Need some ipod help.

Emiel's Ipod is almost dead.

Sometimes it just ran out of battery even when it was just full a minute ago and even an empty battery when it came off the electricity just 5 minuts ago.
Also it get stuck every other minute. If he wants to listen to it 7 out of 10 times it gets stuck and we have to reset the hole thing....

It's an olttimer it is a ipod mini 8gb.
After one year i already behaved like this.
It was mine first but i threw that thing in a corner as soon as i bought a zune for replacement.

Now i have heard that when you go to an apple store when there are problems with an ipod you can buy a new one with some discount.
Does anybody also have heard this and can anybody tell me if this is thru???

I've definitely not heard that speaking from a UK perspective - would doubt it anyway, Apple like money and DO advise you that the battery will last X amount of charges.
However I'm pretty sure you can send it off to Apple to get a new battery fitted, but for what it would cost I would go for a new Nano with the mini being a very old model :)

It's not only the battery but also that it gets stuck every single minute you use it.... And then you have to reset the ipod again and again.
