after you turn the corner past Mr. Potato Head, but before you pick up your 3-D glasses. Andy has painted some of his favorite characters; take a look toward the bottom of the finger painting where you see Nemo, just below him you’ll see a hidden Mickey!
Just before you enter the game itself, you will see the Toy Story Midway Games Play Set on the right hand wall, with a bar code on the bottom left side. There are several numbers around the bar code, but the number on the bottom left of the bar code is the number 121506. That number refers to the date Toy Story Midway Mania was officially announced as HS’s newest attraction in the making.
Before you leave the Pixar Studios area on your way to Streets of America, look at the poster advertising Toy Story Midway Mania, hanging from a light fixture to your right. The poster’s frame is made from used Popsicle sticks, stained so you can tell which flavor each of them was.

Disney Trivia of the Day
Muppet Vision 3D
As you approach Muppet Vision 3-D (from the Star Tours side) you will see a long wall topped with planters full of flowers. However one of the planters isn’t filled with a bouquet. Instead it’s an ice cream sundae. And if you look at the planter at the far end, you’ll see that someone already ate the sundae contained in that planter, leaving nothing but the spoon.
Look up at the clock on the front of Muppet Vision. That’s Gonzo hanging from the minute hand.
There are two bulletin boards on the left hand wall after you pass through the turnstiles. One is the Muppet Vision 3D World Headquarters Directory and the other is The Rest of the Directory.
If you arrive before the pre-show movie starts, watch for the test pattern as Scooter crosses from one monitor to another. It’s a hidden likeness of Kermit the Frog.
Hanging toward the front left hand side of the preshow area, you’ll see a poster of a Muppet that looks oddly familiar. It is a fitting memorial to the Muppets creator, Jim Henson, Muppetized, and with a movie camera lens around his neck.
Once you enter the theater, you can’t miss the penguins in the orchestra pit; they are obviously not paying attention to the sheet music in front of them. It’s actually the score to “The Rainbow Connection”, written by Kenny Ascher and Paul Williams and sung by Kermit the Frog in the opening number of A Muppet Movie.
The Muppets prefer to use their own brand of projectors, like the projector at the back of the Muppet Vision theater, make especially for them by Yell and Howl. A close look at the projector also reveals two familiar faces. A ball on top of the projector is wearing glasses, making it look a lot like Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, while the whistle’s bulging eyes are close approximation n of his assistant, Beaker.

Listen for an announcement asking the owner of a speeder whose license plate has the number THX 1138, and would they please remove it from the no-hoover zone. THX 1138 was the first movie made by George Lucas in 1971, an adaptation of a short film he created while at the University of Southern California.
As you enter the room with the moving baskets along the Star Tours queue, look over the railing at the bits and pieces lying around. See if you can find the robotic Kermit the Frog sitting on the edge of one of the shelves below you and to the left of G2-9T, who is working on another robot. Then watch the foot connected to the pair of trousers lying to the left of Kermit. It moves!
In the second room you enter as you are queuing, take a look at the boxes passing by overhead. The letters and numbers on them are the initials and birthdates of the Imagineers who designed and created the attraction, another silent but not quite hidden set of signatures.
The Star Speeder 3000 you enter as you board Star Tours is the same motion simulator technology used by the United States military to train their pilots.
Poor Captain Rex never had a chance. Once you’re back on terra firma and the lights come back on, take a look at the red tag dangling from his processor. It reads, Remove Before Flight. (I’ve seen this one, my mom and I found it and we thought it was just the funniest thing!!)
If you pass by Star Tours in the evening when the area is quiet and you listen closely, you may hear Ewoks talking, chanting, and drumming. But remember, they only come out after sunset. You can hear them best near the building’s entry and at the far end of the forest, an area that normally is unused unless lines are extremely long.
Be sure to look up at the treetops as you are listening for the Ewoks and you’ll notice their little huts light up with nighttime fires.
Oh and I also got a purse from a local fair, it's a vera bradley and I got it for $40!! It was originally $63 on the website!! I love it!! It's "gently used" but it looks brand new! You can't even tell! The pattern is Purple Punch and the style is called Morgan. Here's a pic of it!

Wow, what a cute purse! I love the colors on it!
Did you and Ian ever finish your Disney movie watching? And I don't remember if I asked before, but is he receptive to the idea of posing with characters? My BF will sometimes do it to humor me, but there are few characters he's willing to run up and pose with! I steer him clear of Jasmine, though. ;)
Btw, I have a new PTR up! I also intend to stop being horrible and finish my birthday TR.
What time is your flight the day you two leave? I don't know about you, but I usually can't sleep the night before I leave for WDW!

Thanks!! We have one movie left, we decided to leave Cinderella for next weekend as the last movie, to me it's just the essence of disney! Plus we're finally going to watch the planning dvd because Ian requested that we leave it right to the end! I'm not sure how he's going to be, I think he'll pose with them if I ask him to but I think a few he might be excited about. I think because we've been watching the movies he's more interested in the characters so we'll see what happens. Hmm yes steer clear of any pretty princesses!! I will definitely remember that one!! ;) I just posted on your PTR!! I just noticed it when you posted on someone's else's report. Yes I really would like to know how your trip went! Geez you're really trying to drag the report out!! :rotfl: We leave at 6:15am so there won't be much sleeping anyway!! We're going to try to get to sleep as early as we can but I think I'll be running on pure adrenaline all day!! yeah there's no way I'm going to be able to sleep!!

Thanks!! It's really funny, it's the pattern I saw on the vera luggage when I was shopping for Ian and I thought how pretty I wish I had the money to buy it! And now I have it, just in a smaller version! I love how much of a deal I got plus all the money went to help one of the local center for mentally handicapped children so it all went to a good cause as well. I got my mom boxes of Christmas cards for $1 because she sends them to all of her clients. So we all got some good deals plus we helped out some kids!!

Ok guys I have some good news and sorta bad news (well not bad but it makes me grumpy). I'll give you the bad news first, I thought I wasn't going to have to work on Thursday because we were going to my aunt and uncle's house in NY but my boss couldn't get anyone to take my shift, so now I have to work until 10:30, which isn't late but I really thought I was going to have the day off! It really ticks me off because whenever someone else needs a day off, I take their shift without problem and I work whenever they ask me to without complaint but god forbid they get someone to work for me! Sorry for the rant but it just pi$%es me off!! Oh well at least it's not all day and we're only leaving an hour and a half later than we were going to. Well anyway the good news (and deslynn you'll like this one!) I got myself a new straightner!! Well my mom bought it for me as a congrats gift for passing my nclex (at least that's my excuse but really I think she just bought if for me for no reason!) Well I hope I love it. It's called an Amika and it's my favorite color, purple!! Here's a pic from the website.
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/51Kv7WZbogL__SS500_.jpg
I must say I wasn't going to get it because the original price was $250!! :scared1: Well I found it for $144 :scared1: Still a bit much for a straightner and I could never have my mom pay that much!! Then I found it for $116 ok a bit better but geez I know it's supposed to be really good (thanks deslynn!!) but still over a hundred bucks for something to do my hair with!! Well I went to my new favorite place to buy stuff online...Amazon!! I love amazon!! I found it for $50!!!! And I got free shipping!! I'm so excited so my new straightner is on it's way!! I'm hoping it gets here before Thurs so I can try it out this weekend!!

I really should finish that TR! I'll be moving this weekend, but hopefully I can try to squeeze out an update for it this week. I guess it makes the trip seem more recent to drag out my report? :confused3 And I'm really excited about this upcoming trip! But I hope that soon I can make a normal trip again, not just these short trips!
Yay for Cinderella! I sometimes break out my planning DVD just to reminisce!
Haha, yeah that Jasmine is one to watch out for, with her bare midriff and all. Last year Rob's parents went to WDW for the first time in about 25 years, and they ate at the princess buffet in Norway. His mom got up to get some food, and apparently his dad got a hold of her camera. Because later she was going through her pictures, and there were several close-ups of Jasmine that she didn't take!
Cute hair straightener, by the way! Oh I know how you feel, I can't imagine spending so much on something I use to do my hair. I don't even do my hair all that often, so I usually go cheap on products and tools for it. My mom bought me a Chi hair straightener a couple of months ago in return for a favor, but I've only used it like five times. I'm still not very good with it. And a curling iron? I have no idea how you use one of those!!
Amazon.com is one of my favorite things EVER. I could spend hours just browsing on there! It's a great place to get good deals on stuff.
You're almost into the single digits, aren't you? If you're not already! :dance3:

Oh hun if your busy don't worry about an update unless you really really want to. Believe me I'll make it until you can!! :rotfl: Soon hopefully a true disney trip but hey I know a lot of people who would be jealous that you take so many trips (including me!) even if they are short! Oh we have everything planned our for that weekend, we still have to finish the second Kingdom Hearts, finish our last minute shopping, watch Cinderella and the planning dvd, and pack!! Ahhh but we've pretty much figured it out, thankfully that means we'll keep busy and the time will go by faster!! I love that story about Rob's parents!! That so sounds like something some of my male friends would do!! Haha, don't know if Ian would have the guts to actually take pics but I'm sure he'll definitely be looking. Unfortunatly Aladdin is one of his favorite disney movies so I'm afraid we may have to see her! I was debating the chi but I really want to try this one, deslynn says it's amazing and it takes me forever to straighten my hair so I'm hoping it really cuts down on the time. If it does hopefully I'll be able to do it more often!! Please there's no way I can figure out a curling iron. The most I get with curling is spraying stuff in my hair and scrunching it!! Oh I've found so many different things for cheap on amazon, I love it!! Tomorrow is my 10 days and then single digits!! :dance3:

Disney Trivia of the Day
Backlot Express
Eddie Valliant’s famous ride in the Toontown taxi was build around the frame you see over in the corner. Look at the bulletin board behind the car frame to see before and after photos.
On your way to the Toontown Taxi frame, you passed under a yellow submarine hanging from the ceiling. No it isn’t in honor of the famous Beatles song, but it is from the famous MK attraction 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The submarine was part of the background scenery you saw on your trip around the lagoon.
Exit through he doors on the right leading out to the upper seating area (as opposed to those exiting into the courtyard where the police car from Roger Rabbit is displayed). Before you exit look at the plaster casts on the shelf above the windows. While each one is interesting in its own right, the cast of the nun (second from the left) is particularly curious. So curious, in fact, that she notices everyone who enters and exits. Watch her eyes as you pass by; she is watching you!
Oh and Ian ordered one more last minute shirt for our trip. It's a Kingdom Hearts shirt. He didn't really like it at first but then he really wanted it. He's been looking for one ever since we've been playing it and finally gave in last night. We're hoping it makes it here in time!! I think it will, it was shipped today so just waiting for it to arrive. Here's a pic from the website!!

I know I'm so excited!! It took me forever to get it, I just kept forgetting to look online for it since I couldn't find it in any stores! Oh no, naught hubby, how could he!! It's not like ebay. They get products from companies and just sell them at a cheaper price (at least I think that's what they do! Seems that way!) They have new and used things, my amika is new. They had like 4 or 5 left when I ordered mine so if you want a purple one I'd get on it!! (I'm pretty sure they had different colors so if you can't get the purple one you may be able to find it in a different color) Plus it's free shipping for orders over $25!! No tax so it was exactly $49!! I'll remember not to drop in on the floor! ;) I am pretty clumsy though but I usually straighten my hair in my room and it has carpet so hopefully that'll help! I'll definitely let you know what I think but it seems like I'll like it! I would definitely check out amazon, I got books really cheap as well! I love it!!

