I've noticed that the fish extenders are fabric, but I have no sewing skills or time to go out for some fabrics; is there a rule against putting up paper or cardboard fish extenders, in terms of fire hazard, etc.?

I've seen people use decorated gift bags in the past so I'm sure paper would be just fine....

Happy cruisin'!

You can do whatever you want.

There's also eBay. This is the route I've chosen. There are some fabulous FEs to be had there. Here are the current auctions....

I bought mine from ebay also but I only paid one cent but $8.00 in shipping. Here is one similar to the one I bought but I have Mickey Mouse on mine. I personalized it and it worked out great for us. Check out the seller. She may get Mickey ones soon...

I'm not sure when your cruise is, but you could order some canvas bags from oriental trading & use ribbon or rope to hang them together. They usually ship quickly. Just type bags in the search area. I tried to post a link, but it didn't seem to work.

I bought nylon bags, similar to lunch bags at the dollar store. I just hung ribbon from a dowel & fabric-glued the bags to the ribbon. I bought Disney stickers & foam alphabet letters & glued them to the bags.

They were really easy & I'm pleased with how they turned out.

That sounds like a great idea for those of us who are craft challenged.
Do you have a picture of it so I can get a better idea of what you did and how I could do something similar?

I found these cute mini folder/pockets at Target and decorated them with Disney paper; then I strung them to a "Cars" themed hanging memo board (also found at Target). We are cruising with my mom and aunt (they're in a separate stateroom); I know they'll love the surprises that we have planned for them!

Thank you for all the great ideas, everybody!

The only problem I forsee....if you have a good friend who decides it would be a good idea to put a nice cold beer in for you in the morning. :lmao:

As others have said If you have time you can order one from ebay. Or decorate a bag with stickers and disney paper. Do what you feel like makes you happy or works for you. Hope you have a magical trip.:thumbsup2

I'm sorry but I haven't been able to figure out how to post a picture. Mine are not on any URL, just in my computer's picture folder. If you PM me, I'll be happy to email a picture.

If my DH had even thought that was a possibility, he probably would have helped me make the FE.:rotfl2:
