God Bless you and your family, for all of the sacrifices and for serving our great country. Thank you for being on the front lines everyday - you at home, and your DH defending our freedoms.
And the best place to celebrate and unwind is Disney. Have a BLAST. You deserve it.

Congrats!!! I know that feeling. I had a 6 month old when DH got back and he only had saw him once. It was exciting and a time to "relax" and take a deep breath. He will be home soon. Demob isn't as long at Premob.

Some of my favorite soldiers are medics. I know it's tough to deal with the separation of deployment. Thank your husband and YOU for your sacrifices for the benefit of us all. :thumbsup2

Don't let him kid you! he was a Brigade Commander or Hospital Commander or something like that before he retired. he made life a living he** for the troops. Right Colonel? :lmao: :lmao:

Hopefully this will be his last deployment.

I was a good commander - fair and even tempered, loved by all (except that clueless Brigadier General that was my boss).

YEA! :woohoo:

I'm sure you'd love to hop in a car and take a quick zip up to see him (AL, to WA... hm... yea I think it can be done in under 10 min). My son's best friend from highschool is on his 3rd deployment over there - I love him and his commitment but hate the worries for his mom and everyone else who loves him, myself included :headache:

Please give your husband a huge hug from the Dis for us when you do finally see him :goodvibes Hehe -- I can hear the conversation now: You: "...and this is from my Disboard friends" -- Him: "OK, now i know she's really lost it"

Heading off to Disney will be so much fun & I can't think of a better way to celebrate. Oh no, I'm sounding like the Disney marketing team has gotten to me. Do be aware that some soldiers are not comfortable at all with the sound of fireworks. You might want to see them from a distance to start with.

Where are you staying?