Oh my goodness, the books section on Amazon owns me. Any time I see a book I want, I write a note to check it out on Amazon, where it's almost always cheaper. Did you see where they have the new 2-disc Snow White DVD to pre-order? It comes out the week of Thanksgiving, I think. I may have to order it in the next few weeks, since I didn't buy it when it was released several years ago and right now pre-order price is like $17. A few months ago, I got two seasons of The Office for $42 as a double-pack deal, which to me was a pretty good bargain. Normally one season is $30-35.
Alright, enough Amazon rambling from me! Back to the Disney talk!! :surfweb:

Okay, you must let us know on the new hair iron. I have not heard of that one. I have crazy hair. I have chi iron but am not that impressed with it. I just gave up on straightening and let it do whatever it will. Somedays it is really curly like a perm, some kind of curly, and some just wavy. Crazy hair.
Any news on the job, or did I miss that. You dont have long now. Love Ian's new shirt.
We leave on Sunday and I am literally bouncing from the walls and ceiling. :woohoo:

Oh I know, I really can't look at recomendations on there (or any book website for that matter) because I'd end up spending all of my money on books!! :rotfl: A really cool thing is that Ian works at a factory that makes books so he gets to bring home ones that aren't perfect!! Yay more books for me!! Sometimes I just go shopping for books at his apartment!! Unfortunately the books are whatever they're making right then so if I want a specific one I still have to buy them but still I find out about some cool new books for free!! Oooo, hmm Snow White...ok I cannot spend any more money right now!! Ahhh stop enticing me with new things!! Haha, I love amazon!! I will definitely let you all know how it turns out, unfortunately it might not be here until August 5 so it'll be a while. Yeah my straightner now takes forever, it takes over an hour to straighten my hair now not to mention blowing it dry (which takes at least another 10-15 minutes!!) My hair is so gosh darn thick! My hair's crazy too, it really just does what it wants! No real news on the job yet but I did talk to a parent at the daycare I work at who also works at the nicu and she said the nurse manager texted her the night of my interview and said she was really glad she interviewed me and liked me a lot so it seems like I'll probably get it!! yeah I really like Ian's shirt, I just checked the order and it'll probably be at his house tomorrow!! It was really quick!! That's good because we weren't sure if it was going to be here before we left! He's decided to wear it on the way down so you'll see it in pics then!! Sorry it's such a small pic, the pics on the website have been annoying me and I just didn't feel like fixing it! Congrats on leaving so soon!! Disney Trivia of the Day
Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
Indiana Jones controls the release of the spears on his way to retrieve the golden idol so he knows exactly when they will spring. But they are still real and he could get hurt.
The giant boulder doesn’t look heavy but in fact it’s made from 400 pounds of rubber.
George Lucas also wrote/co-wrote all of the Star Wars movies as well and the two series are tied together here at the Epic Stunt Spectacular when Indy delivers the line, “I’ve got a bad feeling about this,” just before the fight with the masked acrobats in the Cairo scene. This is also the same line Captain Rex said during Star Tours.
As you pass the entry to the show to the left of the entry down the path on the right hand side, there is a well with a sign saying, Do NOT pull the rope. Notice NOT has been crossed out; make sure you pull that rope!
Most guests walk right by the short pathway between the Indiana Jones theater and the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost, but it’s worth taking a quick look. Movie props such as World War I tank and an army truck can be found in the landscaping, while the roof of the Adventure Outpost harbors a cleverly disguised sniper’s outlook.
Today is my 10 day mark!! :woohoo::cool1::dance3: I'm still debating whether I want to do the online check in or not! I think it'll be neat and much quicker but at the same time I love the check in process (I know I'm weird!), it just makes me feel like I'm really there!! Any suggestions?

I ordered one book for a Literature class on Amazon once. The bookstore didn't order enough for the class, and so I ordered it on Amazon because we needed them ASAP for the class. A brand new copy on Amazon was about the same as a used copy in the bookstore, but I don't remember what the new book price was in the bookstore. It was definitely still cheaper. I wouldn't hesitate to buy textbooks there again!
Haha I want to be able to go book shopping at someone's apartment! :cloud9: Rob and I kinda do that in terms of borrowing books from each other, but I don't think it counts.
And I totally understand about the recommendations page! It's great because it's introduced me to a lot of great books that I would not have known about otherwise, but it's horrible because it makes me want to spend money! Most of the time I write down the books and try to find them at the library.

And my all time favorite picture because of the story that goes along with it! My mom's friend came to visit us on our trip to Florida and she was making fun of Hook, she said that it was a good thing that he wasn't left handed! (His hook is on his left hand) He got mad at her and put her in the corner! Haha, we were laughing about that the rest of the trip! It's still one of our favorite stories to tell!

Hi guys, I was able to get online at my aunt and uncle's house so thankfully I'll be able to check the Disboards while I'm up here in NY!! What would I do if I couldn't get on the boards all weekend!! :scared1: I'm going to try and do a mini TR when I get home, I'm just too tired to load my pics up on photobucket and write a long post and I believe it's going to be like that all weekend so I'll try to do that next week when I get home! A little mini update, I ended up having to work until 10:30 today and we got on the road about 11 and got up here by 4. Stopped during the trip for some McDonalds. Just hung around for the rest of the afternoon!! Saw some family members, took some pics, drank some delicious drinks!! Not sure what tomorrow's plans will be, we're making it up as we go!! I promise my actual report will be much better!!

Hmm I'll have to think about doing that (plus my parents will be happy cause they're paying for the books!!). I should probably get on that though cause I start in like 3 1/2 weeks! Hey that still counts, they're new to you right!?

Disney Trivia of the Day
Echo Lake
Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner, situated right on the lagoon, is more than just a relaxing spot for a quick snack, it’s also a tribute to the 1930 movie, Min and Bill, in which actress Marie Dressler plays dockside innkeeper Min Divot and Wallace Beery is Bill, her fisherman boyfriend. Dressler won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Min, who struggles tirelessly to spare her adoptive daughter the worst the world has to offer.
An inspection of the crates sitting on the dock to the front left of the dinner reveals Max Bialystock (from the movie The Producers) is eagerly awaiting a delivery from the Anita Doubleset Ledger Co., Charles Foster Cane (Citizen Kane) has place an order with the Rosebud Sled Co., and Rick’s American Café (made famous in the movie Casablanca) will soon be restocking supplies compliments of Quartz Wine & Spirits LTD.
Gertie the Dinosaur is more than just a quick snack stop during your Hollywood Studios visit, she is also a tribute to Windsor Mackay, a vaudevillian actor who created Gertie as an addition to his show. She was the first projected cartoon (and an inspiration for Walt Disney’s future works) in the days before multiplane cameras. It took over 14.400 drawings, done on rice paper, to create the desired effect and give the illusion Gertie was interacting with Mr. Mackay.
Eddie Valliant, Private Investigator advertises his service on the window above the Hollywood & Vine restaurant, to the right of Gertie and just across the pavement. Although he insists on “No Toons”, if you look closely you may notice Roger Rabbit isn’t far away.
Take a quick peek at the Cosmetic Dentistry building just around the bend from Hollywood & Vine and across from the Dockside Diner. There is a directory on the right hand wall next to the door that advertises for C. Howie Pullum DDS, Ruth Canal DDS, and Les Payne DDS.
The building next to the Cosmetic Dentistry has a For Rent sign in the upper window, which isn’t particularly compelling on its own, but as with all things Imagineering, it was placed there for a reason. When Walt and Roy Disney were just starting out, their initial base was in an uncle’s garage until they amassed enough money to rent their own studio space. They finally found a location they could afford, right above the Holly-Vermont Realty Company, whose logo you will see on the door below the For Rent sign. A nice tribute to a humble start.
Hey guys, still up here in NY!! A quick update, woke up did nothing, went shopping at some outlets up here, got some stuff for vacation (which you will find out about when I get home!), and then jumped on the disboards! I think the plans for the rest of the day is visit more family, go out to dinner (have no idea where!), and then have a drink while watching the beautiful sunset (or at least that's how I had it described to me!) Oh I have a travesty to tell all of you about! We were talking to my little cousin asking her what movies she has and she was telling us some disney movies and we were asking her if you this movie and that movie and can you guys what movie the poor deprived little girl does not have??? Cinderella!!!! Ugh it's horrible!! Well my family to the rescue, her birthday is in like 2 weeks so she will be getting Cinderella for her birthday from us!! The poor thing, not having Cinderella!! Well that will be remedied soon! Talk you you guys later!!

I definitely will!! I was all set to do it the other day when I was in NY but I realized I forgot all of my information at home! :scared1: So now I have to wait until at least Sunday night! But I'll let you know how the checkin is online and then how it goes at Disney!! Thanks, I love the pics, my favorite one is coming up the day before we leave but you'll have to wait a week for that one!! Well my amika is at home in PA while I'm in NY for the weekend. It rained there so I hope my neighbor brought it in or it possibly could be a bit wet but he went over to check on my cat so I'm hoping he saw it and at least took it inside. You have a good weekend too!!
Hey guys a quick update, I didn't get to see my sunset yesterday but I did have a delicious meal and a nice late night chat with my mom and aunt. I've been promised a sunset tonight though!! Today our plans are more shopping (hehe), perhaps some Niagra Falls, a cookout, and a Fireman's Field Days (which in PA we call a Fireman's picnic but I guess in NY they call it a Field Day!) so we'll see how much we actually do today!!

Disney Trivia of the Day
Fantasmic!
Fantasmic is cancelled more often than any other show in Orlando. Why? Consider the following: The large mountain rising up from the stage is made of metal, there are 1.9 million gallons of water in the moat surrounding the stage, the bench-style seats guests sit on are made of metal, and Florida is the “Lightning Capital of the World.”
(I know this isn’t trivia but it’s my favorite part of the show, good ol’ Mickey!!)
Hollywood Studios nighttime spectacular, Fantasmic! showcases Mickey’s struggle against the Disney villains (which also happens to be part of the premise behind Kingdom Hearts, the game Ian and I have been playing!) all with a happy ending and the chance to see many of the Disney movie characters. The riverboat ferrying the characters at the end of the show is a replica of the boat in Steamboat Willy. Notice who is up in the wheelhouse piloting the boat? (I know who, can you guess?!)

Hollywood Studios
In April 1985, the Walt Disney Company announced plans to build Disney’s MGM Studios.
The park cost $300 million and is based on “The Hollywood that never was and always will be.
On May 1, 1989, Disney MGM Studios welcomed its first guests, offering five attractions, two theaters, one exhibit, a walking tour, a handful of “streetmosphere” actors, eight restaurants, and four shopping outlets.
The attractions open on May 1 were the Great Movie Ride, Backstage Studio Tour, Superstar Television, the Monster Sound Show, and the Magic of Disney Animation with the film Back to Neverland. Also open was the Behind the Scenes Special Effects walking tour, SoundWorks exhibit, and Theater of the Stars featuring Now Playing. Shortly after the grand opening, on August 25, the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular held its first performance, with audience members playing bit parts in the show.
On August 24, the excitement surrounding the Star Tours attraction, due to open at the end of 1989, cranked up a notch as the Ewok Village opened at the future attraction’s entrance. Then, on December 15, the ride itself, based on the massively popular Star Wars films, blasted directly into thrill-ride-mega-hit fame.
Oh I got my amika today!!! I love it so far. I only did a little bit of my hair but even with just that my mom said my hair looked shinier and smoother and I think it might be faster to straighten but I’ll have to see when I do my whole head. Here’s some pics of it!!

5 Days!!!!!!!
Sorry I'm just getting so excited!! I've recently made a list of things I need to do each day!! haha, I think I got my listmaking sickness from my mom!! She mentioned yesterday she needed to make a list of things she needs to do, and I was just like, "thanks mom, I inherited you're pension for making lists!" Oh well, at least I won't forget anything! Of course I need to keep my lists with me at all times because if I remember something I have to do I need to write it down right away or I'll forget to write it down!! Anyway sorry for my tangent, here's some pics from my family's August 1996 trip (this was our second trip to Disney!)
Here's a pic of our block we bought!!
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/August%201996/scan0031-1.jpg
Here's my brother and I sitting at Rainforest Cafe!! My brother and I just thought these chairs were the funnest thing! We used to come to Downtown Disney on our last day on every trip for like 5 years, I think it was because we didn't have park tickets but when my brother and I were little we didn't care cause it was a fun thing to do! We always ate at Rainforest Cafe too!! It was a nice last day tradition!

OMG too excited!! The days just keep crawling by. I have to go back to work tomorrow and I'm just dreading it. I need to keep busy though so hopefully these next few days will fly by!! Today I cleaned out my car, wow was it full of things I so don't need in the car!! I still need to vacuum and wash the outside so that'll hopefully keep me busy for a day or so! Thanks, I like it so far but I need to do my whole head just to get the full effect!!
I can't believe it's so close! We just finished our summer semester, and wow, I just *barely* missed making a B in the hard class (and yowza, it was brutal!) Time to focus on Disney!:cool1:
Congrats on finishing your sememester!! Hey that's a good grade for such a hard class, I remember how much work you were doing for it!! So congrats on that!!

Hey hun!! Welcome back!! Yeah I was pretty prepared for rain, I remember from when we used to go in August and it rained every afternoon/night! I have a poncho from years and years ago, it's an AK one, it's tan with safari Mickey on the back, I love it!! It's now different because the ponchos are all clear plus I love AK!! Ian's decided he wants to buy one down there, I'm not a big fan of the cheap ones from like the dollar store and he doesn't want to wear one of the old yellow ones I have at home so a clear one it is!! I'm hoping for some strange reason we don't need it but I'm prepared for if we do!! I keep them in my backpack (overpreparedness I inherited from my mom!!) Thanks for the heads up though!!
It's so close, yay!! :cool1:

Congrats on finishing and doing so well!! Hey that's a lot to do in a month! Yeah I'm so not looking forward for the fall semester to start but I keep telling myself that I only have one more semester to go!! Yeah I can wait for my trip report to start!! (cause then my trip would be over!) :lmao: Thanks, I need to try it before I go cause if it really is quick then I'm going to take it with me and probably use it for our one dinner. If not I have other plans for my hair!!

Thanks!! I love amazon, glad you could find one!! I definitely like the jaguar one!! I was debating on that one! Did you get it for $50? I could tell the little bit of hair I did was shinier!! My mom noticed too! I don't straighten my hair that much so I'm usually ok with the whole giving my hair a break thing. I definitely straighten it more in the fall/winter too, it's just too hot and humid (usually) to do anything with it in the summer!! :) Oh I'm definitely doing a TR and I hope you like it as much as the PTR!! We are definitely excited!! I need to keep busy though, the days are taking too long!! I made a list of things I need to do and spaced it out between the days so at least I can hopefully keep myself relatively busy!! I do have work but I am so unmotivated to go!!

Today (last Thursday) was our travel day and our first day in NY!! I ended up having to go to work, which I was not happy about but I did get out about 10:30. We stopped at the post office and of course because we were in a hurry there was a ridiculous line!! We eventually left at about 11:00. Finally on our way!! I was excited to go, I hadn’t seen some of my cousins in over a year, and I was excited to see how big the little ones had gotten! It was a pretty uneventful trip. I fell asleep about 10 minutes into our trip and slept for a good two hours!! I woke up right as we were passing through Syracuse. At about 1:30 we decided to stop for lunch and our first restroom stop!! Now this is amazing because usually me or my mom has to go like an hour into the trip (what can I say we have a bladder the size of a pea!!) But this trip we actually made it a good half way through our trip before a bathroom break and I could have made it a little further. But we were getting hungry so we stopped at one of the rest stops along the way, I have no idea which one it was, they all pretty much look the same. We had some deliciously greasy McDonalds!! And on our way we were! I didn’t feel like sleeping again and I was feeling silly so I remembered a game we used to play when my brother and I were little, you have to find something that starts with every letter of the alphabet and it has to be outside the car. We used to have so much fun playing car games on trips when we were little so I decided we needed to play this game again! I convinced my family to play it and about an hour later we were on like W. Another half an hour later we were stuck on Z and had already given up on X and just decided to use Exit for that one. I’m pretty sure we never did find Z, kinda just gave up. I was sitting there and all of a sudden I was like, I need pictures for my mini TR!! OMG, how did I not take any pics!!! So I started taking pics of whatever was outside. Here’s a field we were passing by (there were a lot of those during the trip!)

After a while we had made it to the bridge to Grand Island (I think that’s what it’s called). Now I have always loved this bridge for some reason, don’t really know why so I decided to take some pics for you lovely people!!

Woohoo, we’re almost there!! We finally got to the town right next to where they live. We had to stop at a grocery store, I actually have no idea what my mom picked up there!! Haha, I have no memory of what was in that bag!! Anyway here’s me, my brother, and my dad waiting for her to get out.

My dad is just ridiculous!! Finally we got to their house!! My little cousin Ryleigh was there with her Nana (my aunt). Oh my god is she adorable!! She got so big since the last time I’ve seen here!! Oh she is funny too, always talking, and she’s so sociable. About 5 minutes after we got there she was dragging us around the house and having us push her on the swing!! My uncle wasn’t home yet so we just hung out for a little bit. My uncle got home just a little bit after that and of course we had another round of hellos to do! And the last person to show up was my cousin, Ryleigh’s mom. We ordered pizza and wings that night and just hung out for a little bit and of course had a few drinks. We are a drinking family, not drunk drinking, but we always have wine at dinner when we’re with family and a few drinks afterwards. Haha, please don’t think we’re drunks cause we are definitely not!! Anyway back to our night. After dinner and sitting out on the patio for a little bit my cousin and Ryleigh left for the night. My mom then wanted to map out how far she wanted to run so I went with her in the van to map out the miles!! Now is when the trouble began! As soon as my mom started up the van the check engine light came on. Oh come on you’ve got to be kidding! Well my dad came out and said it’ll be fine for tonight and they’d take it to Advanced Auto (or something of that sort) and see if they can figure out what’s wrong with it tomorrow. My uncle is very into cars to he said he would fix it if he could. Well my mom decided a little drive would be ok and we started to figure out her miles!! Well I love the houses that are in this area and had to take pictures of them so here’s some pics of the absolutely beautiful houses!!

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1207.jpg
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1210.jpg
And my absolutely favorite house of all times, if this house was in Florida (which is where I want to move in the next few years) I would so buy it!! I have always loved this house and refer to it as my house!!

Ok my aunt and uncle live in upperstate NY, right near Niagara Falls and the Canadian border. Well let me show you just how close they do live to Canada! I am on the road in front of their development and that shore on the other side of the river is in fact Canada!! That’s literally how close they are!! I always thought that was cool! So here’s the pics I’m talking about. (Plus they’re just really nice pictures)

So after our little drive we just relaxed for the rest of the night. We called it an early night cause for just sitting in a car all day, it is exhausting!! Well we said good night to everyone at about 10:30 and I went up to my room (which I love, it’s blue with a beach theme and I always stay in that room!) and hopped on the Dis for a little bit. Then I watched an episode of In Plain Sight (one of my favorite shows!!) and went to sleep! Tomorrow hopefully we’ll find out what the heck happened to the car and why when my dad and uncle get to together a project can never be just one day!!

Day two!! I must apologize I have NO pictures from today (the ones I took of my purchases I took at home). For some reason I didn’t take any pictures so I guess you’ll just have to visualize with the help of my words (I hope my words can paint a picture for you!) Today I woke up about 10:00am and went downstairs for some breakfast. Had some coffee, bagel, and oj. My parents had gotten back from their walk and we were deciding what we would do today. Well the main thing was that my dad and uncle had to get up to the car place and figure out what was wrong with our van. So we all get take showers and get ready. My brother woke up sometime during this conversation and ended up not coming with us and just hanging out at the house until we got home. Well my aunt, my mom, and I were all ready to go and guess where we were going, Shopping!! There are outlets by their house and we figured we’d at least look around. Well first we had to stop at the wine shop. It’s huge!! So we got a few things to take home with us and then we headed for shopping and my uncle and dad headed to the car place. First store we headed in was Bass. Now the one thing my dad told me to stay away from was shoes and of course the first store we went into was a shoe store!! Now I have to tell you it wasn’t my idea, it was my mom’s so I claim no responsibility for this decision!! Well my mom found white sandals which she has been looking for for years!! And she got a pair in black. Now I have been debating with myself if I should just wear my flip flops or try and get a new pair of shoes. Well I found these really cute sandals and they had such a cushionany bottom so I tried them on and low and behold they are extremely comfortable!! Plus they were on sale!! So I went to show my mom and see what she thought of them and she said they looked really good and went up to buy them with her shoes!! I so did not expect that, I was planning to pay for them on my own, what a great surprise!! Here’s the new shoes I’ll be wearing to Disney (plus the many that I will take as backup that I know I’ll never wear while I’m there!)

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1266.jpg
While we were there we also got three coupons for $5 off your purchase at three different stores. So we headed to the next store and for the life of me I can’t remember what store it was but my aunt found these really cute capris and with the sale and the coupon they were like$12!! So next store was Marshalls. My mom was looking for some more workout clothes and I was helping, not sure what my aunt was looking for but she did find some stuff!! Anyway it was a bust for my mom but I got the wonderful idea that I needed a cover up for when I went to Typhoon Lagoon!! Haha, I really need to stop buying things!! Nonetheless I did find a really cute, really different cover up. It was only $13, so another score for me!! Here it is!!
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1267.jpg
My aunt found a bed set for my little cousin Ryleigh and some containers that would match her kitchen perfectly!! My mom still struck out (except for the really cute shoes she had gotten earlier!!) Well I convinced her to head into a sports store and look around! Well she ended up finding a shirt and a pair of shorts for her run in the morning!! We were done and getting hungry!! So we headed back to the house to get something to eat and find out what was going on with the van!! When we pulled in the van was up and my uncle was underneath it doing something!! It ended up being something with the oxygen something or other (can you tell I have no idea with cars!!) Well it should have been an easy fix. They had gotten the part and were already working on it. NOT!!! It can never be easy with the two of them. Well the first problem was that they couldn’t get the old part out, so they let it soak a little bit while we had some sandwiches for lunch. After that we just hung out for a little bit while the boys worked on the car. Well the second problem came up, the people at the car place gave them the wrong part. Well it was getting late and we were going out to dinner so they decided to just pick it up tomorrow. My dad and uncle went to get ready, the rest of us were set to go. They got ready pretty quickly and we were headed out the door. First we were stopping at my other cousin’s house to see her, her husband, and her two kids. Her kids are adorable too!! I have such cute cousins!! We got a tour of her house first. I love her taste in house décor!!! I want her to come and decorate my house when I get one!!! She’s so artistic and just has great taste. Next we had a nice glass of wine and a few little appetizers. We hadn’t decided where we wanted to eat yet but we did know we wanted to sit outside. So we decided on a restaurant just up the road. Again I cannot remember what the name was but I do remember it was very very good. We started off sitting outside. There were two guys playing guitar there and it started off really nicely. Then the rain clouds started moving in right as we were getting our salads. We finished our salads and it started sprinkling. We decided it would be a good idea to move on inside. It kinda stunk cause we really wanted to sit outside and eat but still the food was delicious!! Let’s see if I can remember what everyone had!! My dad had some sort of spicy pasta with shrimp. My brother had another spicy pasta thing, not sure what was in it. My uncle had a burger. Not sure what my aunt had. My mom had fish of some kind. Finally I had fettuccini alfredo with steak. It was delicious!! I ended up taking it back to my aunt and uncle’s house but of course left it there when we headed home, I didn’t have time to eat it while we were there. After our lovely dinner we headed home. My uncle, dad, and brother watched what was left of the Yankee game and my aunt, mom, and I went into the other room to have a drink and just talk. It was a lot of fun. We relaxed and caught up a little bit. After the game was over we called it a night. It was around 11 something. I went up to my room and watched Fast and Furious before I went to sleep. Tomorrow another relaxing but fun day!!

