I have never ordered airline tix through Priceline. I am planning on traveling in late June/early July. Does anyone know if I'd be better off trying to get them now . . . or wait until closer to the dates of travel? Thanks so much in advance!!!

I have never used Priceline (http://www.priceline.com) for airfare, but I have used them several times for hotels. The only advice I can give you is to check out Bidding For Travel (http://www.biddingfortravel.com) before placing your bid to see what bids have been accepted in recent months. Have you also checked out Hotwire (http://www.hotwire.com)? They tell you how much the flight will be, but does not give airlines or travel times until after ticket purchase.

I would start trying now. We got our tickets thru Priceline 10 months in advance for our trip, and paid $115 round trip for 4 tickets from Fort Smith. I also took out the $10/ticket insurance, just in case.

We are going to WDW in September and I purchased our tickets through Priceline 6 months ago. Before bidding I read everything I could at Bidding For Travel and learned a lot from that site before making my bid and winning airline tickets and hotel reservations. I would begin bidding now for airline tickets instead of waiting till the last minute. Good luck with your bidding.

I would start now. I've used Priceline twice with great success. I would check out sites such as Hotwire.com, Expedia.com, Travelocity.com, etc. & then make a slighly lower bid than the lowest price you saw. Example:the lowest price I found last fall was around $150(Austin, TX to Orlando). I bid $130 & got it! I feel pretty good about that price. Good luck!
