When we sail in Sept my DBIL (who is certified) wants to dive at GC and Cozumel (he has done KW already). Has anyone done any of the DCL dive trips? Any info would be welcome.

Red Sail was the dive operator on GCY. Did a great job. Did a wall dive and then a wreck. Just water on the boat with orange slices in between.
In COZ I can not recall the name of the operator. Two drift dives, that is what you do in COZ. Great operator with lots of fruit and soft drinks between and after the dives.
Definitely worth it. Rental gear looked good on both. We had brought our own.

There is a great dive site right by where the tender boats drop you in cayman. Abanks Divers is located at Paradise Restaurant and the diving is awesome!!!! Easy entrance, tarpons, tons of fish and some tunnels too.
They make a great drink there called a mudslide...I had a few post dive. Mini beach there too but for that I'd make my way to 7 Mile Beach.
Get a underwater disposible camera. We took some photos in the first 10 ft and then I just kept in on my wrist for the rest of the dive...
I saw a coupon for them on a site posted earlier..its under activies I think

Thanks Wavegirl! We are both certified and looking for a place to do some shore dives! The coupons are great, I just printed them.
My son is signed up for a resort coarse in Cozumel but I may have him do it here instead!:Pinkbounc

although i am only an avid snorkeler, from all I have seen and read, both the Cayman Islands and Cozumel are excellent places for diving...

Palancar (sp?) Reef off Cozumel is phenomenal. This is a drift dive, the wall goes very deep. More coral, sponges, fish, lobster and rays than I have ever seen in one place. The visibility is incredible. Don't miss it. Usually operators take you out, drift back closer to port, lunch on the beach then do a more shallow dive in the P.M.

I do not know if DCL has this, we went with Club Med. If DCL does not have this, well, they should. Check with your local PADI shop, they could tell you about safe, good operators, I cannot recall the company that took us out and supplied the tanks.

Just finished reading all the responses to DH. He is excited and looking forward to each dive. I have not been able to find the excursion form. We wanted to have them filled out in advance. A big thanks to all who responded.[B]:D