Hey hun! We had a really good time, it was nice seeing my family and spending time with them. Haha, yeah we really don't get drunk, it's more like relaxing having a few drinks just chit chatting and hanging out. Yeah so not worth the next morening! :lmao: I love my coverup, it's so different! Plus it has sleeves which will be wonderful on those nice air conditioned bus when I have my wet bathing suit on! ;) Oh god those flip flops are soooo comfortable! the bottoms of them are just one big cushion, I really think they're going to work out! I always have back up shoes though just in case! Actually I have too many back up shoes that I know I'm never going to wear!! :rotfl: I am literally going crazy!! I just keep myself so busy that by the time I'm done I hope on the disboards, watch a little tv, and go to sleep just so I don't jump out my window or anything!! Oh I hope the weather is good. I checked the weather yesterday and so far it looks like rain :sad2: but I don't really put too much trust in it cause they're usually wrong. At least I hope they are. That would be awesome if it wasn't crowded. I hope it stays that way for us! I will take that pixie dust!! Thanks!!

Looks like you had a great lil' trip..I'm getting so excited for you!
Cute new stuff! My feet would *never* fit in those sandals, I have feet like Donald's. :donald:
I didn't catch it if you said you did or not, but did you all finish Kingdom Hearts? Did you play KH2? I never finished 2. I have so much to do this week before our trip, if I wanted to do the both of them (KH 1&2) I wouldn't sleep. The 1st one took me 30 hours, and that was *with* a manual! I was to the final battle in KH2 and just sat it down. :confused3 That battle in the destroyed castle with the dude who would shoot water (I'm so specific here, right?) was so stinkin' hard, I'm not sure I wanna go through that again!

Thanks!! I'm excited for me too!! ;) It was a great trip. I love going up there and I really only see them maybe once a year so it's so nice to see them and all of the little ones!!

I do have very tiny feet. Got that from my nonna!! We finished the first one and we're almost done with the second one. Ian said we'll probably finish it in like an hour or so. I have a "manual" too, it's Ian!! Haha, he played the second one through before me so he knows where to go and what to do. I get too aggrevated when I can't figure it out so using him saved us both a lot of headaches!! We'll finish it tomorrow so we can get it done before we leave!!

Our third day in NY started off pretty much the same as the last one! I woke up around 10:00am and went downstairs for some breakfast. This morning I had my usual coffee and oj and then some cheese Danish. My parents had both come back from their morning walk and were finishing up their breakfast. Ok so as you know from previous reports today my dad and uncle had to go back to the car place and pick up the new part because they had given them the wrong part. So that was their plans for the day and my aunt, mom, and I were going to Lewiston, a little town by their house, to do some more shopping. There’s historic Lewiston where they converted original buildings and houses from like the 1800’s into little stores. I absolutely love it and love going and looking at all the buildings and of course shopping! So we all got ready and departed our separate ways. My brother once again stayed home and did who knows what! So we were on our way to Lewiston and stopped at our first shop. I love the shops here, they have such cute little home decorating things in them and some of the shops are antique stores. Here’s a pic of the sign for Historic Lewiston! (I inherited my mom’s thing for taking pictures of signs!)
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1226.jpg
Our first store was a home decorating one. It was very cute, probably not stuff I would put in my home but they were really cute (remember I said I wanted my cousin to decorate my home when I buy one eventually and she’s more on the modern side) so we didn’t find anything in there (actually we didn’t find anything all day, this was more of a browsing day!). The next few shops were pretty much the same and we browsed and oooed and ahhed over everything. My favorite things were the pieces of wood you can hang on the wall that had Disney sayings on them (yes even in upperstate NY I can find something Disney!!). They were very cute! So onto more shops we go. One of my favorite shops was the Little Yellow Chocolate House (and yes that was what it was called, so cute!). Of course they had chocolate in there, very delicious chocolate I might add! It was a very very old house, I believe the oldest house there built sometime in the 1700s or 1800s. It was the first house built in Lewiston and there was a story behind it but I can’t remember what it was. We got some delicious chocolate here and brought some home for my dad, uncle, and brother. My aunt got three different flavored little truffles, my mom and I got sponge chocolate. I’ve never had it before and it was amazing!! I wish they made it around here!! Has anyone else heard of sponge chocolate? If not find some and get it, mmm I want some now!! Anyway here’s a pic of the Little Yellow Chocolate House.

(Sorry for the car, I kept trying to take a pic and the cars just kept driving by)
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1225.jpg
Our next stop was a little antique shop, I love this antique shop it’s full to the rafters with stuff. Very cute and interesting to look at. Our final stop was a local bakery. Now this is not any ordinary bakery it is the best bread in the entire world!! I mean it, I have never tasted such delicious bread!! We bought some for dinner that night and I wanted to eat the entire loaf now!! Here’s a pic of it and my aunt standing down in the corner. She didn’t know I was in the pic but I like the effect of her in it!
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l63/amunet12/DSCN1223.jpg
That was our final shop and we were ready to head back to the house but first we had to stop at the grocery store and get a few supplies for dinner tonight and order our breakfast for tomorrow!! After that we went back to the house. Since it was getting later we decided to just have some cheese and crackers for lunch. Tonight was our cookout/family dinner night!! Ok when we got back my dad and uncle had already been back and started to fix the car, thinking they had the right part now. WRONG!!!! Well they would have had the right part if the guy had put in the bag!! Nope the guy did not put the part in the bag. It was still at the car place. So they had gone back to get the part and were now home and finally the van was finished!! Yes after two days and 3 trips to the car place they were finally done!! Ugh that was a pain and it should have been so easy if they just had that darn piece!! So anyway they were finally done and we would make it home! So after a while all my cousins showed up with their kids, Ryleigh wasn’t there she was spending the weekend with her dad so it was just the two little ones, Tiegan and Ramsey. We started dinner and were just talking and visiting. We had a delicious dinner. My uncle made barbeque chicken on the grill. We had the wonderful bread from DeCamillo’s, a Greek salad, and corn on the cob. For dessert we had make your own sundaes!!! They were very good. Mine had chocolate chip mint ice cream with chocolate sprinkles and chocolate syrup (anybody get the hint that I like chocolate!!) After that we cleaned up and got ready to go to a fireman’s picnic (which they call field days but it was a picnic no matter what my family said!!) My cousin’s boyfriend was in charge there and my cousin was supposed to work it (and where was she supposed to work, the beer tent of course!!) so we were going to meet her boyfriend. We got ready to go and headed over. It was a whole 5 minute drive there so we got there pretty quick. The little ones were taken home and their parents joined us there a little later. We met my cousin’s boyfriend, who I must tell you is now her fiancé, he proposed to her on Monday and they set their wedding date for this November, yeah I know not a lot of time huh but we all really liked him so we’re ok with it!! Well we had a drink or two while we were there and decided to head home. We’re not really into fireman’s picnics but we wanted to meet the fiancé. So we headed home and decided to make a fire. My uncle has a nice little fire pit thing with tiling around it so it’s really nice. We built the fire and of course had a drink (anyone see a pattern here!!) We talked a bit and were going to go to bed when all of a sudden we started talking about old times. We used to go camping all the time with each other so we talked about those times and how much fun we had. It was nice reminiscing!! After that it was about 11:00 so we decided to call it a night and headed to bed. I went up to my room and started watching He’s Just Not That Into You. I started it but didn’t finish, I was tired that day! So I headed to bed and to get some sleep. Tomorrow: our departure day and a lot more pics!!

Today was our last day in NY. I woke up at about 9:00 and went right for a shower because some of my family was coming over for breakfast. So I got up, took a shower, and headed down for breakfast. This morning we were having breakfast pizza. I had never had breakfast pizza and it was really good. Eventually my cousin and her little ones came over. Finally my other cousin came with her (now) fiancé. We had a nice breakfast, talked a little bit, and got ready to depart. We said good bye to all our cousins and went to get in the van. Well of course another problem, we had a slow leak in our tire and had to fill that up. Finally we were ready to go. Since we didn’t get to see Niagara Falls on any of the other days we decided to stop and see it now. So we took our van and my aunt and uncle took their car and we met up at the Falls. Basically we just walked around and looked at the falls. They are really beautiful and I took a few pictures. Here’s a few of the Horseshoe Falls.

So after about an hour or so of looking at the Falls we headed home. We said our goodbyes to my aunt and uncle and got in the van. We started home and of course 10 minutes into the trip I fell asleep again!! What can I say I sleep on trips, I can’t help it! So I slept for a little while. Not sure how long and I have no idea where we were when I woke up. We stopped at a rest stop for a quick potty break and then continued on. I then finished watching He’s Just Not That Into You. It was a cute movie. We were getting hungry so we stopped for dinner. We ended up just stopping at a Friendly’s. I had the crispy chicken wrap. My mom had the crispy chicken salad. My brother got a blt. I have no idea what my dad got!! I can’t remember!! Oh well. We finished our dinner and headed home. As we were going of course we got stuck in traffic. We had a gps system but of course my dad knows the way and didn’t follow it. Well we eventually got tired of sitting in traffic and followed the way the gps told us and guess what, it was quicker!! So we were heading home once again. We got home a little after that and I unpacked (I couldn’t leave it packed, I had Disney packing to do!!) Well about 5 minutes after we got home I walked into my room and this is what I see…

Hey guys, we leave tomorrow!! I'm so excited and Ian is too!! I'm too ready to go!! I woke up this morning and it's freezing!! I can't wait for some warm weather and my favorite man, nope not Ian (although he's in a very very close second), it's Mickey Mouse!! Don't tell Ian!! :ssst: Anyway I'm planning on jumping on the disboards one more time today, just to say goodbye to you all before we go so to hold you over until then here's my last batch of picturs. These are from our very first trip to Disney World when I was 8 and my brother was 5 in August 1995. These are my absolute favorite pictures from any of our trips. The first pictures of us at Disney World, here are some of my favorites!!
When we were down there my absolute favorite friend when I was little just happened to be down there at the same time (it wasn't planned, just happened that way, a little bit of Disney Magic pixiedust:) So we met up one day and went swimming at the pool at Port Orleans French Quarter (when it was just known as Port Orleans and then there was Dixie Landings, now Port Orleans Riverside!) So here are her and me a the pool!

Aw, I love your picture with Mickey! So sweet! I don't remember meeting him for the first time, but we have it on video. I was 3 years old, so I was just in awe. My sister was only 6 months old, and she burst into tears as soon as she saw him! Mickey was a good sport about it, though.
I'll have to go back through your PTR and figure out what you'll be doing tomorrow after you get there. Have a safe flight, and I hope that you and Ian have a wonderful trip!!! :wizard:

Yes we will, we should be getting to landing in Orlando by about 11:30 and hopefully getting to Disney by like 1:30ish. I'll help you with the plans, we're checking into Pop Century using the online check in line (yes I got it to work!!) and then heading to the park if our room isn't ready. Awww your poor sister, I'm sure she loves him now though!! That video must be so cute!! Thank you for the good wishes!!

But I had some great things happen to me today, I got the job in NICU!! I started to fill out all the paperwork and all the blood tests and stuff today!! So I should be starting that soon! But anyway I should be starting my trip report soon, hopefully either tomorrow or the day after. I'm just finishing up organizing my pictures and we ordered our photopass book on sunday so hopefully that will come soon! We got some really cute pictures! Can't wait to tell all you guys about it!

Hey guys I know you're all excited to hear about my trip but I think I'm too exhausted to write a really good update so I think I'll leave it for tomorrow. Tonight I'm going to upload all my pictures and try to get them organized and I'll start with my first update tomorrow! Sorry for the hold up but with going back to work and then spending the rest of my time getting ready for my new job I'm just exhausted at the end of the night. I will definitely have something up for you guys tomorrow. Please don't leave I promise something will come soon!! :flower3:
