Let's start off by taking attendance...

My name is Jessica and I interviewed on March 6th.
My favorite Disney movies are Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and Wall-E (besides the classics!).
My favorite character (besides liking them all!) is Woody.
Most Disney songs are good...I couldn't pick just one.
Some of my hobbies include reading, listening to music, working on the computer, taking photographs, beading jewelry, and learning new things.
I get paid to do laundry, lol.

I think we should start some sort of game to get our minds off what's coming.
On another forum they have games like First Letter-Last Letter, Hang Man, A to Z, Trivia (character/disney/non-disney/etc), This or that?, etc.

The princesses actually run around 5'3-5'6 or so. Then the characters around 5'0-5'2 include Alice, Wendy, Tink, and the other fairies.

What do you do at your audition? You dance right, do you sing and act also?

At the CP auditions, it is dance and animation (and maybe a puppet audition). CPs do not have any singing roles.

I think I might be too chubby for a Princess lol but I'm good for a fur character. Unless there's a 5' size 14 pants Princess lol...I plan on going down to like a 7 or less during the CP. Maybe next year I could pass for a Snow White lol

lol you probably will get a real work out in one of those fur costumes! It should be fun though I know Im so clumsy I would run into stuff if I had to wear it. My cousin used to have to wear the giraffe costume at toy's r us and shes about 5'2 it was soo funny she was always running into things. But atleast at Disney theirs people to help you. lol

There seem to be quite a few people getting merchandise and qsfb so its a good thing you picked those I think they really need help there my presenter named a top 5 list of jobs they need help in the most I cant remember all of them though. I checked merchandise on mine too but I dont think she thought I could handle it by the way I answered the question that she asked about it lol.

I had my interview yesterday. My interviewers name was Lindsey. I had checked a lot of roles on the role list. I told her that I was interested in PhotoPass, Merchandise and QSF&B. She did focus a lot on PhotoPass questions; asking me about my experience with photography and using a digital camera. So hopefully I could be a PhotoPass Cast Member. Then she also asked some questions about Quick Service and asked me a question of "what i would do if a customer had spilled a drink on the ground." My interview last 20 minutes!

I hope I get that purple folder!
It's going to be very hard waiting for a response.

Yep. Attractions could be working an actual ride, working one of the shows (like the Beauty and the Beast show), one of the 3-D shows, one of the playgrounds, ect. I hope to get either JC or GMR. That would be awsome!

I had mine around 2 today and the lady asked me the same question. She also asked what would I do if a kid was excited about a ride but was too short, and how would I handle a guest that requested a hotel room but there were none like the one they requested available.

it worked! hooray! ha ha, and if i have it memorized really good i dont do too bad. sometimes i can mess up though. like this shakespeare monologue i did in acting class, man i was bad! but i didnt prepare too well, and i didnt like my scene all too well. ha ha. i had to act all depressed and in mourning. but im a happy person!

I was ready for the first question. I heard that a good answer would have been something along the lines of "Get down to the kids' level, apologizing that he cant go on Space Mountain and tell him some other rides he can go on like Peter Pans Flight or Buzz Lightyear."

Yeah. I have such a passion for photography. It would be great to get, because you also get to really interact with the Guests a lot!! I know we made so many Cast Members' days for just talking with them.

We have different city names and different schools, but in the same area. We'll see if this has any impact on if we're both accepted or not.

I tried to use "Have a magical day", "Cast Member", "Guest", "Attractions" and other words that are terms that Disney uses. I also mentioned other things like "networking". I even met the Area Manager of EPCOT Merchandise while I was at Disney last week. Talk about networking already! :)

You did too? I told my interviewer that, and she busted out laughing! The interview went well, but her tone was like "Strictly business." Things started to liven up when i told her about my acting experience, and how I've always been to Disney since I was a baby. But, when I told her to have a magical day, that's when she really started to liven up. Her voice was so perky and happy at the end! :cutie:

Yay, RENT! I've seen it an embarrassing amount of times (that would be the stage show, not the movie). Aw, I miss it though. I've not seen it in forever.

That shouldn't be a reason. I know plenty of couples/married couples who have been accepted. In fact, last semester 10+ people were accepted from my school.

My interviewer didnt say much either after each question I answered she would say some thing like "great" or "thats awesome" or "I know how that is" but thats really it my interview only lasted for about 15 minutes. I'm actually not sure they CAN even look at your grades. I'm pretty sure you have to sign a release to ANYbody that wants to see your grades, they can't just be sent anywhere. Maybe they can tell your GPA, I'm not sure.

i have been wondering this too! i graduated from my junior college cum laude, but my first semester at this university(last fall) was really not good at all! i have already done the academic counseling and she said i was alright...but we didnt discuss Disney then. My schools really into the Disney program and so they came up with a set GPA of atleast 2.0 in order to participate in the program. I know it says on the wdwcp site that whatever your schools set GPA is for the program is what they look at. But I guess if you'r school doesnt participate then its different I dont know. You might want to check with some one like an advisor or career counselor to see what they say! Hope this helps good luck

we cant ask for grades over email at my school either i think we do have to fill out a form for disney allowing them to send work that we've done back to our schools though im guessing for the classes we take there. Also my school is exactly like you said my career counselor said she decides whether I can go or not by looking at my GPA I had to sign up for this internship program as a prerequisit for my school also or I couldnt go they really take it seriously here like really!

I've only failed two classes in my life. Short Stories (I was also having this ridiculous over emotional crap over a guy when I was 18 and I was FORCED to take it because my parents insisted I take a summer class. I hated it!) and MicroBiology...which had nothing to do with my major and they forced it on me? Why? I'm a design person not a biology person, I suck at science. and I sorta missed class a lot due to over obsession with video class and sitting in the editing room for days at a time. I had the best video in class though! I made a girl cry with it! (I didn't think it was that emotional)

She said it would take a half hour and it only took maybe 15-20 minutes and she didn't really ask me any questions other than which position I'd prefer and if I had been to Disney before. Oh, wait.. I was bad at biology too but my astronomy class was terrible my advisor said it would be easy but he didn't tell me that he didnt take the class until he was in grad school but it was nothing but physics and math equations that made no sense at all nobody got it I think the highest grade in that class was a C. But yes love english hate to write im more into reading and learning the grammar aspects. I'm glad im not the only english major who doesnt like to write then i would feel bad i dont mind short papers! lol I have to watch your video though!

no, i knew it wasnt astrology, i just didnt know that i had to learn all these physics type formulas to find things out about the distance to things or stuff like that. ha ha. i was interested in learning about what the stars were made of and then learning their names and the constellations. but i enjoyed it nonetheless

I didnt know astronomy was such a big deal at Auburn but my professor I had there told us that they were building an underground star that could power the United States for a year if it needed to, and I was like uhoh I dont think im gonna do well in this class. We had labs where we did nothing but look at stars but the actual class was physics.

I wouldn't worry. My interview was 20 minutes as well (19:55, to be exact).

It varies by the school. According to the WDWCP website, you have to be in good standing with your school to do the CP, and that requirement varies (at my school, its a 2.0 GPA).

does everyone receive that email? or just people who eventually get accepted into the program? Because I interviewed on Tuesday and my girlfriend interviewed on Wednesday, and we BOTH got an email from our recruiter this evening from a Christy Marciari.

Because if it's a recruiter who is emailing you, then we are actually being recruited to be a CP or seriously being considered?

I'm actually not sure they CAN even look at your grades. I'm pretty sure you have to sign a release to ANYbody that wants to see your grades, they can't just be sent anywhere. Maybe they can tell your GPA, I'm not sure.

I said I wanted to do Falltoo because I wanted to do summer school and it didnt count against me so I think you'll be fine. The website made it seem like Fall advantage was for students who went to schools that went by quater and Fall was for students who went to schools that went on semester scheduals. It doesnt really seem to matter which one you pick though.

Im not really sure about that because they give you the range when ever you look on the website but for my role its 7.46 an hour i think but yes they tell you speciffically what you'll get paid an hour when you get the purple folder. Sorry I couldnt be anymore help lol

Oh wow, well a lot of people try to put Alabama down sometimes but its really nice here in Mobile where I live its pretty too and we're not that far from the beach its only about 30 mins away. You'll have to come one day maybe durring mardi gras season or bayfest!

I love water like that! We go to Destin Beach Florida all the time because its about 2 hours away its so beautiful there everyone calls it the emerald coast the water is just so pretty and if you wake up early you can see the dolphins!

Maybe you should when I did my interview my interviewer read me my email to make sure it was correct. You may want to check though because I know if you dont recieve a letter in the mail after six weeks saying you've either made the program or havent made the program you're supposed to contact some one but I dont know how it works when you don't recieve an email but yea they may have gotten the wrong email address some how. I think one person said they got theirs in the mail because they were trying out for a character role but im not sure how it all works.

Well you might get it! It wasnt one of my first choices but I'm excited about learning something I've never done before lol. I see we're the same when it comes to cooking but as long as they give me instructions or a microwave I should be ok:) I got so excited I went to the disney website to see how many restaurants were quick service so I could see where I may be working! Its soo many different places and then theres those little cart things too lol. But yea we wont know where we work until we get there "sadness" :sad1:

Quick service consists of more than just cooking/kitchen work. You may end up bussing tables as well, depending on the size of the location ie. Cosmic Rays. It's A LOT of work sometimes lol

IIRC, you find out what park you will be working in during day 2 and your actual job location during day 3... something like that. Your job location is already decided by the time you reach florida. It wouldn't hurt to "hint" at your park preference during the interview though haha It worked for me...

hey everyone! i get super pumped everytime i read these posts:banana: i had my interview last wensday and it went ok...like some others that i have read my interview was only about 15 minutes and the interviewer just asked me questions about the roles i chose(i chose lifeguard recreation transportation and attractions) and not much in the way of small talk or convo. Anyway i was just wondering if any one knows anything about lifeguarding since ive been an ocean lifeguard for 5 years now and love it, cause the only roles ive read about anyone getting is attraction merch and qsfb for the most part. I really hope my experience in lifeguarding and emergency situation and love for disney of course get me into the program cause i feel my interview could of gone much better:headache:
