If you do not want to go to the park what can you do at the Poly?

You can swim, play in the arcade, take a romantic walk to the Grand Floridian in the evening, take the monorail to the any of the monorail hotels, shop in the gift shops. Just do nothing but lay around. Watch the torches being lit or lay in the hammocks on the beach.

You can also rent bikes (the 4 person ones) boats (water mice, sail boats, and pontoon boats).

also, i don't know if you have kids or not, but i read
somewhere on these boards that you can go into the
neverland club for free from 12-4 (you have to supervise your
children though). they also have wonderful restaurants and the
luau dinner show.we stayed there last year with our 2 kids for
a week and LOVED it!!

Tikiman,

Thanks for reminding me about the Surrey Bikes at the Poly.

Thanks,

Hi:

Don't forget you can catch the little boat that takes you to magic kingdom and then hop a wilderness lodge boat, look around and take another boat to the comtemporary check out the shops, then catch the monorail back to the poly. We did this a month ago, it was nice to not be rushing anywhere.

I never did it but there is a ladybug release:http://wdwig.com/faq_lbug.htm

We always spend time renting the watermice and take a spin around the lagoons.

We will be there July 6th - 13th, we are planning on renting a Surrey, water mice, swimming, shopping around the resorts on the monorail, and taking the boat to Fort Wilderness to check out the petting zoo and go canoeing there. Last year when we stayed at Cont we took the boat over to Fort Wilderness on our day off and had a blast. We rented bikes, rode around to the petting zoo and the scenery is awesome! They have a neat gift shop and they even had some clearence items out in the front! Then that night we went back to the Backyard Barbeccu that I highly recommend if you haven't done it before. We are doing the Luau this year since we will be at the Poly! Hope you have a great time!:D
