I just made my ressie for this September. I did it through WDTC and the CM asked if I had any requests. I told her DH and I would be there celebrating our anniversary and we want POR building 27 or 14 corner room if possible.

Now, I understand that most people fax thier room request 3 days before arrival. Is placing my request over the phone sufficient? I have no desire to overload the room controller.

If you don't want to add anything, then you don't need to do anything more.

I always fax the room controller rather than call. That way he has it in writing and I'm not bothering him when he's busy. I usually only fax when I want to list alternate requests if the first aren't available. You may want to send a fax and "mention" about your anniversary. I've usually had good luck with requests when I send a fax.

I also made my requests on my reservations, however, I am going to fax them as well just before I arrive. It only takes a minute and you then know you did all you could in order to get your requests.

I've always faxed my requests and been very lucky with that. Hope you have a lovely time :). I kinda tend to think faxing is easier for the room controller so they have my requests and can consider them when it's possible, instead of taking a phone call.
