I just tried your sight, it sez it exceeded it's limit and will be reset each month, does this mean I have to wait till July to look at it, ARGH, I leave in 11 days, I wish I could see it now?:(

Are you trying to reach tikiman by any chance??? I can't answer your question about his website, but a properly worded question might get you a result... also, you might do a search of this website for any recent ppostings by tikiman and ask for a reply...

I think I read that Tikiman's site will be back up on Tuesday. I think he posted under a thread about Poly Concierge food. :)

Thanks everyone for answering my question.
skyhog, Did I not have the right wording, I do know I was polite, maybe I don't always have the proper grammer but I think I get my point across.

LOL, Gail. :D I think what skyhog was referring to was in your title you called him Tinkman as opposed to Tikiman. Your grammar was fine. :)
Enjoy the Poly! Be sure to report back on how it was when you return.
Tikiman's site is so popular it gets a lot of hits and he exceeds his limit. I have run into this on his site several times. It resets in a few days..smjj

Camcolt, Thanks for pointing that out to me, I think I should be buying new glasses for sitting at my computer, maybe then I would get names right. LOL:)

Sorry I was gone this weekend and did not see this. The site will be back up tomorrow. It resets on the 4th of each month. I am almost done fixing it so it does not shut down. It is much better. It use to shut down around the 15th of each month from all the traffic but now that I have made the page files smaller it runs till about the 27th.
I need to make more room for all the stuff I will come home with for the pages after our July trip.
Have a great time Gail.
Aloha

Thanks Laura. I love your Polynesian pictures. Did your digital camera take that panoramic picture of your view? I will have to see if ours does that.

Yes and no..... I took about 10 pictures then stitched them together with my photo suite software. My camera (Canon Powershot G2) does have a feature for doing it.... but I forgot my instructions at home (thus a reminder to you, bring yours) and couldn't figure out how to do it there..... It is nice to have a complex camera, but I cant wait until I have all it's features memorized!
Two tips.... The more overlap the better the stitching... overlap about 1/2 of the picture..... So about 10-12 pictures... Does that make sense? Any try and keep your shots level (at the same height)..... less you have to crop when the final scene is produced.
I also recommend a tripod. A must for taking pictures of the castle/contemp/GF/light parade at night. I had my camera resting on the balcony railing, and found it too uneven to hold the camera steady. Of course your on the first floor.....
Any giggle of the camera, esp for the light parade, leaves trails. I have zillions of bad shots..... I only posted the best ones...
I love my digital camera!
