which is better?
I've only done Western, but have to admit Eastern doesn't look as interesting with 3 days at sea and the St. Martaan stop that doesn't exactly get rave reviews on these boards.

Western, better ports of call. In fact we are booking another western.

We have done Eastern twice and are doing Western 8/3. I think I am going to miss the extra sea day as those are my favorites. I wish DCL would do a transatlantic. I would love to be on the ship for 5 sea days to enjoy it fully.

Ooooh, I second the transatlantic idea! It has been my dream to do that crossing on the QE2, but I would just as easily do it on DCL. Cunard seems to have a "class system" where the dining options that are available to you are based on the class of room that you have... Although those cheap fares look pretty good, I would feel weird about being the lowest class citizen on the boat. At Disney I can book my cheap cabin and eat at Palo too!

I prefer western although I won't hesitate to do the eastern if the price is right!

I booked the Eastern for May 2003 while on board the Western Inaugural. I also read on these boards that no one likes St. Maarten. If thats the case why doesn't Disney change St. Maarten and go to Puerto Rico instead.
Anyone know how to do the polls on these boards?
Hey, I mean you guys got the chicken tenders back on board.
If you know how to get the thread going I'll cast my vote!

Ok, I'll start a new thread and poll on Eastern vs. Western...
My vote will be for Western. :)

How about a poll about changing St. Martaan to another port...

Would love for Disney to do one as well. That said, my first ever cruise was on the QE2 from New York to London. Even with the "class" system aboard ship - other then dining you didn't know who was who. The cabin that we had was very comfortable, they had in room babysitting (my daugher was 3 at the time) and I got to eat in the fancier restaurant every day at 4 because they put on a special meal just for the kids (macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, etc.) this is when the crews children ate as well.
