Personally if all else fails go to DTD because the first stop is the easiest transfer (IMO) to any other hotel.

POFQ to GF: As far as I know, you've listed the only ways to get to a monorail resort from a non-monorail resort.
POFQ to Contemporary: walk would probably be quicker
POFQ to Boardwalk: A boat goes from the International Gateway to Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Club, and DHS. I'm not sure about this one since it's before park opening. Otherwise I would suggest bus to EPCOT, go through Future World to the International Gateway (it's by England IIRC), then take a boat (aka FriendShip) to Boardwalk.
DHS to Boardwalk: Take the FriendShip from DHS to Boardwalk.
POFQ to Poly: bus to MK then monorail is how I'm getting there

For your breakfast at Boardwalk, I'd take a cab. We took cabs from POFQ a couple times and it was around $15 including tip. From DHS to Boardwalk you could take the bus or the boat. We took the boat a few times and its a nice, relaxing ride. Your plans for visiting the monorail resorts are good!

Personally if all else fails go to DTD because the first stop is the easiest transfer (IMO) to any other hotel.

Thanks guys! All great ideas :) I have them all written down in my planner lol

WOOHOO!! Woke up this morning and for some reason got the urge to check my flights again.... AND THEY WENT DOWN ANOTHER $25 EACH!! So I officially have a $90 credit (45 from each flight) that I can use towards a future flight. :) Why have I NOT flown JetBlue sooner? :):banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::b anana::dance3::cheer2:

POFQ to the Boardwalk: here's where I'm a little lost.... bus it over to Epcot and then..? Someone mentioned a boat from Epcot to Boardwalk? Where do I get the boat? I can't walk through the park b/c it's 8am. Bus?
DHS to Boardwalk: bus directly?
Thanks for any help guys! :)

Just saw these and wanted to clarify on a couple of other suggestions.

From POFQ to the Boardwalk, you can only take the boat from the IG in Epcot if the park is already open (which based on your post, at 8:00am it won't be). If the park isn't open yet, there's no way to get from the main entrance in FW to the Boardwalk by boat or walking and there is no bus that runs from the Boardwalk to Epcot. I think in this situation, just taking a cab from POFQ to the Boardwalk would be easiest and maybe only like $10-$15.

From DHS to the Boardwalk, the Friendship boats can sometimes take a VERY long time. If you have to wait, it could be 10 minutes or so. Then the boat ride is slow (but relaxing) and makes a few stops before the final stop at the Boardwalk. If you are in a rush and taking the boat, I'd probably get off at the Swan/Dolphin stop and walk across the bridge to the Boardwalk. Another option for DHS to the Boardwalk is a 10-15 minute walk. I don't know if DM will be with you for this ADR and whether she can do much walking---but DHS is within walking distance of the Boardwalk and oftentimes it is faster to walk than to wait for the boat. If you are in a rush, I'd walk. If you give yourself at least 30 minutes to get there, I'd enjoy the boat ride. It's a nice ride, even if it is a little long.

Good luck!

Always nice to get more credit! I check mine every week or two, but I don't think they're going down any further than $99 each way. Racked up about $140 in Southwest credit though; I think DD and I are going to fly to New Orleans in November for a wedding she's the flower girl in. DW will either be about to have or will have had DS so she'll be staying home.

Thank youu! :worship: I think for the Boardwalk breakfast we will be taking a cab. Not a problem for the $15. For DHS to Boardwalk we don't mind doing either. I'll see how mom feels when we're ready for dinner. I'll also make sure to leave plenty of time for the boat if we go that route! Thanks again!

Uhoh....I have to go catch up on your resort situation but I totally know the waiting game can bite me back in the butt! It did originally when I was looking for flights! Ugh!

Overall credit since they were both paid on the same transaction. So since I paid I get all the credit put on my account :) woohoo! I'm sure if my mom had a TrueBlue account I could ask them to split it two ways.

Yes, this is what I was going to say. They do run early... I know that MK bus starts 6:15-6:45AM for character breakfasts so I wouldn't doubt that one runs to DHS early also for H&V and Cape May, a lot of the time the bus driver will drop you off at what ever resort you have an early ADR for.

WOOHOOOOO!! Everyone do the happy dance with me! :hippie:

I got EVERYTHING I wanted! All 17 ADRs! Some of the times aren't picture perfect but hey...we'll deal with it! The one I'm the most bummed about is my birthday breakfast at Crystal Palace. I wanted as close to 8am as possible but had to take 9am. I'll check again tomorrow morning on the actual 90 day mark for 9/27.

I made sure to NOT be logged on before 6am. At 6am, I logged on using my email and password that I created. Searched for my first restaurant, when it came up, clicked book a reservation. Then clicked 'associate with a vacation reservation' (or whatever the wording is). Put in my vacation confirmation # and phone number, and it said that I'm staying at POFQ from 9/26-10/3 and all the dates on the calendar were unlocked.

The shopping cart only holds 10 reservations at a time so I had to check out after the first 10, and slowly input my bday celebration into each one (the only annoying part!). After I did it for all of them, I instantly got an email confirmation. I then went ahead and booked the remaining 7 ADRs and did the same thing with the bday.

I was done with all 17 ADRs by 6:35am. Not too shabby.

Oh..not sure if it matters but I normally use Firefox as my browser but read a few posts saying that it was REALLLY slow. I used Safari on my Mac this morning and it was QUICK! I did get a little nervous after I clicked check out for the first 10 ADRs. It took at least a minute for the confirmation page to come up. But it finally did!

Right now I'm on hold with Disney Dining just trying to book the GF Tea for my mom and I on the day we arrive. Can they PLEASE change the song?!??!! I know it's 7am but... if I hear the Main Street song or the Train Conductor ONE MORE TIME!! I've only been on hold with them for 14 mins so far and I've heard both at least 5 times... oh..make that 6. The Main St song just started again :scared1::sad2:

So here is everything I got... In parenthesis I'll put what time I tried for.

Joshua's christening is at the end of August and I can't wait to see him again. I wish I could be with them when they bring him to Disney for the first time in December!

Of course I'm doing a dining review! :cool1: Wait...did you already sub to it in the dining boards? It's so hard to keep track of three pre-trip reports all at the same time! :scared1: If not, the link is in my signature. However, I'm honestly just going to probably be writing the whole review over here in one big trip report and then pasting just the dining portions into the dining board review. So we're one man down for part of the trip.

My bf who lives in FL was going to come and join us for his first Disney experience but today we just decided to end our relationship and just stay friends. It was too hard with the distance and everything and now that we're both going back to school (eventually going to get my MBA...hopefully soon!)...theres no time or money to allow us to see each other regularly. He still might come for a day or two when we're there but not for as long as originally planned.

All in all I'm pretty ok with everything. We both agreed it was hard and we didn't have a huge blow out fight to end things. It was pretty mutual and for good reason. Oh well... anyone wanna join us for our ADRs? lol we have an extra spot at the tables! (I swear that's not meant to sound mean... just trying to make the best of it lol)

Sorry to hear about the breakup. Long distance relationships are very difficult. When I first started college I had a g/f back home and even though we were just an hour apart it didn't work out.

Anyway, if you have any MBA questions let me know. I stayed at LSU for two extra years to get my MBA out of the way. Have you taken the GMAT yet? Where are you looking to get it?

Aww I'm sorry about you and your bf breaking up but it seems like it was the best decision. Um if you would be willing to fly me down and pay for my room I'll be happy to join you guys for dinner!! :rotfl:

 That's pretty much how it ended with me and my DF, but in the long run it was probably for the best.

Sorry about your breakup! Long distance relationships are super hard!

Disney will be here soon though! Here is some pixiedust:for you!

Sorry about the break up, but it doesn't seem to be too bad. Sounds like distance is the big issue.....

Ah man... I'm sorry.

Sorry to hear about the break up, but it sounds like it ended well, and you seem ok. Good for you!

Thank you guys! It's easier when money and vacation time aren't an issue but ouch! Both are getting tight lately!

sorry about your break-up:hug: sometimes..like you said, it is definately for the best. And those distance relationships are brutal!

BTW... congrats on going for your MBA:thumbsup2

Did you decide on a day for MNSSHP?? I missed it if you did. We should try for a quick meet on Weds too.... other than maybe passing each other at Chefs lol!! Jenjolt and I will be at Epcot all day that day (as far as I know...anyway) other than dinner at Yachtsman.

Paula

Hey Paula... STILL haven't decided on MNSSHP! :scared1:

Sorry to hear about the breakup. Long distance relationships are very difficult. When I first started college I had a g/f back home and even though we were just an hour apart it didn't work out.

Anyway, if you have any MBA questions let me know. I stayed at LSU for two extra years to get my MBA out of the way. Have you taken the GMAT yet? Where are you looking to get it?

Thanks! I haven't taken the GMAT yet...still studying for it little by little. Took my second math practice test and did MUCH better than the first attempt! haha...I don't remember have this stuff! If it wasn't for this test I would have started my MBA YEARS ago!

I'm looking at schools around here since I'll still have to work while I go to school.... Rutgers here in NJ is my top NJ pick. Fordham and NYU (my dream school) would be the NY schools. Then theres a few smaller ones in the area that are decent too but those 3 are my top picks!

Don't take the GMAT until you're ready. From what I understand, a lot of schools will average the scores if you've taken it more than once.

The GMAT is all computer-based now. I work in information systems, and i HATED it. Besides the technology behind it (unless they've updated, it runs on Windows 3.1) , I just found it very annoying to take a test on the computer. Give me a #2 pencil and a book instead. It can get inside your head too because of the way it works. If you answer a question correctly, it gives you a harder one next time. So you sit there thinking "is this a harder question?" I know LSU was pushing for at least a 600 on the test; Rutgers and NYU probably have even higher standards.

Rutgers is about a 600 as well. I think Fordham a 650 and NYU is around 700 :scared1: I also have to factor in cost. My job will pay for 75% of tuition which is amazing but 25% of the city schools is still a LOT of money. Rutgers I'd be getting in state tuition and it's a state school so it's much cheaper.

Yeah they'll pay for 75% of your tuition here too, but only if you're already working for them, so I didn't get to take advantage of that.

700 is a little ridiculous IMO, but I guess NYU can handle it.

I do have my MBA, but I don't remember all the particulars. Though, it hasn't done me much good, other than the new job I got 2 years ago. I think I edged out the others because of the MBA, but I haven't been putting it to much use lately. I have to bug my bosses for more projects. LOL!

I just got mine... yesterday!! They're on the way. One thing I thought was odd though... is I only got 1 ME tag.... not 2. Do you know if they've changed that recently?? I was thinking I'd call them This weekand see about getting another. With Southwest I can check 2 bags... and since I have 1 filled with stuff for my Owner's locker... I'm going to have 2 bags.

Ok so....another 'What Would You Do' question :)

So on my first day this trip, I'm going to upgrade my ticket to an annual pass. Now my dilmna is...should I also buy a Tables in Wonderland card even though I'm on the DxDDP this trip?

For the January trip I'm DEFINITELY going to get the Tables In Wonderland card. I plan on eating at a few signature restaurants and it'll make it's money's worth on that trip alone.

The only ADR I have for this Sept trip is the Tea at the GF. If I used the TiW card, I'd save $6 or $7. I'd also use it for when I buy wine or drinks at our table service meals, although that would only save me $1 or $2 here and there. Don't think I can use TiW anywhere else, right? Only at TS restaurants and NOT for snacks and stuff? If anything I can use it for friends that aren't on the dining plan that eat with us. Not sure how often that will happen though.

If I pay for TiW in Sept, it's $75 less than I have to pay in January. I know it's still $75 but I'd like to get it out of the way.

Hmm...so what do you guys think I should do? I'm perplexed! lol

OH!!! and I just realized....

WE'RE FINALLY 30 DAYS AWAY FROM DISNEY!!!!!!!!!

We got the TiW card in May when we bought our APs. I honestly did not see a big discount. When you use the TiW card an automatic 18% gratuity is added, BEFORE discount. Plus the card is $75. So if my math is correct the following example would give a better idea.
EXAMPLE:
Drink w/o card(menu price) $9.25 + 18% tip $1.67 + tax .58 =$11.50
Drink with card $9.25 + 18% tip $1.67 - 20% of $1.85 + tax .46 =$9.53 thus the total savings is $1.97. It would take approx. 38 drinks to break even.

Now that is a very basic example, but it kind of gives an idea of what you should expect. Look at the menu price and your total check should be about the price of the items ordered.

I am getting so excited. Dallas and I watched ride videos last night and today. I can't believe we are this close :yay::banana::cheer2:.

Thanks for the advice :) I was doing calculations all day today too and know there's NO point in getting it just for this Sept trip. The only reason why I would get it this trip is just so I don't have to spend $75 in January. Already trying to pre-budget! :thumbsup2 I think this will be a last minute decision when I actually upgrade my pass to an annual on our first day. :)

ALL DOCUMENTS HAVE ARRIVED!!! :)

Today we received the remainder of the Disney docs...the vouchers, luggage tags, etc. But umm...since when am I married? All the docs say Mrs. Jennifer... :lmao: I'm not even going to bother dealing with that now.

I also got in the mail something I bought off ebay but I'll take a photo of it and post it on here later :)

I'll also be posting a list of things I need to buy/do before we go.

Can you hear me throwing my fit all the way from your house??? :headache:

I told Terry that it is a matter of national security that I have my documents TODAY!!! I am calling Obama... F-15 fighter jets are going to go to Disney and pick up my freakin' docs and hand deliver them to me... They can land on my street for all I care...

My mom has called 3 times this morning cause they are taking the kids camping for the weekend and she has no clue what she is doing... On the 3rd call I answered, "STOP CALLING ME!!!! I am waiting to hear from the travel agent and every time you call I think it is her!" So of course about 10 minutes later, she blocks her number and calls again... :headache: She thinks she is so darn funny...

27 Days left!!!! :) WOOHOO!!!!!!!

I can't believe the countdown is in the 20s! YIKES! I feel like I still have so much to do!

So time for a vent...sorry guys! I was looking for a new camera strap for my DSLR camera. My friend has an awesome Mickey one but they don't sell it anymore. So I went on ebay against my better judgement and found one I liked. It's not the one my friend has but I love it. It's a vintage strap from like the 80s that I totally remember when I was little.

http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/0/1/3/3/5/7/webimg/279130969_tp.jpg

I fell in love...so I quickly bought it. Well? I got it in the mail and it is NOT anything like the photo!! I'm so pissed!! It's a cheap replica, the metal is made of plastic... the photo of mickey is TOTALLY different! It's not even the profile shot but a dinky shot of Mickey's face. And it's shoddy craftsmanship. UGH!! The guy obviously either put the wrong photo up or figured that Mickey is Mickey and who cares. So I emailed him today and he said I can return it and he'll refund the money but I'm annoyed. :( They normally don't return the shipping fees AND I have to mail it back to him! PLUS buy the strap I really want. :confused3 Ugh. Sorry for the vent. Just seriously annoyed and it just reiterates why I hate ebay. This guy even had over 3000 positive reviews! :confused3 So now I have to go back on ebay and buy the one I want :( So sad.

ANYWAYS....

I finally started putting together a list of stuff that needs to be done and stuff that I need to bring with me (other than clothes). I still know I'm going to forget something though!!!

Bring
- Mickey Journal & pen (I showed you guys the journal I purchased earlier in the report!))
- Mickey camera strap - if I ever actually get the right one sent to me :(
- Moos - My flickr friends might have heard of these. They're tiny little cards that you can put photos and a message on. They kinda look like this:
http://us.moo.com/en/products/images/minicard_cutout.png
I bought them to give to CM's thanking them. I used a few photos that I took on past Disney trips and on the back I said 'Thanks for Making Our Trip Magical! The xxx Family' I think they're so cute! Haven't gotten them in the mail yet but I've used them before for other stuff and they're great. I'll post a photo of them when I get them.
- ADR print out and itinerary
- food list
- Disney helpful tips and hidden gems list
- umbrella (mom won't use a poncho!)
- DME and voucher paperwork
- Camera (xti & waterproof), 3 lenses, tripod, gorillapod, chargers (2), remote, memory cards (2 - in cameras), cords!
- laptop & laptop pouch
- lime green mickeys (if still have them)
- bathing suit?
- airline boarding passes
- puzzle book for mom (she loves word finds)
- garmin gps watch, charger, and usb stick for my runs (if I ever get a chance!)

To Do
- buy mom camera Done!
- buy moos - Done!
- buy camera strap AGAIN
- preorder photopass cd (?) - still debating this
- make sure someone can take our mail in for us
- request time off work (!)
- download more music and upload to ipod
- get laptop fixed at apple store (the camera doesn't work on. not necessary for Disney but still.
- look to see if still have old lime green Mickey heads from 2 years ago
- print out boarding passes
- make tip envelopes for mousekeeping
- get singles from bank for mousekeeping tips
- buy new purse
- download Lou Mongello's Fantasyland album

Sorry to hear about everything with Ebay! That site is a pain. I ordered stuff off there a couple years ago for Christmas and never received anything from the seller. Emailed her, no response. I finally had to put in a claim with Ebay and get my money back. :sad2: Have you checked Amazon? I've never had a problem with them.

That's the trouble with eBay. Never can be completely sure you're going to get what you think you're getting. Fortunately I haven't really had bad experiences with eBay, but I've heard many stories. I've thought about getting a different camera strap (I have the standard Canon one) but haven't done anything about it.

I just added boarding passes to my list. Somehow that didn't get on there. Also added an alert to my calendar to tell me to check in 24 hours prior.

You haven't requested time off yet? I did that in February (maybe I'm a bit crazy :rolleyes1).

I got the Photopass CD, but I'm splitting the cost with my parents. I figure it'll be easier than trying to hand the XSi off to someone and giving them a brief tutorial in DSLR. Heck, my wife is scared of the XSi; I can only imagine what some random person would think. :)

We're bring bathing suits; not sure if they'll be used, but I figure it's better to have them than not.

Need some sort of rain gear; another thing to add to the list.

I'm leaving the laptop at home. I can get on the Internet on my phone, and I have enough SD cards to last me the entire trip (I think).

I've been putting some CDs I haven't listened to in a while on my iPhone. A couple of the bands are from Jersey: Less Than Jake and Midtown. Listened to them a lot when I was in high school and at the beginning of college.

Should probably get some cash from the bank too. I hardly ever carry cash anymore.

Still have a lot to do here too...

So sorry about the ebay camera strap! That REALLY stinks. I've had good and bad experiences with ebay. One time I thought I was buying a cute black dress and it turned out to be the tramp dress of the century--and it wasn't the least bit cute :headache: But I just got a VB bag I bought on there and it's great. I hate that it's such a gamble...

Anyway...Your to-do and to-buy lists are great! I might have to steal some of them. We're still trying to figure out what all we still have to do before we leave on the 20th. And that's SUCH a good idea with the MOOS! I saw them for the first time at a graphic design conference in Austin this past summer. They're so awesome! And your idea is great--I'm sure you'll make the CMs day :thumbsup2 Good luck getting everything finished!

Finally requested off work, yay! :)

Bought a purse from Aldo...love their purses! They're fairly cheap and good for the season. I don't have to worry about ruining them since they're not too expensive either. It's a plain grey BIG purse but I'm going to use it as my carryon for the flight. It'll hold my laptop, etc so I'm happy.

:woohoo::yay: on 26 days! It's sooo close!

Ebay - I've always done pretty good by them. But it really is hit or miss on things.
My sister's wedding was a total Ebay wedding as I bought so much stuff there! She wanted a particular Precious Moments theme, so that was the only place I could think of. I bought all kinds of cute little things to add that special touch. My sis and her husband paid for their wedding as we don't have parents to help. Though, the fam and some guests was super awesome :grouphug: and their gifts to them were generous.

My bro and I paid for the photographer, her wedding dress and all the little things like the program, gifts given out at the church, cake topper, unity candles, welcome bags for the hotel peeps and the gift bags at the end of the wedding.

Harmons - I  them! I only mean to pick up one or two thngs and pow! Before you know it, the bill is $50! :lmao:
I have amassed quite a travel collection, so I don't think I need anything for December.

I hope your camera strap is awesome!!!

The camera looks nice. A friend of mine just bought the SX200. He likes it, but it pushes up the ISO quickly in the auto modes. Something to keep an eye out for.

I was just looking back up the thread and didn't realize how long my last post was. It was one of those stream of consciousness things where I was looking at your list and thinking "oh I need to do that too" and then typing it in. :upsidedow Not trying to hijack your PTR!

thanks! My waterproof point and shoot bumps up the ISO too all the time when in auto. But there's a setting where you can specify the Auto ISO value. I'm hoping this one isn't so bad. I'm not expecting mind blowing photos since I'm now a tainted DSLR owner :lmao:

Hey guys! So I've been meaning to post my photos of the camera, moos, bag, etc, etc but I had to drop off my macbook today to get fixed and totally forgot that I won't have the laptop for a few days! :( I should get it back by friday or saturday though so I'll post them then :)

I'm willing to wait!:thumbsup2

Strap - :thumbsup2
Moos (first time I've seen those BTW; pretty cool) - :thumbsup2
Apple -

Call me crazy but I don't make tip envelopes. I just write a note with the pad that's in the room and put the money under it.

I don't see myself taking my tripod everywhere. In fact I'll probably only take it a couple of nights, so I'm not really worried about how to carry it; I'll just hold it and if that gets aggravating I'll put it under the stroller. Camping chair bag might work though. Or you could just tie one strap from a messenger bag or something to both ends.

I love the moos - those are really neat! I might have to try to figure out how to use them for our trip next Dec.

My flight info didn't print on my ME packet either. We're not checking any luggage for the trip there, so I'm not too worried about that.

Congrats on getting married! JK - the last time we went to WDW, they had me listed as Master on the reservation. So not only was I the wrong gender, but I was underage as well. I do think they only have one address for us in the system, as opposed to the address for my second cousin once removed who went to WDW in 1982.

Oh - and I love the camera strap. I'm glad you were able to get a replacement.

Thanks Scott! Yeah, I don't think I'm going to make tip envelopes either this trip. I did a few years ago and they were cute and all but this year i can't find ones that stand out to me and aren't that much work!

I'm going to get the camping chairs that I left at my dads house this weekend and see if one of the smaller bags fits the tripod. Just think it'll be easier then carrying it without anything, even if it is only for a few hours!

Guess it's time for an update :)

I had tried to update earlier and found out that my report had been sent to the Completed section! EEK! A quick PM to the mods though cleared it all up.

I finally remembered to book the car service this morning for the ride to the airport. Thanks to MyMuse on here, she recommended a company that she uses and so far they were really easy to deal with! Only downfall is that they're coming to pick us up at 5am :( Blah! Early flights suck but then we get to Disney early..yay! I'm just hoping mom doesn't crash early and need sleep when we get there. We have an easy day though that day. Going to check in, relax for a little bit, then head over on the bus to the MK. Not even sure if we're going to go in or just head to the GF for Tea. It depends on the time. I just have to run into MK to activate my park pass so that I can upgrade to the annual pass right away. Then after Tea maybe we'll resort hop for a bit and then dinner at Citricos at 6:30. After dinner I'm sure we'll be tired so we'll either head back or wait until Wishes from the beach at 9. I'm thinking we'll be tired though.

So here's a quick update on my ToDo List...

To Do

- reserve car service - done
- go to Harmons and buy travel sized items - done/don't need to!
- figure out how to carry around tripod (old camping chair bag?)
- get singles from bank for mousekeeping tips - will do this with last paycheck before trip
- print out boarding passes
- buy mini umbrellas

i'm also putting together a master list of things To Do and Not Do in the parks. Yes, that's how bored I am! I'll post later on

And we're 17 days out!!!! :woohoo::yay::dance3::banana:

Hey hey! :) The Lou Mongello's Audio Guides to WDW are either a CD you can purchase or mp3 downloads you can buy (for your ipod, etc) and he goes into detailed history and descriptions of individual lands of the Magic Kingdom. So far he's only created Main St, Adventureland, and Fantasyland and I love them. Main St is one file if I remember correctly and he starts from the very beginning and if you listen to it when you're there, he points out things along the way. The Adventureland and Fantasyland Guides have individual files for each ride, etc.

I just found this pre-Trippie... Haven't read it all yet, but what a great start! I can't believe I didn't find it sooner. My MommaBear and I will be going down from 9/26-10/2, staying at POFQ.

Lets hope the weather stays great and the crowds are minimal. Here's to enjoying the F&W Festival.

OMG We're down to TWELVE DAYS!!!!

:banana::banana::banana:

I really think we have everything good to go. Went and bought mini umbrellas the other day so i can check that off the list. Forgot to grab the camping chair from dads but I'm sure I'll be back there before I leave! Other than that I just have to do online check-in and print out allllll the crap I've typed up!

Maybe I'll print out stuff now since I'm sitting here at work. :rotfl:

Since we're so close and I'm trying to pass the time away without losing my mind...I figured I'd post on here the attraction lists I made park by park. I wrote down what we want to do and what we definitely don't want to do. Why? Cause I was bored. Obviously I could have easily remembered all this in my head and just looked at a park map when we're there but um... bah!

So here's our Magic Kingdom ToDo and NotToDo List:

Magic Kingdom
Do:
o All of Main St (wander stores, City Hall, Vehicles, etc)
o Tiki Room (cause mom enjoys suffering through it!)
o Jungle Cruise
o Pirates of the Caribbean
o Pirate Tutorial :love: (hot Jack, please!)
o County Bear Jamboree (oldie but goodie)
o Hall of Presidents (can't wait to see the refurb!)
o Haunted Mansion (b/c we're foolish mortals)
o Small World (mom likes it... debating bringing my ipod :rotfl:)
o Peter Pan (didnt get to go on last trip b/c of long lines)
o Snow White (always loved... somewhat reminds me of Toad)
o PhilharMagic (best 3D movie at Disney!)
o Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (missed this last time too)
o TTA (nice and relaxing and want to go in SM!)
o Carousel of Progress (now is the time...now is the best time!)
o Buzz Lightyear (need to up my score!)
o Monsters Inc (all around cute)
o Splash Mt (?) (will only go if little/no wait or if someone else is with us... mom obviously won't go on so I THINK I'm OK missing it this year if I have to!)
o Thunder Mt (?) (same as Splash)
o Liberty Square Riverboat (?) (haven't done this in YEARS! nice relaxing ride)
o Mickey/Minnie Houses in Toontown (?) (ehh... if we have time)

Not Do:
o Swiss Family Tree House (too many stairs for mom and not worth it)
o Magic Carpets of Alladin (ehhh... don't need spiny rides for mom!)
o Tom Sawyer Island (just not interested?)
o Dream Along with Mickey (not a big show/parade family)
o Fairytale Garden (eh)
o Carrousel (again, spiny rides...eh)
o Dumbo (spinny ride)
o Ariel's Grotto (eh)
o Pooh's Playful Spot (if we had kids!)
o Mad Tea Party (I love it...mom? defintiely not!)
o Toontown Rides (back to that no kids thing again!)
o Speedway (I live in Jersey and drive in NYC. I've seen enough horrible drivers!)
o Space Mt (so sad!)
o Astro Orbiter (theres that darn spinny ride thing again!)
o Stich's Great Escape (ugh..NEVER! bring back my Alien Encounter!)

And since we're talking about the Magic Kingdom... I'm going to post my favorites from my trips when I was a kid! I have all my photos from 1980-1990 scanned. It's hilarious looking back at all these photos! Take a look at all the differences over the years!

As far as the lists go, way to go! Yeah, we're a no-go for all of the spinny rides too. We just can't handle them. Oh well...there's plenty else :goodvibes

The wait for Peter Pan was quite short when we rode, so hopefully you won't have much trouble.

I don't think I could go a trip without doing Splash and Thunder, especially Splash. My sister and I rode them during EMH (Hailey is like 39.8 inches tall and couldn't ride). Space Mountain is another must-do when it's open (and pics are coming of the interior on the TTA). There wasn't a whole lot to see, though. Most of the viewing area was blocked by construction walls.

There was no interest in my family to go see the refurbed Hall of Presidents. If I remember right, the last time we went resulted in a lot of napping. I was interested to see what they've done to the place.

What were they thinking with those Pooh and Hook costumes? Did they think no one would recognize Pooh without a honey pot?

My dad had a similarly huge video camera. In 1991 (or so), he recorded 10-15 minutes of the floor of the backlot tour tram because he forgot to stop recording.

Space and Splash are my two favorites. If Space was open, I would hands down park mom on a bench and run on the ride :rotfl2: Splash I most likely will do the same but we'll see. I just keep telling myself that I'll be there again in 3 months (omg!) so I won't have to wait long to ride, ya know?

The costumes are CRAZY! I can't believe how much some of them have changed!

I'm sure mom will fall asleep during Hall of Presidents but the past two trips I've gotten really into it. I think I've just started paying more attention to politics, etc so this stuff is really interesting to me. NEVER would have thought I'd say that! :scared1:

Love the flashback pictures!!! How great is it to have pictures from when you went to Disney when you were younger! I can't find any of the pictures of me and my dad's first trip to the World!!!!

12 more days...how exciting!!! I loved your Must Dos and Must Not Dos. I hope you and your mom are able to accomplish everything on your list!!!!

Thank you! Aww... maybe one day some photos would turn up! My mom has been so diligent with taking and storing our photos that it's been pretty easy. I know hardly anyone else is as nuts as she is about photos. :)

I hope we can do everything on the list as well. Last time with her we didn't do a lot in Fantasyland because of the lines. But we did get to do everything else. Only thing that might get in the way are our ADRs but we'll totally welcome the air condition and just do what we can!

I make do / do not lists too, even though I know perfectly well what I do and do not like to do! :rotfl: I think I do it for the same reason, it gives me something else to do for my trip!

EXACTLY! :worship: I'm glad a lot of us are on the same page :)

I love your flashback pics!! Those are great!

I know you must be getting so excited. Me and the girls always go down, every Sept, except this one. I miss being down there this time of the year. The crowds are so low. We are going next month though, want to be there for Halloween. You're going to have a great time!!!

The only "iffy" thing is character meals. I'm not so sure about doing those solo.I've been to just about every character meal solo. For the most part I've really enjoyed them. I always ask an adult at a neighboring table if they'll take my picture for me, and 90% of the time they don't mind at all.

I do think buffets are kind of annoying solo, but that's mostly because I don't like leaving the table unoccupied, so I feel the need to take my stuff up to the buffet with me, and then I worry that the server will think I ran out on the check, since I leave nothing at the table.

I've been trying to even out my trips...one to disney...one somewhere else. But then all these Disney events get in the way! I've been dying to go to Ireland so I'm TRYING to plan that for next year. But then I also have the half marathon in january that I obviously MUST go to. :confused3

I don't really tell anyone everything either. Or I leave a few things out. ;) Everyone knows I'm going in January but only 3 or so people know I'm staying after my friends leave for 4 days and staying solo. If anyone else asks I just say my friends from Florida are coming to Disney too and they're staying in my hotel room with me. :rolleyes1

I'm not big on solo character meals either. I still have yet to eat solo anywhere so the Disney trip is going to be a crash course. I don't need added stress with character meals! maybe one day...but I doubt it.

I don't think I'd do character meals solo. From the ones I've been to, they're really for the kids and the parents are there to take pics and eat.

Agreed... no solo character meals for me either!

11 Days Away!!!!! Tomorrow I can do online check it...woohoo!

OK so now on to Epcot's ToDo/NotDo List and Flashback photos...ready? Now on with the show!

Epcot
Do:
o Spaceship Earth (cute I guess..and mom hasn't seen the refurb)
o Universe of Energy (hate to say it...love this attraction. The smell when you get into the dinosaurs just brings back so many memories!)
o Mission Space Orange (this is a must for me. The only ride that I have decided I will do without mom. Just going to park her on a bench with ice cream or in the store, haha)
o Epcot Character Spot (we did this last time right at rope drop and it was awesome, hit the fab 5 all within 10 mins)
o Nemo (cheesy but cute!)
o Turtle Talk with Crush (just to watch for a bit, never have seen it)
o Imagination (nothing compares to the original but I loveeee figment, even in his new obnoxious form)
o Gran Fiesta Tour (relax out of the heat!)
o Maelstrom (mom enjoyed this last time although I had to convince her a million times the drop was nothing bad)
o Reflections of China (i love all these movies. china is on my list of places to travel to so it's interesting to me)
o American Adventure (by far my favorite attraction in the countries)
o Voices of Liberty (will see them multiple times for sure. I tear up every time and can listen to them all day. think they'll do my wedding on day?)
o Impression of France (cheesy movie but oh well)
o O Canada (usually hate martin short but he's entertaining in this)
o Kim Possible (MIGHT do... we'll see how hot it is and if there's a lot of people doing it too)
o Innoventions (skipped right through these last time but if we have time we'll browse)

Not Do:
o Test Track (honestly just not a fan and mom wont go on so not a big loss for me)
o Soarin (umm...no flames. i don't get the hoopla over this. it's fun for a few times then it gets old?)
o Circle of Life (nice video but WAYYYY too loud last few times I saw it. it hurts my ears let alone mom would freak out)
o HISTA (ugh... i'd rather sit through an endless loop of Captain EO!)
o Living With the Land (sadly closed...boo!)

Now on to the Epcot Flashbacks!! (PS...that tiedye Mickey shirt in 1990 used be my favorite shirt EVERRRRRR!)

Welcome! :) Do you have a pretrip report started too? Glad to see we're staying at POFQ at the same time! If you see me, stop by and say hello!

Oh...and your countdown ticker might be a little off..it says 3 weeks... but from my last count..we're 12 days out! :woohoo: ***OK...edited to add: Umm...now that I look at it, it says 1 week, 5 days. So it's right! I have NO idea why it said 3 weeks before!***

No trip report started, toyed with the idea of doing one but time always got away from me. I'd like to, at the very least, do a food report. I can't tell you the hours I would sit and look at food porn just to decide where to eat and what to order. :rotfl:

Your report is fun to read, especially waiting for MICKEY MAIL!! But now we only have 11 days. Hang in there... and I will be on the look out for you and your momma. I'll be wearing my lime green mickey with my baggalini bag! (thanks to the all the Disser's for recommending.) :thumbsup2

Spaceship Earth - great up until the descent, then falls flat. The screen thing is somewhat interesting but there's nothing around except black curtains.

Nemo was a fun little ride; it's nice to see a ride in The Seas again.

Imagination was okay; nothing compared to the original (they still play One Little Spark on the buses)

Everyone and their grandma is doing Kim Possible around World Showcase. Those phones are going off everywhere.

We slacked on doing things in World Showcase. I think the only attraction we did was Gran Fiesta Tour which was decent.

Oh, I don't think character meals for just for kids. ;)

I just don't want to do it solo simply because I will not have pics to show for it! :rotfl:

I probably will not stand in line for a character if a photopass person is not there (assuming I'm solo). Though, I'm not into standing in lines *at all* if i can help it. Maybe it's a Jersey thing. Thereby character meals it is!

This trip, I'm heading for Garden Grill for the CP package, but I will be with a friend of mine and her mom, who are there the same time as I. The other meal is CRT and I don't think there is alot of character interaction there, so I might keep that one, even if I'm solo. :goodvibes

Today we're at the TEN DAY MARK!!!!

I woke up this morning at around 6:30am (my normal time) and instantly thought about checking in on-line. So I grabbed my laptop and went to the Disney site. Online Checkin was a breeze, no problems whatsoever. Except... they STILL had my olldddd phone number in there, AND told me that I never gave my flight information for DME. :confused3 HOW many times have I talked about these two things on this pre trip report? lol way too many times to count!

Got the email confirmation and so now we're all set!

So previously I had discussed our MK and Epcot plans... now on to MGM/DHS. I will always call it MGM so bear with me. Our MGM day will be somewhat short. We have 7pm dining reservations at Kouzzina so we have from open to about 6pm, plus lunch at SciFi at 11:30am. I think we'll have enough time to do the big stuff that we want to do.

MGM
Do:
o The Great Movie Ride (just for sentimental reasons. my friends and i must have ridden this ride millions of times while waiting for Mickey Mouse Club show tapings!)
o Tower of Terror (My favorite ride at MGM... again..parking mom on a bench or store lol)
o Little Mermaid (probably my favorite show in the World)
o Toy Story Mania (obviously we're trying this out lol)
o Muppet Vision 3D (I think one of the better 3D shows)
o One Man's Dream (a must...I love looking at all the history!)
o Magic of Disney Animation (never did this before but really want to try drawing!)
o Rock n Rollercoaster (?) (awesome ride so we'll have to see about lines)
o Beauty & the Beast Show (?) (haven't done this in forever either so want to see it)
o Star Tours (?) (Not a must do for me since it's so outdated)

Not Do:
o American Idol (ugh. the real show irks me so probably avoiding this at all costs)
o Sounds Dangerous (blah...and drew carey annoys me lol)
o Indiana Jones (cute show but not a must)
o HISTK Set (if we were 20 years younger maybe lol)
o LMA Show (too loud for mom)
o Backlot Tour (will never be the same after they changed it!)
o Journey Into Narnia (never saw the movies and no interest)
o Playhouse Disney (again, if we were 20 years younger)
o Fantasmic (not worth the chaos for us!)

and now? MGM flashbacks!! Def not as many photos since it opened in 1989

Yay for 10 days! :woohoo: I know that's when my excitement really started going into overdrive.

Prepare to be disgusted at how poor the film for MuppetVision looks. Fortunately, they're working on something for it. Not sure if it's an all-new show or remastering, but something to fix it. MuppetVision is my second favorite 3D movie.

I skipped Star Tours even though I like Star Wars. No one else was interested and I've done it plenty of times in the past.

Yes, I stayed far far away from American Idol. I still don't understand how people get so worked up over a karaoke contest.

TSM was great! It actually has me considering going to get the Wii game.

I was a little bummed that we skipped the movie at One Man's Dream, but if we wanted to see LMA we had to go. Speaking of LMA, the stunts are cool, but then they take way too long getting the next one set up. Lots and lots of downtime and replays.

Hey guys! I've been MIA the past few days, sorry! I was in New Hampshire with friends climbing Mt. Washington. I'll try to post a few photos later tonight. It was a great time and helped keep me distracted from my Disney countdown!

Yay for 10 days! :woohoo: I know that's when my excitement really started going into overdrive.

The pictures I saw from the hike looked like fun despite the weather. It's been forever since I've gone hiking. Doesn't help that there's no semblance of mountains near here.

Just a little more than 5 days to go! :woohoo:

Hey everyone! So here's a few photos from our Mt. Washington hike and stuff this past weekend! It was really nice weather during the beginning of the hike. Then the weather completely changed and the last hour or so of the hike was in the rain, 20 degree wind chill, and 50-70mph winds! It was insane!!

I said the same thing about my phone. Surprisingly, it never died, between pulling up my Google Docs spreadsheets, WDW Wait Times app, checking my TripIt itinerary, tweeting, taking a few pictures with the junk camera, and whatever else I did on the phone.

Turn off anything you don't need (wifi, bluetooth, etc.) and turn down the brightness a bit. Of course, the Storm probably has a better battery than the iPhone.

J have you seen Nemo before? It was my favorite live show (better than FotLK IMO).

We had FastPasses for Everest and we literally walked in, got on a train and were finished with the ride in 9 minutes. FastPass indeed!

I generally agree your list, although we didn't do all the trails. I think my wife did Pangani while the rest of us rode KS, and we all walked through Maharajah (mostly for the tigers). A friend of mine from college was working inside the bat room at Maharajah, so you might see a CM named Tommy in there. He said he was going to be moving to Everest soon, though.

I really like that map on the wall at the Poly. That seems like something they should still do; put a nice property map on the wall in every room.

Sadly the Storm has a horrible battery.

One thing I have noticed is that my year old battery is no where near as
good and the new battery I just purchased. But, alas the battery life is one of
the Storms downsides. I hate when I am a BBM chat with my son and it goes dead.

4 More Days!!!

I really don't have much else to talk about regarding my trip! :rotfl:

I have to go to the bank today or tomorrow (probably today?) to take out $50 in small bills. As for carrying my tripod, I think I'm just going to carry it in my hand, the bags I have are awkward. There's still another bag I want to test out with it though. We'll see.

I finally started cleaning my room to try getting organized. I seriously have a million things thrown all over because of my NH trip and other junk just piling up. The pile of shoes in the corner of my room is ridiculous so those have to go back in the closet too. Cleaned off the dressers of all the clothes and junk mail and now have a lovely pile of just Disney information and items (umbrellas, etc). Hmm...I probably should dust and vacuum as well. I honestly can't remember the last time I did that. :scared1: (I swear I'm normally tidy..lol)

Also want to figure out what to do with my LGMH. I brought them last trip too and never put them on display. I might put one in my hotel window just so people know it's a DISer.

Hopefully laundry will be done tomorrow or Thursday. I have a ton of dirty stuff from NH and I'd rather it all be clean before Disney!

OK that's it for now. My coworker that's bringing his family for their first trip ever next week just stop by and had a million questions. I hope I didn't overwhelm him! :) I just feel bad because they missed their 90 day mark so they don't have a ton of ADRs booked! :(

Honestly I forgot about a LGMH and I never saw one the entire trip.

I didn't get as much tripod time as I would have liked. I should have brought it the first night but only had the Gorillapod. I only brought it the last night and then was so tired that I didn't want to stay out after Illuminations to shoot during EMH. Next time I'm going to use my tripod more.

Sounds like you need one of the 50s Prime Time Cafe wait staff to come nag you until you clean your room! :rotfl:

What are you freaking out about? Seems to me you've got just about everything all set to go.

I know a lot of people rent lockers to store their tripod during the day, but I didn't want to spend the money on it. The problem came in where even though we had the stroller, every time we went into an attraction we had to completely unload the stroller. So, do I really want to carry the tripod on all the attractions? Not really (I was getting sick of the mugs we seemingly had to bring every day), so I left it in the room.

Next time (whenever that is), I think I want to stay one more day so we would have a day off or something, and that would be a day to really pull the tripod out and carry it around.

Ugh...why am I freaking out and thinking the worst all of a sudden? I'm usually a glass half full type of person but now I keep thinking of everything that can go wrong. :scared1: I'm worried my mom will be miserable with the heat...she won't have a good time...we'll bicker the whole time. :confused3 I don't remember feeling like this at all last time we went in 2007!

Forgot to go to the bank yesterday so I MUST go today after work. Then tomorrow gonna head to dads for dinner and do some laundry. Didn't clean my room yesterday like I wanted to either. Oh well...hopefully today!

Psh... don't worry. It's possible she might hate the heat, not going to lie but my mom is the same way. So we just go through shops when ever we can, esp along Main Street or getting to/from the ToT/RnR area. We go see shows more often and spread them out during the day... there is also no eating at any restaurant outdoors if we can help it :)

Don't worry  most of us go through the close to trip freak out. Do you have a little fan to bring around with you? Bring it! Or buy one, I use a little Coleman on I got at Target for $2 and it works really well and the battery has lasted since our last trip.

Just posted about my mental freak out. :) I know it's dumb stuff! hahaha

Have a magical trip!!

Thank you! :cool1:

Relax! :)

The heat is what it is; if it's too hot, go into a store or an attraction, or go back to the hotel for a little while.

Didn't your mom have a great trip last time? It shouldn't be any different this time.

Mothers and children bicker; it happens. I don't think it's going to ruin the trip; it certainly didn't ruin mine.

Again, relax! Go get some money, clean your room and relax! In 3 days, you're going to be flying to Orlando and riding on DME to WDW. :)

I agree with La crosse...Each park has enough indoor attractions to step into when it's hot.

I, too, try to walk through shops as much as possible. At Animal Kingdom, the hottest park, I try and space the indoor attractions out. FOTLK, Nemo, ITTBAB, Dinosaur, Conservation Station. If it's unbearable at AK, I eat lunch at Pizzafari which has indoor seating. Both the merchandise locations around the Tree of Life offer rest from the heat.

At DHS, my favorite A/C place is One Man's Dream. Because of all the displays you can spend up to an hour in there. It really is quite nice. Voyage of the Little Mermaid is also nice and dark (Nap anyone?)

AT MK for sure hit the trifecta of A/C attractions==Hall of Presidents, COP and Country Bear! You can throw the Tiki Room in there as well.

I hope your worries wash away when you get on the plane and are on your way! But we're here for you if you need us...at least for the next few days!

It's because you have been planning it so carefully and want everything to be perfect.

Destress, relax, plan downtime or away-from-each-other time. Everyone needs a break. :goodvibes

Thank you guys  I know things will be ok... i had a slight brain fart. :)

I printed out almost all of the info that we need for the trip today at work. Bad thing is that I actually don't have a printer at home to print out my boarding passes on Friday (I work from home Fridays so I can't use the fabulous work printers :rolleyes1). My printer broke right before my last trip with my mom (yes in 2007) and I have just been too lazy to buy another one. Apparently I only need it for trips though so I'm ok :rotfl:

So talked to my dad and tomorrow I'm gonna head there for dinner and a load of laundry. I try to see him once a week and it's been two weeks since I last stopped by because of NH. Gotta get in some father daughter time! :lmao:

Also tried going to the bank today and they were CLOSED! :scared1: Actually...the drive through was open but I didn't have any slips or anything and umm... never did drive through! Yes I know...I really should but..I will eventually. :) So instead I gave my mom a task for tomorrow. :rotfl: I'm going to give her a check and she is going to go to her bank and withdraw the money instead, in singles. lol

Also finally took out the suitcases!!! :yay: So slowly things are coming together. I'll try to finish cleaning my room :) And then I'll start taking clothes out and finding stuff I have to iron (I have two pairs of shorts that get all funky after I wash them. After one iron though, they're fine until the next wash so they won't get ruined en route to Disney.

OK...going to watch a little Dancing with the Stars and then start on my room!

Have a great time, disneygirlinnj! It will all be fine. I worry about similar things. Are my kids going to fight the whole time? My mom and I don't bicker, but she's very passive and somewhat hard of hearing - I always worry that people will think I'm the worst daughter ever when I have to repeat something several times and then yell it at her so she can hear me.

I think many attractions at WDW are designed just to avoid the heat. Not that I don't enjoy them, but I remember spending many happy times in the Tiki Room and the Country Bear Jamboree to escape the heat at Disneyland.

I'm a little late to the game on the aforementioned freak-out, but can I just say I know exactly how you feel? I've started freaking out about our trip in December already and it's still almost 3 months away.

We will be bringing my DM with us and all we do is bicker. No huge fights, no blow-ups, no name calling or anything like that---but it's a matter of both of us always wanting to be right and it just leads to non-stop bickering. I'm hoping that being in WDW will take away any desire to fight and we can just relax, be happy, go on rides and eat good food. :thumbsup2 If not, this will definitely be a trip to remember---and I don't mean in a good way. :headache:

You are probably in the same boat with photography stuff too. That's freaking me out as well. What if I forget something, what if my tripod breaks, what if I forget my camera or camera bag on a ride. The list goes on and on---it's a bit insane.

What it all boils down to is that you have worked really hard planning this trip and your expectations are high. I think it's natural to have a bit of a freak out---it's your way of lowering your expectations a bit before you leave, so just in case something goes wrong you won't be crushed.

But don't worry. Nothing will go wrong, you and your Mom will have a FANTASTIC time and it will be better than you remember in 2007. It always is. :cloud9:

Can't wait to hear all about your trip when you get back!! :woohoo:

TWO MORE DAYS!!!!!!

OK, nerves are starting to calm down slightly. Now just trying to get through everything I still have to do.

I mentioned I took the suitcases out, right? Yeah well...that's about all I did last night. :lmao: I DID vacuum my room at least...still have to dust. I also went through all my electronics and piled up all the wires, etc that I need, except for what I'm still using up until we leave. Made sure that my moms camera and my camera wires are compatible (they are) so we don't have more than we need with us.

Totally FORGOT to give mom the check this morning to go pull out some cash. There's a TD Bank though right outside work so on my way out I'm going to try running there and hoping they're still open. I'm pretty sure they're all open on Th-Fri until 8pm.

Doing laundry tonight at dads so that will be out of the way...

Still to do....
- iron shorts (I guess if all else fails I COULD do it down there but I'd rather not!)
- PACK!
- double check electronics/batteries/wires
- try to print boarding passes, if not just get them at the airport
- threaten my friend Christina with her life if she doesn't pick us up bright and early.

Oh...did I mention that? I went running with my friend Christina the other day and mentioned that I have to call my other friend Nikki and make sure she can pick us up from the airport. If you remember, I didn't ask anyone to bring us there since it was so freakin early in the morning. :sad2: Christina had actually brought us to the airport last time (in 2007) so I would have asked her for a pickup but she'll be away at a wedding. ANYWAYS...she asks how we're getting to the airport and I mention car service because it's so early and I don't want to inconvenience anyone. But...she quickly offered to drive us! I felt bad and repeatedly told her I don't want her to but she insisted and said she'll just drive us and then head back to bed when she gets home. Now I just have to make sure she gets her butt out of bed on time! :rotfl2: She only lives 2 miles away so it's not that bad of a drive for her.

OK.... time to finish up some work!

I rechecked all my electronics stuff 3 or 4 times. Need phone chargers, camera, lenses, flash if you have one, associated batteries, cleaning supplies, laptop, laptop charger, and any other electronics stuff.

I don't think Christina realizes what she's gotten herself into. It's not just a ride to the airport; it needs to be precise so everything goes according to plan. ;)

I have scrubbed tubs, swept and mopped floors, washed, dried, folded and put away clothes, watered flowers, fixed my dining table for fall, cleaned my bedroom door(sticky from the tape holding the mouse heads of the countdown calendar) washed dishes and made my bed. We leave TOMORROW!!!

Wow, seriously? I thought this day would NEVER come. :cool1:

So I whittled down the stuff I have to do a bit yesterday. Before work I actually quickly vacuumed my room so knocked that out early. After work made a quick stop to the bank to pull out some tipping money. Headed to my dad's house and quickly threw in a load of laundry. We then headed out to this yummy new restaurant, Fire & Oak for an early bday dinner for me (Michele, it's actually in your neck of the woods in Little Falls!). Me, stepmom, and stepbro all thought it was really good...dad thought it was fabulous. After the nice relaxing dinner, headed back to their house so I can finish laundry and get sucked into the Grey's Anatomy premiere.

So by the time I got home, it was already kinda late...around 11:30. Still managed to put all my laundry away (usually it sits there for a day) AND I dusted my room. They need a pat on the back smiley... :rotfl:

For some reason woke up at 5:30 this morning and bummed around. At 7am I logged on to JetBlue and quickly checked in online. Now I just need to go find a stupid printer!

Schedule for today?
10am... eyebrows
5pm...nails

I was going to go to Sears and get new front tires that I desperately need but I don't think I can squeeze in an extra hour and a half in there. My guilty conscience is thinking I should stay and actually work from home. :) I guess they can wait until the Friday after I get home from the trip.

Ironing and packing...I'm going to start doing that in a bit after I pull my body out of bed and go make some breakfast lol.
