Finally finally finally! I have been telling myself for over a month now that I was going to start this and now finally I am. So I am already very far into my planning but I figured better late than never! Oh and I'm not the best at writing but no more excuses! I am going to do this!

Our Story....

So me and DF have been dating since June/July 2006. My brother became friends with him at work and I guess brought him home one day to introduce him to my sister. He was trying to get them together. OK so I know what you may be thinking.... Umm she stole him from her sister? But just follow me here. I'm definitely not that type of girl. So we all went out to a local amusement park and I think they may have gone on a date or two. So after there second date my sister realized that her best friend was really into her. So she decided to pursue that. No hurt feelings we were all really good friends and all of us hung out from time to time. So when my sister decided to go back to school to do a summer class it was just me and Mikey! As the weeks passed I started falling for him and the night that I kind of wanted to tell him, he told me that he had joined the Marine Corps. :sad2: My heart sunk! Was I really that horrible that I forced a man to join the military to get away from me... :rotfl2: So anyways we started dating like one week before he went to boot camp. Our first date was white water rafting and it was AMAZING! And then he left. It was really hard with him in boot camp but we sent letters back and forth and we made it through. I have to admit I was really worried about boot camp changing him but when he got out he was still the same guy. Here are a couple pics: (Gotta love a man in uniform  )

So now fast forward about two and a half years later............

Our Engagement...

It was my birthday weekend last November. I turned 23. Didn't really think anything special of it. But boy was I in for a surprise. So it started off at the Marine Corps Ball on Friday November 7th. It was so much fun! I made a big deal about getting all dressed up and I work at a spa so I got my hair and makeup done there! So we went to the ball and had a great dinner I met some of DF's fellow marines and spent the night in Quantico, VA. (That's where he is currently based.)

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/n1016493163_202169_5363.jpg

So after the ball, DF told me that we were going out to dinner for my birthday and that I should pick a restaurant. So it was picked and then of course the day of the weather was cold and we were going to the harbor so I did what any girl would do... I complained. I told him that I didn't want to go and that it was cold and we could go another time. Well he wasn't having it and we went. :rotfl: So we got there and we ate a McCormick and Schmick's. The food was really great but the service was terrible. And apparently when DF made the reservation he told them that he was going to propose afterwards and it was my birthday and the service was still terrible. Shame on them. :sad2: So DF told me that we had to go to the water to open my gifts. I told him we could open them in the car but he insisted. I again complained because it was FREEZING and I was wearing my little black dress and opened toed shoes and it was FREEZING! So again he said we were going to the harbor and we went. At this point I was a little frustrated because it was cold but I went. We walked down to the place where we had our like 3rd or 4th date. I completely forgot about it until we got there and I thought it looked familiar.

Down at the harbor he had 3 boxes. Each box was labeled past, present, and future. So when I saw this I got excited but last time I got excited about a ring I get a necklace instead. So I tried to be calm.

So the first card said in this box are hearts with our past memories on them. So I opened the box and there were these:

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/Photo183.jpg

There was a memory of our past two and half years together on each heart. There were 23 of them because of my 23rd birthday. A couple of the things were the scene from the movie during our first kiss, our first date when we went white water rafting, and our first trip to disney when everything was not very magical. :rotfl2:

The second card said present and the note said something like, “In this box is your actual birthday present happy birthday!” There were some candies and a couple books. It was very cute. One of the books was mad-libs of love. Which was really cute because I hadn't done those since I was little. At this point I look up at him and he had a tear roll down his cheek and I was like “hey man you o.k.?” And he just nodded and said that he was really happy. So I went on to the next box.

The third box. The card was labeled future. At this point I peeked in the box just to see if there was a ring but there was nothing. And the card said, “In this box you will find blank hearts that we can create our future memories on.” So I opened the box to find blank hearts. So at this point I got up to thing DF for the best birthday ever and he was done on one knee. And then I just about lost it. He asked me to marry him and I just hugged him and was screaming a little and freakin out. And then he asked me if that meant yes. And I said yes. It was really really really sweet and romantic and AMAZING. At that point I was crying a little and I realized that I was cold so we went back to the car and began to call all of our friends and family!

So that's all for now. Thanks for sticking around for our long engagement story. It is definitely one of my favorite stories. More to come later tonight!

So we're getting married! YAY!!!! Ever since I was a little girl I knew that I wanted to have a DFTW. I did the college program a couple years ago and went to one of the DFTW seminars that they have and I fell in love all over again. So when DF proposed I think the second thing after I said Yes was, “We're going to Disney World!” :rotfl:

So I called DFTW and everything was a little out of our price range but I figured we had time to save up and it was fine. Little did I know that DF wanted to get married pretty soon! His time to get orders is coming up and he wanted me to be listed on them. So I went from planning 18 months out to about 6 ½ months out. I freaked! :scared1: And then I thought we can do this. So we then checked out Shades of Green. I knew there was a military resort but I wasn't sure about pricing. I have never been there or stayed there but I've heard wonderful things about it! Also when they started to slash 0's off of the price of a DFTW there was no question. :thumbsup2 We were to be married at Shades of Green. And the great thing about it is that it is combining our two worlds. For me the Disney side and for him the Marine Corps side.

So first off SOG is a short walk from the Poly. Here is a map for all of you who haven't been there.

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/SOG-DIS.jpg

We are getting “hitched” on June 25th, 2009 @ 2 p.m. in the Gazebo. We are expecting to have about 30 people. Originally we were going to have a cocktail reception to follow but because of a drop in our numbers and this crazy economy we have just decided to do an escape style wedding and an @ home reception. I was really bummed about this but I know that my friends and family understand that times are tight and what's really important is that we are married. Plus this opens up the possibility of of a DFTVR in the future. :goodvibes

Some pics a friend of mine took when she was at SOG:

Our colors are navy blue and pink with silver accents.

Our rings:

My ring is an aquamarine. I have always wanted this stone. I love how it's a pale blue and how the color really pops against the diamonds on my wedding band. DF's is Tungsten with a diamond in the middle and the funky design on the sides.

I got my dress at David's Bridal.

Here are a couple of my pics:

I am also wearing the veil that is in the picture. Excuse my hair for being a hot mess! I wasn't planning on finding my dress that day! and my tiara believe or not I got it from walmart. I don't have a pic of it but I have a pic of my wearing it as I was pretending to be princess of my home. But apparently in Ashley's home princesses still have to do dishes.

We are having 1 MOH and 2 bridesmaid. Also we are having 2 Best Men and 2 groomsmen. I haven't found my sisters (MOH) dress.

So I picked my vendors as soon as I was new I was getting married at WDW which was like at the 7 month mark. A couple of my friends were like I can't believe you've chosen them already but I know that when you get married at WDW it's important to get the goods early! So here are my choices:

PHOTO - So Randy Chapman is going to be our photographer. With my DF being a photographer for the Marine Corps, this was one of the things that he really cared about. I had chosen someone else but once DF saw Randy's work he was basically told me that Randy was going to be our photographer.

VIDEO - STVS is going to be doing our video. His work is really great and I love the fact that he has the live webcasting, which we will be doing because everyone can't make it down to WDW.

HAIR/MAKEUP - Ana from Beaute Speciale. This is the one thing that I am a little worried about but I'm sure it will all work out. I am not going to be able to come down to FL for a trial run, but I have seen her work and I know it will be great.

CAKE - BAKE ME A CAKE pastry shop and bakery. I found them on the knot and the guy there was so nice to me. Again without being able to go down for a tasting made it a little difficult but can you really go wrong with raspberry and chocolate gnache. We were having a really hard time finding a bi-racial cake topper and DF didn't want to go with Mickey and Minnie so we put a little something different.

These cakes were a little bit of inspiration:

http://www.bakemeacake.net/images/wedding_cakes/weddingcake06.jpghttp://www.bakemeacake.net/images/wedding_cakes/weddingcake25.jpghttp://i340.photobucket.com/albums/o336/jaymo206/0844_2058.jpg

I love the ribbons on the first one, the swirlies on the top of the second cake for our cake topper and the mickey swirls will be incorporated on the cake. Oh and there will be polka dots incorporated somehow. Polka dot is our safe word so if an argument gets to be to much or if we're goofing around and it gets to serious we say polka dot and that's what makes it stops. I know it sound really weird but that is just our word.

I told the bakery shop to have fun with it and make it look great. They told me that if something starts to not look right they will call and we can figure it out there. I think that I am the most excited about that! I love to eat!:lmao:

Hey Ashley!

I have just read you post on my pj and realised that you have written to me a lot and i have been soooo bad and havent seen your pj!! Well, yours is new and its great!

I cant believe your proposal story - very similar to mine with the memorable place that Ashley proposed, the first place you had a date. Wayne proposed to me in the same place where we had our first kiss 1000 days prior to him proposing. hehe!! When i read that little heart he put in the first box, it made me go all funny- it was so cute (like ya know, i felt the waterworks brewing!) and it was so cute that it was on that special night of his and your birthday and too funny about you was complaining!! (same as me- if you have read mine, i was moaning because i had to meet him unexpectedly wearing old clothes, no make up, not washed, not bushed teeth ect! hahaha)

You guys are a really good looking couple too, and you look so cute and happy and content in your photos!!! Show more photos of you both together you are too cute!

I think SOG weddings sound fab, shame i cannot have one! I was driven past the SOG resort when i met Diane the DFTW sales coordinator drove us round our site visit! It appeals to me because of the great discounts! (always looking for a bargain me!)

I love your dress, thats great you found it in your first trip- (again same as me-well it was the second shop i had gone to in the day and i found the dress straight away!) and you look great in it- did you have to order it made to fit, because in the photo is looks like it fits you great already! Way hay yeah for the Walmart tiara! Darn i love that place (i am wierd, i HAVE to go there when i go on holiday to Orlando!!)

So yeah, i love your plans so far! I cant believe you are doing it all in 6months! You are clearly mental gal!! hehe!! I am (as well as alllllll the girls on here) are here for ya if you need any help or advice!

(ps thanks for the get well posts you sent me!! x:flower3:)

So I need your advice.

So I told my BM's that they could wear whatever dress that wanted to as long as it was navy blue. So to my surprise they picked the same one. So I guess I just assumed that my lil sis, would do the same but she doesn't like it. So I was ok with that and I told her that we could go to the store and pick out a different ones and that it was fine. So I'm happy she's happy and everyone is happy just how i like it! ;) So this past weekend my mom went to the thrift store, which she absolutely loves to do, and found a dress that she said that my sister could wear. So at first I am thinking.... she got a MOH dress from a thrift store.... this should be good. And then I saw it and I think I like it but I don't know. My sister is the maid of honor so she can wear her own style right? But what do you think?

These are the BM dresses:
http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/s09_f13277_canary_2accpsdxmlcmp-col.jpg
And this is the dress for my MOH :
http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/P1010721.jpg

Here is the link to what it actually looks like on a person:

http://bridal.threaddesign.com/press/wpics.php?id=24

The dress is dark blue but with a darker navy blue trim so the trim would match the BM dresses. I know that it is longer so I would have to get it taken up at the waist. But hey for 10 bucks from a thrift store you can't beat it. I would love to know your opinion. I think that the dress is beautiful I just don't know if it goes. Thanks!

SO what do ya think?

:goodvibesYa know, someone probably bought that dress for a wedding and only wore it once before they sold it to the thrift store. I bet it is practically brand new, so I say do it, it looks really pretty and if your little sister is happy then all is good! I love the pic of the dress, what a great find your mom had! Also, how old is your sister?? The reason I ask is becuase the longer length might work well if she is still a teen ya know? It may make her look a little more "covered up" lol (I teach teens dance and I am constantly shocked at what they wear... my folks would never have let me out of the house in some of the super short mini skirts they wear now!! (LOL, sorry off topic)
My MOH's tried on the dress you picked for the BM's at Davids as well. It looked great on the girl that was a size 2, but my other MOH who is not a size 2 was very self-consious and didn't really like it, so keep that in mind too if your sister is not comfortable in the Davids dress.
So I vote Thrift Store Dress, it's sooo pretty Ashley! A+ to your mom!:goodvibes

Umm yeah, I totally agree with you about kids wearing stuff they should not be wearing. My mom would have let me have it if I came out wearing some of the stuff that I see out there. My sister isn't that much younger (22) but she is tall and shaped differently than the other BM's. But I think you really can't go wrong with a $10 dress and she looks nice in it. I think I am just stressing out for no reason.

My mom is the queen of the Thrift Store. She came home a couple of months ago with a pair of UGG boots that she paid $5 for! I don't know how she does it but she has an eye for good stuff! She Rocks! :cool1:

I like that dress, i would buy it, i would wear it. Most importantly, if she likes it and YOU like it, then you dont need to worry hun!

My garter

I got it at Davids Bridal. It's one of the few surprises that I still have for DF as I am really bad with keeping secrets.

My shoes!

Hey Ashley

Congrats on getting a PJ started!! I feel like such a slack for having taken so long to get over here. Here are my thoughts - in one big lump!!!! :rotfl:

First off - what a good looking couple!! Secondly - your engagement story is so sweet. Sigh... I am a sucker for a sweet story :lovestruc Love it!!!

Here is the stock photo: http://www.brides.com/images/vendor/dressgallery/bridal/davidsbridal/00_main/9v9364_primary.jpg

Here are a couple of my pics:

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/p_00045.jpg http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/p_00041.jpg.

BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES
We are having 1 MOH and 2 bridesmaid. Also we are having 2 Best Men and 2 groomsmen. I haven't found my sisters (MOH) dress.

THE BM's dresses are both going to be navy blue. Here is a pic:

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/s09_f13277_canary_2accpsdxmlcmp-col.jpg

HOPE TO ADD MORE TOMORROW!

I LOVE THE DRESS!! I think the hot mess goes for any of us - don't feel bad. The tiara rocks as well! And we have the same princess problem in my house - Princess Meg also has to do the dishes.

Polka dot!!! BRILLIANT!!

So basically, I love everything - I have nothing really of substance to add, because I think you're doing well on your own. I agree with Sam on the MOH dress. It was probably worn once and sent right off to the thrift store. It looks beautiful.

I'll be down at SOG in May - if you need any more pictures let me know and I'll get a few and send them off to you!!:goodvibes

Hi Ashley, it looks like everything's falling into place for you!! Have you decided how/if you are going to decorate the Gazebo yet?

Thanks Kel! I am so happy that things are finally starting to come together. Disney floral is going to decorate it with tulle and I am going to hang my Mickey Pomanders. I was originally going to do it all but I figured it would be one less thing to do and also if it rains and we get moved inside than i figure they can decorate inside as well. Also we are going to put rose petals on the ground and we are doing a sand ceremony so a table will be set-up too!

Hi ashley....I just found your TR and it sounds great. Do you live in Baltimore? You were talking about the Harbor and McCormick and Schmits and It sounded awefuly Baltimore-ish to me. I live in Baltimore.

Your wedding sounds great! I can not wait to hear more about it!

Hey Lisa! I actually talked to you before through e-mail! I finally started my PJ and it feels so good to get all of the ideas into written form! I live in Columbia which is about 20 minutes south of Baltimore. I work in a spa that has a location there so I like to go up all the time! Thanks for reading.

And Meg thanks for your big lump of comments! I am also a sucker for any type of sweet love story! :lovestruck Thanks for the offer to take some extra pics. I am bummed that I won't be able to go down before the wedding but I know it will be great! BTW! I hope you have a great time at Kelly's wedding and have a good birthday trip!

We aren't to sure where we are going to be stationed. He is currently stationed in Quantico, VA which is like an hour south of Washington D.C., but he has been there for two years so it is very likely that he will get transfered soon! He wants to go to Okinawa, Japan.... I wouldn't mine Camp Le Jeune, NC because it's a little closer to home. :rotfl2:

JUST WANTED TO LET YA KNOW......

MY DRESS IS A LITTLE... JUST A LITTLE TO BIG!!!!

I am sooooo excited! I am going to post picture probably later tomorrow because I couldn't get my camera to work last night! :cheer2: Yay!!!!!:cheer2: In the pics before that dress was a size bigger and it fit like a glove. :thumbsup2 And I was very excited but then when I got to David's Bridal to pick it up it was ordered in a size too small. :scared1:

So instead of making a big fuss I just decided that I was going to fit into it! And now it's just maybe a little too big! I am soooo excited!!!!! YaY!!!!

But I'm going to keep working out because I still have to buy a bathing suit for the HM...:scared1:.

I have lots of drama to tell you about but right now I am on cloud 9 :cloud9:, so I will just let y'all know later on today. YaY!! Go ME!
It's time to do the banana dance!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

So I have a couple things going on that are stressing me out and really any advice would be great.

So I was going to have a friend of mine who I work with fly down with me and do my hair and makeup because she does a great job, but she has stood me up the past two weeks and I know that I can't take that chance. I feel really bad because she has had a rough couple of months and I figured that if I paid her the same I was going to pay someone else she could use that toward a vacation. But I just can't really take that risk. I just feel bad bringing it up with her.

So on to the next thing which really is bothering me but not as much as it was. A couple of weeks ago my engagement ring went MISSING. :sad1: I have been really down and upset and it's been getting to me but I have been trying to stay upbeat because I didn't want DF to see me upset. He put it on his living room table with some other things of mine and when I went to pick it up it wasn't there. I am so relieved to have insurance but still it won't be the same. :sad2: But I am working with the insurance company this week to get everything taken care of so yeah that's that.

And last but definetly not least DF just found out that his best friend who was supposed to be one of his best men can't get off of work to come down. He works for the French embassy and his coworker took off our wedding week while he was on his mini-vacation. I think she planned it that way but that's just me. So I feel really bad because DF has done everything for me to have my wedding @ WDW and now his best friend can't make it. I was going to try to move the date but at this point it is a little to late. I just feel so horrible. I've talked to DF and he said that it's about us and he loves me. I just feel really lucky to have a DF that is soo understanding.

Sorry for such a depressing post. I guess things just happen sometimes. I'm not too down because after my dress was a little to big I got soo excited and it helped me get through all of the crappy stuff! Thanks for reading and any advice would be great.

Hi there, I saw your post about wedding troubles and I wanted to lend my moral support! Turns out I actually have more to say than just that.

I think with your friend you just need to bring it up with her that you're worried about her and about her ability to keep up with everything she has commited to, and that you need to know what's going on and that you can trust her. It sucks, but this is not something to have hanging over your head.

With the engagement ring? Mine disappeared under "mysterious circumstances" just a little while after our first anniversary. It was horrible, but after getting it replaced, we are mostly okay with it, since it's this new ring that will hopefully become the family heirloom type thing. So yeah. I feel your pain and I am so sorry you are going through this!

Thanks it really helps! I feel really bad about my friend because I know if I just go with either Ana or Patricia I won't really have anything to worry about but I just want to give her a chance to have a disney vacation.

The whole ring thing isn't so fun. :sad2: But I'm hoping we will find it under a seat cushion or in a corner in the basement somewhere. The insurance people said that the cat probably got it or something. I told DF that I won't be able to have a cat for a very long time. :rotfl2: Thanks for your support I really appreciate it!

Your missing ring reminds me of a friend who has two ferrets. They take everything and hide it! I'm sorry you lost your ring though. I understand the sentimental part and I hope you find it soon!

Like someone else said, just talk to your friend and see what she has to say. I can't believe how close your wedding is getting though. It's going to be here in no time!

Note to self: No ferrets for a while either. :rotfl2: Just Kidding. That is crazy that pets do stuff like that. I hope I find it. But I'm just glad that we have insurance.

I'm going to talk to my friend but I think that I'm am just going to go with Ana @ Beaute Speciale. She knows what she is doing and she is dependable. I was telling DF that I already have enough to stress about and one more thing just isn't really necessary. But we'll see what happens.

And I can't believe it is getting so close either. I just made a couple of ADR's and I was like YaY!!!!! Less than 90 days to go! Your wedding will be coming up before you know it!

Wow Ashley - I'm sorry all that is going on. I think you're going to be doing a good thing for going ahead with Ana. You def. don't need to be stressing over that. And what if she does drop out - you would be left desperately searching.

And I'm so sad about your ring. :sad2: EEK!

You've got alot going for you though which is good to balance the craziness. Esp the DF and the dress! OMG - I'm so happy (first I'm happy then, I'm sad - this is a very polarizing post!LOL!) about that for you. That rocks!! :thumbsup2

I agree with the other posters about your makeup...I'd just go ahead an book with Beaute Speciale. You can always tell your friend that you want her to be there for you, and her not have to worry about makeup and stuff. (Like you're doing her a favor!) :goodvibes You really, really, need someone you can count on 100%

I'm so sorry you can't find your ring. It'll probably show up in the strangest place (the day after you get back from your Honeymoon, of course!) Hang in there kiddo, I know it must be so upsetting.

I totally feel you on the ring thing.

Two years ago on our first Disney cruise I ended up losing my high school and college rings. Basically they got knocked into the trash in the room and the trash was emptied and incinerated before I realized it :scared1:

Needless to say now whenever I take off my ring it goes straight into its ring box!

Hopefully yours will turn up and it's not a pile of molten gold like my college ring is :sad2:

But yey for the dress being too big! That is beyond awesome! :thumbsup2

Oh that's too bad about your rings. I think that part of what makes it so frusturating is that I used to put the ring in the box when I wen't to bed because I didn't like wearing it when I sleep. So now I still have the ring box sitting on my desk and nothing in it. :sad2: But it's ok I have filed the claim with the insurance people so I should have my new one soon. And this one I will super glue to my finger!!!

Thanks everyone for your support. This whole ring thing really got me upset but I'm getting married in about 2 1/2 months and I still have some things to do! So I'm moving on... Hopefully without losing anything else.

Not too much to update you on. I have a couple of things going on this week so I figured I would send an update your way. Thanks for reading!

My family is planning on moving this month, at first Mom didn't factor me in to the room count, and I freaked a little, but then she thought about it and she realized that she wanted to have somewhere for me and DF to stay just in case. I don't know if anyone else has dealt with this but I finally realized that after June I'm not going to be my momma's little girl. It was definitely a weird feeling.

So this week I have a couple of things going on! First...
:woohoo::dance3: IT'S SPRING BREAK!!!:dance3: :woohoo:
I am so excited. And not because I am going anywhere special, but the break will be a great time for me to take care of wedding stuff and not feel like I'm forgetting to do something with school stuff.

I am also having my first dress fitting this Saturday. I am using a local seamstress and her work is great and she is such a sweetheart. Plus she charges about half of what David's Bridal charges and any bit helps. :thumbsup2

So I don't know if I mentioned this but I went to pick-up DF's ring about a week ago and when it came it was too big. I guess who every sized his finger didn't factor in the comfort fit. :confused3 But anyways I actually just got a call while writing this that his ring is available to be picked up! :goodvibes: So I will have a pic of that later.

Oh and last but not least I got a package in the mail and it was from Disney Floral Department.:yay::yay: I get really excited When something from Disney comes in the mail! So I open it up and there are 20 mickey crystals. Originally I wanted to have my bouquet made by WDW but then I realized that it was really expensive and could have someone make my bouquet for a lot cheaper. When I told them this and that I really wanted Mickey crystals Rose said that she could make some and send them to me! I know I probably could have made some myself but this was just a whole lot easier.

So that's all for now! Thanks for tuning in!
:tinker: Have a magical day!pixiedust:

Catching up on PJ's today, and I just have to tell you how sorry I am about your ring. That is no fun, at least you were smart enough to insure it. My friend accidentaly flushed her ring down the toilet... her fiance was not too pleased because she decided she didn't need insurance on it yet when it happened... so her new ring is much smaller then her original because he couldn't afford another big ring and a wedding. So thankfully yours is insured and taken care of in that aspect.

Thats awesome that you got mickey crystals in the mail, what a great idea! Now you can have your own florist make it for you, awesome!:cheer2:

Just wanted to post a couple of pics....

Me and Mike (DF) finally finished invitations over the weekend. Well they were for the most already finished but we just had to put them together. We made them very simple with a little disney flair. Here are a couple of pics:

and one thing Mikey had to have was the wax seals which came out pretty good:

I love the invites Ash.. where did you get the wax stamper thingy? I have been looking for some and the ones i have seen are crazily priced!! i think its such a unique touch- i have never been sent, nor seen a waxed closed envelope!! and its silvery wax- even better!! i love them!

How did you do the invites anyway? They look like they are pro made- because of the silver outlines and hearts - i am not good at printing things on a home printer or changing the settings so you can print at home on fancy cards ect!

the disney font just tops it all off- i am using the disney font too! you couldnt not eh!!??

welllll doneeee yooooouu!!

Thanks! I had a friend say they were a little to Disney. I had a very puzzled look on my face and that's when I said well you know I'm getting married at WDW. :rotfl2:

:lmao: Thats too funny! Now if you had Mickey Mouse go to her house personally inviting her, then maybe (and just maybe) that would have been "too disney". I think (and I am probably bias) perfectly and subtly disney :goodvibes
Oh, my friends say things like that to me all the time, last night I wore my Mr Toad shirt out with a couple of my girlfriends for a quick bite to eat and one of them just looked at me like I had 2 heads!:rotfl2:

Aww Thanks Stace! I did print them at home and I bought the invites on sale at Michael's for like 15 dollars! I was really excited. The wax stamper thing was such a pain at first because I couldn't get it right but then DF said that it didn't have to be perfect. As long as it closed the envelope! You have to melt the wax from the little stick things and then you use the wax stamper to make the symbol. If you want me to get you one that has your letter or something on it let me know! And I love the Disney font! It told some of my teachers that I love it so much I might start using it for my papers. :rotfl2:

Some of my college program friends are just like me and they say that we are a special breed of person. And I'm really starting to believe it! And if Mickey could deliver invitations that would be AMAZING! Maybe a little too disney but I think it would be great! :rotfl: Yesterday I was at work and just started singing songs from Enchanted! I got a couple weird looks and then some people just started singing along. It was great! I love that movie!

A couple of updates!

Me and DF had the BEST weekend! Nothing really out of the ordinary but just really great! We haven't had a weekend like that in a while. So I wake up this morning and realize we did NOTHING associated with the wedding this weekend. We didn't even talk about it! And I have to admit it was great! I think a lot of the time DF gets frustrated with me because I am so involved with wedding stuff and he really isn't in to it so much... (that's an understatement :rotfl2:) Well anyways it was great!

So moving right along.

I had a really rough end of last week (like wed, thurs., fri.) so it was great when I got to see DF friday night. He also had a rough end of the week and I love it when Friday night comes because I know that when I get off work he will be at my house! And it's weird sometimes I get butterflies in my stomach! So anyways I talked to him on Friday night and he told me that I had a package at his house. I knew exactly what it was because I ordered the ears from WDW mail order so I was really really really excited! What a great start to the weekend. :goodvibes So anyways I get to his house and I open the box and I see my Mickey Bride ears... YAY!!! http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/Photo190.jpg
and then I realize that they sent the wrong Groom ears. I was bummed but then I knew they would fix it so no worries. Ok well that's all for now. Something just came up but I will try to post the rest of my weekend story tonight........ I can't wait to post my dress fitting pics! More later....

Love the ears Ashley! You know, you could put on a Red Sox hat and put those over it. (No I'm not Red Sox obcessed! LOL) I was honestly half tempted to make a Patriots hat with Mickey ears.

Thanks for the info on the Red Sox ruling Sam and Ashley! I shall now have a running Red Sox commentary in my PJ - at least until the PS! :rotfl:

So this is 98% not associated with the wedding but I am sooo frustrated!

So this past week DF got a letter in the mail saying that he owed $1500 to some company for a law suit that was never filed against him. He tried calling and left a message and didn't get a response. So on Friday afternoon he recieved another letter saying that the money was garnished from our WEDDING account.(ok see that is the 2%)

So of course I am so :mad::mad:! So we have a great weekend and we just figure that we will take care of it on Monday. So Monday comes DF calls and says "Hey umm thats not me and they basically say ummm your address is on the file its you." So then they don't have any court info and I am forced to drive 2 hours to a clerks office to get the information regarding the case to clear his name.(The power of ) So finally once I get home which took forever because of traffic. (2 1/2 hours) DF calls them and they say well fax over the paperwork and the defendants contact info and we will call him and get it taken care of. :confused3 Ummm don't you think if you are representing someone you should have their contact information? :confused3 So anyways I gave them the guys phone number just because it would move things along even though I think they should be forced to drive to the courts to get the info and then I call them this morning and she said I reversed the charges. I'm sorry and you know this stuff happens all the time. What? All the time.... that is crazy! :scared1: No one should be able to just take money out of an account because they think it is the right person. They should be 100% sure! I am so sorry for venting like this! I am just so heated! And then on top of that they said I wouldn't get compensated for taking off of work and driving two hours to get information they should already have. Ughhhhhhh!

I really don't want to have to get my lawyer involved but at this point I don't know what to do. Ok I had to get that off of my chest and I have to get ready for class but I will continue with my great weekend this afternoon. (and hopefully put all of this craziness behind me) Thanks for reading my rant and feel free to comment!

WHAT!? That is CRAZY!!! I don't understand how something like that happens all the time either! That's ridiculous. That is not cool that they can just go take money out of your account. At least they realized they made a mistake and it isn't having to continue any further. Sorry that happened to you, that's not cool at all!

That's exactly how I feel. I was thinking that if I wasn't persistent they would have just walked all over us. I feel a whole lot better now. They put the money back in the account and I can finish paying off vendors and such but it just really got me so frustrated!

So everything at home the past couple days has been really crazy for some reason. Well anyways I wanted to finish telling y'all about my great weekend before this weekend comes :rotfl2:!

So Saturday night I had my first dress fitting! I was really excited mainly because I knew the dress would fit so I didn't have that to stress about! :thumbsup2 So I found my seamstress online and I wasn't 100% sure but she totally proved herself. I mean this lady really knows her stuff and she is very reasonably priced.

So my mom was going to come with me but at the last minute she couldn't so I got DF's mom to come with me. It was a little akward at first but she is really the sweetest lady. I would say it only really got weird when I needed help getting into my dress. Getting undressed was just a bit akward. But then she said it's ok we are both girls. :rotfl2: I hadn't heard that in so long and I just started to laugh and it was fine. So I put on my dress (YaY! It still fits!:cheer2:) and we got it all together and DF's mom just said, "Awwwww Ashley you look soo pretty. Just like a princess" And that was exactly the reaction I was going for. She also loved my veil as well. And it was just really sweet. It was like our first bonding moment. So here are a couple pics:
http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/P1010750.jpghttp://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/P1010752.jpghttp://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/P1010753.jpg

So trying on the dress was great! And then of course there has to be one thing that goes wrong. Well at least that is how it's been with me for the past week so here it goes. Remember I said really like this lady because she really knows her stuff. :thumbsup2 Well here is where that comes in. So I start taking off my dress and I hear something rip. First I freak and I think oh no I busted the seam on the dress. I check out my dress and see nothing. Couldn't figure out what it was so I just assumed I was imagining it. So the seamstress, her name is Diana, comes in and offers to steam my veil for my hair trial. As she picks up my veil she says oh no honey what happened here. MY VEIL WAS RIPPED! And when I mean ripped I mean like a good amount of it ripped from the seam of the hair comb. At this moment I begin to FREAK OUT! :scared1: I just ripped my $200 veil! So she says oh honey it's ok. really it's ok. Let me just get my clear string and my needle and we'll fix it. So right there on the spot she sewed my veil back to the seam on the comb. She was soo calm and sweet and I realized that she must be an ! And on top of that she didn't even charge me to fix it! I knew I loved this lady!

Not too much happened on Sunday. I think that Me and DF found our first apartment. It's been kind of hard because I am not to fond of the area surrounding base but we found these great apartments. They are a little pricey but they I think they are beautiful! So that's all for now!

Also I wanted to mention I don't know what is going on with the Sox thus far but we've got some work to do! :cheer2::cheer2: GO SOX!!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks Meg! I am soo happy they veil is ok too!

I haven't heard back from that crazy law office this week. As soon as they realized they messed up they immediately refunded the money but then I brought up the fact that I had to miss work and drive two hours and they said they would have to get back to me about if they can refund me for that. I think that if I don't hear back from them I will just have our family lawyer give them a call next week. I was talking to DF yesterday and I was like I don't have time to deal with this I'm a DISbride. :rotfl: I have planning to do and posts to make.

Congrats on finding your new apartment too! I know what a relief it can be finally realizing you can be settled down and in a new place with your man:thumbsup2 When Dave and I were looking for our 1st place I dragged that poor boy everywhere lol! We finally agreed on a place nearby our parents and stayed there for 2 years before we got our house so I think it is good to be picky. If you are going to be picky I think being picky about where you are going to live is totally acceptable:thumbsup2

And I am heading to the game tonight so GO SOX!!! We are going to make a mighty comeback tonight:goodvibes

Thanks for your compliments! I am actually a little relieved that I had the malfunction at the fitting rather than on the big day. I'm not so graceful but sometimes it helps to take things a little slower and to be more careful.

The whole thing with DF's account is crazy and they are still being a PITA but I know that we will come to an agreement. I totally think I should be compensated for taking the day off work and driving 2 hours to clear DF's name. I feel like such a hero when I put it like that. :rotfl2:

We are going to check out a couple more apts. on Wednesday. I think we both agree on my choice but DF just wants to be sure. So that will be fun. This time he will be taking me around town.

I'm glad you had a good time at the game. And I am even more glad that they won! Finally! Go SOX!!!!!

The dress looks absolutely stunning on you!!! You're going to be such a radiant bride! :goodvibes

Thanks! I really really love my dress and I am so happy that my BM's convinced me to try it on. That's a shout out to Britt and Jera just in case your reading!:wave2:

Oh my gosh I'm getting giddy like a little girl just thinking about both of our weddings! I love SOG!!! (especially the price, haha)

I really love the price! I'm so excited that we will be able to do a little more while we are at WDW with the money that we have saved.

Aww, you look beautiful in your dress!!!!!!! I love it! Congrats on finding youf first apartment!!! How exciting!

Thanks girl! I am even more excited for you that your big day is like right around the corner.

Ok I just read your entire PJ and I LOVEEEEE everything. I love the navy blue color!! Your dress is absolutely gorgeous! Oh and I love your shoes. :lmao: You will love them!! Your invites are fantastic! I can't wait to see your wedding pics!!

Thanks Toni! And thanks soo much for the shoes! :goodvibes I am so glad that the invites are done. I think that at first you get soo excited and then you are like I just want this to be over. I can't wait to share my wedding pics with y'all. Also I'm doing the webcast so you will have to tune in to see those famous shoes in action! :rotfl:

Hey Ashley! So I finally read your whole pj, and it's so cute. The engagement story is ADORABLE! What a great honey. (and I gotta love a Mike, hehe).

I love the dress. It seems so "you" and you look so happy in it! Nice job on finding an awesome seamstress to fix it. DB does seem quite expensive...and I love how they try to get you with the veil and tiara...oh it's 10% off when you buy the dress.:sad2:

And I LOVE those DB bridesmaids dresses. I think that's the style I want to do...actually it's the style I want to own myself  And nice deal on your sister's dress. Can't beat that.

And I love the Mickey swirls on the cake. You could always think of getting a custom made topper. I want to get one of me and DF dressed as our favorite characters, but we can't decide on which one. Oh well, I've got time.

Nice bonding with future MIL. It's always good to be on their good side. :goodvibes

I'm not a super big baseball fan (that's an understatement) but I have a cute Red Sox story. My brother married a girl from Mass. and she's a fan. So they decided their son would like the Sox, and the NY Giants for football. So they taught him (from a very young age) to go Red Sox YAY!!!!, Yankees Blech!! It's super cute. He's now 5, but he said it long before he knew the meaning. He was like YAY red socks (thinking of socks)...they are the best kind of socks. Haha. He's such a cutie. And he's down in Maryland as well.

Didn't do too much wedding stuff over the weekend but finally DF went with is brothers to do the tux fitting. I was really happy that they decided to do it becasue it should have been done a while ago. But as long as it done that's all that matters. So I went with DF to begin but the Men's wearhouse took forever so I had to go to work plus I think that DF wanted to do it with his brothers on their own. So here are a couple pics from that.

Here is me showing them how to document an event. Well actually my FBIL took a pic of me taking a pic of him taking a pic. :rotfl2: Now say that 10 times fast! http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/n1088456347_412451_602015.jpg

So just in case you all forgot, this is the gazebo @ Shades of Green (Isn't it beautiful!) :
http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/gazebo-1.jpg

Ok so anyways I am going to have Disney floral decorate the entrance with tulle like this:
http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/gazebodecor.jpg

But instead of the floral clusters I am going to use the mickey pomanders that I used. I like them cuz they give it a little Mickey flair. Also it saves me a little money. This is the one that I made. I already posted this pic a while ago on one of the threads but I am artistically challenged and very proud of myself so I figured I would post it again!

I finally had a chance to read your entire pj, and I have to say that you and your DF are a totally adorable couple! Your proposal story is awesome. I wish my DH was that creative. He gets nervous and shy when it comes to that sort of stuff.

Did you finally get a new ring? I have to tell you - don't have kids either when it comes to jewelry. :rotfl:My DD got into my jewelry box one day and lost my promise ring. It isn't worth much, so it wasn't insured, but it had a lot of sentimental value. I had taken it off at night and put it in there, and the next morning I woke up to see my DD playing in my jewelry. We found everything except for that ring. I know that it is in my house somewhere, but I probably will never find it until we move!

Hello all! I have lots to tell ya but I only have a minute because I'm at work so some of it will have to wait until tomorrow. So the move is over... finally. Well sorta. My family moved and then me and Mikey decided on our apartment so I was trying to move my stuff while my family was moving because there is no reason to have to move things twice. Well my family was supposed to move this week but the owners of the home came back a week early so we had to be out on Friday. We found all of this out last Tuesday so it made for a very interesting week! So basically we moved all of our stuff and found a new place in 2 DAYS! :woohoo: I have to say that my mom is amazing! :goodvibes I know she was really stressed and wasn't sure what was going to happen but she just pulled through like everything was fine. So anyways we finally go everything into the house on Sunday and we were getting ready to move some of my stuff to Me and DF's new apartment and then my Grand father said that he was having severe chest pains. So an ambulance came and rushed him to the hospital. It was pretty crazy because we hadn't even started unpacking boxes and then the paramedics came in a took him out in the middle of it all. He is doing a lot better now but we are just waiting for some tests to come. So that is all for now because I have to clock-in for work but I will try to post some more later. Chow for now...

Just wanted to add that I miss my DISgirls! I feel like there is something missing so I can't wait to get back into the vibe!

I haven't been on here in a while... We don't have internet at our new apartment so I am official disconnected from the world until Thursday. So I have some updates and some pics to post but I can't find my camera right now because I believe that it is packed away somewhere but I figured I would just let you know what's going on...

So me and DF moved into our new apartment and it's pretty AMAZING... One morning last week that had drive-by breakfast. So as I am leaving the apartment complex they were handing out bagels to all of the cars. It was really nice. I am not in love with Virginia yet but I love the fact that i'm not too far from home. It's about 1hr 15 minutes with no traffic and when there is rush hour I just don't attempt to drive home. ( It would be like 3 hours :scared1: ... gotta love DC traffic)

I got some pics of our flowers.... They are super cute. They don't look as real as I would like them too but my friend was saying that when they are in the moment they will look great. Here are a couple pics that Tara from Vienna's Flowers sent me... ( I have these pics because they were sent to me and not packed away like the rest of them :rotfl:)

I also wanted to let everyone know that my grandfather is at home and doing well. I told him that he has to pull through because I need him to walk me down the aisle. I know he is up for the challenge.

So I still have more to update ya on but I'm going to be late for school so I will have to fill ya in on everything else later. Hope everyone is doing great and I can't wait to catch up on all of your PJ's! Chow for now!

Thanks sooo much for reading. And I am soo sorry for taking so long to get back to you. My life is crazy and more crazy recently and I finally got a chance to update!
Davids Bridal totally suckered me into buying my veil but I absolutely love it so I guess it was almost worth the $200 dollars for the silly thing.

Thanks for all of your sweet comments. Me and DF couldn't decide on a cake topper so the swirls are kinda crazy like us so that is what we went with. It is actually kind of hard trying to find an inter-racial cake topper but that's ok. Plus DF didn't want to go with the classic Mickey and Minnie. He said WDW has already taken over soo much that he needs at least this one thing. :rotfl2:

Love your story about your nephew. My child will totally do the same thing except sometimes I wonder what DF will teach our children. I think I'm definitely going to be in for some good times! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: stacey I said the same thing to DF's brother. I was like the Universal boards aint got nothing on us! :rotfl:

I love the gazebo plain. I was just worried about rain and such and if we need to move it inside then I thought it would be nice to have some extra decor. I do think it will look beautiful though!

Ashley, I have a question....which entrance are you having decorated? I'm puzzeled about which one to hang the tulle on, the one with the two short posts in front of it, or the one with openings on either side with no railing? :confused3 Do you know which one you're going to do?

I couldn't quite figure out a way to explain it but here is a pic. My guests are going to be sitting on the patio so I figured that the decoration would face them. But you could really do it either way! Your big day is soo close! I'm soo excited for ya. I am gonna PM this to you so I know you get it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Mickey Pomanders :) Who is making your cake?

Good luck with the move (sigh) I HATE moving

They set up the chairs on the patio. Apparently its a new deck because before the guests just sat in the grass. Bake me a cake pastry shop is making mine. You might want to check with stacey (princess22) about who is doing hers because I know that she has a different vendor. Thanks for the luck! It wasn't too bad except for my grandfather getting sick at the end. But I am glad that it happened at the end rather than during. That would have been crazy! :scared1:

Thanks for reading! I didn't find my ring during the move, but I wasn't expecting too, although I was hoping. It got lost at my future in-laws. It is an aquamarine so monetarily its not worth as much as a diamond but it does have sentimental value to me as well. Me and DF aren't having kids for a while but I will make sure I remember this. It has been added to the list.

Thanks Sam. The guy finally came to install internet at our place but it wasn't done right so we have to wait to next week to get it fixed. So I am at my parents home using the computer. My grandfather is getting better so I am really really happy! I still can't find my camera but I haven't been doing that great with unpacking. I am still in school so I spend half of my time in VA which is like 40 miles south of DC and then my parents live about 20 miles north of DC. So sometimes I drive back and forth and it is a pretty crazy commute. As soon as I find my camera I will post some pics but I do have a couple to post. The apartment looks great! We are still trying to get settled but it will come with time.

I'm glad you got through your move ok and that your Grandfather is home and doing well! I love your flowers BTW!! :love:Pink and blue are my favorite colors. They will look great when everything is all pulled together.

Thanks! I love the flowers too. I had her cut back a little of the green on my bouquet. I love pink and blue too! I couldn't decide between two pairs of shoes one pair was blue and one was pink so then I figured I would just wear one of each. :rotfl2:. And then I found some white ones so it all worked out. I think the flowers will look great once they are in the moment.

Glad everything is settling down with the apartment!

Of course your grandfather will walk you down the aisle- he will not let you down hun!

Thanks! I know he has been doing his physical therapy to get ready so I know that he won't let me down!

yey for flowers and yey for being all moved in. Boo for not finding your ring though.

Where in VA are you? My dad's cousin is in Herndon we had Thanksgiving there every year growing up and we went to his daughters wedding there in August last year. My friend from my CP lives in the area too. She was in Reston but she just got divorced last month so she's moved, but still in VA. I grew up in Richmond and went to college in Charlottesville.

Anywho.... your soooo close to being married!!! yey!

Beautiful! :goodvibes

So i wanted to give yall some more details on all of the crazy stuff that has been hapenning in my life! I feel like I have missed out on so much and I totally need to catch up on all of your PJ's too! I can't wait to do that.

So Boston was AMAZING as it always is. My BFF graduated Cum Laude which was a great surprise and it was great weather and food and just lots of greatness. Only thing is that my sox weren't in town but I will be back! :goodvibes

Our apartment is absolutley fabulous! It is a little pricey but I love all of the amenities and everyone is soo nice! Plus we are finally getting all of my stuff down here slowly but surely so it is starting to feel a little bit more like home! Right now DF (well technically DH) is living here all the time and I come down a couple nights a week. I would like to move all of my stuff in right before our Disney wedding and then start "living" there after the wedding. Here is a pic of our door and DF trying to be goofy like me and our first meal(Chinese takeout)

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/1240529985275.jpghttp://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/1240530012823.jpghttp://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/1240529737959.jpg

Got my ring back and it fits perfect plus I asked them if they would give me one of their ring boxes because it says Princess Jewelery! I love that! I told DF/DH that I have a Ring case made for a princess.

On to our legal marriage...

So me and DF got legally married on April 22nd in VA. We had been talking about it for a couple of weeks and decided that it was just the right thing to do. I am referring to it as a trial run. We needed to get all of our benefits and housing set up and with the miltary that takes a little while to do. So although I wanted to have everything be official at WDW that was a battle that I just knew I wasn't going to win. Now that we have done it I am so glad that we did. It is one less thing that we have to worry about on our Wedding Day and all of the paperwork has been done for the military side of things and we have our apartment and everything is great!

So anyways we were going to go the courthouse to do it but when we got there they said that they have a list of people who can do it but they don't do it there. So we called the first person on the list and she had her own chapel type thing set up in her living room. At first I was little worried and thought that it was strange but it was actually kinda nice. We have it on video and it was cool because I originally wanted a woman to marry us and do traditional vows so I got all of that with our "trial run." Ok so here are a couple pics from that day.

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/100_0103.jpg http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/100_0102.jpg

Oh and last but definetly not least............................

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!

Well I'm not actually going for vacation but I will be working at Fort Wilderness. I am super super super excited to be going back even though if it is just to work. Also because I wasn't planning on going down there I think I might do like a hair and makeup trial and taste cake. Mmmmmm..... Cake.. :goodvibes So I will be down there from May 24th until the 31st working away! So if anyone will be down there let me know and we can get together. DF/DH isn't coming down because he is on duty but I know I will still have a good time! I will be posting more later and now that school and craziness is finally coming to an end i will be able to be back on here like 5 times a day like I should be! :rotfl2: Take care everybody and I am sorry for the babbling I just wanted to keep you all informed! :goodvibes

Glad to hear the move is going smoothly and the wedding went well, you (of coure) looked fab, and ya know what, I think its good you did it now for 2 reasons. 1: You get the miltary benefits obv. and 2: Mike knows you as a "bride" now, so imagine how stunned he will be when he sees you looking amazing in your dress at SOG!! He will be floored girl! You will become his total dream girl (more then you already are:goodvibes) I think you made a good call doing it this way, and your SOG wedding will be so much more special now:goodvibes!

Those photos of you are really lovely- you both look so happy and relaxed (relaxed - hah if i was you 33days- i'd be pulling my hair out!!)

Wanted to give a quick review of my week at WDW although it was very unexpected I got quite a few things done.

Well we will start off with the Bad....

- I lost my camera, and my credit cards, and my ID.

- I dropped my phone and cracked the screen.

- I didn't get to watch FANTASMIC.

- It rained.... a lot!

And now on to the Good....

- I had my first DISbride meet!
(Thanks Tanya and Becky! It was soo much fun!)

- I made lots of magic!

- I finally got to see SOG and it is absolutely beautiful!

- I tasted wedding cake! (Very Yummy!)

- I tasted lots of champagne! (Not for wedding purposes but still fun!)

- I got to see Wishes 3 times!

So overall the good outweighed the bad! Although the bad isn't really that bad when it happens at WDW! (Or at least that is what I like to think) :goodvibes I'll post more details and pics later cuz I gotta go!

I never got my wallet back but I am soo happy that I was in WDW when it happened! If I was at any other place I would have been absolutely miserable! I tasted...

RUM, marble , vanilla, grand marnier, chocolate, german chocolate, white, and coconut! And I tasted champagne, raspberry, orange, chocolate and coconut filling! It was really great but I don't want to eat any cake until the day of the wedding!

Here are a couple pics that I wanted to post from my work week @ WDW! I lost my camera while I was down there so I only have a couple that I took from my cell phone! Thank god for cell phones!

Here is me in my costume:
http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/2009-05-31212729-1.jpg

I was working at Fort Wilderness all week and it was a lot of fun! At first I wasn't too thrilled about working luggage but it wasn't so bad! I got to make a lot of magic and I got to learn how to use the cargo van! Good Times! :goodvibes

While I was their I got to stop by SOG for the first time which was AMAZING! I LOVED it! Also I realized that the gazebo has a fan inside of it and I got super excited because it is going to be HOTT! :dance3: But then a friend of mine pointed out that we probably won't be using it because it would cause everything to blow around. So I have decided to embrace the heat  and drink lots of water. And think cool thoughts... :cool1:
Well anyways I didn't have too much time there because I had a really hectic work schedule but I did manage to take a couple pics.

:thumbsup2Time is flying by so fast! I wanted to post a quick update while I have a sec! :goodvibes

So for some reason I have started crying all of the time for no reason at all or for a really stupid reason. My seamstress said that it is just part of being a bride.... :confused3 Also like Jenny I have been eating like crazy! I was so happy today during my final fitting because the dress still fits!:banana::banana: I was a little worried because my diet hasn't been the best the past couple weeks but I was working luggage while I was @ WDW 2 weeks ago so I think it made everything even out. :thumbsup2

My grandfather has decided that he won't be able to make the trip! I was absolutely devestated and I am still kind of upset but I know that if he thought that he was able to make the trip that he would be there. :sad1: So this leaves the question who is going to walk me down the aisle. I haven't decided exactly what I am going to do. My mom basically raised my on her own but ever since I got engaged my dad has wanted to do everything for me and he was upset when I told him that I didn't want him to walk me down the aisle. But now he has said that he will have his suit ready just in case. Part of me is so frustrated with this that I just want to walk myself down the aisle but I don't think that that is an option. :headache:

I finally got my replacement engagement ring! I waited until the very last minute because I thought that I might find my original one but unfourtunately that didn't happen. Also for the first time I was able to try both my e-ring and wedding band on together and they are both sized and they look great together. Wanna see?

My flowers came in the mail and they are absolutely beautiful. I knew that I really like the colors but when I was actually holding them it was completely different. They have a navy and silver ballet tie on the stems and of course they have mickey crystals galore! DF still can't believe that I paid $3 a crystal but I think they really make it absolutely perfect!

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/2009-06-03225148.jpghttp://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/2009-06-03225209.jpghttp://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/2009-06-03225219.jpg

OK well I think that is all for now. DF is at a military photography workshop all week pretty close to my moms house so I should be able to see him throughout the week and I am really excited!:banana: I don't mind going to VA to see him but with all of the wedding stuff going on I don't have too much extra time to be doing all of the extra driving. Ok so that is really all for now! I am sure that there is something that needs to be done so I am going to go and do it! (or try to.... wish me luck!) :goodvibes

the boquet is gorgeous omg!
Also, its easy to make programs, here is what you do:

Print the paper with the monogram FIRST then measure how far down (in microsoft word) your monogram is from the top.

Then measure that from the top of your word document, type in your info and viola...

Some alternating nice ideas that I have seen are when a bride rolls up the program and then ties it with a ribbon, and at the end of the ribbon a little tag with the monogram o n it...

You can do two programs on cardstock and cut in in half (easiest) lol...

let me look for some and ill send them your way!

So there have been some crazy things that have happened with my family over the past 24 hours and I can't even begin to explain or get into it because it hurts sooo bad!:sad1:

I just wanted to say that it really hurts when people let you down and then they make you think that things have changed and they haven't and then in the end you are the one who is crying on your heart out because you have let this person get to you AGAIN.... :confused3 I feel soo stupid and so hurt and I don't even know how to explain it but I am getting married in 15 days so I need to put this behind me and suck it up and try to be strong. I just had to get this off my chest because I hurt sooo bad! And now because of it I am an emotional wreck. I am going to get through this and I am going to have the most amazing wedding and I am going to have a happy life with the love of my life but for now I am hurt and if you could just say a little prayer for me I would really appreciate it!

i wont say a prayer-because i will come over to you and sort this person out! NO ONE UPSETS MY ASHLEY!

No one should be making you feel this way, whether its your wedding or not!!??? How could someone stoop so low as to butt in this close to your wedding and let you down and make you feel this way.

Heh, i understand when you say you think people have changed and then in the end you realise they havent changed at all, but what can you do- you cant change people. Argh, im angry for you.

You will get through this, you can have time to cry and be angry, but dont waste too much time doing this because its not worth it, and its not worth using up all the tears on someone who has hurt you like this.

Your wedding is in 15days darling... you should be happpy..... you need to smile! ...... Just think, you and Mike, in 15 days will be married (the Disney way!) and you are going to have a beautiful wedding and you both will be so happy.

Can i feel you smiling!? .... i know you are smiling now Ash... if your not then.... its time for the .....

I know exactly how you feel. I go through this with my mom. Its very hard to deal with someone who refused to better themselves for the sake of their family. Its very hard to wedding plan and deal with the family Bull Poop at the same time. But your wedding is soooo close that i would try as hard as you can NOT to let this family member ruin you and your DF's day. Its only about you two, no one else. Just remember how comforting it is to know that you have DF (soon to be DH) in your life to love you no matter what. :cloud9:

How is it that with almost every wedding there is drama!? You can be the easiest going person with not a care in the world, but drama makes its way in to your special day!

I'm very sorry it's happening to you! That really stinks. But just keep your thoughts on how wonderful you big day is going to be. AND it's coming up so fast!! I will be up at Disney on your wedding day because it's my birthday and I'm going to get my gift card from Disney. maybe I will stop by and see how beautiful you look from afar! I can't wait to hear all about your wedding!

Thanks to everyone for all of your love and support! I really appreciate it!

I got lots of stuff done over the past 24 hours! We have decided that we are going to do programs, so that was my assignment for yesterday! I told DF that if we were going to do programs they had to be done right and I was going to do Mickey fans! He agreed! So I have typed up everything and have it all set-up I just have to wait for DF to go over it! It has been really hard this week because he is attending this military photo workshop and he is like busy from 7 am until 11 pm and then by that point he is just exhausted! Well anyways here is my first attempt. I am going to be printing them out this weekend and my and the Bridesmaids are going to be putting them together over a glass (or two?) of champagne! I am super excited!:banana:

I think they are going to be super cute!

Also I just found out from SOG that my brick was placed and I can't wait to find it! Thanks to Kelly (Tink_kel) for getting me that info!

And I am almost done with the favors. The only thing that I still need to do is make the CD labels. I am going to be using the monogram that Jenny made for me for that! Thanks again Jenny(Mrsdisneyb2b)! Also I totally got the idea to do this from Lynn( Lynn5700) so Thanks!

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo10/avj1985/favor.jpg

Thanks everyone for all of your help I really appreciate it!

One last thing! So I wanted to incorporate my mom into our wedding but I wasn't sure how so she will be doing a reading. And we decided on Oh The Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss! It's going to be great!

This is how it goes:

Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the COUPLE who’ll decide where to go.

You’ll look up and down streets. Look ‘em over with care.
About some you will say, “I don’t choose to go there.”
With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet,
you’re too smart to go down any not-so-good street.

And you may not find any
you’ll want to go down.
In that case, of course,
you’ll head straight out of town.

It’s opener there
in the wide open air.

Out there things can happen
and frequently do
to people as brainy
and footsy as you.

And when things start to happen,
don’t worry. Don’t stew.
Just go right along.
You’ll start happening too.

OH!
THE PLACES YOU’LL GO!

[...]

You’ll get mixed up, of course,
as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up
with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life’s
a Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.

And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)

So…
be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray
or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O’Shea,
you’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So…get on your way!

Ok that's really all for now! Sorry for such the long post!

I agree with Becky. If you're offering cake I'll plan my day around that! HAHA! I will not intrude on your big day. But if you see me and Addison off in the distance watching, just give a quick wave!

Oh, by the way, I love the Dr. Seuss story you picked. Funny thing about it, our principal reads from that book at everything! Awards, meetings, etc, you name it. She has read it since the school opened 4 years ago. I wonder if the parents are sick of hearing it. But I think it is an awesome choice. I would never think of reading it at a wedding but it's a great idea. Those fans are going to be super cute. You will have to post a picture of the final product!

It was always a book I have read to the kids that I used to teach and I have always loved it I really didn't think about it for wedding purposes until I was talking to the Rev that is marrying us and he brought it up. As soon as he did I knew it would be perfect.

And addison needs that gift! Especially if it was made just for her! Get it to her Jen!:goodvibes

So I have been missing a lot this week. My mac wasn't working at home and work has been crazy plus I have been doing some extra baby-sitting to make some extra spending cash for WDW. Spending cash for WDW is always good. Well anyways I am working on the CD's and Program fans tonight and tomorrow and I should have pics up by Friday.... if everything goes well!

I am exactly a week out and even though I have soooo much to do I am not freaking out at all. I am soo happy and excited and I can't wait for next week! If only I had been like this all along it wouldn't have been so crazy!
Well we are leaving on Saturday so we can have a couple days to ourselves before our guests arrive so that gives me two days to get everything DONE! :scared1: Sounds crazy but I can do it!:banana::banana:

Anyone have any packing advice. I am always soo bad about that!

OH my gosh! I cannot believe you leave in two days! Craziness! Since it's your wedding trip, is there a day that is better for you to meet up. Maybe Becky and I can work around you! But still PM me your info! I'm so excited for you. OH my gosh. I can't imagine what it feels like to be only a week away. I smile just thinking about your wedding. I can't wait to see your pictures etc!

Omg omg its almost time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it's crazy.

So I guess things don't always turn out as planned. I am finishing up the mickey fans now and then I have to finish packing and triple check everything. So this maybe my last time on for awhile because we are leaving tomorrow.

But I did want to tell everyone that my wedding is being webcasted by STVS. So feel free to tune in. I can post the directions later on because DF just got home and we have to finish up some stuff. So I guess this isn't my last post for a while then just until later. :goodvibes

I stopped by SOG today to try our chair covers on the chairs in the ballroom. I was totally looking out for you the whole time I was there. I figured you probably weren't even there. I met with Bonnie and I told her I have been talking with someone on line who is getting married here on Thursday. She was like "Ashley?" I told her yeah and she said, Ah, I love Ashley, she is so sweet!

I hope you have a chance to get on here and post the instructions. If not, I'm going to come and hunt you down Thursday morning to get them so everyone can watch!!!!
