Great trip report. Counting down the days til our next trip. Claire is adorable. :cheer2:
A little off topic: What program do you use to enhance your pictures? They are great, especially the ones that the color is muted.
I use photoshop...but I only know the basics in it. LOL!

I took a few classes at our Art Museum. 2 on digital and one on black and white film. I also have read a few books. I have a long way to go yet to do what I would like to do with my pictures.

Yes, I really liked it. Skip thought the selection was a bit odd, but I thought it was good, because it had some different stuff. It didn;t stop him from eating a ton either. LOL!

I just got back from my trip and the first thing I did this morning was get caught up on your TR. You take such wonderful pictures. I love the different angles that you do, like Paige's prom picture where I guess you are under them pointing the camera up.:confused3Anyway, you can see the sky behind them and I thought it was a cool angle.
Since I preordered the photopass cd this time, I grabbed every photopass photographer I could find. I always told them I pre-ordered it and I guess they took more pictures than I realized because I ended up with 251 pics. I could not believe it.
Both of your girls are so beautiful. You can tell Claire loves Paige and vice versa.

Yay, You're back. How was it? You must write a trip report. Great job at getting all the photopass pictures.
Yes I was down on my knees looking up at them when I took that picture. Paige doesn't like it, but it is one of my favorites!

I think I will do a TR, but it will be a few days before I get started. I have to get everything back to normal here first. What is the easiest way to do it. Do you do your updates on a word processer sheet and then cut and paste, or do you do it on here somehow? Also, what do you do to keep your photos from coming up huge? Everytime I post a photo it seems to take up the whole screen. I put my pictures in photobucket and then cut and paste the html line. Is that right? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

I put everything in word that I write, even the images and then copy and paste it. With photobucket I upload to the website size, I beleive, so it's smaller, and I also resize everything before I upload it too. Then you copy and past the IMG link which is the bottom one when the pop (or down in this case, LOL) comes up. I just paste each IMG code in my report that I am writing in word, and then copy and paste the whole section I've worked on when I'm ready to post the next installment. I also save it all, so I can go back and re read if I want. I also have this posted on a few other boards, so it makes it easier to keep up with them all. Some I started later, so they aren;t updated like this one is. I am acutally just begining most of it on 2 boards. LOL!

Hope you had a great Mother's Day.. I've been gone for a while and just got caught up on your TR.. Wow.. great pictures as always! I especially like the pictures of Claire when she was young.. I can't believe she walked at 8 months! And that peacock outfit.. too cute!!
We also ate at CP on our last trip at WDW... I think it was around the same time frame you ate there too.. I think you are right and they had a good different selection of food. I actually liked it there (I know some people give it bad reviews).. but if you like character interactions, I think it's a great place to eat... They give you enough time between characters to get food and actually eat it. And I like the idea of getting a break in the late afternoon and sitting inside for a little bit... Anyway, great pictures again! until next installment :)

I hope to get another update today. I know I'm going so slow now. LOL! We have Claire's class field trip to the metropark and it's supposed to be really nice today too, so I might be outside alot. And it's DH's birthday. But I don't think we're doing anything for that because he is in big time farming mode today. They are chopping rye and thats a couple day process.

They sure can get into troubel together. LOL!
Her cousin is bossy, and Claire takes it well. Usually Claire is the in charge person most of the time, but she sems to know her cousin won;t allow it, but if she gets mad, she doesn't hesitate to show it. Claire has thrown a few punches or scratches here and there. LOL! Of course we don't encourage that, but it is kind of funny sometimes.

Back to the trip report!
When I left off, we were eating at Crystal Palace and had seen Pooh and Piglet.....
Tigger was our next visitor.
Claire had a ball with him. He kept asking for the pen and she would hand it to him and then he would drop it over and over and she was laughing so hard.

Eeyore was quite a bit behind, so I got some dessert while we waited.
Another March started while waiting and I taped a bit of it, but it’s pretty bad. LOL! Mostly me telling Claire to follow Piglet. But she was snubbing him, she wanted to follow Tigger. Then a tall girl got in my way, so I stopped recording.

After we ate we decided to see once again if Jasmine was out. We passed by Rafiki on our way. I told Claire we would come back to him if he was still out later. Jasmine was out, but her line was cut off again. We asked and were told that she would be back out at 5:45 for the last time that day. It was about 5:10, so we ran back to Rafiki. We were the last ones to see him before he took a little break.

We ran back to Jasmines line and were second! YAY. We had to wait a few minutes before she came out and the line was filling fast.
When She did come out, everyone stood and got into the line more officially. Now I was always second. Never was “out of line” and we had our stroller. This kid behind us, (probably late teens) tried to jump in front of me. ***? I was here first buddy. Well normally I try to be careful with my stroller when I’m walking, but if you try to cut me off or do something stupid, you will FEEL my wrath, and he did! Don’t mess with stroller moms. Don’t be so stupid. LOL! I did say excuse me though.
I told the photopass lady that I had preordered the CD and she was a wench. She kept asking me where? And I said I “pre ordered” it. And then she said here or online? I told her online and she seemed mad about that, AND she didn’t take a lot of pictures either. And her pictures weren’t all that great….neither were mine though. LOL! And then I go to hand her my photopass card to scan and she pulls out a new on and scans it. UGH! I am on the last day of the trip, have used the same card all week, and most likely not going to get any more photos and she gives me a new card.
Well here are my pictures.

While we were in line for Jasmine, Skip decided he was going to head back to the room again. So we 2 hot chicks were on our own again. LOL!
I decided we should use the fast pass for Peter Pan then.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/peterpan.jpg
Claire was worried it would be scary, but she totally enjoyed it.
We were getting tired and decided that we would check the Fairy line again and then head out.
The wait was an hour still, so no go for us. I doubled checked with Claire to be sure she didn’t want to stay and watch Spectro or the fireworks, and she was sure she was ready to go back to the room.
We slowly made our way to the front of the park. I took these on the way.

As we are walking up, I decide I want to look in shops. They were packed, of course.
I still had that “other” sweatshirt on my mind…..the one I DIDN’T buy because it didn’t have the year on it, but I liked so much…..well I bought it. I just really liked it so much, and I knew I would wear it a lot too. ( I am actually wearing it right this minute. LOL)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/perwinklesweatshirt.jpg

Finally off to the bus stop.
The bus was packed. I had Claire sitting next to me as close as she could, the stroller between my legs and my bag on my lap. As we starting pulling into Pops driveway, I swear it felt like my butt was getting wet? Sure enough when we stood up, it was wet and the bottom of my bag was wet and there was a small puddle under my seat. NO!!!!! I didn’t pee my pants! My stupid lemonade had a slow leak UGH!
We went back to the room and got Claire ready for a swim. Skip took her out to the pool while I finished up the packing. I cleaned out the bag and took it to the laundry room to dry. I needed to use it on the plane the next day, so I couldn’t have a wet bag.

That is a cute sweatshirt!! Those are also cute mother's day pictures. Your children are beautiful, and you are one hot mama!!
When we were at MK my 7 year old son saw Captain Hook and was dying to see him. There were only 3 people in line so I told him to run up and stand in line while I parked the stroller and got my other kids out. While he was standing in line some tour group that didn't speak English came and cut right in front of him. I said,"Excuse me, my son was waiting in line." They looked at me with blank looks to which my husband says, " they don't understand you". My son just said it was ok he would wait. Well, at first there were about 6 or 7 people in this group that cut in front of my son. As soon as the group gets up to the front of the line, out no where comes 6 or 7 more families to join them. So now we were about 14 families away from seeing Hook. I said something to the character handler about how we had now been waiting 30 minutes and people kept joining the group in front of us and it wasn't fair that they could just walk right up, join their group, see the characters and not have to wait. The character handler then turns around and says loudly," Anybody who is not a part of this group needs to go back to the end of the line. Only people with the group can walk up.":mad::mad: I was so mad because she was ok with all these people seeing somebody they know and walking right up to the front of the line. It ended up taking us almost an hour to see Captain Hook. I wouldn't have waited if my son wasn't so adamant about it. Not to mention that it was also 97 degree's out and my 2 yr old and 3 yr old were going crazy. I ended up walking off with them and letting my husband wait with the older two boys. I don't know that I will ever get over that. It makes me furious just thinking about it.
Thank goodness your TR cheers me up.:dance3:

After the swim I decided to go to DTD and use up our CS and snack credits. I planned on going to Earl of Sandwich and getting some sandwiches to put on ice overnight and then eat them on the plane tomorrow morning. And then to Goofy’s to use up the snack credits. And I also wanted to buy something for my niece, so I figured we would stop in at World of Disney.
Claire wanted to come along with me. I wanted to do a quick trip there and back and then get settled down, maybe take a shower and get rested. NOT!
I swear there is no way to get there quick from Pop using the buses. You can get anywhere pretty fast on the buses, EXCEPT Down Town Disney.
I think we got in line for the bus at 8:30 and it we waited at LEAST a half hour for a dang bus to even come. We id talk to a couple of gals in line with us and they had been in line even longer, and said a bus had just left when they were walking out to the bus stop.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/waitingforthebus.jpg
We finally got there and ordered our sandwiches. Claire ate her chips right away. I got brownies for DH and I.
Skip’s plan was to go get a hot fudge sundae at the Pop food court while we were gone and then he was to beep me and tell me how many snack credits we had left. He beeped me while in EOS and told us we still had 3 left.
Good deal!
We made our way towards WOD store. The bag with the food was getting heavy fast. I wish I had brought my canvas bag along…but it was still in the dryer drying.
We stopped off for a picture.

we did our shopping and picked up a Jasmine figurine doll with the rubber dresses for my niece and then a Mulan one for Claire. I asked for a big bag so I could put the sandwich bag in there too. I had drinks in that bag and it was killing my arm. Well the big bag was really heavy too. LOL!
We stopped on the way out for these pictures.

I have posted picturs on here from 3 different cameras. The family shots are from my point and shoot a Canon A540. The two of Claire playing are from my newest camera, a Canon 50D which is expensive.
Some of the other pictures I posted in the trip report are from my Canon XTi, which broke recently. I used that and the point and shoot on the trip.
The newest version of my XTi is an XSi. I think they go around $500 or more with a basic lens.

Way to go with the teen! Here's to stroller moms! :lmao: I can't stand being cut off in line! The Mother's Day pics are beautiful! I got my DD the same shirt as Claires in the last pics (instead of gray, DD's is pink). She loves wearing her WDW shirts though and points out the characters! Did you get pics of the food from EoS or Goofy's? These 2 things are MUST-DOs for me! I think we'll be driving to DTD instead of the buses after reading this!!

I actually got that shirt last year on our trip. LOL! I did get some pics, but they aren't very good. I'll post the EOS one in my dining report, eventually. LOL! My next installemtn should have the goofy treats, but again, not a very good picture.

Great update , love the MK pictures ! It's always so sad when your walking out of there on the last day :(
The thing with the Jasmine line and the stroller was too funny , I do the same thing though you cross the line and your heels get clipped !:rotfl2:
The Mother's Day pictures were so sweet , looks like you had a great day :)
Sounds like DTD was crazy as usual , the pictures of Clarie there are adorable though :cutie:

How rude:sad2: Too bad you didn't have Jen's stroller, you could have mowed them all down. That kind of behavior is enough to make me want to start throwing punches - butttt I maintain my self control so as not to set a bad example for the kids. No one wants to remember their mom being cuffed and hauled off to jail:rotfl2:

OMG! you go away to deal with crises for 2 days and you get so far behind.
I've had DH sick, DS home for 3 days sick. Went to my friends daughter's funeraland been to the vet wit same dog three times. Let me just tell you when you have to call in the vet at 5:ooam, you automatically become the surgery assistant as there is no one else there. Being a nurse, I'd love to share all the gory details but I'll spare you - just suffice it to say. She had to ask DH to leave because he was getting very pale and she told him she couldn't handle another pt at the moment beside he doesn't have enough legs to qualify for her expertise:rotfl2:
Okay you will have to give me the details on how to work the photpass thing when I pre-order online. I can't believe your last photopass person:sad2: Your pics were definitely better than hers.
I so enjoy the topiaries at Disney. - they are all just amazing. They have to be one of my very favorite things.
Enjoyed the mother's day pics. Beauty definitely runs in your family - Your mo looks great. Was she like 12 when she had you?:lmao:
I'm glad you got that sweatshirt before you left. Now you don't have to keep fighting with yourself about not buying it. I think the opther one is my favorite though.
I love that pink dress that Claire is wearing. She looks gorgous in it. It's my second favorite next to the dress she wore for BBB pics. That pink is a great color on her.
Do they just not have a lot of buses running from Pop to DTD - I might have to drive there is the wait is that long.
Jen, you TR is the very first one I started reading , and I am so sad it is coming to a close. I'm gonna miss you if I can'tpost to you every day.:guilty:

I like it, but I am still getting used to it. I am slowly reading the manual too to learn what all it has to offer. I am also trying to practice on focusing better. I'm iffy on the new one. I have a telephoto thats pretty good and another one thats decent , a 50mm prime that I love, and I was hoping this new one would be really sharp, but so far it's iffy.

After World of Disney we worked our way over to Goofy’s. DTD was packed. I was so irritated all these people were getting in MY way. LOL!
I swear I must’ve went into Goofy’s while mostly idiots were working! UGH. I looked at the candy “menu” and decided I want to make 3 sets of 3 pretzel rods to use up the credits. The girl said they only had on paper left to fill out and she would look for more. Well she just disappeared forever, and then came back and looked and left again and said her manager had to go look for the main one to make copies. Now this is DISNEY….shouldn’t they have a bunch of these made? I told her that could I just get 3 sets of the same and right what I want on one paper. She acted like I was crazy for wanting 3 sets and that doing 3 on the same paper was going to mess up the system. But she allowed it. Then a guy came out and he was going to get them started while she did some more wandering around doing nothing.
He was even SLOWER! Also he told me I couldn’t have white chocolate drizzled over my toppings because I already had white chocolate as the base and it wouldn’t make a difference in taste. Well to me it would’ve, but at this point I just wanted them to hurry up and get them done, so I didn’t argue. So we waited while this guy worked in slow motion.
After awhile the girl came to help him, but it didn’t go any faster.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/bigricecrispyonwall.jpg
Finally they got them done. This guy just had no clue. They are supposed to seal the bag with a sticker, but he folds the bag and puts the sticker next to it, so it doesn’t hold it shut in any way shape or form. He tells me to be careful with them, but I just wanted to leave and they did get smashed and stuck to the bag a bit…but what’s a little paper in the digestive system. LOL!
We headed over to the bus stop and sat down. It was crowded there. And again we waited and waited. 3 All Star buses and 2 Fort Wilderness buses came before the Pop one came. The nthe ride is so long back. You have to stop on the other side of DTD before you head back to Pop.
Claire and I were very tired and happy to be back. We stopped off at the laundry room to pick up my bag out of the dryer and went back to the room. I needed to get ice for the sandwiches and of course Claire had to tag along. I was half way there when she comes running out of the room crying. So I went back, got her, and we took a quick walk around the lake area and then got our ice. I finished up with getting things set for the morning and then we went to sleep. I don’t remember for sure what time we set the alarm for, but I know it was early. I think 5.
And that was the last full day at Disney….Boo Hoo!

I missed Goofy's on the March trip but finally remembered to go in on the May trip. I was so confused with how to order, etc that I just didn't order anything. LOL!!! :lmao:
I think this is the first time I've seen Claire in pants/jeans!
I want to go back in December. A friend of mine's mother bought into DVC and they are staying at Bay Lake (is it open yet?). Do you think I can stowaway at their place? :lmao:

I read so much about the Disney cruise and it sounds so fun. I would like to do the 4 day one. I know DH won't go for a 7 day one and the 3 day would be nice, but just too short. I should started reading to him about it so he can see all the fun things there is to do. We went on a Norwegian one a few years ago, before we had Claire and I loved it. He enjoyed himself, but he was antsy on the day at sea a bit. But I think with Claire along we would be busy. And there are so many things to do and also just relax, which is what he always says he wants to do.

This pic of Claire is so funny. It's like she's saying "COME ON ALREADY!" I'm a bit shocked the CM told you that you couldn't have the white chocolate drizzle. Why should they care? You ordered it! Silly CM.
That extra stop at DTD drives me crazy when I'm in a rush or eager to get back to the resort, and it's so rare when someone is actually there to get on the bus anymore since PI closed.

March 14
Saturday
Our departure day
Boo Hoo is all I can say.
The alarm went off very early and DH jumps out of bed and gets ready. That made me MAD! All week he was tired and not getting up, which was fine, but on the day we are leaving he wakes up all excited and has more energy than he had the whole trip. This guy is just way to obsessed with being at home with his cows. LOL!
I made a few comments on this as well. He tried to play it off like he doesn’t want to get in our way, so he’ll get ready fast, and how he doesn’t want us to be late either. What ever!
I get Claire up and she is crying. Not because it is so early. She doesn’t want to leave Disney. She even pleaded to her daddy…. “Please can we stay longer daddy” How can you resist this. LOL! I dressed her and since she was so tired, I put a fresh pull up on her. She still wears one to sleep in and I was worried that if she fell asleep for most of the way back we could possibly have an accident…but in the end it wasn’t needed, but better safe than sorry.
Claire and I snack on a pretzel rod for breakfast. LOL! We end up snacking on these through the day, but Claire likes the plain pretzel part and isn’t too impressed with the toppings. DH won’t touch them. YAY. I had these (all 9 of them) finished in two days.
So DH goes out practically empty handed to get the car. Claire and I drag ALL the luggage out to the spot I thought he was going to be waiting. (he seemed to do the same thing when we arrived, and Claire and I dragged all the stuff to our room then)
I wasn’t thinking loving thoughts about him at this point. We go to the spot and he’s not there. I beep him and he was in front of Classic Hall, but I didn’t know that was wear he was going, we had gone around the side near the 70’s section, where he had dropped it all off before.
One side note, as we were walking up we saw a couple sleeping on lounge chairs. They had a bedspread on them and were totally out. LOL! I wish my hands weren’t so full so I could’ve taken a picture. LOL!
So we load up the car and head off. Our last view of Pop was early AM in the dark.
Claire was still crying. She cried almost the whole hour drive to the airport. She couldn’t get comfy in the back seat to sleep and just didn’t want to leave. We stopped off at a gas station to refill the rental car and about then is when she settled down. That was just minutes from the airport.
Skip pull up and unload us and we wait for him while he drops off the car. So many people that walked in commented on how cute Claire was. AWWW!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/muchtooearly.jpg
Skip comes back and we drag all the stuff into the line for Allegiant. Holy Cow, the line is mega long. I can’t believe all these people are going back to Toledo. Then we find out that the line is also for Fargo…but then ladies call out that they would like any remaining passengers for Fargo to come up to the head of the line. Only ONE couple goes up. LOL! The guy makes the comment about who else in there right mind would go to Fargo.
We finally get checked in and then got through the long line of security. Claire always panics when we have to take off her shoes. Like she may never get them back. And Skip is just not a helpful guy. His mother must’ve never taught him this kind of stuff. I have to through the bags up and the shoes and stroller and camera equipment, and all of Claire’s too, and our coats, while he takes care of the one bag I make him carry and his shoes and coat, and phone. Now I always seemed to do our stuff faster than he can as well.
We get a seat and Claire and I go off to buy some drinks to take onboard. Before you know it, it’s time to load and we are homebound. Clair never fell asleep, but mostly played her game.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/gamesontheairplane.jpg
Notice that little patch of white behind her hair? Well it is this.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/planetoe.jpg
The person behind hers foot. LOL! Skip kept telling her to bite it and tickle it. I told her not to bother the poor person. LOL!
I mostly wrote in the journal to catch up with the days I was behind.
Skip and I ate the EOS sandwiches, but Claire isn’t much of a sandwich person, so we just took her home (and I ate it later that day )
When we landed the girl behind Claire stood up as we waited to exit. I told her how were laughing at her toe and that Skip told Claire to tickle her, and her friends were laughing so hard.
We got off the plane and found my dad and off to get the luggage. We live very close to the airport, so the ride home wasn’t long. Of course Skip’s annoying brother is beeping us the minute we have the phones back on and wondering why he’s not home yet. He does this EVERY trip. And then he goes on a long list of things that Skip has to do the MINUTE he gets back. Of course Skip is all too eager to do them as well, but it is really annoying. I mean give us a minute to get home. So I tell Skip this. He was in the backseat with Claire and he goes on with this “you gotta understand…” type speech, but I swear he hit the two way button on the phone as he was saying it. Like he was talking to me on the phone. When his speech was done his brother beeps him and asks him *** he’s talking about. LOL! He did beep him and the speech went to him too. But of course that just makes me look bad to his brother I’m sure, if he understood it.
Oh well, not my worry.
So we get home and take the luggage in and then Skip is dressed for work and out the door. I do a little unpacking and Claire lays around watching TV because she is soooo tired. I also then check in on DIS. It’s been a whole week. LOL!
And that’s pretty much our trip!
Thanks for reading.

I am so sad your trip is over. I love the final photo pass pictures of you and Claire in front of the castle. They are so sweet. Your Goofy Candy trip sounds like a nightmare! Thanks for sharing your trip, I really enjoyed reading it.

I would lov to do a girls trip, but Claire made the comment to my mom the other day that she canm't go to Diosney without her dad. He always comes, she said. LOL!
So I guess it may be a few years for that.
My mom told her she should work at Disney when she gets older, and thats when she said it. And then we said, that Dad would have to work there too then. LOL!
She asked me the next day where they would live, and I told her they had lots of houses down there, and then she started thinking and asked where do Mickey and Minnie live. LOL! I guess she never thought about that before. I told her that they had a special house just for them and everyone else there too.

I knew it finally had to come to an end, but how sad! What will I do without my morning updates? I have really enjoyed your report. The pictures were amazing! I started following you right about the time you were leaving, since that is when I planned our trip. You have totally got me excited to take my kids. Thanks for all your time putting this together!!:)

I guess she is a Daddy's Little Girl LOL. Well then maybe when she is older she will want to do a mother daughter trip. Let's hope. Aww Mickey and Minnie lol you are right as she gets older she tries to put pieces together she will be entering the questions stage really soon. I remember my nephew asked questions about everything. I felt so bad when I didn't have all the answers but we looked them up eventually. lol She is one smart girl. When will she go to Preschool or Kindergarden?

She goes to 3 YO preschool this year and will go to 4 YO next year. This year is just 2 half days, next year we have the optrion of 3 half days or 3 full days. I signed her up for 3 halves right now, but most of her friends are doing the full days. I just don't know if I could go for that long in a day without her. LOL! And then she would be more ready for kindergarten whcih is 5 full days. DH doesn't say much, but he sounds like he prefers the half days too. I can change it if I want to though later one. I keep going back and forth.

Boy did you luck out at DTD? :rolleyes1 That's what happens when they do layoffs. They keep those who make the least and of course you get the least amount of service! How hard can it be to make a darn pretzel!?
Aww, Claire wanted to stay longer. Mean daddy! If mine asked Sidney to stay he'd be like SURE, okay. :rotfl: HE is the one we have to force to leave when it's time to go home.
I love the first pirate pic you took of Claire. That is so adorable! The color in the flowers, her look & costume....it's just precious! :cutie: We'd like to do a cruise one day too but the cost for a family of 5 is just too much. Maybe one day if my parents or sister go then I can "show" one of my kids in their room. That would be affordable. Being a family of 5 they force you into accomodations you could do without. I always feel punished because I have three kids! :sad2:
Your trip report was so much fun! I enjoyed it a lot. I feel like I know your family now and you guys are a lot of fun! Hopefully our paths will cross again and we'll get off our behinds and call one another.

I am actually about 35ish down from last Jan (2008) and even more than that from my largest. I gained ALOT of weight while pregnant for Claire and was depressed for about 2 years after I had her and the weight just wouldn't come off. I'm doing better now and it is slowly coming off.
I actually looked a little into lap band too at the time, but DH wasn't for it. I try to walk every day on the treadmill (or some form of exercise) and to eat better. The eating is getting bad again since the trip, so I have to try and tame it down a bit. I am back to exercising again though. After Disney I seem to go in a funk and can't get back inot the routines. LOL!

I know what you mean, we've been home a week and it has not been good eating wise or exercise wise (as in none) for me. I'm having a really hard time losing weight even tho I had been eating better and doing the walk away the pounds videos everyday for a few months before we left. You'd think I'd lose more than a few pounds. I'm not happy w/ the pics of myself from WDW and so it's not much incentive. My last baby was born 3.5 years ago and I've been hypothyroid since my soon to be 8 y.o. was born, plus I turned 41 in March, so it's just not as easy to lose weight anymore and very frustrating!! I'd be happy w/ 20-25 lbs, but ideally 40-45 lbs would be awesome!! But I am definitely in the same "after Disney" funk!!

Thank you. I will definately write one for next trip, whenever that may be. Or if we go on a cruise, I'll write one for that.
I am hoping to do the new pirate makeiver next trip..well not me, but Claire. LOL!
And I miss that the photopasses are no longer allowed here. But I do see groups are forming in Yahoo, only they aren't too busy yet. Hopefully that will catch on by the next time I go.

Do you have a listing of things to do next time? I know I do. :lmao:
And, yes, please let me know where the Photopass shares are in Yahoo. What a great budget cutter that is.
I wonder if they will do away with fireworks cruise shares as well? :confused3
It may fizzle out since they let individuals go on the cruises now. It's definitely on my list of things to do!

I definately would like Claire to try out one of the pirated cruises and do a pirate makeover. And I would love to try out some just basic activities like the cmpfire over at Fort wilderness, and maybe Mickey's Backyard BBQ sometime.

I've been on 2 Norwegian cruises and loved them, but really want to do a Disney one.
For the photopass share info, just search in the groups part of yahoo for disney photopass shares. There are several now on there, but most only have a few members an don't seem to have much traffic. I signed up for some of them and hopefully if/when we go on the next trip, more poeple will be there. But even splitting it 50/50 is better than full price.

Why of course we did , I can't go without seeing it . LOL We actually ate at Hollywood & Vine that evening so we go get an advanced seating for Fantasmic and were gonna do both . This was actually the only night we could do both of them , we had missed the other showings on our trip :( We decide at the last minute that we couldn't hold out till 11:00 for the second showing of Spectro , so we went to the 9:00 showing and skipped Fantasmic this year .

Your trip pictures were great - do you put them in regular albums or do you do scrapbooks for your trips? ;)
Last year I did a scrap book with some of the best pictures and the rest went into a photo album. But it took me so long to do. I actually finished it just weeks before we went on this trip. And very costly. I do not print all my pictures, but my more favorite ones and put all of them on a CD then too. I did the Disney photobook this year as well. It is costly and I won;t buy that again either. I will most likely just make a photobook through another site like shuitterfly in the future and then print the other ones I like.

05-22-2009, 02:36 PM
It is expensive, I have a CM consultant at work (although she retires in June) I got a Disney pack with papers, stickers, etc. for this trip. We did buy an all in one printer this Christmas that I have been experimenting with printing out my own pictures - mostly scanning old family shots in black and white and printing out copies for my sister - they came out really good - I hope my disney shots come out well too. I intend on taking many, many pictures this trip!
jenseib
05-22-2009, 02:42 PM
Printing at home is VERY expensive. It eats a ton of ink. I have an all in one too ,but I only print when I need something fast. My ink cartridges are around 25-30 each I think and I need to use a photo one and a color one when printing photos and it only does a few photos and it's gone. You most likely wil lbe better off printing them at an online source, or someplace like walmart or where ever prints are cheap.
VAYankee
05-22-2009, 03:00 PM
we've been lucky, of course, haven't printed out too many color pictures yet, but our toner is just running out now, I think I priced the dual pack at about $25. I really like the photo editing you can do on the computer before you take them out to be printed. When I booked our package, I think they give a coupon for one photo pass picture, which we have never used before, after seeing all of yours, I'm going to make sure we stop for photo pass photographers.

So Jen, I'm really struggling with getting the Disney photo album or just going with shutterfly or blurb. _ The Disney book looks really cute but I'm kind of put off with the fact that there are only 6 backgrounds to choose from and most of those limit the number of photos per page. Yet if I go with one of the others I can do a lot more pictures for less money, very professional looking but I lose the Disney themeing. Any thoughts?:confused3

I personally would go with shutterfly. It is the top photobook out there (so I've read) You get more pics for your money in it. They offer sales alot of times as well. The picture quality was MUCH better. The Disney backgrounds really aren't THAT noticable. And it was limited like you said and cost me an arm and a leg too.

I'll throw in that we have a photostudio here where you can send photos in to get printed, and I love shutterfly so much more. I get matte prints because I think they're easier to work with for scrapbooks (no fingerprints), and when I get them printed at my local studio, they come out looking grainy and bad, but shutterfly makes them sooooo crisp and gorgeous.
And Jen, I'm loving the "reject" shots. They're very cute - Cinderella waving is hilarious. And I agree with the PP who said that it's weird seeing Claire without pink hair.

I would sign up for shutterfly's email list, they send out sales A LOT. That way, know what you want (maybe already have it made up, I don't know if you can do that and just keep it) and then when the sale happens, send it out. You'll save a lot of money.
jenseib
05-23-2009, 07:56 PM
I've never heard of blurb before, so have no clue on what they are like. Shutterfly was voted number 1 book last year, and the picture qualitly is better than Disney's and snapfish and yorkphoto.

Don't mean to jump in, but I've stayed at Pop solo and loved it. It really has a great feel to it. This summer I'm trying All Star Music solo too. I have another short shopping trip to Pop this summer, and have been twice. I just adore Pop, but I want to try another hotel. I would look at the other levels, but going solo I don't want to pay the price of a mod or deluxe!
Thanks again for sharing all your trip with us, Jen.

I guess I need to check them out again. I'll check the resort threads. Or I'm a hotel :snooty: LOL!!!
I was looking for dedicated buses, not a million stops, plus quiet and ease of getting around. For my solo trip, I chose Port Orleans French Quarter. I did like it alot. I would stay there again with no problem.
The only other place I stayed in, is the sister resort Port Orleans Riverside and I barely experienced the resort.
I'm waaaay too frugal to stay at a deluxe, though if there is a big enough discount, I wouldn't pass it up. But I don't want to overlook Values either. Though, I was checking up on the Swan & Dolphin. I hear they have good prices and you still get majority (?) of the Disney perks.
Still lovin' your pics, Jen!!!

Since I started reading after you finished your TR, I wanted to wait until I had finished to post. GREAT TR!!! Claire is so cute. I never did catch how old she is? My DDs will be 3 and 5.5 when we go this August, I wish I could get the little one o pose for pictures like Claire did. I have a great picture from last year with both of them in front of the castle, DD5 is looking at me and smiling, DD3 has her back to me:rotfl:.
The one thing I wanted to jump in in the middle and comment on was the Lion King show in Animal Kingdom. We usually try to watch this show twice every trip because we LOVE it so much. We did catch the Nemo show last year, and we really like it, but nothing can beat the energy of the Lion King. It is my favorite movie, so that explains some of it lol. I even teach the girls the hand-jive before we go each year.
Thanks for all the great pictures, really gets me excited for our trip!!
And good luck with DD's surgery next month:hug:

Claire had her last day if preschool on Thursday. They did a moving up ceromony where they crossed over a "bridge" and now get to go to the 4 YO class. LOL!
They got to do bubbles outside after it and then we had a hotdog lunch.

Claire going over the bridge. Most of the kids did this slowly for fear of falling, Not Claire. She zipped over so fast I barely could lift the camera to catch a picture.

We said that too, since all the kids went back over the birdge when they got their certificate. LOL!

No they don't wear uniforms. Her school is a Catholic one, so once she goes into 1st grade (if we decide to send her there) she will be in a uniform. If she goes to the public school there will be no uniform though. Only one public school around her wears uniforms (Toledo public schools) and they just started that a few years ago. Other than that the only schools to wear uniforms are usually just the private (Catholic ) ones.

Thanks. My mom got Claire and my niece matching dresses and Claire wore it for Easter. she really likes it.
Today we went on this train ride thing with my mom and niece and it was nice and relaxing. The girls loved it. I took a zillion pictures of alot of nothing. LOL! But i'll post some here when I get them on the computer.
I also had to trim my nieces hair tonight (I am a licensed Cosmetolgist) and so I figured I do Claires too. I ended up taking a couple inches off and made it a long bob type do. She was mad at me, but I'm sick of the crying each morning when I brush it, so hopefully this will tame down the rats and make it a bit healthier.

I basically just printed most of them on magnetic paper. some were coardstock and I glued magnets on them. I did try to have our name or something personal on them so they wouldn't be stolen. Last year I used Mickey paint chip cards from Home Depot and put Disney stickers on them and 2 were taken off my door during the trip.

I had my TA add a request for the 60's lakeside. Should I go ahead and fax another request today? (We check in on Sunday) Also there are 4 rooms of us, do I need to get their reservation # too? and do you have the fax #? Also, I still need to order the photopass, should I do that this soon or wait until about Friday? Any help is appreciated. If you chose to fax, tomorrow(wed) after 4 would be the best time. Thats when I do it. The number is on the first page of the Groovier pop thread, along with a link to the fax I usually send. If you are putting rquest in for several rooms, you will need the number for each room.
You can order photopass now or when you get back. You have 60 days to use the code once you buy it.
